Pros

There is no place within the company where I can speak openly, so I chose to come here to speak~~

Cons

I’m going to expose certain people here!!!!!! The people listed below either previously worked at the same company or are part of a circle of friends and relatives who all know one another.

First

The IT Manager. He can single-handedly cover everything up and has done things that I personally consider deplorable.

For example, kickbacks from certain companies or matters involving benefits that only serve his personal interests.

Second

The Management Department Manager’s ability to do his job is worlds apart from what his résumé suggests. He claims to have more than 10 years of HR experience, but he lacks tact and diplomacy, and there are a whole bunch of things he cannot do! He still needs others to clean up after him! He is truly very good at causing trouble for other people!!

Third

The COO, who is far away in mainland China. All I can say is that he changes his position very quickly. Whatever the IT Manager or the Management Department Manager says, he immediately switches sides, without caring about what the employees have contributed. What happens most often is that he says one thing upfront and then stabs us in the back afterward.

Fourth

The Store Manager and Assistant Manager. I’m discussing these two together because I genuinely cannot see that they have this kind of experience. Many things are based on plans and proposals provided by their predecessors, and they have no ideas of their own at all!! Furthermore, you can tell from the way they speak that they have only worked in stores and have never worked at headquarters. They fundamentally do not know what this position requires! I honestly think it’s okay not to know, but don’t deceive people!

Fifth

The people in the IT Department. Honestly, when Jack was the only person in the IT Department, he also handled general affairs, yet he never responded to questions with the complete inability to provide an answer the way you do.

Now, whenever we ask you about something or ask for your assistance, we have to wait for a vendor to come, or even repair things ourselves. And I don’t understand—why does the company spend money hiring you? You have work on hand, but because not a single IT staff member knows how to handle it, everything can only be put on hold while waiting for a vendor? Also, I don’t understand why you suddenly need to replace so much equipment. A lot of it was perfectly fine!

Sixth

There is also the matter of recruitment. Is anyone in the Management Department taking it seriously at all?

What exactly is HR doing? The general affairs staff keep changing! Don’t you think that’s ridiculous?

If people keep leaving, shouldn’t you think about what the problem is and make improvements!

All of the above issues are still happening as of the day I am posting this, and these people are all still here.

I am still with the company too!!! I hope these people will conduct themselves properly. Don’t assume that because you are all trusted insiders, you can treat it as though those of us below you have no voice.

If you people in senior positions oppress us with this attitude, don’t blame us for having no choice but to speak out here!!!!

Pros

The company atmosphere is great

But that was before those people arrived

Previously, everyone at the company got along harmoniously

Cons

Then, at the beginning of March this year, a major personnel upheaval began

One excellent person after another was forced out

And the way it was handled was terrible

Now, all the senior managers seem to have (friend) connections—it feels like they are protecting one another @@

Any opinions or attempts at communication are ineffective

To the heads of the Administration, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Retail departments:

I hope you can lead the team with kindness instead of constantly doing things that cannot be exposed

And before lying or setting someone up ("setting someone up" may be a bit strong; change it here to "exaggerating statements")

please first assess how well everyone knows this person. Otherwise, what you are doing will only keep showing how low you can go

Don't even try to find out who I am

I am still with the company, and I will disclose everything you have done one by one

Pros

As previous commenters shared, the office indeed has surveillance cameras everywhere. Because of the nature of the product, if you experience sexual harassment at work, you can ask the company to provide the footage as supporting evidence. It can also prove how hard you work—truly a great benefit.

The company culture states that if you are not a good fit, they will let you go, allowing you to find a more suitable work environment sooner. How thoughtful!

Cons

Because everyone outside says the company has a rather poor reputation, the boss can only wear a mask when interviewing you. Please don't take it too seriously.

Free afternoon tea

Cons

1. If the boss likes you, you get promoted straight to heaven.

2. Once they’ve gotten what they need from you and you’re no longer valuable, they discard you and use all kinds of despicable tactics to force you to resign, because their labor bureau record isn’t good and they can’t accumulate too many cases at once.

3. At least one person leaves every week, or is laid off.

4. The “whisper” system—do you think only the boss can see it? I can too, hehe.

5. The most two-faced people are the boss and their spouse.

They’re also the ones who make the most changes, wasting everyone’s time. If you enjoy endless rework, you can go there.

Pros

It is true that there are all kinds of people—the same goes for employees and bosses. To speak frankly, my boss and the owner’s wife are warm-hearted. They even remind employees to take care of their health in hot and cold weather, and from time to time provide afternoon snacks. These may seem like small gestures, but they show that they genuinely care for employees as partners. Most bosses have serious big-head syndrome... but I have not seen anything like that at Qmomo.

The owner’s wife is constantly holding her phone and asking everyone what they want to eat, ordering meals for colleagues rather than asking someone to buy things for her and serve her. We all see her sincere and courteous attitude when discussing matters with employees. This warmth makes people genuinely willing to work hard together with the company. Sometimes it is not just the salary; treating people sincerely makes it easier to bring everyone together.

The company also has no so-called toxic overtime culture. Staying later does not mean that someone is considered more dedicated. Even when overtime is necessary, employees can submit an application on the same day, and the company pays overtime according to regulations. There are never situations here where a superior waits until just before the end of the workday to discuss documents with an employee, forcing them to stay and work overtime. As far as I know, one former senior manager was arrogant toward both superiors and subordinates. After repeated admonitions went unheeded, that person resigned. It was not a case of being kicked out simply because they were no longer useful. Many things cannot be judged solely by the outcome; regarding the process, justice is in the eyes of the people.

