I was invited to interview. At the beginning, they said they thought my qualifications were a great fit, but at the end they said, “You might not understand it very well—go home and read more books.” WTF

Xiantaopai is a century-old brand. The interviewer was friendly and explained the job responsibilities, company policies, and corporate philosophy very clearly, which was different from my previous impression.

Xiantaopai aims to build a century-old brand that is international and youthful, while providing people with ideals and goals an internal entrepreneurship platform. This interview opened up different ideas for my life and is worth choosing!

Cons

It would be even better to strengthen the brand CIS!

Situation: I was notified of the interview at the last minute on the same day, so I hurriedly prepared my documents.

When I arrived, because I had seen the reviews here, I wrote my résumé very conservatively.

I thought I could get to know the company better during the self-introduction before judging whether it was good or bad.

The receptionist, an HR representative, was very kind and professional. However, after I finished filling out the forms, HR asked me to begin my self-introduction.

In my past experience, interviews were always started directly by a supervisor,

and the person who called to arrange the meeting at short notice was also a male supervisor.

As a result, I thought I was being treated differently because of the information on my résumé, and I started to feel that this company was not worth interviewing with.

I felt it would be a waste of both our time, so I approached the interview with the mindset of giving up on this company.

Later, after asking others about their experiences, I learned that having HR conduct the self-introduction is a normal process at some companies...

I just want to say SORRY—being HR is really difficult.

Conclusion: HR was very professional. Thank you to her.

Cons

Since I did not meet the boss, I cannot comment, but HR's attitude was highly professional.

Pros

The office workstations are spacious, and someone cleans every week. That's it!

Cons

*The carpet is old, with many stains and large areas showing watermarks. Yet this is the environment at a publicly listed company—one can only shake one's head.

*There are fewer than 10 employees, most of whom have been there for less than a year. New colleagues mysteriously disappear within a month, and there have been countless such cases.

*If you want to stay for a long time, please consider carefully. I do not recommend wasting your time, because losing someone within a month is the norm. Staying for more than a month is merely a slow waste of life.

*Take good care of yourself so that you can live a精彩 life.

Pros

The colleagues are kind and friendly, the pay is good, and the environment is clean and bright.

Cons

The duties and responsibilities of the position were changed and reassigned arbitrarily, which was confusing. The colleague who was assigned to take over the work was also not experienced in this role or project.

But I thought, forget it—I would still follow my manager’s instructions and hand over the work to my colleague.

As the days went by, I increasingly felt that something was wrong. According to the product schedule, the preparatory work should have been completed as soon as possible, but my manager insisted on using OGSM and fishbone diagrams for precise analysis before proceeding with the planning.

In the end, I prepared multiple OGSMs, fishbone diagrams, and proposals for my manager. During this period, my manager acknowledged that I had written the OGSM correctly and asked me to continue revising it. After I submitted the revised version, I did not expect my manager to overturn the version they had said was correct the previous day.

Moreover, when I submitted the OGSM, fishbone diagrams, and reports, my manager would not ask me to personally present or explain the content.

Almost every time, they would simply ask an assistant to relay that the entire submission was wrong. When I asked the assistant, “Did the manager specifically mention what was wrong?” the assistant could only speculate based on what they had overheard, saying that perhaps certain parts were wrong and needed improvement. After hearing this, I was usually left confused: What exactly did the manager think was wrong?

Furthermore, important planning materials need to be presented and discussed in person; you cannot understand everything simply by reading the text. You also need to understand the company’s future direction in order to develop the right strategic plans. Why would my manager not let me explain the work, and instead merely ask an assistant to pass on one sentence saying that everything submitted was wrong? It was very frustrating.

This situation happened many times. However, in my more than ten years of work experience, I had never encountered a manager like this. In meetings, I also asked for guidance about what was wrong and what needed to be improved.

The answers I received were extremely vague. In the end, my manager would repeatedly just say that it was wrong, without giving me an opportunity to explain or clarify. This left me feeling frustrated and wronged.

Although I had meetings with my manager every morning, my impression was that the manager only communicated their ideas unilaterally, along with saying that I was wrong and needed to improve.

At the time, I maintained a humble attitude and reflected on whether I might not yet understand my manager’s expectations or the company culture. I worked extremely hard every day and even tried to align myself with my manager, but despite my efforts, I genuinely did not know where the problem was. I asked, but could not get an answer.

Then, one day during the morning meeting, my manager praised me in front of everyone for excelling in a particular area and said they would assign me a new project. My existing project would be handed over to someone else. That afternoon, I seriously handed over the current project and began planning the new one and contacting the relevant people. I wanted to perform well—after all, my manager had just acknowledged my professional abilities that morning.

At 6 p.m. that evening, I was called to an interview with my manager’s assistant. I was laid off.

I did not know what I had done wrong. It was frustrating, but it was not the assistant’s fault, and getting angry at them would not help. I simply packed up my things.

I did not even need to prepare a handover checklist.

All I can say is that this company did not put me through a PIP, nor did it clearly tell me what I needed to improve. In meetings, my manager would even smile and praise me, but afterward would ask an assistant to relay that the work I submitted was wrong, without explaining the specific errors or areas for improvement.

