I can't think of any advantages.

Cons

A terrible company that you absolutely must not join

There is nothing good about it at all.

They are constantly luring people in.

It feels utterly ridiculous.

A major debtor—how could it possibly have any advantages?

Cons

It has come back from the dead again. An exhibition will be held at Grand Hotel from December 5–8; anyone seeking repayment, hurry there.

The owner of this company is outrageous. In 2024, because he had failed to pay labor insurance, health insurance, and labor pension contributions for a full year, the Enforcement Agency forcibly seized and auctioned his assets (there was news coverage). He still ignored it, and then disappeared without even paying the employees’ salaries.

Moreover, the owner was already bankrupt. Before disappearing, he would sometimes borrow money from employees or borrow money from outsiders and ask employees to act as his guarantors. He would also ask employees to use their credit cards to pay some of the company’s internet expenses. It was completely outrageous.

In addition, one of the owner’s usual tactics was to tell customers that goods had to be pre-ordered—he would collect the customers’ money first and then place the orders for them. However, starting in April last year, after collecting payment for the goods, this owner disappeared and stopped responding. The employees in Taiwan were also hounded by customers demanding refunds, but the Taiwan employees had not even received their salaries, so where would they get the money? In the end, the customers could only report it to the police. Unexpectedly, several years later, the owner has now returned to Taiwan and is recruiting on 104. This company is truly problematic. Don’t be lured away by the salary he offers—you don’t even know whether you’ll actually get paid.

Pros

The arrogant boss went bankrupt, which makes people happy 🥳

Cons

Congratulations, congratulations—finally went bankrupt, buried in debt. Given this boss’s way of doing things and abuse of incompetent supervisors (especially that accounting manager), bankruptcy was unavoidable. But I’m kindhearted; if I ever see this boss begging on the street, I’ll still give him five or ten dollars. Congratulations~

According to employees who are still there, the company's cabinets are already empty because the boss owes taxes and has become a major tax debtor. The court, the Ministry of Justice, and others have gone to this company to seize its goods, and it has also started to owe employees wages. It is probably going under.

Pros

Don't know

Cons

When I first joined the company shortly after it was established, the owner's many practices and words... were truly astonishing. At that time, the mainland Chinese economy was still doing fairly well, but recently the other side may have encountered funding problems, so operations here in Taiwan may also have been affected! At first, I thought the owner was quite generous, but they were extremely emotional, and I eventually left on bad terms. I remember hearing a colleague say during a meeting that employees were not allowed to defecate at the company (I wasn't there at the time). It was truly unbelievable. Now that I've heard so many people mention it, it really did happen. Fortunately, I realized early on that I couldn't stay and resigned. It was simply outrageous.

Pros

There are absolutely no advantages; applicants, please consider carefully.

Cons

During the interview, they will paint a rosy picture, telling you that you are exactly the talent they are looking for and describing how much authority and what benefits they can offer you. In reality, once you join the company, you will find that things are vastly different from what you expected. After you join, they will start nitpicking over all kinds of trivial matters and constantly demand efficiency and results! (Even after meeting the performance targets, the performance bonus originally described was not provided.)

The boss will ask you to get involved in a little bit of everything and proceed according to the boss’s wishes, but in the end will still criticize you for having such poor performance. Most of the time, however, you are actually dealing with a bunch of matters that the boss says are unrelated to performance.

The boss will also constantly instill in employees the idea that the boss is supporting the company and keeping the employees employed. They will also repeatedly lecture everyone about maintaining existing clients and developing new ones. After account passwords and permissions are changed, and after anything is completed, you will report it to the boss. But the boss will still repeatedly ask about the account passwords and operating procedures. Be sure to preserve complete records of your conversations, so that in the end the boss does not decide that everything was the employee’s own fault. I heard the boss is also very good at laying off employees. Yes, I was one of those laid off, too XD

The boss said that, in order to show respect to a particular supplier, all correspondence and even messages should be written as “country name + XX company + Manager XXX” to show respect for that manager. As a result, a simple purchase order email would be filled with repeated instances of “country name + XX company + Manager XXX.” Something that could originally have been handled in 5–10 minutes might take an hour of confirming everything with the boss before the email can be sent to the supplier. (The key point is that you will still be criticized for being so inefficient, while the boss repeatedly says “Hurry, hurry, hurry,” pressuring you to deal with things quickly, with absolutely no awareness that employees need to concentrate while working.)

Three months after I started working there, “late salary payments” began to occur. The boss would not explain the situation to employees individually. Even when employees repeatedly asked about their salaries, the boss would not proactively respond about when the salaries would actually be paid. If the boss said anything, it would be relayed privately to our colleagues, who would then pass it on to us.

Another situation was that the boss would say there were not enough funds available to pay salaries and require employees to work hard to sell inventory before salaries could be paid. Previously, the boss had notified our colleagues to use payments received from customers for their purchases as salary payments to employees. Later, the boss asked my colleague how they could possibly use customers’ purchase payments as salary payments. Anyone considering interviewing there, please think carefully before deciding whether to go to the interview.

Customers waited two months and still did not receive the products they ordered because the boss would not ship them—either claiming to be on a business trip or simply being unreachable. The most outrageous part is that the company paid salaries on the 10th of every month. In the latter part of the following month, I was notified that my salary for the previous month had been docked due to insufficient performance. Since I should have received that salary on the 10th, I was so shocked that I could only file a complaint with the Ministry of Labor.

About a week later, the time came when the boss notified me that I was being laid off. I figured that staying at a company where salaries were paid late and where I was constantly harassed over my work was not a sustainable long-term plan. During the layoff notice period, besides job-search leave, I wanted to take personal leave for interviews. The boss relayed to my colleague: “The job-search leave provided by the government is for attending interviews. There are only two days left for the handover, so personal leave ‘should not’ be granted anymore. Besides, the company still has to process payroll on Saturday and Sunday, while they do not need to work.” The boss also told my colleague that if the business duties were not fully handed over, the company would not pay severance. In addition, the boss was very good at verbally bullying employees and was often out of touch with the situation. Two days before I was about to leave, the boss asked my colleague to record a video of employees working. I directly told my colleague that I refused to be filmed. This company had once grown to the scale of a large company occupying floors one through five, but now has fewer than five employees. All I can say is that the boss must have a very big heart—not noticing any of their own problems. Anyone considering interviewing at this company, please carefully consider your future career development before deciding.

Pros

There is no company worse than this one. Do not come.