The company is still in a growth stage and, of course, is not yet perfect. That is precisely why it needs to spend money bringing in professionals to help reform it. If you join the company, the hope is that you can make value-adding improvements. This is the attitude that mature professionals should have toward work. The workplace is not a school, and no one is obliged to teach you everything. If you are smart, you should learn through practice, absorb knowledge, grow, and strengthen your own wings; only then will you be qualified to ask for a raise.

Those who are responsible toward their work and have sufficient professional abilities are welcome to join Qmomo.

Cons

Providing too many afternoon snacks can easily lead to weight gain.

Pros

I am the person involved, Ms. Tsai. The boss and I had always been friends privately, and that was also why I worked here. At the time, our work and personal affairs became completely intertwined, and in the end, neither side was rational enough and we handled things in the most extreme way! It even made the news!

Afterward, once everything had been dealt with and we had reconciled as before, I requested that most of the news reports be taken down. The remaining one has ignored my requests and has now become a weapon for people with ulterior motives to attack the company and steer public opinion!

Those employees who resigned can speak for themselves; there is no need to involve me to prove anything. I am still continuing to buy from and support Qmomo!

Based on what I currently know, the company is definitely a good company. The staff are polite and stable, and I have asked about their salaries, which are also quite good. The products are getting better and better, the services are increasing, and the services are becoming more diverse. Those people with ulterior motives who keep using news from nine years ago to attack the company really make me wonder what their intentions are. I will continue asking them to take it down. People with ulterior motives can stop exploiting me now!

Pros

I’ve been with the company for over half a year, and along the way I’ve seen many colleagues come and go and witnessed many things happen.

Here’s another perspective for everyone’s reference:

The boss actually cherishes talent and values employees’ opinions.

They even established a monthly “whisper” system, replying to every letter one by one—it’s basically a wishing well.

Basically, as long as you dare to raise an issue, there will definitely be improvements, and they’ll often be made immediately that same day.

Of course, no one is perfect. E-commerce is under pressure from money and time every minute of every day.

These online reviews actually contain a lot of exaggeration and untruths.

If you were in the boss’s position today, with employees acting one way to your face while constantly undermining you behind your back, wouldn’t you be angry and disappointed?

These people receive bonuses and high salaries while criticizing the company online?

It’s true that there used to be no systems or management, but everything has now been comprehensively improved, and the internal atmosphere has become much better after the staff changes.

At least there are no longer the kinds of backstabbing and scheming colleagues that often occur among women.

Everyone is here to work seriously, which already takes up a lot of time.

The boss simply doesn’t have the time or inclination to watch the surveillance cameras to see whether you’re eating snacks.

Have you ever seen a boss tell employees to save money and not buy coffee outside, then go buy milk themselves just so they can make lattes for everyone?

A lot of the time, the intentions are good but are easily distorted by people with ulterior motives.

As for those who were laid off and came here to attack the company’s reputation, have they really never thought about why they were laid off?

During this time, I’ve genuinely seen many absurd situations involving colleagues at work. If you work conscientiously in your position, the boss is famously generous and never stingy when it comes to giving. As long as you truly have the ability, they would be scrambling to recruit you.

You can’t look at everything from just one side. E-commerce naturally has a high turnover rate, and unsuitable people leave.

It’s high-pressure and fast-paced, but the compensation and rewards are correspondingly fair and won’t shortchange you. Go look around at other companies; otherwise, if you’re simply not suited to this industry, don’t come.

Cons

People who cannot handle pressure and a responsibility-based system should not apply.

Pros

Aside from the workplace being beautifully decorated—which is purely superficial—there really are no other advantages.

Cons

1. The boss is a classic exploitative employer who is very good at making grand promises but never keeps their word.

2. From time to time, employees are asked to try on uncomfortable underwear that is still in the design stage (including sexy underwear), and photos are taken for documentation. Those who place greater importance on personal privacy should really think carefully about this.

3. There are many palace-intrigue-style dramas within the company, but the boss always says that the workplace does not reward sycophancy—their words sound better than reality. More than half of the company introduction on 104 is also made-up.

4. You have to be extremely cautious in everything you do and say. Even a minor mistake—for example, sitting down just after the store stops being busy—can result in being publicly condemned in the group chat as if you had committed a heinous crime.

5. The boss does whatever they want, with no rules, while believing their creativity is limitless and having an extremely inflated sense of self. They think their own brand can surpass Japanese PX brands and look down on other companies as well.

6. Most importantly, the underwear quality is worrying. The products are rushed out of mainland China; they become loose after being worn just a few times, the underwear threads come undone, and the underwear is extremely uncomfortable. This is the brand's core product—if the quality is poor, no matter how much money is spent on marketing and advertising every month, it is all superficial.

7. Few of the staff serving in the stores have professional knowledge about breast fitting, yet they speak as though wearing the company's underwear can definitely make one's breasts larger, creating a false impression. These are deceptive sales pitches taught by the company.

8. People work for more than just money; good corporate culture and career development are also important. Anyone who does not want to risk being dismissed at any time without explanation should really stay away from this company. Consider yourself warned.

Pros

Easy to get hired

Cons

The actual job duties were completely different from what was discussed in the interview. The salary was subject to haggling, and although they made it sound good, promises such as an absolute salary increase after three months were also lies.

The company’s systems are extremely chaotic and unprofessional. All company decisions are made by the amateur boss, with absolutely no respect for professionalism.

Work-related messages are sent late into the night. Failing to reply is considered a lack of commitment—classic exploitative, old-school boss behavior. Every day, you also have to do various pointless tasks to satisfy the boss’s personal whims.