I am not young, and I have sufficient emotional resilience. I hoped for open, two-way communication at work. After all, there are not many employees or managers in the company, so for the good of the company and its work, shouldn’t we communicate properly and work together for the benefit of the product? You make money, I make money, and everyone is happy—isn’t that better?

Even if my manager thought I was not suitable for the role, that would have been fine. They could have directly told me that I was being laid off. But where was the respect?

That morning, my manager praised my abilities and assigned me a new project, leading me to naively spend the afternoon contacting people and launching the new project, when in fact they had already decided to terminate me.

The company could simply have told me in the morning or at noon, “We’re sorry, but today is your last day,”

instead of waiting until 6 p.m. to tell me.

All I can say is, Xiantao, you hurt me deeply and showed me very little respect.

I did not know how to write an OGSM, but I studied seriously. In the end, my manager even said that I had written it well, although they later suddenly said it was not good.

My fishbone diagram was written in a completely logical way. My manager was entitled to have opinions, but instead of letting me present it, they simply said it was wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong.

I am not going to tell you, whoever is reading this, not to join this company.

But I can only say that the manager has very strong personal judgments, or perhaps is quick to label people. They do not need your explanations or a two-way discussion.

They do not need to put you through a PIP.

They will subjectively decide whether you are suitable, and they make that decision very quickly—within a month.

If you happen to be a good fit with this manager, this may be a good company, because the colleagues are genuinely quite nice, the environment is clean and bright, and the product also seems promising. If you are not a good fit, you may end up like me, naively going through all of this.

They spend all day making big claims, and if you offer an opinion, you’ll get dirty looks. Everyone thinks highly of themselves. Try talking to them about logic, and if they don’t understand, they’ll say there’s something wrong with you.

Remember to observe workplace etiquette. Even if someone is younger than you but holds a higher position, remember to greet them when you enter. In the morning, say good morning; at noon, ask whether they’ve eaten; and in the evening, casually ask whether they might be hungry.

If you’re thinking of working here, remember to get a phone or recording device with plenty of storage, so that later they can’t deny what they said and completely shirk responsibility.

You can get by very well if you have the skill of flattering people.

Cons

The chairman is a despicable human being who can only throw his weight around in his own tiny little company, because he has nowhere else to go outside the company. Who would believe his nonsense except someone without wisdom? He knowingly breaks the law and will face the consequences.

The useless associate manager can do nothing except flatter people. At this age, all he can do is muddle through without distinguishing right from wrong. Whatever the chairman says is right. He can't find another job—how pitiful.

There are also one or two sycophants who think they're impressive, but the chairman will fire you without reason the next second if he takes a dislike to you~

An absolutely terrible company—do not come here and waste your life!!!

Pros

The colleagues are nice.

Cons

The company’s biggest source of internal friction is the chairman, who apparently has no friends or family. He issues orders at the company all day, seemingly thinking this will enhance his authority. He pretends to understand things he does not, disrespects professional expertise, and acts as though he is the only expert. His constant changes to directives are well known. Whenever he makes a mistake in an order, he starts looking for scapegoats to take the blame. When employees begin to feel that something is wrong and no longer support him, he invents baseless accusations to pin on them, illegally dismisses them, and tries to avoid paying the severance they are owed. As a result, employees keep coming and going. Whenever someone displeases him, he starts reshuffling and firing people, making it impossible to work properly. When something goes wrong, hide as quickly as possible. How did someone so irresponsible become chairman? Having nothing but money is pitiful. Despite being so old, he does not even understand basic social etiquette, makes enemies everywhere, and is also very afraid of others saying bad things about him. The employees who manage to stay are simply mindless flatterers. I strongly advise you not to come here!‏

Can you suddenly get assigned a lot of strange tasks?! Fortunately, some colleagues are quite friendly, and there are people willing to teach you when you don’t understand something.

Cons

A very strange work atmosphere. Shortly after starting the job, I was constantly made to listen to the boss recount the company’s glorious history while repeatedly disparaging former employees. But after learning more, I discovered that even the longest-serving current employee had been there for no more than two years. One moment, the boss would talk about how capable people who had not yet joined the company were; the next, they would change tack and say how terrible the current employees were. But if the former employees were all so bad, how could there have been a glorious history? It really made the boss seem incoherent and inconsistent. Meetings often consisted of a group of people listening to the boss present flawed logic, yet no one would point it out—it was almost like listening to a cult leader, with everyone acting as though it all made perfect sense.

The boss likes to pretend to know things he doesn’t understand. Every day, you only need to say things he can’t understand, let him go direct other people to do the work, occasionally listen to him berate colleagues and brag about how great the products are, and pretend to be busy and stay a little later at your desk so you won’t be singled out.