Cons

Although this is what senior colleagues online advised, I still joined this company. No one applies for jobs here, so anyone who applies is guaranteed to be hired. All I can say is that I started out full of hope and worked very hard at my job. The reality is that the owner of this company is even more despicable than the seniors described. He stays at the company all day and never goes out, just watching for employees to make mistakes so he can find an opportunity to lecture, reprimand, and instruct them. Laying off employees is a common occurrence, and you never know when it will be your turn, so you live in fear every day. I originally wanted to contribute my strengths, but this boss crushed that as well. Yet we all know that the boss is the one who makes mistakes most often. He forgets everything and even scolds you for supposedly remembering incorrectly. He knows nothing, yet still insists on instructing you. He has no connections of his own and relies entirely on the networks of former employees. He has no ideas of his own either and simply uses the ideas of former employees. Most importantly, the marketing budget is pitifully small—only 4,000 or 5,000 yuan a month. Then he gives you a hard time, saying that having no results is your responsibility. Worst of all, just because of those 4,000 or 5,000 yuan, he asks every month how the money was spent and where it went. You can only place ads on LINE and Facebook—could there possibly be money left to buy other advertising? With such a tiny budget, he still expects you to generate one million yuan in revenue every month. If you cannot, it means you are incompetent. He often insults you and then lays you off. This is the truth; do not disbelieve it.

Cons

During the interview, they acted very generous, painted an attractive picture, and said they gave employees plenty of room to develop. Once I joined the company, I found out that it was all lies.

It was clearly agreed that, as a salesperson leaving my previous company, I would bring my previous company's clients to this company and help it add a new product line. I already had a list of clients, all of whom had maintained long-term relationships with me at my previous company. When a salesperson moves to a new company, it naturally takes time to notify each client one by one.

But the owner of this company is extremely narrow-minded and does not trust employees at all. He thinks every employee is slacking off and making exaggerated claims. Just three days after starting, he insisted that the new salesperson learn every product in the Chinese gold and silver coin range and memorize the price of every coin. How could anyone memorize everything after only two or three days at the company? The agreement made during the interview—to use this salesperson's expertise to help the company add a new product line—was repeatedly obstructed by the owner. I had no way to truly make use of my abilities, and then the company happened to be attending an exhibition in southern Taiwan. The owner even wanted the new salesperson to drive there. The new salesperson had only just bought a car, and the owner wanted to take advantage of having an employee with a new car that was convenient for transporting goods. During the short exhibition, the employee had to transport several large boxes of gold and silver coins—far more than could possibly be sold. I have no idea what the owner was thinking. After asking current employees, I learned that no one wanted to go with him. That showed how much everyone disliked him and how badly he had failed as a person. I regret not checking this site before joining the company. Working here was a complete waste of time. Fortunately, I have now resigned, and a sales order worth NT$2.5 million came in immediately after I left. This company simply is not destined to make money.

During the exhibition, only one new salesperson went with the owner. When the salesperson needed to use the restroom, the owner told the employee to wait. The owner himself then disappeared for one or two hours without saying where he had gone. Also, when the employee wanted to eat lunch, the owner said they could not eat outside and had to buy a boxed lunch and eat it at the booth. After working outside for more than thirty years, this was the first time I had encountered something so absurd.

When customers came to buy things, the owner would say one thing one second and something else the next—one moment saying, “Quick, quick, quick,” and the next asking why the employee did not know what to do. He carelessly put products away and carelessly collected them, making everything a complete mess, and then blamed the employee, saying the employee had not put things away properly. He also said that keeping one's hands behind one's back was impolite. This owner is the truly impolite one. He is from mainland China but refuses to admit it, constantly claiming to be from Hong Kong. If he does not even acknowledge his own ancestors, is that polite behavior?

During the few days I worked here, employees were genuinely not allowed to use the restroom—even when they had stomach pain. They were told to go outside instead. The storefront was extremely disorganized, with all the products piled up on the first floor. After the owner brought all the products up from the basement storage room, he would not put anything away. The store was a complete mess. One by one, everyone who came to work here was driven away by the owner himself, and the company was left with only four employees. He deserves it. This owner is impossible to work with and has a poor memory; he always blames employees for his own mistakes. Instead of focusing on how to make money, he spends all day asking who was late, how many minutes late they were, who had a bowel movement, and how long someone spent in the restroom. How can a company like this develop sustainably?

I urge everyone not to work for this company. Even the salary promised during the interview will be used as an opportunity to try to cut employees' pay. Everything is a lie. Do not go.

Pros

If not having to work overtime frequently counts as an advantage

Cons

1. The boss is exceptionally skilled at humiliating employees.

2. He lives in his own world. Even when you try to communicate with him, all he does is keep saying, “No, no, no.”

3. Every employee has to take on multiple roles, but the salary does not reflect those multiple roles.

4. He is always demanding efficiency, yet he is the least efficient person himself. He repeatedly wastes 20 minutes on something that could be said in 30 seconds.

5. A single promotional document can be revised countless times, all over trivial matters such as whether to say “special price” or “discounted price.”

6. Employees are not allowed to defecate at the company.

7. He loves asking you, 10 minutes before the end of the workday, to do something that takes an hour to complete.

8. He talks about bonuses all day long. When it is time to pay them, he keeps saying, “Just wait a little longer, just wait a little longer.” What exactly is he waiting for? ^_^?

9. Every morning, we have to waste an hour holding a useless “morning meeting,” mainly to listen to him rant.

10. When entering the company, you have to call every person by name and say good morning.

11. If you clock in at 8:59, he will stand at the door and tell you, “You were 30 seconds away from being late.” What do you think about that?

12. He keeps saying that he leads everyone, but he cannot do anything.

13. He has absolutely no respect for professional expertise.

14. He requires employees to go to bed before 11 p.m. and get up at 7 a.m.

15. When an employee was sick and had chickenpox, the “boss” still forced the employee to come to work.

16. I took marriage leave to handle wedding arrangements—with only two weeks left to prepare—and was fired as a result.

17. He loves making sarcastic and snide remarks.

18. Even during holidays, he sends messages in the WeChat group, such as, “Which colleagues have been paying attention to the group? Please reply.” If you do not reply, get ready to be humiliated on Monday.

19. He is extremely suspicious—practically to the point of having paranoid delusions.

20. He borrows money everywhere, does not pay his bills, and pays salaries late. If the 10th falls on a holiday, salaries are delayed until the next working day.

22. He loves indoctrinating people with Communist Party ideology. If you argue back, you will be yelled at, humiliated, and fired.

23. Employees receive no red envelopes for Lunar New Year or when work resumes after the holiday, but the delivery drivers who come to collect shipments do??????

24. He keeps trying to trick you into signing some kind of confidentiality agreement, but it is full of unreasonable clauses that he added himself.

25. After only two days on the job, he already starts saying that you have not generated any business. Who can generate business immediately upon joining a company? Can you generate business without even becoming familiar with the products?????