No overtime pay/no employee benefits/sycophancy required/harsh salary deductions. If you enjoy working like a beast of burden as cheap labor, you can go interview there!

Pros

The office is beautiful, and there are discounts for original purchases.

Cons

The boss and the boss’s wife basically think they are the best and trust no one, yet they hire a bunch of people so they can humiliate them to boost their own sense of superiority.

The turnover rate is extremely high. Work assignments are frequently changed, but there is absolutely no adjustment period. If you are even a tiny bit out of line with the boss, you will be blasted until you question your entire life.

The boss’s wife appears to be a very nice person, but she complains about employees to her husband and tells him to humiliate them. Once, an assistant who had worked with her for many years was scolded by her husband beside her until she was sobbing uncontrollably and trembling all over. She did not say a word in her defense at the time, nor did she comfort her afterward. Truly, the most vicious of women.

Working here was probably one of the unhappiest memories of my life. Being humiliated made me question whether I was really that bad, but after leaving, I realized that I was not bad at all—the problem was this company.

Also, everything written online is true. I advise everyone not to volunteer to try it recklessly. You will waste your time and suffer severe physical and emotional distress, with nothing to show for it.

Very good at painting a rosy picture, making you think there are ideals to pursue. Employees who like to sweet-talk can all stay for more than two years. They like to change the same task back and forth at the last minute, training people’s patience. No matter how much you do, it is treated as something you should do, cultivating people’s ability to withstand setbacks.

Cons

The boss and his wife are two-faced, acting one way in public and another behind people’s backs. They make grand claims every day and maliciously disparage former employees behind their backs. The product quality is extremely poor, and there are frequent customer complaints, but they dare not face the product problems. Employee turnover is high, making it impossible to work properly. It is a family business: people recommended by several relatives and friends can hold important positions and must not be offended. The boss and his wife only listen to the words of close relatives and friends, but do not trust employees’ actual work. The systems and procedures are a complete mess.

I really rack my brain and still can't think of anything…

Cons

The inside is a complete mess.

The turnover rate is insanely high!

I don't know how many hundreds of people have cycled through each managerial position.

Every time someone is replaced, the policies change.

Everyone is forced to accept them.

If you don't accept them, you're told to leave or are laid off.

The boss is easily swayed and has no ability to make sound judgments.

Employees who work hard and take their jobs seriously go unnoticed.

As long as you know how to flatter people and have a better relationship with the boss,

you can climb very, very high.

In the end, only lousy managers and a bunch of incompetent people who cling to the company remain.

No wonder the company never improves.

It keeps going downhill.

The only way to save sales is by starting to offer discounts and incentives.

Aren't you supposed to be so capable that you never engage in price wars??

I'm advising anyone thinking of joining not to waste your time!!!

1. Very easy to get hired, very easy to deceive~ Because the bosses and managers don’t understand anything, and it’s a family business; a bunch of royal relatives work there, and their IQs are basically all about the same. At one point I wondered whether they even had brains as organs. If they don’t, that’s truly enviable! That way they won’t suffer from diseases such as migraines or cerebral congestion!

2. A “Long live the Emperor, long live the Emperor, long live the Emperor” old-school boss who feels extremely good about himself. Everything other people say is bullshit, and he doesn’t keep his word; he has absolutely no credibility. Promised things are withdrawn without warning, with no announcement or discussion! Very subjective! Extremely domineering!

3. The bosses and managers are unprofessional, pretend to understand, and put on airs. They seize the credit, shove every pitfall onto the employees below them, and when something goes wrong, shift the blame and say it’s all someone else’s fault! A wonderful learning environment and role model for anyone who wants to accomplish great things!

4. Every so often, you hear the boss loudly berating employees—and he just keeps going! He must be afraid the employees don’t understand how deeply he loves them and how sternly he reproves them! What’s more, you can hear the content of his tirades from more than 25 meters away~ Such powerful projection from the dan tian! Truly admirable!

5. Very easy to rise through the ranks! Professional expertise? Not needed! Expertise is bullshit? Flattery is the true way! As long as you know how to flatter, and can win the Emperor’s favor, you’re guaranteed to rise! You’ll master being a manager on your first try! You can even jump three levels in a row, fighting monsters above your level! Going from a junior manager to COO or CEO within three months isn’t just a dream! It’s truly wonderful!

6. No need to work honestly! Those who work honestly are instead subjected to all kinds of abuse. Life is short! Why take things so seriously? As long as you step on the corpses of these honest workers to climb upward, you can climb very quickly~ Why not?

7. The system is a complete mess; it changes whenever someone feels like it, and everything is chaotic—just have fun! Rules are made by people, and people are flexible~ Freedom is the true way. This is a perk you won’t encounter at ordinary companies~ (No, I was wrong—this isn’t a company, it’s a factory! A lingerie-processing factory! So awesome!)

There are simply too many advantages~ (See the description above)

... ?

Cons

“An incompetent commander exhausts the entire army” is the best haiku for this company.

Basically, this company is a family business, and the rule is that whatever the boss says goes.

The company’s systems are a complete mess. If the boss likes you, you’ll soar—you can even be made the manager of three departments at once. It’s absurd... there’s absolutely no professionalism. If the boss doesn’t like you, there’s no need to say more. Orders changing from day to night are very common. When the boss is in a good mood, there are afternoon snacks, welcome parties for new employees, and birthday celebrations. When the boss is unhappy, everything quietly disappears, and the boss will even target certain employees they dislike by withholding the three seasonal bonuses and taking back benefits they had promised. There is no announcement or discussion—utterly lacking in credibility, as if they think employees won’t notice.