Cons

This is truly a place full of lies. The position advertised and the actual job duties are completely different. I repeatedly asked about this during the interview, and they said all the necessary hardware and equipment was available. When I started, what I saw was genuinely shocking. When I requested that more equipment be purchased, they simply told me to do something else. After a month, I still haven’t done the work I originally applied for—only endlessly revising the same design materials. I also have to keep pretending to attend meetings with a group of people who don’t understand anything. Whenever it is actually time to ask for opinions or discuss something, they all reveal themselves and play dumb. Unfortunately, the person leading the group happens to be the most problematic and least intelligent of them all. They constantly bad-mouth colleagues and sow discord, while not even knowing what they themselves are directing. It really is just as the previous person said: Don’t close the job-search website; if you can get away, leave as quickly as possible.

Pros

There are very few people in the company; it feels empty.

Cons

During the interview, applicants are required to write out the specific duties and details of every job they have held. Throughout the interview, the details of each work experience are questioned in great depth. In the end, they may even ask HR to call the HR department or supervisor at a former workplace to verify whether the information is accurate, and they also require proof of salary.

This company has many ideals, but it is extremely unclear about its direction and positioning, so it keeps changing its ideas. However, it ultimately does not make actual decisions or take concrete action. Most colleagues have prior work experience, but employees may be dismissed without warning at any time within a month. Staff turnover is very high, and the company cannot even fully staff its basic departments. 104 is busy recruiting every day, and employees are also quickly dismissed within a short period. New colleagues are not introduced when they start; the company deliberately keeps employees from knowing one another. Under the Labor Bureau’s regulations, employers do not need to give advance notice when dismissing someone who has worked for less than three months, so they often suddenly inform you of the dismissal before the end of the workday. Job seekers should think twice. Don’t waste your time. The several positive reviews below are obviously deliberately posted to whitewash the company.

The company is located in an office building in Xindian. The overall office environment is bright, clean, and spacious, and the HR staff member responsible for reception was very friendly and patient. After arriving, you need to spend some time filling out the standard forms required for the company interview. The interviewer then asks about problems you encountered in your previous workplaces and does not try to make things difficult. The interview process was quite pleasant.

Cons

The company is a little far from the MRT station, so it is recommended to go by scooter.

The company is undergoing a transformation, becoming more international and youthful while shedding many outdated ways of thinking. It nurtures the development of younger employees and gives them the freedom to unleash their creativity. As long as a proposal is logical and its elements can be properly connected, the company provides the resources to put it into action. It is an established brand venturing into new business areas, with considerable room for development and strong future potential.

When you first join, there may be about a month-long honeymoon period during which “he” will acknowledge your professionalism.

Cons

After a month, things are different. The leader does not know the company’s direction, lacks expertise in the field, and is unclear about the market positioning. All day in meetings, he talks about stories from his past work as an agent.

Because he also lacks expertise in the new business area but cannot let go of his leadership posture, he has no ability to learn from others. He hired professional managers but refused to let them take charge, leaving the departments below completely directionless. The entire company is as scattered as sand. As it enters its second year of operation, performance remains dismal, not to mention whether employees receive profit sharing.

Moreover, I have never seen a direct-selling business hold meetings every day and control employees with rigid, formulaic rules—going so far as to violate labor laws. OPP overtime, event overtime, and business-trip expenses are either not paid or are delayed. Even compensatory leave cannot be applied for and used until one full month after it is granted, because everything is treated as a responsibility-based system.

In meetings, he wants Plan A today, uses Approach B tomorrow, and changes to Plan C the day after. On top of that, he believes that any proposal requiring money is unnecessary, including marketing, business presentations, and product experiences, among others. As a result, payments owed to vendors or expenses advanced by employees are left unpaid or delayed. It is advisable that all proposals submitted require no money, and that the company simply makes do with its existing equipment.

Do not come in with an overly grand vision. After the honeymoon period, regardless of rank or professional field, everyone is treated the same in his eyes—as members of a traditional circus. With one statement that you are unprofessional, have the wrong way of thinking, or have no ideas, he directly overturns everything you have done, because he believes that he is the one who taught everyone how to do it, not you.

The most frightening thing is the boss’s behavior of deliberately fostering resentment. He asks A to attend a one-on-one meeting, but uses it to talk about what is wrong with B. If he does not like B, he should simply ask B to leave the company; there is no need to engage in this kind of workplace bullying.

Only after joining do you understand what it means to grow old with nothing but talk: trading on seniority and being unable to keep up with the times. Every day, he remains alone in his own world, unable to accept new changes. He talks about a huge pie, but delivers not even crumbs. Day after day, he returns to square one.

The HR representative who greeted me was very friendly.

Cons

I sincerely ask job seekers to think twice. The interview process took quite a long time; after I finished filling out the information and reading the company introduction, I had to wait an extremely long time before finally meeting the interviewer.

What was even more outrageous was that after the interview, without informing me at all, the owner took it upon themselves to call a company I had left long ago (and not the reference person or phone number I provided when filling out the interview information). They made numerous calls to my former company looking for my former supervisor. My former supervisor was repeatedly away from their desk, so they even asked other department employees to pass on the message, causing the entire company to find out.

This was extremely disrespectful!

The environment is fairly decent, with licensed software available and dedicated cleaning staff. You can try negotiating for a higher salary; if you get bored, treating it as an opportunity to experience a fantastical life can be quite interesting.