Cons

The employee turnover at this company is far higher than you could imagine. You might see a new employee today, only to find out they have been laid off the next day. Employees can be dismissed without any reason—it simply depends on whether the boss takes a liking to you. You can also hear him arguing with employees at any time, and I am not exaggerating: arguing with the store staff on the first floor, then with the people on the third floor, and not letting the fourth floor off either. He keeps making things difficult for people and arguing. Every little thing is subject to rules: you are not allowed to fold your arms, put your hands in your pockets, or put your hands behind your back. He just loves making rules about these trivial matters. Also, you are really not allowed to use the bathroom for a bowel movement. He spends all day at the company policing these things. There is no future here.

No matter what employees do, he is never satisfied. Every employee has already done things according to what he said, yet he still tells employees not to work mindlessly. He does not understand, but he still pretends to; he also will not allow anyone to correct him, and then gets angry. As soon as he catches you making even the tiniest mistake, it is over—he keeps making sarcastic remarks about you. No one in the entire company is willing to talk to him, let alone the oppressive atmosphere. It is oppressive every day.

The most frightening thing is that he insists employees eat with him, arranging something called a “company day.” That day is when he berates the employees; he scolds everyone and never himself. This boss does whatever comes to mind. He has absolutely no plan when doing things, yet tells employees that they need to plan. He drags his feet over doing one thing himself, yet tells employees to be efficient.

He most often says he wants to “lead” everyone and “guide” everyone, but he does not understand anything and cannot do anything!

Every morning, he sits at the store early to see who is late. Even being one minute late gets you lectured—if he does not lecture people, he feels uncomfortable. He requires employees to say good morning on WeChat before leaving home, and after arriving at work, to say good morning when they see their colleagues. He is always controlling meaningless things. Does saying good morning make money? Does saying good morning mean that employees have good relationships with one another? He also says that colleagues are like brothers and sisters and calls it corporate culture. He really has issues!!

A new employee had been on the job for less than a day when he started criticizing this and that—criticizing the employee for not standing properly, telling them not to fold their arms and to keep their hands relaxed at their sides. He is always making personal attacks.

The boss himself is doing some kind of health management. As soon as company day arrives, he announces that the theme for today is salad and actually forces everyone to eat salad.

Every day, his favorite thing is finding fault with employees. For example, when he sees an employee, he asks, “How are you?” without any context at all—what is that supposed to mean? Or he deliberately throws a piece of trash on the floor to see who will pick it up. If no one does, he then scolds everyone.

I heard that an employee became seriously ill with chickenpox, yet this boss still forced the employee to come to work. Chickenpox is contagious—how can he not even know this basic fact? It is frightening.

Do not go to this company—really, don’t. This kind of work environment is unhealthy, and a boss who lacks empathy is not someone you can work for. It will damage your health, and it is not worth it.

None. Absolutely none.

They are very good at pretending to be a great boss during interviews, willing to listen to everything and claiming that everything will comply with the Labor Standards Act. But once you start working at the company, the Labor Standards Act is completely ignored. The boss does whatever they want and personally manages everything, rendering all employees powerless. No one has the authority to make decisions or handle matters; everything is decided by this boss. They manage the company using their strange mainland Chinese way of thinking, so this company is full of workplace violence by the employer against employees. If you see this article, do not go to the interview—it is a waste of time. Any position is a waste of time.

How could there possibly be any pros?

Cons

During the interview, I explained my areas of expertise. However, after I actually started working, the boss didn’t care what I knew how to do. They said I had to take on multiple roles: know how to use Facebook, LINE, the platform, the official website, banking channels, postal channels, shipping, and issuing invoices. To work here, you have to be an all-rounder capable of doing ten different things. Every day, they ask how much sales you’ve generated, yet only give you a monthly advertising budget of NT$3,000–4,000. How could that possibly generate any sales? Then they interrogate you about how and where you spent the money. During meetings, they also say that they give you a monthly advertising budget of NT$100,000 to use on social media—everything is an illusion. After working there for two weeks, they suddenly told me late on Friday, just before the end of the workday, that they were going to lay me off. They even disgustingly said that they would still call me in the future if there were any work-related problems. Then the boss wanted to inspect my bag, claiming that a former employee had once taken a company silver coin when they left. What an utterly ridiculous company.

The boss loves to dream big and paint grand visions, and is also very bold when offering a salary during interviews, making you feel that he is approachable and kind.

Cons

If you get the chance to interview, remember this! From the moment you enter his office and see the boss, be sure to record everything on your phone throughout the entire time. The advantages mentioned above will be completely different once you join the company. If you unfortunately get tricked into joining, remember this! You must also record everything on your phone during any meeting with the boss or whenever the boss gives you instructions, because he will forget what he told you and then question and humiliate you, making you understand that because you receive his money, he is “raising” you, and that you should be grateful to him and the company.

This boss imposes many inhumane rules on employees—the kind that make you grit your teeth with rage when you hear them. None whatsoever. Even more shameful is that the boss himself comes on here to manipulate the reviews.

Cons

This boss does not treat employees like human beings. He always goes out of his way to make things difficult, humiliate employees, and criticize them. He is clearly the least capable person of all, yet he is always bragging about leading everyone. The most ridiculous thing was when, during a morning meeting, he bragged to the employees that the company would definitely go public the following year. To say something like that with the company’s level of revenue—you can only say that ignorance is fearless. Relying on his money, he thought he would never have trouble hiring employees. How about now? The debt must be suffocating you, right? Yet his personality is still just as overbearing and unreasonable. I have nothing more to say.

It is true that you cannot defecate at work. No matter what he says about it being for the sake of your health or that you should get into the habit of relieving yourself at home first—all that nonsense—the fact is that you simply cannot defecate in the restroom. If you are caught, just wait to be humiliated. He will even publicly mention it in front of everyone during meetings to shame you. If you cannot defecate in the restroom, are you supposed to do it on your desk?

This boss has absolutely no ability whatsoever. He cannot manage, cannot handle the business, and has no foresight. As a result, he can only nitpick over trivial matters and give employees a hard time to make himself feel good. He will always shift the blame onto employees, claiming that they do not care about the company or lack ability. Absolute power means absolute responsibility. This boss has run the company into its current state, yet he dares to shift all the responsibility onto the employees. This proves that he is not only completely incompetent but also utterly unwilling to reflect on himself. The company’s current situation was inevitable.