The company’s middle managers are also almost all acting as accomplices to wrongdoing, or else deceiving those above while concealing things from those below. They do nothing but trick the boss and exploit junior employees, while allowing people who can’t do anything but talk to make a mess. The extent of the chaos is beyond ridiculous. Those who work honestly instead suffer all kinds of abuse, with no relevant planning or discussion provided. When dealing with vendors, the boss pushes matters onto the managers, and the managers push them onto those below. Being set up by your own colleagues is truly a remarkable experience. If you’re thinking of joining, take care of yourself.

Of course, there have also been some good managers, but unfortunately, most of them couldn’t stay long or were forced out because they wouldn’t follow the unprofessional boss’s orders. Some managers are relatives of the boss; if they accidentally step on a landmine, they’re quickly out. Personally, though, I think it’s better not to waste your time staying here.

The only thing that’s really nice is probably the office.

Cons

There is a lack of staff, people come and go, and the turnover rate is high. They only tell you to be more patient. Even on holidays, there is an endless amount of work to do, and you still have to check messages after work. There is no particularly positive atmosphere; even in meetings, the supervisors have a lot to complain about. Work assignments are chaotic. On top of that, it is a family-owned business. Supervisors without family connections are treated like slaves, so employees are treated even worse. On the surface, they say you can claim overtime, but in practice it is another matter entirely. They tell you that everyone is having a hard time and say, “Please be patient and endure it~”

The employment contract does not comply with the Labor Standards Act. Even if you have worked for less than three months, you are still required to give seven days’ notice. The system is very strange, and there may be many other issues I have not noticed. Anyone considering joining should read everything carefully~

Before you leave, they will try to dump a whole bunch of things on you to do. HR even says that many people who left before still have things they have not finished handling……

If you are considering working there, please think twice.

Please, everyone,

really be careful.

Department heads keep changing, the accounting staff keep changing, and the HR staff keep changing.

The people who remain may not necessarily know how to handle matters or solve problems.

When it comes time to assign blame, they will aggressively pass the buck.

I’m sincerely asking everyone to think twice.

Employees are mentally exhausted.

Going back and forth over so many matters can really drive you crazy.

A supervisor can say something and then deny having said it.

Everyone gives a different account of the same matter.

It feels as though everyone is living in a different time and space.

104 says that it values talent, respects every story, and does not flatter anyone, but after you join, you’ll discover that everything is actually the opposite…………

Cons

At least one department changes managers every month.

The turnover rate is high, and the layoff rate is even higher; staff turnover is extremely high.

Every department is a complete mess.

The boss loves shouting and swearing at people.

I had already heard before joining that management was poor, so it was no surprise.

They are not good at hiring people. Because the boss is unprofessional, they do not respect professionalism, so professional talent never stays long.

They say overtime can be requested, but they often use various excuses to refuse requests. Emotional manipulation makes everyone afraid to ask.

Before the year-end bonus, they pressure people to leave, transfer them without warning, cut their pay, or find an excuse to make them sign a disciplinary warning. That way, they have a pretext for laying people off.

There are many punitive measures—suitable for masochists.

Encounter good colleagues.

Cons

There is no communication with upper management, and you may be blamed for having problems with your work.

The company has major problems with communication and information flow throughout.

Some managers may want to change things, but eventually discover that everything remains the same.

Basically, it has been this way for a long time and is still the same now.

Department heads are constantly changing, and many leave not long after arriving.

Sometimes a department ends up having no head at all.

When someone highly professional joins, they either sense that something is wrong and leave,

or upper management decides in various ways that they are unsuitable—transferring them to another department or dismissing them are all commonplace.

Please don't believe what is posted on 104!

The entire text says the opposite of reality!!!

The boss changes their mind about whatever they want to do whenever they feel like it,

including the salary structure, bonuses, and promotions.

The interview may present things one way, but after you join, it may be an entirely different story!

People who know how to ingratiate themselves go to heaven; hard work and actually getting things done are basically useless!

They simply take it for granted and expect you to endure even more!

Even if you have ability, you are not necessarily valued or given important opportunities; if someone lacks ability but there is a vacancy, they may be pushed into the position anyway.

Retail service staff need to be extremely careful about customer complaints.

Anything a customer says could send you into the abyss!

Regardless of whether it is true, upper management only believes what they want to believe!

1. The boss occasionally treats everyone to drinks, or orders better bento lunches for the whole group at noon.

2. There are group dinners and private movie screenings (if you stay employed for more than half a year, you should be able to experience these).

3. Employees, regardless of gender, may have the opportunity to see posts in a private group that has no male members.

4. You can meet many young female colleagues around your age.

5. Every day is full of drama, like palace intrigue. You may even hear the boss publicly berating his wife in front of the entire company.

Cons

First, let me respond to the whitewashing statements made by the boss or his family members.

1. The person who posted this must have experienced the incidents involving the several colleagues mentioned in the whitewashing post, known that the office was moved from the former Wugu office to the Taipei City office, and known the salary issues in such detail. But the HR staff have been replaced again and again. If you think about it, the only possible people who could have written the post are the boss and his family members or relatives. There are now no ordinary employees still working at the company who have experienced both offices.

2. “The boss keeps giving people opportunities.”

How many employees were dismissed after working for less than a month—or even just one day?

They are given no adjustment period at all. Many people are sent home before they even have a chance to prove their abilities. Where exactly are these opportunities being given?

If you make just one mistake, say anything the boss finds hard to hear, or offer a suggestion that is treated as opposition to the company, you are immediately dismissed!

What this probably means is that the boss keeps giving job applicants opportunities: the company’s vacancies constantly need to be filled by new hires, who are then dismissed.

