Basically, this company is a family business, and the rule is that whatever the boss says goes.

The company’s systems are a complete mess. If the boss likes you, you’ll soar—you can even be made the manager of three departments at once. It’s absurd... there’s absolutely no professionalism. If the boss doesn’t like you, there’s no need to say more. Orders changing from day to night are very common. When the boss is in a good mood, there are afternoon snacks, welcome parties for new employees, and birthday celebrations. When the boss is unhappy, everything quietly disappears, and the boss will even target certain employees they dislike by withholding the three seasonal bonuses and taking back benefits they had promised. There is no announcement or discussion—utterly lacking in credibility, as if they think employees won’t notice.

The company’s middle managers are also almost all acting as accomplices to wrongdoing, or else deceiving those above while concealing things from those below. They do nothing but trick the boss and exploit junior employees, while allowing people who can’t do anything but talk to make a mess. The extent of the chaos is beyond ridiculous. Those who work honestly instead suffer all kinds of abuse, with no relevant planning or discussion provided. When dealing with vendors, the boss pushes matters onto the managers, and the managers push them onto those below. Being set up by your own colleagues is truly a remarkable experience. If you’re thinking of joining, take care of yourself.

Of course, there have also been some good managers, but unfortunately, most of them couldn’t stay long or were forced out because they wouldn’t follow the unprofessional boss’s orders. Some managers are relatives of the boss; if they accidentally step on a landmine, they’re quickly out. Personally, though, I think it’s better not to waste your time staying here.