The accounting department manager has a very strange mentality. No one can escape her grasp. Whether they get along with her or not, they will eventually be driven out by her. Like the boss, she is also incompetent, so she is very afraid of people below her who are capable. Anyone whose abilities are better than hers will be driven out. The problem is that the only people less capable than her are the boss and another senior employee in the retail department, so everyone else has left. Just because of the boss’s favoritism, someone with this kind of personality was made the highest-ranking manager. All the good talent was forced out. This is also one of the reasons the company deserves to go under.

All the negative comments are genuine. Even the positive—and even the merely average—ones are posted by the boss himself to manipulate the reviews. I really could not stand it anymore, so I am sharing my experience of having worked for this bizarre boss at this bizarre company. Do not come here under any circumstances. This place is basically hell on earth.

The boss isn't very intelligent. All the “positive reviews” here were posted by the boss himself. It's pretty funny watching him stage and fake positive reviews. If you want a laugh, give it a try.

Cons

The “negative” reviews are all genuine. Look at the replies below—they're also from the boss himself. He has an excuse for every single criticism, even for not being allowed to defecate at the company. Ask anyone randomly on the street which company in Taiwan has its own toilet but tells employees to go outside to defecate. The funniest part is that the boss lives at the company and can defecate there himself. Is this the Communist Party controlling even people’s bowel movements in China? The boss of this company is truly outrageous.

The international brand “Chinese Gold Coins” has more than 20 general distributors in different countries and regions around the world, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau. Each country or region has only one general distributor or agent.

There are relatively few applicants with expertise in the commemorative gold and silver coins, coins, and banknotes of various countries. It seems that the company will need to invest in training full-time employees who are interested in coins.

During the interview, the company representative clearly explained that the probationary period is three months, during which both parties respect each other and make a mutual choice. If you feel the industry is not suitable for you, you may resign at any time. Likewise, if the company feels that you are not suited to this industry, you will not pass the probationary period.

Cons

Because the company strictly selects talent for the industry, those who are capable advance while those who are unproductive leave, resulting in relatively frequent staff turnover. This causes dismissed employees to become dissatisfied and leads to widespread complaints.

If you feel that the industry is not suitable for you, you may resign at any time. Likewise, if the company feels that you are not suited to the industry, you will not pass the probationary period.

Cons

Because the company strictly selects talent for the industry, capable people rise while those who are not up to the task are let go. This results in relatively frequent staff turnover, causing dismissed employees to become dissatisfied and complain bitterly.

It feels very good; the company representatives are candid and sincere.

Cons

“Ocean Gold Coins” has a corporate culture that emphasizes teamwork! During interviews, employees are asked several practical questions, and the requirements regarding politeness, etiquette, and mutual respect toward colleagues and clients are relatively strict.

The company sells official gold and silver coins of the Chinese Communist Party. Employees are required to add the boss on WeChat, which results in a bunch of WeChat groups with coworkers and the boss. Matters have to be discussed in separate groups, making you wonder how intelligent the boss really is. He posts Chinese state-propaganda news in the WeChat groups and then asks whether you have read it. Other than finding fault with employees all day, no one knows what the boss does. When his own credit card was frozen and he could not pay the company's monthly online expenses, he asked employees to pay by card for him. If you told him it was inconvenient, he would sarcastically say that none of you wanted to help the company. Last year, he even asked employees to apply for financial relief and then lend him the money. This year, he directly told every employee to go home and borrow money from their families to lend to him. Are all Chinese people like this? The company also has a bunch of strange rules: you are not allowed to defecate at the office; they say you should have finished at home before coming to work. If it is really urgent, you have to use the public restroom in the shopping street next to the office. You have to sit properly while working, and if he does not like your posture, he will scold you for being inefficient. When speaking to the boss, you must always call him by name first. If the person on duty does not empty the trash completely, he will make you stare at the trash can and apologize. He sends messages to WeChat groups on holidays and then scolds employees at work on Monday for not reading them. Tardiness is calculated by the second. Near the end of the workday, he will drag you into a meeting and waste your time. It really opened my eyes. The boss is truly an exceptionally bizarre person.

Chinese boss. At the company, he would occasionally indoctrinate employees with the idea that Taiwanese people are ultimately still Chinese. When managing employees, he treated you directly as if you were a member of the Chinese Communist population. When you joined the company, you were given a notebook and required to handwrite your work-related matters in it. You could not bring or purchase your own notebook; you had to use the one he gave you. He would periodically check what you had written in your notebook, and he also controlled how you wrote: your handwriting could not be sloppy, everything had to be written in a clearly numbered or bulleted format, and there could be no extra notes or drawings. The boss’s (pitiful Communist Party) logic was that, during the time you worked at the company, using the company-provided notebook meant writing in it according to the company’s (pitiful Communist culture) rules. When you resigned, you also had to return the notebook (as if anyone would want to keep it).

The boss hated employees taking leave on Mondays and Fridays. Whether you genuinely had something to attend to or were taking sick leave to see a doctor, even if you provided documentation and had your pay deducted, he would say it was impossible that you just happened to take leave around the weekend. He would say employees were simply too indulgent with their Saturday and Sunday holidays and therefore unable to come to work on Monday (what you do on your days off is none of your damn business).

Most bosses hope employees will not be late, but he would stand at the company reception desk and watch what time you clocked in. If you clocked in at 8:59, he would say at the reception desk that you would be late in another 20 seconds. If you clocked in at 9:00, he would say you were 20 seconds late (with the seconds determined by the time on his phone). In meetings, he would say employees had to go to bed at 10 p.m. at home, and that the first thing they had to do after waking up was check the company’s WeChat and say good morning to their colleagues (actually, to him) in WeChat. He loved suddenly posting an image or link in the company WeChat without any follow-up explanation or stated purpose. After some time, or at the meeting the next day, he would ask employees whether they had seen it. If they had not, he would say their hearts were not with the company; if they had, he would ask what they thought of it. If they had no thoughts, he would say their hearts were not with the company (apparently the Communist Party also expects people to be psychic).

Everyone usually called him Mr. Bi, and whenever you spoke to him, you had to begin by calling him Mr. Bi—and you had to add it to every sentence. You could not call him that once at the beginning and then use “you” afterward. Even when discussing something with a colleague and referring to him, you had to say “Mr. Bi” rather than “him.” If he accidentally heard you, he would scold you, asking why you could never learn. I had only ever heard elders say that you should be respectful toward deities and not refer to them as “it”; I have no idea where he got the sense of superiority that made him demand to be respectfully addressed as “Mr. Bi” in every sentence (I truly do not understand Communist culture).