3. “She took maternity leave early and stopped coming to work.”

Since Ms. Ke was mentioned, why not explain why she took maternity leave early?

That’s right! Everyone in the company knows, and there was a conversation in the main group chat! The boss asked a bunch of people who had no work-related dealings with her to comment on her work abilities. Is that fair? Not to mention the remarks deliberately made to ridicule and provoke her.

She became so angry after being provoked that she experienced abdominal pain and bleeding. Her doctor diagnosed a risk of premature labor and advised her to rest and protect the pregnancy, so she took maternity leave early. The person who posted this should also have seen the doctor’s certificate, shouldn’t they? And as soon as Ms. Ke submitted the doctor’s certificate saying that she needed leave, the boss immediately kicked her out of the company-wide group chat!

4. “A certain senior manager was arrogant in her attitude, both toward superiors and subordinates. After repeated unsuccessful attempts to persuade her to change, she resigned.”

This senior manager apparently worked there for about nine years. If her attitude was arrogant and repeated attempts to persuade her were ineffective, how did she end up leaving only after nine years?

A person’s personality shouldn’t be that easy to change!

So does this confirm what other posts here have said: “If the boss likes you, the value of your rights increases by 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000”?

So even if this senior manager really was that difficult, as long as the boss was happy with her, she could work there for nine years!

Now let’s talk about some memorable incidents.

1. One evening at around eight o’clock, the boss said in the main group chat: “Because the warehouse is short-staffed, [某某某] will be transferred to the warehouse to provide support effective immediately.”

This person was originally an English-language sales representative. The boss ordered her via LINE message to transfer to a completely unrelated warehouse position, despite her having professional English skills. She still came to work the next morning. Since she was no longer in English-language sales, the company wanted to cut her salary. She could not tolerate this treatment and resigned on her own. What is this if not using a transfer as a means of forcing someone to resign voluntarily?

2. One person had worked for nearly ten years at another well-known garment company and held a managerial position.

After seeing 愛桃子’s exceptionally well-written job posting, she wanted to take on the challenge. However, she was dismissed after working for just one week.

Based on her previous work experience, she appeared to be capable, yet the company rejected her outright after only one week of work.

She herself was not informed of the dismissal until the end of that day, and was told not to come in the next day. She was so stunned that she cried.

So even if you are capable, the company may not necessarily wait for you to demonstrate it. I advise people who already have stable jobs and senior positions not to come here for a challenge.

You may simply end up being humiliated.

Pros

1. The boss often treats everyone to food (once every 1–2 months)

2. The boss can discuss things with everyone (most of the time)

3. Music is played at work

Cons

There seems to be a discrepancy between the time points provided by everyone and the facts that actually existed. I’ll provide my observations from the year before last.

1. Turnover

I heard someone say: A certain former senior manager was arrogant in attitude toward both superiors and subordinates. After repeated admonitions went unheeded, did they resign?

(If this happened at headquarters, it must have been in a different parallel universe.)

Managers: Some are the boss’s relatives or friends; otherwise, they are... parachuted in? (Even the CEO is a company shareholder and a parachuted-in manager from Hong Kong.)

But I can say this... managers who are parachuted in without relying on connections leave even faster. (And many of them are real oddballs. I even experienced a personnel manager leading slogan-chanting sessions every morning...)

The managers who truly stay for a long time are genuinely capable of getting things done well. At the very least, they know what communication means! For example, a manager who had worked there for nine years left. I wouldn’t say she was exceptionally nice or had particularly insightful ideas about marketing underwear, but she was genuinely very good at dealing with people and handling matters.

Non-managerial employees: Few stay for more than a year, especially foreign employees. (It may be because after one year, work visas lead to increased salaries for foreign employees, raising personnel costs.) The company also seems unwilling to pay severance for more than one year.

Many foreign employees say they can’t continue working because of their work visas. But what is the reality? Is it really that difficult to obtain a work visa from the Republic of China government? Or are these foreign employees incapable and not worth the company’s assistance in applying for visas so they can continue working there?

(I have hardly ever seen a foreign employee stay for more than a year. If capable employees don’t come to the company while incapable ones are constantly laid off, should the company or the employees be the ones reflecting on the problem?)

2. The relationship between the boss and employees

Someone mentioned: In most cases, bosses have very serious ego problems... but I didn’t see that at Qmomo.

Of course you didn’t! Because by last year, the boss had basically stopped handling day-to-day matters. The company’s marketing was entrusted to the CEO (I mentioned his background earlier, but I don’t know whether he is still there) to manage, while the boss was responsible for supervision.

The boss probably just decides the company’s overall direction, and, as some people have said, treats employees to food, fires employees who are nearly at their one-year mark if he considers them “unsuitable,” and so on.

So it’s quite difficult to see the boss come out and talk to employees, let alone see what kind of attitude he has.

The boss’s wife appeared even less often. Her job was probably to commute to and from work with the boss, right? Also, she had to review the copy written by the junior editor: all the marketing department’s campaigns and fan-page copy. Besides having the manager review it, she had to look it over once more. That may be another story altogether. (I don’t know whether she continued supervising after the new CEO took over.)

3. Regarding overtime

Whether overtime can be reported depends on the manager and the nature of the work.

Manager: The direct supervisor is the one who has to approve overtime forms and leave forms. Whether the manager is willing to take responsibility is very important. Some managers, afraid of being held accountable by the boss, do not allow employees to report overtime.

Overtime that can be approved must be discussed with the manager in advance. In most cases, it involves launching a new product or an event.

If you can’t finish your own work, that means you’re inefficient! You are more likely to get the opportunity to report overtime when you support company work instead.