Cons

The turnover is high, and colleagues disappear at any time. During my one and a half months there, I witnessed more than 15 colleagues resign, including some who stayed for only a week or even a single day. Because the turnover is so high, departments are unable to collaborate effectively. You may suddenly have to take over another department’s work, or the previous employee may have left too hastily to provide a complete handover, making subsequent tasks difficult and leaving no one to ask.

Also, every matter, no matter how big or small, has to be reported to the chairman. The design and marketing departments basically have no room to exercise their creativity. The chairman really likes sending voice messages, but their content is vague and mostly consists of repeatedly saying pointless things. You have to spend a lot of time deciphering what he actually means, which is truly exhausting. Even after finally understanding his intentions and completing the work, don’t get too happy—he may change his mind the next day and make you redo everything. The project will never be completed ^^

On top of that, everyone has to choose a nickname containing the character “Tao” (“桃”), which is genuinely inexplicable.

The work mainly involves cross-industry collaborations for events and also requires generating sales. Since Xiantao Brand is in a transformation phase, many challenges arise at work, including the fact that many people have never heard of the brand and do not really understand the benefits the products can bring them. Although I have encountered quite a few setbacks, I also hope that coordinating events can increase Xiantao Brand’s visibility and consequently generate sales. I find the most challenging part is analyzing the data, effectiveness, and results of each event, then observing and understanding them in order to make improvements. Organizing the information takes a lot of time, but I have also learned quite a lot from it.

Upon joining the company, you immediately receive training in the company culture and products, allowing you to understand how much the company values its product philosophy and R&D. Although this often means facing constant changes, you can learn a lot from the experience.

I have always worked in telemarketing-related roles, but my previous company did not provide any training at all. We were sent straight into battle, making calls and haggling over prices. It was purely price-based selling, and the products did not involve much know-how. After doing this for a while, I realized that with this kind of product, each customer amounted to just one sale, making it impossible to build lasting relationships with customers. Later, I joined Xiantao as a telemarketer. When I first joined the company, I was given a lot of training. It felt like there was a great deal to learn, which was quite stressful. They also arranged call reviews to provide guidance on sales scripts. Most importantly, the focus was on helping customers solve their problems. The advantage is that you learn while working. Through this job, I have also gained a lot of knowledge about health and nutrition, which can help me and my family stay healthy.

There are quite a lot of training courses, so you should be mentally prepared.

There are two stages of interviews. During the interview process, they ask in detail about the work involved in each stage of my previous work experience, as well as my specific performance results and areas of expertise. They also ask about my understanding of the company’s brand and products. The interviewing manager provides a fairly detailed introduction to the company. In addition, based on the position I am interviewing for, I am asked to submit a proposal. Overall, what stood out most was that the manager spent a great deal of time explaining the company’s history and the differences between its product development and that of other companies. I gained quite a lot from the experience.

There are two stages to the interview. The interview process was okay overall, and the interviewer's questions were not overly difficult. In addition to preparing for the basic interview questions, you should also be very clear about your expertise, value, and future career plans. The interviewer also clearly explained that this is a multifaceted role with a high degree of flexibility. The advantage is that you can work with many people and learn a lot from them. The drawback is that it takes more time to adapt to the job. Overall, the interview atmosphere was above average, and the interviewer provided a lot of feedback, which helped me learn a great deal.

I worked in procurement at a top-100 company for more than 20 years, until I retired. Since I had other plans for my retirement, I wanted to find a job I had never encountered before and learn something new. By chance, I joined Senta Brand as a telemarketer. This was a field I had never worked in before. In addition, Senta Brand is a century-old brand whose products are made from a traditional Chinese medicine perspective, involving many traditional Chinese medicine principles and product-related knowledge. Besides participating in the company's training programs, I also used my own time to read and study, helping myself get up to speed more quickly. To be honest, I was really nervous when I called customers to promote the products during the first two months, and my results fluctuated. However, as time passed, adjusting my mindset became very important. I treated every customer like my own daughter, helping them understand the benefits of the products and how the products could help solve their actual problems. When customers told me that the products had helped improve their condition, the feeling was truly wonderful and fulfilling. I am also quite grateful to Senta Brand for giving me a small stage on which to showcase my abilities!

There is still performance pressure, which has caused me to lose a few kilograms.

An office with no people… (they’ve all left) 🤣

Cons

What a shame for a good brand with potential for growth… but changing things every day… is exhausting for the people below! Is it really useful to keep looking for past customer data? With prices raised this much, customers aren’t stupid, okay? It really isn’t any more impressive!

The most important thing for a company is to unite its employees, not to keep criticizing others behind their backs!

Pros

The camaraderie among colleagues through difficult times

New colleagues get a 10-day honeymoon period (because no one comes, and everyone leaves very quickly)

Cons

First:

After joining, you may discover that the job differs from the job description.

Second:

Even the product factory location is not clearly indicated, so employees do not know.

Third:

The higher-ups always think that graduating from Taiwan’s Qinghua University is nothing special, yet they criticize people with other educational backgrounds as being low-level.

They talk constantly about benevolence, righteousness, and morality, but... keep judging others.

They shirk responsibility for everything.