He had a very bad habit: he was extremely forgetful. Something he told you today might be forgotten by tomorrow, after which he would invent something he had never mentioned and ask why you had not done it. Then he would berate and humiliate you. When he wanted to berate you over something, he would not listen to your explanation. He would endlessly repeat his insults and prevent you from speaking. Even if you tried to explain your reasons, you were not allowed to; he simply had to finish saying everything he wanted to say to berate you. Once, when a colleague was being berated and someone spoke up for them, he entered the same endless-insulting mode. In a moment of anger, the person responded, “Did you understand the Chinese we were speaking?” He exploded, saying that he also spoke Chinese and was Chinese, and asked whether that person’s grandparents and parents were not Chinese (I’m truly sorry, but they were all native-born Taiwanese). He would leave you unable to tell whether he was suffering from memory loss or dementia.

All of the above are just a few of the everyday incidents that happen at this company. No one is born to be humiliated by someone like this, especially in free Taiwan. Think carefully before joining.

Pros

No, absolutely do not risk working for this company.

Cons

During the interview, they put on a very generous front, painted grand visions, and said they would give employees plenty of room to发挥 their abilities. After joining the company, I discovered that it was all lies.

It was clearly agreed that, as a salesperson leaving my previous company, I would bring my previous company's clients to this company and help it add a new product line. I already had the client list, and these were all clients I had worked with over the long term at my previous company. When a salesperson moves to this company, it naturally takes time to notify each client. That is perfectly normal.

But the owner of this company is extremely petty and does not trust employees at all. He seems to think every employee is slacking off and making exaggerated claims. On only the third day after joining, he insisted that the new salesperson learn about every Chinese gold and silver coin product and memorize the price of each one. How could anyone memorize everything after only two or three days at the company? The agreement made during the interview—to use this salesperson's expertise to help the company add a new product line—was repeatedly obstructed by the owner. It was obstructed again and again, making it impossible to truly demonstrate one's abilities and get things done. On top of that, the company happened to be attending an exhibition in southern Taiwan, and the owner wanted the new salesperson to drive there. The new salesperson had only just bought a car, and the owner wanted to take advantage of having an employee with a new car that could conveniently carry goods. During the short exhibition, the employee transported several large boxes of gold and silver coins—far more than could possibly be sold. It is impossible to understand what he was thinking. After asking current employees, I learned that nobody wanted to go with him. That showed how much everyone disliked him; he was a complete failure as a person. I regret not checking this site before joining the company. Working there was a huge waste of time. Fortunately, I have now resigned, and coincidentally, a sales order worth NT$2.5 million came in right after I left. This company is simply not destined to make money.

During the exhibition, only one new salesperson went with the owner. When the salesperson needed to use the restroom, the owner told the employee to wait. Then the owner disappeared for one or two hours without explanation. Also, when the employee wanted to eat lunch, the owner said the employee could not eat outside and had to buy a boxed lunch and eat it at the booth. After working in the outside world for more than thirty years, this was the first time I had encountered something so absurd.

When customers came to buy things, the owner would say one thing one second and something else the next. One moment he would say, “Hurry, hurry, hurry,” and the next he would ask why the employee did not know what to do. He put products away randomly and collected them randomly, creating complete chaos, and then blamed the employees, saying they had not put things away properly. He also said that keeping one's hands behind one's back was rude. This owner is the truly rude one. A mainland Chinese person is a mainland Chinese person, yet he refuses to admit it and keeps saying he is from Hong Kong. Is refusing to acknowledge one's own ancestors a polite thing to do?

During the few days I worked there, employees were genuinely not allowed to use the restroom. Even when suffering from stomach pain, we were not allowed to go and were told to use the restroom outside instead. The store was extremely chaotic, with all the products piled up on the first floor. After bringing all the products from the basement warehouse up to the first floor, the owner would not put anything away. The store was a mess. One by one, everyone who came to work there was driven away by the owner himself. The company was left with only four employees—serves him right. You cannot work with this owner. He has a poor memory and always blames employees for his mistakes. Instead of focusing on how to make money, he spends all day asking who was late, how many minutes they were late, who defecated, and how long someone was in the restroom. How can a company like this develop in the long term?

I urge everyone not to work for this company. Even the salary promised during the interview will be used as an opportunity to ask employees to take a pay cut. Everything is fake. Stay away.

Pros

Coworkers are easy to get along with (this is based on my real experience).

Cons

The following are all things I “dreamed about”; for reference only.

1. The boss’s power to humiliate employees is off the charts.

2. He lives in his own world; if you try to communicate with him, all he does is keep saying, “No, no, no.”

3. Every employee has to take on multiple roles, but the salary does not reflect those multiple roles.

4. He is always demanding efficiency, yet the boss himself is the least efficient. Something that could be said in 30 seconds always takes 20 minutes.

5. A single promotional flyer can be revised countless times, just over trivial matters such as whether to say “special price” or “discounted price.”

6. Employees are not allowed to defecate at the company.

7. He loves asking you, 10 minutes before the end of the workday, to do something that takes an hour to complete.

8. He talks about bonuses all day long. When it is time to pay them, he keeps saying, “Please wait a little longer, please wait a little longer.” What are we waiting for? ^_^?

9. Every morning, an hour is wasted on a useless “morning meeting,” which mainly consists of listening to him rant.

10. When entering the company, you have to say everyone’s name and wish them good morning.

11. If you clock in at 8:59, he will stand at the door and say to you, “You were 30 seconds away from being late. What do you think about that?”

12. He keeps saying that he leads everyone, but he cannot do anything.

13. He has no respect for professionalism whatsoever.

14. He requires employees to go to bed before 11 p.m. and get up at 7 a.m.

15. When employees are sick, the boss still forces them to come to work.

16. An employee took marriage leave to handle wedding preparations (with only two weeks left to prepare) and was then laid off.

17. He really likes making personal attacks.

18. Even during holidays, he sends messages in the WeChat group, such as, “Which colleagues are monitoring the group? Please reply.” If you do not reply, prepare to be humiliated on Monday.

19. He is extremely suspicious—nearly to the point of having paranoid delusions.

20. He borrows money everywhere, does not pay bills, and pays salaries late.

21. He is from mainland China, yet he always pretends to be from Hong Kong. (He even applied to immigrate to Taiwan and was approved! Oh my God!!!)

22. He loves indoctrinating people with Communist Party ideology. If you argue back, you will be yelled at, humiliated, and fired.

23. Employees do not receive red envelopes for Lunar New Year or upon returning to work after the holiday, but the delivery drivers who come to collect shipments do??????

24. He keeps trying to trick you into signing some kind of confidentiality agreement, but it is full of unreasonable clauses that he added himself.

25. After you have been there for only two days, he starts saying that you have not generated any business. Who can generate results immediately upon joining a company? Can you generate results without even becoming familiar with the products?????

Pros

None. How could there possibly be any?