Of course, whether you can report it still depends on the character of your direct supervisor.

Nature of the work: It is almost impossible for the advertising and customer service departments to report overtime. The operations department depends on the event. The IT department (at least when I was there) reported overtime most frequently. As for the administration department (HR), the procedure was simple because only the manager worked overtime, so it depended on whether the boss approved it.

When I worked at the company, most of the overtime I reported involved helping the warehouse pack and pick orders or clear out inventory. The warehouse often lacked manpower and needed to rotate in staff from headquarters.

4. High stress tolerance in e-commerce? High turnover?

Turnover in e-commerce depends on each company.

If a company has low tolerance for employees’ stress, declares them “unsuitable” at the slightest issue, lays them off to save short-term costs, and the managers and boss are unwilling to spend time coordinating and communicating with departments or even discussing how to improve things and whether there are alternatives...

Then, not just in e-commerce—every industry is the same. Employees naturally won’t stay long, just as at this company.

It’s actually quite strange too—does no one see how good the boss is to everyone? The colleagues who have worked alongside the boss along the way are grateful, and the boss has continued to give them opportunities. Sometimes we saw this and would ask the boss why they didn’t respond. The boss said: “It’s okay, there’s no need to fight back. Justice is in the hearts of the people.” Honestly, I was also quite stunned. This time I really couldn’t hold back anymore. I felt it was time to speak up instead of letting the company keep being attacked without responding.

One colleague was Ms. Tang, a very proactive customer-service representative. The boss thought she was highly motivated and asked whether she would be willing to become a secretary. Later, she even wanted to demonstrate that she could be an executive assistant. She and the boss got along very well and joked about everything. After she left, however, she treated everything as real and posted a bunch of conversations that may not even have happened, or even embellished them. Would you let such a trusted confidante be your secretary? ... Only her boss could be blind enough to do that!

Another colleague was Ms. Ke from the design team. Her design ability was quite good. Normally, she acted like the big sister who insisted on getting everyone together for meals—as if you were an outsider if you didn’t participate—and she often made fun of and excluded others. At the time, we also heard rumors from outside saying that our company had cliques and that it was best not to join... Actually, it wasn’t hard to know that they were talking about her. The boss saw that she was also proactive and that her design work and creativity were both quite good. At the time, the company also needed a manager, so the boss wanted to give her an opportunity. The boss did not deny her an opportunity because she was pregnant; she was even promoted after becoming pregnant. When the company moved from Wugu to Taipei, the transportation allowance for employees who did not carpool via Uber was originally NT$2,000, but the company proactively increased it to NT$5,000. For other colleagues, the boss arranged two Uber cars every day to pick up and drop off colleagues living in Taishan and Xinzhuang. This designer, who had received a promotion and pay raise, was in charge of the company’s performance. She did not fulfill the matters agreed upon before taking office, even after they had been discussed and finalized. The boss was worried that performance would continue to decline, and the company relied on this one source of income, so the boss asked her to step down. (This was also known throughout the company because there were conversations about it in the group chat.) As a result, she said she could step down, but her NT$15,000 raise could not be touched. Later, an investigation found that an accounting error had put the additional pay and transportation allowance into her base salary. In the end, negotiations broke down, and she portrayed the situation as discrimination against pregnant women! Everyone felt that the boss was really unfortunate... In the middle of all this, she took maternity leave early and did not come to work, yet the company still had to give her the NT$5,000 transportation allowance. But I don’t understand why she should receive a transportation allowance when she wasn’t coming to work. Is it that the child who makes the most noise gets the candy? In the end, of course, she still got her way.

Most of the company’s employees are women. Every year, people get married, have children, and take parental leave, from the north to the south. As far as I know, there are still female colleagues currently on parental leave, and no problems have occurred. Everyone has been fine, and they have returned after finishing their leave. If the boss discriminated against pregnant women, how could colleagues still dare to take leave? They returned and continued working normally! Everyone really needs to think carefully about this~

Everything has two sides. If the boss only fired good employees, the company should already have gone under. Everyone sees layoffs as bad, but I think they are much better than maliciously withholding wages or bullying people until they can no longer stay. For those of us still working here, it really feels inexplicable. The company is getting better and better. When the boss sees everyone is tired, afternoon tea is never lacking, the snack cabinet is always full, and coffee, lattes, and milk are automatically replenished for everyone to drink. When employees have suggestions, the boss immediately implements whatever the company can do for everyone. For example, an employee previously mentioned that the company should have a coffee machine, and the next day a coffee machine, coffee beans, and milk immediately appeared. These are things those of us currently employed have seen. In addition, quite a few people have recently received promotions and pay raises. Given how bad the current environment is, and that this company can still operate like this, would you really think the boss is as some people have described?

Also, we haven’t seen the boss interviewing for senior positions lately. The company is working directly with headhunters instead, and we’re relieved!

I was there during the company’s most difficult period. A group of colleagues deliberately slacked off collectively and were “laid off.” If you hate a company, shouldn’t you resign? How did it become slacking off until you were laid off? This is what I saw from inside. I’m not trying to help anyone; I’m simply stating what I saw. Don’t fight!

At the beginning, no one taught me anything.

I just did the tasks I was responsible for.

Later on, whenever the boss thought of something, they wanted it produced immediately.

I had no idea what I was doing when writing plans and proposals; after everything had already been implemented, they would say they were dissatisfied and wanted it redone.