Fourth:

They ask people to work overtime but do not pay overtime wages, claiming it is part of the responsibility.

Fifth:

For half-day leave, remember to provide documentation.

Sixth:

The benefits listed on 104 only include weekends off and the leave required by the Bureau of Labor Insurance. Don’t expect year-end bonuses, health checkups, profit sharing, and so on...

Generous salary

Cons

Xiantaopai is a company acquired by Chairman Kun Chang, but what is laughable is that the chairman is foolish enough to be kept in the dark by the directors of the two companies. Director Lin uses personal desires to cover up illegal activities, while Director Hu uses the company’s vendors and customers to move goods privately, filling his pockets, and goes to clubs to buy hostesses. Mr. Zhang pays for everything; he is only responsible for enjoying himself. It is truly impossible to know whether Chairman Zhang is unaware or simply foolish enough to trust these two people who are making a mess of everything. Otherwise, if this is something everyone knows about, how can Chairman Zhang remain so carefree and allow the company to be swallowed up?

Things are even better now: payroll calculations are handled exclusively by one person—she calculates it and she also distributes it. Perhaps the boss has too much money~

When company personnel resign or are laid off, or when there are problems with salary statements or attendance, no one can resolve them. I really miss the previous HR staff~

Pros

1. Colleagues are easy to get along with

2. The boss is very wealthy. At first, he will offer you the salary you ask for, but you will also be fired quickly—dismissed without warning.

Cons

1. Employees are fired arbitrarily at any time (without severance pay or an involuntary-separation certificate). You may discover on the very day you report to work that you cannot even enter the company—the fingerprint access has been deleted.

2. The boss insists on holding meetings every day, each lasting more than an hour! The meetings have no clear purpose; the main point is for you to agree with whatever he says. He acts as though he understands everything. The meetings are merely to satisfy his personal vanity and have people chat with him. You also have to prepare reports for every meeting, using the fanciful formats he demands (tables that are completely unrelated to performance), in addition to an endless workload of reports.

3. During meetings, the boss keeps repeating his “Peach quotes.” He says the same things every day, going around in circles. (Although the product has a food registration number, he talks about it as though it were a medicine that saves people and the world, while stubbornly insisting that it is not a medicine.)

4. The boss is constantly changing his mind. After a product goes on sale, he may tell you to take it down and return it to the warehouse, leaving you to be harshly scolded by the contacts at other parties.

After an event has gone live, he may suddenly ask you to take it down or tell you to do something, then immediately forget about it. The next day, he will scold you and tell you that you must not do it that way.

As people online say, he is like quintuplets: he changes every day and never gets tired of being unpredictable.

5. I heard that one of the directors is very calculating and may say one thing, do another, and undermine you behind your back.

6. The boss loves badmouthing employees behind their backs. If he takes a dislike to you that day, he will insult you behind your back during meetings with other people.

7. The boss knows virtually nothing about the internet but likes to pretend that he does.

8. He loves being conned out of money by advertising agencies but does not like employees being paid their salaries. (He rejects sound marketing approaches and insists on using only his habitual style, yet demands results that are extremely difficult to achieve. If you fail to meet them, it is your problem and he will make you leave. In reality, it is his refusal to accept other approaches that causes the lack of business.)

9. Eventually, working here will leave you feeling powerless. (You must follow his value-based marketing approach: raise the price of a product several times over and still sell it. Something that originally could not sell for even 1,000 suddenly has to be sold for 3,000.) You will feel like taking time off to attend interviews elsewhere, because it is extremely difficult to generate business under his senseless approach. But if there is no business, he will fire you. He is very impatient and cannot tolerate waiting; he gives you only two weeks, and expects results urgently.

10. He keeps changing trivial details all day long—for example, how the text in an image should be changed, what should be added, and what should be deleted. It is fine today but not fine tomorrow! He keeps revising things even though the changes do not help performance.

11. When hiring you, he will pressure you to sign an employment contract for the probationary period, claiming that during probation he does not need to give advance notice or severance pay. However, even if you make it through the three months, he will neither give you notice nor severance pay. He will pressure you to resign yourself, so he does not have to provide severance pay or an involuntary-separation certificate.

=======If you still dare to come after seeing this, I have to admire you. Do not ever think you can change the boss—it is impossible.=========

=======If you are not demanding about your salary and only want something stable, do not expect to stay here long; even one month will be difficult, and you may be told to get lost without notice. So do not leave too many belongings at the company.=========

The salary is higher than the market rate at ordinary companies—they’re willing to ask, and willing to pay (because their reputation has become so bad that they’re already having trouble recruiting employees).

But if you dare to ask, you also need to be sure you’ll survive long enough to receive it, because the honeymoon period may last only a few days before you fall into hell.

Cons

1. I swear on my chest that all of the accusations against the boss above are completely true!

2. They really love holding backroom witch hunts. They smile and greet you warmly to your face, but behind closed doors they bad-mouth you intensely to people in your department or other departments (though basically they’ll say they’re just outspoken and being themselves!). In reality, they’re an incredibly two-faced person—shameless beyond belief.