Cons

Every morning, we have to attend a morning meeting. This is when he gets to “instruct” the employees. What was originally a 15-minute meeting became 30 minutes, and then turned into a one-hour personal show. Everyone had to stand on the first floor for an hour, listening to him attack every employee. The morning meeting was not about discussing what needed to be done that day, but about invading people’s private lives: criticizing employees for walking slowly or speaking slowly; saying that no one could address him directly and that they had to call colleagues by name; requiring everyone to sit up straight; allowing everyone to listen only to the music he prescribed. Unimaginable personal attacks all happened in this company.

The thing he is best at is pretending to understand things he does not understand. Every day, he has to say that he is leading and instructing everyone. He cannot distinguish right from wrong: the boss is allowed to make mistakes, but employees are not; when the boss makes a mistake, it is the employee’s fault. Whenever an employee comes up with a great idea, the boss rejects it outright. A few days later, the boss will bring up the idea the employee came up with, then say that he thought of it himself and tell everyone to implement it. After that, the boss convinces himself all over again that everything was his idea, that he is leading and instructing everyone, and that everyone must keep up with the boss’s “forward” progress. The most frightening thing is that many proposals require the boss’s review, but this boss always drags things out until after work, holding everyone up while changing one thing here and another there. After employees get home, he still does not let them off the hook—especially during consecutive holidays, including the Lunar New Year period. He continues to control things remotely via WeChat, changing one thing here and another there. If an employee does not respond, the next workday is a nightmare: they get relentlessly berated, and then they are dismissed. Employees being dismissed is a frequent occurrence.

He really likes asking employees to do things after work. He really, truly loves calling employees after hours; no one can escape. He even proudly says that so-and-so was still making a PowerPoint for him at midnight. One employee had already fallen asleep on the desk during lunch break, yet he shook the person awake to help him with work. In the end, that employee ran away. There are many job openings now, but no one can stay for long. There is no need to continue wasting time and energy on someone so unreasonable. To anyone still looking for a job: please think carefully and don’t fall into this pit of fire!!!

The boss is Chinese. The company’s working hours are 09:00–18:00, but he expects you to send a “good morning” message in the group chat every morning before clocking in. He wants you to do this as soon as you wake up; otherwise, he says you don’t have the company in your heart.

In the morning, he waits at the downstairs reception desk for employees to arrive, watching what time they clock in. However, he goes by the time on his phone. Even if you clock in at 09:00, he still says you are 20 seconds late; even if you arrive at 08:59, he still says you were only a few seconds away from being late. He then requires every colleague who has clocked in and entered work each morning to greet one another with a smile. Each person has to walk up to the boss and coworkers and say “good morning” energetically, using the other person’s name. If you don’t, he says you don’t have the company in your heart.

If you’re lucky, you can go to your seat and prepare for work. If you’re unlucky, he will keep you at the doorway to humiliate you for a while. It is usually about things like: “Why didn’t you check whether the store display was turned on when you came in to help look after the store? Your level of professionalism is inadequate!” or “Why didn’t you say anything when you were going upstairs? That’s very impolite!” These issues have absolutely nothing to do with your actual duties or the day’s priorities. He then asks whether you have the company in your heart.

Next comes the 09:30 morning meeting. The scheduled agenda is roughly “reporting each person’s work priorities for the day, discussing ways to improve sales performance, and matters such as mutual assistance and interaction among the team’s departments.” In reality, everyone first listens to him complain about sales, followed by him explaining how he will lead everyone in improving sales precisely. If you’re lucky, he may talk for 10 minutes; if you’re unlucky, you’ll listen to him for an hour. Regardless of the duration, most of it has nothing to do with your work that day. Then everyone reports their respective priorities for the day, after which he takes a dig at each person. If you’re lucky, he may lecture you once or twice; if you’re unlucky, he will keep mentioning you throughout the meeting, mocking you as unprofessional and saying you don’t have the company in your heart. He loves saying that everyone should have positive energy and not constantly complain or spread negative energy. In reality, he is the source of all the negativity in the company. He also likes to say that the morning meeting is for communication among all departments and that colleagues should help one another, but then emphasizes that no one is allowed to create a company group without him, leaving everyone baffled. After the meeting, you are guaranteed to face the day’s work carrying a full load of negative energy.

Employees are not allowed to eat breakfast at the company during working hours. From time to time, he asks everyone in the morning meeting whether they have eaten breakfast that day, saying that those who have already eaten are fine, while reminding those who have not that breakfast cannot be eaten at the company. If you speak or reply too quietly, he says you lack energy, then asks what time you went to bed the previous day and requires you to go to bed before 11:00 p.m. and get up at 7:00 a.m. every day. Even office staff have to sit up straight while working; you cannot put your hands in your pockets, stand with your hands on your hips, chew gum, and so on—various bizarre Chinese regulations. You are also not allowed to have a bowel movement at the company. After a former employee disclosed this online, the boss still did not think there was anything wrong with it, saying that, for the sake of employees’ health, it was perfectly reasonable to require them to use the bathroom at home before leaving for work. The entire workday is spent listening to him talk about matters completely unrelated to your work. Regarding work-related matters, he finds all sorts of absurd reasons to scold you for being unprofessional. If you explain or try to discuss things with him, he says, “Don’t give me a bunch of excuses,” and continues saying that you are unprofessional. If you respect him by asking for his opinion before doing something, he says the company hired you to make proposals and let him know about them, then says again that you are truly unprofessional. In the end, he still says that you don’t have the company in your heart.

He loves calling everyone into a meeting 20–30 minutes before the end of the workday. It is the same routine as in the morning and usually delays your departure by 5–20 minutes. Most of the topics are not urgent. Afterward, he adds something about leading everyone and everyone needing to have the company in their hearts. The next morning’s meeting then repeats what was discussed in the meeting before closing time the previous day. When it is time to leave, he requires you to say goodbye to your coworkers, but in reality, he only cares whether you tell him you are leaving and say goodbye to him.

If you feel you have a wonderful life ahead of you and are absolutely confident in your abilities, this company will completely overturn your view of Chinese people. If you want to fully develop your talents in a particular field, you would have to be foolish to join this company.

Cons

The employee turnover at this company is far higher than you can imagine. You see a new employee today, and they may be dismissed the next day. Employees can be dismissed without any reason—it simply depends on whether the boss takes a liking to you. You can also hear him arguing with employees at any time, seriously, it is not an exaggeration: arguing with the retail staff on the first floor, then with the people on the third floor, and not even sparing the fourth floor, continuing to make things difficult for them and argue. Everything is subject to rules: you are not allowed to fold your arms, put your hands in your pockets, or put your hands behind your back. He just loves making rules about these trivial matters. Also, you are really not allowed to defecate. He spends all day at the company policing these things. There is no future here.