High chance of being hired

Cons

I strongly advise against this company. They are extremely fond of laying off employees, and even if you do your job well, they will find a way to force you out or have a supervisor come up with a reason to dismiss you. No matter how long you work there, it is always the same. The boss is highly emotional and often messages you privately after work, asking you to answer questions that are supposedly related to your “homework,” such as opinions about the online lingerie market. If your answers do not meet their expectations, they will belittle you with words like “stupid” or say that you are not very smart. Perhaps the boss thinks this is how to cultivate talent. The thing I fear most every day is opening my LINE. The company stages palace-intrigue dramas every day, yet employees are still replaced in batches anyway. You also have to be careful when the boss’s relatives come by—don’t laugh too loudly or happen to chat about something that could be reported back to them (perhaps they will think you are too idle and slacking off?). If you feel that your life has too little pressure and is too happy, you are welcome to apply.

I strongly do not recommend this company. You probably couldn’t count the number of employees who have been here for more than a year on two hands. The number of people laid off each year is probably close to 50.

I heard that even a very senior employee who had previously served as the person in charge (in name only) was kicked out as soon as they were no longer considered useful.

If you work here, it is recommended that you do not get pregnant. In addition to the incident about eight years ago involving the unjustified dismissal of pregnant employees/employees—

News link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r64mrObhhb0

—some time before last year, the company again found reasons to make things difficult for a pregnant employee and arbitrarily cut her pay in an attempt to force her out.

In the end, the complaint was upheld, and the wrongdoing was published by the Taipei City Government Department of Labor. Violation: gender discrimination.

Publication URL: https://web.bola.taipei/bolasearch/chhtml/page/18

Almost all of this company’s employees, other than the owner, are women.

Even so, the company was still found liable for gender discrimination, so there is no guarantee that this will not happen to someone else.

Even now, employees are often laid off without any legitimate reason.

Although the company has learned its lesson and does provide pay in lieu of notice and severance pay,

it is still very common to be told on the same day and sent home immediately.

Some employees arrive at work in the morning without knowing they are about to be laid off and even place a group lunch order together.

Before the lunch boxes even arrive, they are sent home directly. During your employment, you have to be mentally prepared every day.

Other issues include being required to join a huge number of company LINE groups, and having to keep replying to messages after work or on holidays.

The boss will even calculate how many hours it took you to reply to a message.

Employees are often required to do tasks outside their job responsibilities.

The company is run as a one-person dictatorship. If you express a different opinion or another voice emerges,

they will say, “We respect that employees have their own ideas. Then go your own way” (dismissal).

Pros

1. Overtime pay has improved. In the department I’m currently in, my supervisor reviews overtime requests normally and also reminds me to remember to apply for overtime (because it must be applied for on the same day). I’m not sure whether overtime can be applied for in other departments.

2. The new supervisors are all fairly easy to communicate with, and they are more flexible when handling matters. If I report that too much work has been assigned, they help redistribute it or even step in to assist themselves. If I mention that there isn’t enough time to prepare materials for a meeting, they can also adjust the meeting time.

Cons

1. Working hours end at 17:00, but overtime still does not start counting until 17:30, and you must work at least one full hour to apply for it.

2. Supervisors at the managerial level seem to still be working even when they are on leave. Occasionally, I still receive messages on holidays, but it is not as excessive as before—about two or three messages per month!

The benefits keep getting worse. The salary deduction for being late used to not apply for the first 30 minutes, but they are planning to remove the 30-minute grace period with no deduction.

Overtime must be at least one full hour before you can apply for it, and it can only start being counted at 17:30.

There are many restrictions on applying for overtime. If you do not work overtime, they say you are too idle and refuse to hire more staff.

They also keep messaging you on LINE during holidays, asking you to do various things, and overtime applications may still be rejected.

The company has surveillance cameras. The boss likes to watch the cameras and ask why you are chatting with others, even when you are actually discussing work matters. They jump to conclusions without understanding the situation. They pressure people to work overtime; even eating a snack that takes only one bite is called slacking off and deliberately trying to claim overtime pay.

They are extremely fond of dismissing people, especially before year-end bonuses or company trips. Someone is dismissed every month.

Many people are even fired after working only a few days.

Employees are required to help with try-ons. Anyone who refuses will be spoken about very negatively.

They use you and then discard you. Once they decide you have no value, they will find any excuse to tell you to leave. If a supervisor does not constantly speak on the company’s behalf, but instead helps explain the situation for employees (based on the actual circumstances, not to protect them), they are dismissed immediately because management believes talent is easy to find.

Ninety-nine percent of what the company says is a lie. They tell outsiders that we never do paid promotions, but in reality they do: they send underwear to various internet influencers and ask them to introduce the products and say good things about them.

It is a one-party dictatorship; everything is decided by a few people at the top, and there is no room for anyone else to speak.

After working for so long, this is the first company I have encountered that leaves me so speechless. I sincerely recommend that anyone considering interviewing here think it over very carefully.

A blood-curdling example! The day before yesterday, the company hired a social media video designer. After only two days, and having edited just one video, they immediately rejected her and dismissed her that same day. There was absolutely no prior training and no support for new employees. Most importantly, she was a foreign applicant with work-visa issues, so dismissing her suddenly and without any warning was extremely inhumane.

Most ironically, the managers concealed the fact that she was about to be dismissed and waited until the end of the workday, after she had finished editing the video, to tell her to leave. Although this may not technically be a legal issue, it exposed their ugly, selfish, and completely unempathetic side.

If you are considering joining this company, think very carefully.

You can listen to music. That's it.

I originally applied for a warehouse position, picking and packing orders.

But the supervisor thought I was suitable and assigned me to warehouse management instead.

The job involved transfer management, receiving new products, inventory management, and shipping to overseas locations.

