The interview time was scheduled, but on the day itself they suddenly informed me that it had to be changed! After the time was changed, on the day of the actual interview, the interviewer told me to wait again. I feel that this manager has very poor time-management skills!

There were four interviews in total: one video interview, followed by two calls from HR.

All I can say is that the entire interview process felt like going around in circles—no, actually! I was treated as a consultant for the director to do her own homework.

She had no intention of hiring me at all, and the salary was not particularly high for the market.

The main point is that all four interviews focused on asking in-depth questions about general practices for a department head. The most outrageous part was that they even asked me how I would set performance evaluations.

I had already stated my expected salary five times in total, yet after the final interview, they took a month to notify me that I had advanced to the final round.

The key issue is that HR was also in a difficult position: they could not manage the timing and did not have sufficient resources to negotiate with candidates.

I had to tell HR that I already had another job offer, with the salary negotiated and only my response pending, before they would take any follow-up action.