No matter what employees do, he is never satisfied. Every employee has already done things exactly as he instructed, yet he still tells them not to work blindly. He does not understand things himself but pretends to, and he does not allow others to correct him; then he gets angry. As soon as he catches you making the tiniest mistake, it is over—he keeps making sarcastic remarks about you. No one in the entire company is willing to talk to him, let alone the oppressive atmosphere. It is oppressive every day.

The most frightening thing is that he insists employees eat with him, organizing some kind of Company Day. That day is simply when he berates the employees. He scolds everyone and never himself. This boss does whatever comes to mind; he has absolutely no plan when doing things, yet he tells employees to plan. He takes ages to do one thing himself, yet tells employees to be efficient.

He most often says that he wants to “lead” everyone and “guide” everyone, but he does not understand anything or know how to do anything!

Every morning, he sits at the retail store early to see who is late. Being one minute late is enough to earn a lecture. He seems unable to feel comfortable without lecturing people. He requires employees to say “good morning” on WeChat before leaving home, and after arriving at work, they must also say “good morning” when they see their colleagues. He is always policing meaningless things. Does saying good morning make you money? Does saying good morning mean that employees have good relationships with one another? He even says that colleagues are brothers and sisters and calls it corporate culture. He is seriously unbelievable!!

A new employee had not even been on the job for a day before being criticized for this and that—criticized for not standing properly, for folding their arms, and told to keep their hands naturally at their sides. He is constantly making personal attacks.

The boss is doing some kind of health management himself. When Company Day arrived, he announced that the theme that day was salad and actually forced everyone to eat salad.

His favorite thing to do every day is to find trouble with employees. For example, when he sees an employee, he asks, “How are you?” with absolutely no context—what does he mean, “how are you”? Or he deliberately throws a piece of trash on the floor to see who will pick it up. If no one does, he then criticizes everyone.

I heard that an employee became seriously ill with chickenpox, but this boss still forced the employee to come to work. Chickenpox is contagious—how could he not even know this basic fact? It is terrifying.

Do not go to this company under any circumstances—seriously, do not go. This kind of work environment is unhealthy, and a boss without empathy is not someone you can work with. It will damage your health, and it is not worth it.

The monthly salary is slightly higher than at most companies, but sometimes salaries are paid late. However, there is basically no year-end bonus and almost no holiday bonuses. Even when there are any, they are pitifully small…

The boss will ask why you haven’t finished something yet. After you honestly explain the reason, he’ll reply, “That’s not an excuse!” Then he’ll repeatedly ask you N times why it isn’t finished, until you answer, “It’s due to insufficient personal ability and efficiency,” before this endless vicious cycle can finally end—satisfying his pleasure in humiliating people!

As for the other shortcomings, as mentioned in the previous review, there are too many to count…

Within just a few days of joining, I was shocked by the boss’s power to humiliate employees.

Whatever he thinks is how he sees things.

He neither provides evidence nor reasons logically.

I’ve never encountered anyone like this before.

If he thinks you’re a certain way, then that’s what you are.

Incredibly powerful.

Really incredibly powerful.

If he’s unhappy, he picks an unfortunate person and relentlessly gives them a hard time.

He blames you for everything, regardless of whether the work falls within your responsibilities.

No wonder the turnover rate is so high.

All my colleagues are very nice. Perhaps it’s because the boss’s mouth is really awful, so everyone comforts one another and has even formed close bonds through all that comforting.

Cons

1. You are not allowed to defecate at the company. This is real.

2. The boss is very foul-mouthed and cannot communicate properly. He only speaks sarcastically and uses humiliation; he is extremely classless. He cannot understand things himself, yet blames others for not explaining clearly.

3. Saying that you have poor abilities, a low level, and that he is supposedly guiding you is an everyday occurrence. You have to be able to tolerate him humiliating people as soon as he opens his mouth.

4. He does not care about ability; he only wants you to treat him like an emperor. Please agree with him like a dog.

After working in Taiwan and mainland China for twenty or thirty years, this is the first time I’ve encountered a boss like this. Everyone really needs to think carefully. Don’t assume that just because the salary is fairly good, everything will be fine.................

The boss requires employees to have lunch with him twice a month, constantly calling it an employee benefit. He even asks HR to print out a notice and post it at the entrance to the company’s storefront. HR came from a large company. Employees have to spend their own break time accompanying the boss to eat. It should be Employee Day, but the boss insists on calling it Company Day. How could it be Employee Day? He keeps saying it’s an employee benefit. During the meal, he also tells everyone that the company is constantly losing money. It’s impossible to smile. Whenever the boss opens his mouth, none of the employees says anything, and the atmosphere becomes very strange. Also, if the company is constantly losing money, why does it keep hiring people?

The boss never says things directly and always makes sarcastic remarks. How would someone who just joined the company know that there are cleaning rules? But the boss never states them directly. The boss gives instructions through sarcasm, which makes working at the company extremely exhausting. You never know when you might do something that displeases him. Life there is really difficult.

Even buying the lunches everyone likes to eat for Employee Day gets criticized, criticized, criticized. Does that mean buying the fried chicken the boss likes would be the right thing to do? But the employees don’t want to eat fried chicken anymore.

He always likes to assign tasks at quitting time. Even when it’s already nearly 6 p.m. and time to get off work, he insists that HR call applicants and tell them to come to work. Then, a few days later, when he finds an applicant he likes, he makes HR call the person who had previously agreed to come and tell them not to come to work after all. This kind of repeated inconsistency shows a lack of credibility and makes it impossible to get work done.

After joining this company, I went online and read the reviews. I really regret not checking them first. It was truly a waste of time. However, the accounting clerk is very kind and helpful, and the other colleagues are also very nice. This aspect is different from what I described above.

Really, really, really: when looking for a job, find one where you can work long term. Working for only a few days is a waste of time.

I absolutely didn’t expect this. The atmosphere here is depressing every day. Do not come here under any circumstances.

Cons

1. The boss’s greatest pleasure is making things difficult for employees, and employees are not allowed to defecate at the company. He seems to run the business like a child’s make-believe game, caring only about trivial matters—such as sending messages in the group chat demanding that people use specific punctuation—and constantly changing working hours. It is said that the company is several hundred million in debt and could go bankrupt at any time.

2. The HR and accounting manager is a textbook two-faced person. This company has an extremely high turnover rate; you could say that at least 60% of employees leave because of her. Her emotional intelligence is also extremely poor. When she gets along with you, she tells you all the company’s secrets; if you inadvertently offend her, prepare to endure her hostile looks. When she is angry, her expression could scare anyone to death, and then she starts making things difficult for you. Under no circumstances should you apply for the accounting assistant position—the most people die in this role.