3. Because they often say they want to help and save people, I definitely have to let anyone thinking of joining know in advance: don’t see these reviews and stubbornly assume you’ll be able to avoid this terrifying cycle, because that’s impossible~~

4. Escape early to stay healthy! A lot of people have genuinely been laid off without warning recently. Some of them were quite capable, but simply because the boss didn’t like them, they were told to leave immediately! If you still decide to join, my advice is not to bring too many belongings—when it’s time to leave, it’ll be more convenient!

5. Supervisors, remember the following SOP: dislike you, bad-mouth you privately, tell you to leave the group, assign work directly to the people under you instead of contacting you, drive you away, then continue verbally attacking and berating you for a month after you leave. And so on—they never seem to tire of it!

6. Even though traditional Chinese medicine practitioners all say that pregnant women shouldn’t drink the product while it’s still in development, they actually told a newly hired employee who was in the early stages of pregnancy and experiencing bleeding to drink it. What wonderful concern for employees. I don’t know whether this was due to inadequate product knowledge or whether they genuinely wanted to cause her to miscarry.

I advise anyone interested in the “Escape Early” brand: if you want to get sick, develop a mental illness, or become so angry that you suffer a stroke, you’re welcome to visit the “Escape Early” brand~~~

I’m a boomerang employee!

I have to speak honestly and fairly! I’m not defending the company; rather, the company gives many people plenty of opportunities to learn and work hard. But everyone knows it in their hearts—some people draw a salary without knowing how to do anything. Aren’t they even embarrassed?

Each person knows best what is right and wrong!

Currently, meeting times have been greatly reduced, giving colleagues more time to complete their work more efficiently.

Cons

I can’t think of anything at the moment

There is a group of colleagues who want to start a business together. Everyone contributes according to their respective expertise and abilities, making this a very vibrant company. In particular, my direct supervisor has consistently provided me with selfless guidance and assistance, patiently teaching me. I really like this kind of work atmosphere.

Cons

However, there are also employees who work unprofessionally and cannot figure out the situation. Every communication takes a very long time... exhausting.

1. The professional leadership is excellent, and there are no privileged insiders or relatives involved. Colleagues get along harmoniously, unlike at my previous company!

2. This is a branded, flat, digitalized, computerized, and international company where I can learn many things. There are not many meetings; supervisors must present a valid reason before a meeting can be held!

3. Supervisors are expected to self-manage and lead through accountability and initiative, setting their own goals and achieving them. There are performance bonuses, following the practices of international companies. People who are accustomed to being passive and avoiding accountability can easily eliminate themselves!

4. With technological trends and the digital era, there are many brand marketing activities, and we must respond immediately to meet consumers’ needs!

5. I am a former employee who resigned and later rejoined the company. Previously, I was influenced by former colleagues and developed some incorrect ideas—we encouraged one another not to learn or make progress, among other things. After leaving and joining another company, I realized that Xiantao Brand had given me many correct ideas and offered me honest advice, even when it was difficult to hear, so I came back.

I am very grateful to my supervisor for giving me this opportunity again. I will make the most of it, develop my career here for the long term, and contribute wholeheartedly. I will work hard for myself and my family. Thank you!

Cons

The previous company was too freely democratic and encouraged people to speak their minds without restraint. Instead, this gave those who did not want to learn or improve, avoided accountability, and lacked gratitude an opportunity to complain together. I have been through this myself, so I hope the company can carefully select people who have ideals, share a common vision, have goals, and are grateful. That would truly be a blessing for the company. I felt compelled to share these thoughts today!

Colleagues support one another and work happily.

Cons

A chairman who feels invincibly great about himself and an executive assistant to the director who feels especially good about himself (because the job title is constantly changing), with dreams of controlling the entire world and a self-satisfied special emotional connection—an extraordinary realm that ordinary people cannot enter.

All I can say is, if you are world-weary and have thoughts of giving up, you are wholeheartedly welcome to join the Xiantao brand’s fantastical world!!!!

I can’t think of any, because I canceled the interview.

Cons

Before the interview, they send you a standardized résumé form. Eighty percent of it asks for information that’s already on 104, and then they also ask about your parents’ jobs and dates of birth, your national ID number, address, household registration… monthly salary, annual salary, zodiac sign, height, weight, bonuses, benefits, and other things that are none of their business.

They just don’t ask what skills you have or what your career plans are. Since I’ve been working for a while, I really can’t accept this kind of interview screening process. Usually, there isn’t much room for development at companies like this.

But I was also afraid I might have misjudged them, so I searched on Google and Bing—and sure enough, the reviews were overwhelmingly terrible. Thanks to everyone who gave warnings; canceling was the right decision.

I advise everyone: if a company asks a bunch of irrelevant questions but doesn’t ask about your expertise, and much of what they ask is already listed on your 104 profile, don’t go.

The company is fundamentally rotten.

Besides having a group of excellent colleagues who support one another, there’s nothing else! No advantages whatsoever!

Cons

1. A one-person company—the boss is the chairman, the general manager, and the head of every department. Every day is all about meetings, meetings, meetings! You have to report your progress and performance figures to him. What? You don’t want to attend the meeting? Out!