The supervisor was parachuted in. They were pliable with the strong but harsh toward the weak, bullied those with less power, and were very good at flaunting their authority.

They had no idea what the people underneath them were doing. They only knew how to order people around and make phone calls. They would clap and shout, “Hurry, hurry, hurry!” at everyone, then go back to their own seat and sit comfortably. They were very good at finding easy, comfortable tasks for themselves.

Even when on leave at home, they would constantly remotely control the employees.

If you missed their call, you would get yelled at.

They were very good at making sarcastic remarks toward employees, yet thought what they said was hilarious.

They had the typical managerial mindset: when berating someone, they would criticize every aspect of that employee’s life.

They were a supervisor who only knew how to talk.

They did not understand the work yet kept disrupting the order in which employees carried out their tasks. Many employees still had to work overtime while on leave.

They also underestimated the employees’ workloads, thinking we were all very relaxed, and refused to help us get raises.

They were very good at making empty promises and talking about impossible things.

They could joke around with you to your face, but complain about you to other employees behind your back.

The supervisor believed that employees they considered merely adequate only needed to remain adequate; they did not make demands of or scold them.

But they would crazily demand that capable employees keep getting better and better.

Although we were all full-time employees, they only scolded the capable ones, not those they considered merely adequate.

They also could not accept people who were too smart or had too many ideas.

They only liked people who obediently followed their orders.

Even when short-staffed, they did not care. If they disliked someone, they would drive them out.

Working overtime every day was the norm. Although overtime pay was provided, working until 10 or 11 p.m. on a long-term basis was simply unbearable.

Even if you finished work at five or six, the supervisor would say you were leaving too early.

On their first day, new hires were not even allowed to leave at the end of their shift when they wanted to.

This led new hires to quit, after which the supervisor would say that new hires were not tough enough.

In short, I strongly do not recommend the Wugu warehouse position.

It’s still the same now. His personality hasn’t changed at all, nor has he changed his behavior, despite saying he would make an effort to change it… It’s still exactly the same!

The boss will dismiss people unreasonably, firing them for any random reason.

The boss of this company really loves firing people. Even the staff at the employment service center know that this company likes to dismiss people arbitrarily. I’m really not exaggerating.

The boss of this company has serious issues. Even if you’re very capable, articulate, and hardworking at this company, one day he may still dismiss you. He’s not afraid of having no employees.

Even if he values you one day, he may still dismiss you another day, or give you a reason you can’t accept, demote you, and cut your pay.

Because he can hire temporary or outsourced workers, or raise their wages. He has a lot of money and makes huge profits. He isn’t afraid—he isn’t afraid.

The company’s online, YouTube, and Facebook marketing looks fantastic, but the company itself is truly awful. The boss’s unreasonable behavior creates an extremely tense atmosphere and a great deal of pressure for employees in the company or warehouse, making it feel as though you could be the next person dismissed at any time…

The listing on 104 looks so attractive—what’s the point? Moreover, the boss discriminates against pregnant women. He puts increasing pressure on pregnant employees, and in the end he still dismisses them. He simply isn’t afraid.

If you really want to work at a company for a long time, I genuinely recommend not coming to this company… In the end, you’ll feel helpless, speechless, and angry.

Even after work, you still have to listen to the boss’s orders through LINE on your phone. If you don’t reply quickly, the boss thinks you don’t take him seriously. Even on days off, he won’t leave you alone… (emotional)

Please really think twice…

When you're unhappy, just think about the interview process this time.

Then you’ll feel fine—nothing could be worse than this. Does that count as a strength?

What is wrong with her? A long-haired crazy woman. As soon as I came in, she started making small talk about how some employee had previously come for an interview.

Then she bragged about how capable and amazing she was, and how she could do everything.

Then, “We don’t hire male employees~ hehe, would that make you feel very hurt?”

I was furious. Without saying another word, I left on the spot.

What a lousy person—she wasted other people’s time.

They replied the day after I submitted my résumé and asked me to come in for an interview immediately.

Cons

The interview location was not clearly stated. The email only said, “You can come in for an interview at any time.” It was vague and not very polite. Since the job posting was for Taipei City, I’m glad I asked again to confirm the interview location; only then did I find out that I was supposed to go to the New Taipei Industrial Park... The interviewer was not very friendly and looked annoyed when I asked questions, as if she couldn’t be bothered to listen. I spent a long time traveling to the remote interview location, only for the interview to end abruptly after about five minutes amid the interviewer’s awkward expression. It left a very bad impression. Not long after I left, I immediately received a reply saying, “We are unable to offer you the position.” If my qualifications were not what you were looking for, why arrange an interview at all? It was a waste of both our time.

An open and free environment, with music playing.

The worst interview experience I've ever had. The interviewer, Ms. Chang, was extremely sarcastic and disrespectful. She said things such as:

1. Why is your current salary so high? >>> Your company listed the salary as 40,000–60,000. My current salary is within that range. I never said your company listed it as 30,000 and still submitted my résumé! Why complain that my current salary is high???

2. You have a daughter—is that okay? I asked her at the time, “May I ask what concern having a child presents?” She said, “Everyone on our marketing team is single.” I immediately replied, “Is this discrimination against people with children?” Then I said, “Thank you for your time. I’m no longer interested!” Although Ms. Chang kept explaining that she didn’t mean it that way and was only saying that they often work overtime and she was worried that no one would look after my child >>> If your company does not want to hire people with children, please don’t invite them to interviews in the first place. You’re wasting candidates’ time and transportation costs. Everyone’s résumé includes family information, so please read the materials carefully, okay?

I hope people with circumstances similar to mine can avoid wasting their time interviewing at this company!