3. There is an older female employee in the first-floor store who constantly flaunts her seniority. She makes new employees do all her work while she spends her days browsing the internet and taking care of cats. Her attitude and tone are also extraordinarily terrible. Because the boss supports her, she probably thinks she is the boss’s wife.

4. Don’t be tempted by the salary offered by this company. This company has none of the benefits you can think of. You even have to request annual leave two months in advance, and you are required to take it all at once. This company offers zero prospects for development. What they tell you during the interview will all change later, and many unrelated tasks will be dumped on you. Being made a scapegoat is also unavoidable.

Conclusion: Under no circumstances should you go to this company. It is a waste of your life. Because of this toxic triangle, the turnover rate is extremely high, and hardly any normal person can put up with it.

Cons

1. Can't go to the bathroom?! (Don't ask~ because you'll… roll your eyes)

2. Non-professional guidance/criticizing professionals: Providing ABCD options for the whole company to vote on and criticize… One person changes one sentence until it becomes a四不像; if everyone chooses B/C, they then choose A separately, then ask you to change it to E, and finally redo F/G…

3. Collective standing meetings (long): Everyone is required to speak, but their comments are almost never adopted because the company currently lacks the ability to implement them.

4. A company selling specialty products has no onboarding training for new employees. New hires are deliberately quizzed, and if they cannot answer, they are immediately mocked for having no knowledge or ability.

5. Everyone in the company has to “sell,” whether you are a retail employee or a back-office employee.

6. Retail employees have money deducted for failing to meet sales targets (that I can understand); but~ back-office employees are encouraged to “report complaints” against one another, and the person being reported has money deducted (First time I've heard of a game like this = =)

Heh... Does this company have any advantages?!

Cons

During the interview, the HR manager verbally said the salary would be 40K, with a 35K salary during the first three-month probationary period.

However, even after passing the probationary period, no adjustment was made. When I asked HR, the response was: “That never happened. Everyone in the company has the same probationary salary. After passing the probationary period, any salary adjustment must be submitted to the boss, who will decide whether to “increase the salary” based on performance during the probationary period.”

They took advantage of the fact that the contract only stated the “probationary salary” and did not specify the regular salary, then directly went back on their word and deceived workers. Although I later found that many cases involved companies playing this kind of “you have no evidence” game, and when it happens, you can only blame yourself for not carefully and seriously reviewing and negotiating the contract, I at least hope this can serve as a reminder for anyone considering Dayang Gold Coin.

The advantage is that when the emperor is away, the servants can do whatever they want; no one manages them and no one cares.

Cons

The disadvantage is that when the emperor arrives, the servants must be prepared to face harassment, questioning, and blame at any time. If you cannot answer or cannot take it, please get ready to pack your bags and leave!

A company where more than half of its employees can leave within just six months is just so wonderfully amazing! Oh~ right! The emperor does not like employees using the restroom at the company, especially to have a bowel movement, so those with poor digestion had better be able to hold it!

With an emperor, of course there must also be a grand eunuch, the “Nine-Thousand-Year-Old” one! Anyone who wants to become an official in the Dayang Dynasty, be sure not to offend her—or trust her—or you will not even know how you died.

Reminders:

1. Any salary or benefits promised to you before you joined—if they are not written down in black and white, just assume they do not exist. Going back on promises and pretending not to understand is truly a professional skill here!

2. If you have expertise and your own ideas, I advise you to think twice! No expertise is respected here. Only the emperor is an expert and only the emperor is right; anyone whose ideas differ from the emperor’s is a damned heretic!

3. Do not think of this as a challenge and waste your life here. This is a pit—a pit that says everything nice to trick you into coming in, then looks for ways to kill you.

There probably aren't any; you only get along well with yourself and colleagues in your own department, I suppose~ The departments aren't large, but each operates independently.

Cons

The company could actually make great use of its professional talent and have the opportunity to flourish.

But the person in charge is the key factor—in other words, the boss.

(1) They tell you A, then discuss B with you, and finally insist that you do C,

and then ask why D wasn't done well.

(2) Extremely fickle, extremely fickle, extremely fickle—because it's important.

(3) They give you a wooden stick and then expect you to go fight a tiger.

It's still much better than giving you a straw and asking you to fight a dinosaur.

I actually regretted it very much after joining. If I had properly looked at the information from senior colleagues here before joining, I wouldn't have wasted so much time trying. Everything the previous senior colleagues said was true.

A company where 11 people can leave in six months—think carefully before joining.

Q: What kind of people are suitable?

(A) People with plenty of time who aren't afraid of wasting it.

(B) People who can accept being instructed to keep [going in the wrong direction].

(C) This place doesn't require strong stress tolerance; all it requires is subservience.

(D) People who can accept decisions being changed over and over (P.S. It won't be limited to just 3–4 times).

When Boss Bi is away, everyone has more freedom and can relax, making it easier to get their own work done smoothly.

Cons

The boss is indecisive and often changes his mind. His own products are made in mainland China, and when they fail to sell, he blames the sales staff. Since sales employees do not stay long, he asks back-office employees to take on sales roles. Sometimes employees are also required to accompany the boss to social and business engagements. Then, after making a bunch of promises about contracts outside the company, he asks employees to come out and take the blame. He collects payment from customers before doing business, then delays delivering the products and uses the money for other things. He frequently flies back and forth between China and Taiwan, and has his own dedicated SUV and driver in Taiwan, going around bragging to media executives about how influential he is in China. Yet some media outlets in Taiwan actually believe him!! Pro-unification media outlets are still completely convinced.... Taiwan really has been harmed by having pro-unification media outlets!! It is truly pathetic...

More than 80% of the company’s employees have less than one year of tenure, so you can chat about company gossip together.

Cons

The boss is from mainland China, and it feels like employees would not receive a share of the profits even if the company made money. Technical employees do not stay at this company for long because the boss assigns technical staff to sales roles and has nontechnical salespeople direct professional technical employees. In addition, senior employees (sales staff) say they have not received year-end bonuses or attended a year-end banquet for a long time (apparently, these only happened during the company’s first year). Usually, if a new employee joins this company in a role other than sales, they do not stay for more than three months. Even if you have exceptional abilities, after the three-month probationary period, you will be told that you are unsuitable for the position and asked to leave. As a result, the company is constantly cycling through new hires. Anyone considering joining this company should think carefully.

The only thing I am curious about is how this company can violate so many provisions of the Labor Standards Act without ever being inspected by the labor authorities, and how it can sell precious metals from one hand to another without being investigated. That is what this company is truly good at.