2. Everything you do at this company depends on the boss’s mood. His opinions and ideas are always the only ones that are right. No matter how good your qualifications are or how excellent your suggestions may be, the moment you mention spending money, the boss will call it a traditional circus act. Out!

3. Everything is micromanaged. The systems keep changing, the organizational chart keeps being revised, and the seating arrangements keep changing. Your job duties absolutely will not be the same as what you interviewed for. Most people did not apply for sales positions, but once they join, they are expected to shoulder sales targets. Can’t do it? Out!

4. Taking leave is incredibly difficult. No matter what kind of leave you request, you have to notify them seven days in advance. Sick leave must include proof of medical treatment. If you don’t have proof, that means your illness is not serious enough and you can still come to work. Also, when female employees take menstrual leave, he will suspect that it is fake. As soon as you have a leave record, you will quickly be blacklisted. Out!

5. The turnover rate is extremely high! The boss may suddenly take a dislike to you and fire you that very day without any warning! Even the HR department is baffled when they are ordered to make you leave. Huh? No time for a handover? Out!

6. The company owes money to vendors. Vendors are strongly advised to get paid first before carrying out any work, and to make the contracts as detailed as possible! Otherwise, he will refuse to pay on the grounds that it was not effective (profitable)!

7. The product positioning keeps changing! The price is whatever the boss feels like selling it for! This makes things very difficult for the people below, especially sales staff who need to interact directly with consumers and constantly explain things to them and deal with disputes!!

8. Is the boss suffering from multiple personalities or forgetfulness? He clearly agreed in a meeting to proceed with a project, but a few days later he will put on an amnesia act and say, “I never agreed that you could do it this way!” Then he asks, “Who told you to make decisions on your own?” Out!

9. Exposing the lies on job banks! The company does not have 200 employees! Don’t believe it? When you walk into the office for your interview, you will immediately feel the deserted atmosphere~ As for the benefits, apart from possibly having a meal together if the boss is happy that month, there is nothing else!! What about the holiday bonuses, profit sharing, trips, health checkups, afternoon tea…? Don’t be foolish! You might as well pay for your own bubble tea!

10. Although most of the colleagues are good people, there are still a few who will use every trick in the book to curry favor, take credit in front of the boss, and badmouth you. At this company, the more low-profile you are, the better. Otherwise, after competing for the boss’s favor, as long as you fail to provide the emperor with daily offerings (sales results), you will also be out very soon!

After joining, your health will steadily deteriorate and your ailments will become more and more numerous. You’ll want to play a song called “Oxygen,” or “Sincerity in Exchange for Heartlessness”.......

Pros

1. Met many excellent colleagues.

The social circle at Xiantaopai really is no joke!!!!!!

2. If you’re considering applying to this company, you can honestly ask for a bold salary (I asked for far too little at the time).

3. In a certain sense, this company is basically a happy place as long as you don’t have meetings. But when the people upstairs stop asking you to meetings, it means your time is up and you’re about to be laid off~~

4. If there’s still a normal manager above you, usually the people below don’t need to attend meetings. As long as the manager goes upstairs to be put through the wringer, things below are still okay!!

Uh, but when you take over a project and four people before you have resigned, you really can’t help but wonder: what on earth are you supposed to take over?

5. I really, really need to sincerely apologize here to a good colleague. When the boss wanted to lay them off, I briefly hoped they would leave the following week and persuaded them to stay for one more week. I never expected how drastic the boss’s attitude would become. I hope this colleague can leave the company smoothly after the New Year and get their bright eyes back XDDDDD (I genuinely did my best to recommend jobs to this colleague.)

6. I learned here how important having plenty of working hours is. They absolutely won’t randomly deduct working hours, but unfortunately, the project management I learned before is something the boss wouldn’t even look at.

7. Getting severance pay when I left was actually the happiest thing!!!!

8. I really, really hope that the colleagues who have left can find better jobs in the future. This company is the only place I’ve worked after officially entering the workforce that was still willing to ask for information such as my Facebook and Instagram details. There’s only one common enemy, so there shouldn’t be any problems.

Cons

1. Basically, this company could be saved by replacing just one person (but that probably won’t happen).

2. The boss forgets what they said that morning by the end of the day.

Every day, you have to attend meetings until you start questioning your life, and verbal humiliation is completely normal (EQ training!?)

3. The boss has to recite meaningless quotes every day. I’m very curious whether they have actually finished reading all those books.

4. No gifts for the three major holidays and no year-end bonus. We pay a welfare fee every month. Ah, this year they did give out company products, plus a participation prize of NT$500 and a meal (but it wasn’t filling). At company dinners, you also have to drink depth charges, so if you don’t hold your liquor well, remember to refuse for sure!!!

5. Basically, newcomers have a period of power lasting anywhere from two to three weeks. During this time, please try to propose projects.

6. Also, if newcomers will have to deal with other vendors in the future, remember that accounts must be settled in full in one payment. Otherwise, the boss may not pay. During my tenure, I handled at least four cases involving unpaid final balances from the preceding period in just a month and a half—and that was for only one department.

7. I feel like this place is basically running a long-term care business, except there is only one person to look after.

8. Remember to propose many projects while the newcomer’s power is still active; otherwise, the boss shoots them all down.

9. I may personally not always get to the point when I speak, but people here don’t read emails. I used to use CC emails to protect myself or other people, but no one opens your emails = =!

10. Of all the traditional-industry bosses I’ve encountered before, none was like the boss at this company. By the later stage, I had basically come to terms with it.

11. Some managers will sell out their subordinates to preserve their own positions. I am absolutely not referring to any particular xx distribution department.

But honestly, I can understand sacrificing for one’s children. Strictly speaking, I do understand.

12. Basically, getting the boss on board solves everything—but the boss seems to have 24 split personalities, so you can never figure them out.

Pros

1. You can interact with a large number of colleagues and supervisors in a short time, making it even more efficient than dating websites!!!! It should be renamed the Xiantao Dating Network.

2. Do you find life boring? Welcome to Xiantao Brand!! Let us make every day more exciting than *Empresses in the Palace* and local melodramas!! There are emperors with 101-story heights, evil ministers, and eunuchs who switch sides~~ The battle scenes are more realistic than VR experiences and 4DX movies!!

3. You can develop a high EQ and grow rapidly in body, mind, and spirit!! We help you save the cost of attending personal-growth camps outside!!

4. You can make some good colleagues and friends

Cons

1. Previously, we had to listen every day at the morning meeting to strange quotations from celebrities or passages from the Bible. The brainwashing was even more terrifying than a cult’s!!

2. The chairman often insults and verbally abuses people!! You always need to be ready to record, making work feel like being a spy!!

3. There is a terrifying cycle~~ New employees and supervisors have a three-month honeymoon period, during which they let you operate and perform freely. After three months, when the power of being a new employee expires, they send you to the cold palace and whip your corpse.... At the same time, the chairman will gang up with other colleagues to criticize and attack you during meetings.

4. Vendor payments are often overdue.

5. Yesterday I had a dream in which I saw that the chairman had a mysterious palace on the top floor....

6. Policies are unpredictable and keep going around in circles.

7. Taking leave is extremely difficult!! They even stipulate that leave cannot be taken on Mondays. Whenever you take leave, you have to worry that your job will no longer be secure when you return.

8. There are countless violations of the Labor Standards Act!!

Pros

None. If I had to say something, it would be that there is a group of decent colleagues.

Cons

1. The制度 is fake; announcements are no different from having none and are made according to the boss’s mood. Even after a document has been approved and signed, the boss can still say they have never seen it. They are exceptionally skilled at keeping a straight face while lying.

2. No matter how hard you work or how much effort you put in, it is useless because the company treats employees as disposable. On top of that, the boss is very good at badmouthing employees behind their backs and setting them against one another.

3. After joining the company, the job becomes a responsibility-based system. The boss even posts in the LINE group saying that no one is allowed to leave until the work is finished (does this violate the Labor Standards Act?!).

4. There is no overtime pay, because after joining the company the boss says it is a responsibility-based system (which is completely inconsistent with what is written on 104).

5. The boss really talks a good game about marketing, holds extremely long meetings with no focus, and the main point is that the boss will quiz you on things they have said before. Then you have to memorize a whole bunch of quotations; the office is plastered with quotations and looks a lot like a multi-level marketing company.

6. Everything in the company has to go through the boss. No matter how good the ideas or creativity are, they ultimately become the boss’s. If a project is unsuccessful, the boss shifts all the blame onto the employees. If you offer honest advice that the boss does not want to hear, you will only be blacklisted faster.

7. The organization changes frequently.

8. The company may lay people off at any time, without warning or reason.

Finally, some advice for those who are considering interviewing or preparing to join: “A leopard cannot change its spots” is true. Don’t naively think that the boss will change after you achieve results. Do not, under any circumstances, have that expectation, because it will not happen. Remember this! I’ve seen far too many people fail to make it through........Don’t waste your precious life here!!!!!!

The colleagues are capable and easy to get along with, but pretty much everyone who joined at the same time as me has disappeared.

The promotion system is extremely smooth, because as soon as your manager gets kicked out, you have to take the lead (once you become a manager, see below).

After working at this company, you will grow physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Cons

1. The boss just wants to find people to listen to him talk; he does not genuinely want to make the company better.

2. The head of the department changes every three months, junior managers change every month, and colleagues may disappear without warning at any time.

3. All the benefits are fake. The only real one, a monthly birthday dinner, is just an excuse to drink with the boss.

There is a group of very good colleagues.

Cons

They recruit people with professional backgrounds first, then expect them to shoulder performance targets. They take advantage of the probationary period for new hires; if they simply don't like you, they will tell you to leave that very day. A group of incompetent managers just spout marketing jargon. If you're so capable, do it yourself; if you can't, then shut up.

Most employees who join this company think it is a century-old company with the scale of a publicly listed company and that it should have established systems and prospects for future development. I strongly advise against going! Dozens of people have left in a short period of time... the number of job openings is 200% of the historical level!

Don't waste your precious time going there only to be beaten down and treated as worthless!!

This sentence is very important: “Don't apply to this company”!
