Pros

The working hours are fairly flexible, and the compensation is okay.

Cons

Although the salary is fairly decent, it is often paid late, and the boss fires employees he doesn’t like at the drop of a hat!

I suggest that everyone ask for a higher salary during the interview. If you get fired, you can still receive a decent severance payment!

If possible, ask HR to provide a written contract on your first day. It should clearly state the compensation and the monthly payday.

Also, because the boss loves firing people—usually telling you today that you don’t need to come in tomorrow—if you ever receive notice that you are being laid off, remember not to sign any documents stating that you are resigning voluntarily! Before you leave, make sure you receive the involuntary termination certificate, severance pay, pay in lieu of the notice period, any remaining annual leave, and all outstanding wages owed by the boss, and remember to keep documentation as evidence!

If the boss refuses to pay later, you can still sue them!

Pros

Pros are... just scroll down and read a few more reviews; it’s pretty much the same.

The salary is decent, but the fact that it’s paid late and in installments cancels out the decent part. After working for four or five months, I gave up recording my salary in my budgeting app.

Cons

The delayed salary situation is extremely serious. Even the January salary was still withheld over the Lunar New Year. At the same time as delaying payment, the boss would blame employees for lacking motivation.

The company only gave a little over a month to build the official website. Planning, frontend, and visual design were all expected to be completed in just over a month—anyone who understands the workload knows how outrageous that is. During meetings, he kept saying that he only wanted us to quickly put together a website that could run, and then criticized the resulting official website for being poor. Six months later, he ordered us to redo it.

You can also refer to descriptions in other reviews.

If a company fails to pay wages on the agreed-upon payday, under the Labor Standards Act, the employee may unilaterally terminate the employment contract, and the company is legally required to provide a certificate of involuntary separation and severance pay. The boss believes that terminating the contract without notifying him first and going straight to mediation means that the employee is suing him and deliberately opposing him, so he will refuse to provide them. As a result, former employees can legally file a civil lawsuit to compel the boss to provide them. He thinks that if he gives them out, everyone will cause trouble in the same way in the future. In fact, everything is very simple. As a former employee, my advice to the boss is: as long as you pay salaries properly and on time, none of the subsequent problems will arise. Employees would not even be able to unilaterally terminate their contracts and leave whenever they felt unhappy. We all know that you still have money; I just don’t know whether you’ve gotten used to squeezing your employees this way after delaying payments year after year. In my opinion, paying salaries on time is the basic responsibility of a boss.

---

Finally, of course people must take responsibility for spreading false claims online. Before posting on Tianyancha, there is also a line of text underneath—I don’t know whether the person above read it.

That is not how the online world works. Newcomers come to Tianyancha to see whether former employees have warned them to run from the company, and whether the company’s shortcomings have improved over the years. Now, all they will additionally see is someone from the company coming to whitewash it.

Pros

As a current employee, it is really upsetting to see these unreasonable former colleagues making irresponsible remarks online. If the facts were really as you claim, wouldn’t those of us who are still employed and working hard all be brainless fools?

*Delayed salary payments did happen, but after the company made a profit this year, the boss apologized to everyone and provided compensation.

*As for whether the environment is clean, all former colleagues who have left are welcome to come back and see for yourselves.

To be fair, unsuitable employees who come in, slack off, and pretend to be dead weight may indeed receive severance pay quickly, as stated online. But isn’t being laid off for not working hard both normal and something they brought upon themselves?

Although spreading rumors online may not require accountability, please don’t speak irresponsibly against your conscience.

Cons

I’m too angry to think of any drawbacks.

Liying Technology is Liying Telecom—if you’re searching for this, you’ve found the right place.

Cons

During a meeting, the boss assertively told HR that an annual bonus would be paid.

Then, over the Lunar New Year, they paid only one-third of a month’s salary—yes, January’s salary. Withheld salaries, half-pay, and both withholding and half-pay are the norm here, but paying one-third is this year’s innovation.

Liying adheres to the principle that there is always room for improvement and nothing is ever the best!

Pros

Colleagues are easy to get along with

Cons

1. Development does not need to wait for any planning documents; you can simply fill in the gaps yourself and complete the development—what’s so difficult about that? For game optimization planning, all you need to do is take screenshots of “other companies’” games and hand them to the developers. The developers will then develop the game based on their own imagination.

2. The boss’s new direction in 2021: everything is to be led by the planning team, while sales can simply sit back and wait for orders, without needing any ability to develop clients independently.

3. The boss claims to have taught marketing courses at some university (to be confirmed), yet believes that each country’s GDP should be used as the basis for placing Facebook ads, and arbitrarily changed the Planning Department into the Marketing Department.

4. Boss: An LV bag is priced at $100,000; if you sell it for $80,000, people will feel like they got a bargain. If you sell it for $50,000, people will think your brand is terrible.

Also the boss: This dart set is on anniversary sale for $200. What was its original price!? $270!? Raise it to $320, then put it on sale for $200! That will make our customers feel like they’re getting an amazing deal! Then they’ll buy it!

5. Working at this company basically means endlessly watching the boss contradict himself and undermine everyone else, then pretending nothing happened and continuing to work according to his wishes.

6. While salaries were not being paid, employees ate beef soup instant noodles, while the boss ate elaborate Wagyu beef dishes.

7. The employee handbook and the acknowledgment signature form are kept as two separate documents, so the company can add unwritten rules whenever it wants and catch employees off guard. For example: because the company could not pay employee salaries on time on the 5th, the “genius HR employee with no HR experience or common sense” came up with the absurd idea of directly changing the policy and moving the salary payment date stated in the employee handbook to the 15th.

8. The boss imagines that clients’ insults are “a disappointment born of high expectations” and “the harsher the criticism, the deeper the love.” In other words, he believes that clients give negative reviews only because they love us so much. This is completely irrational thinking!!

9. When customers received the product and pointed out that its light target was different from the one in the video, the boss simply told them to turn off the room lights—a form of self-deception.

Pros

1. Some colleagues are quite easy to get along with.

2. There is a 1.5-hour lunch break, which is relatively long compared with other companies.

3. The compensation is quite good.

Cons

1. Monthly salaries are not paid on time. For several years now, there have been instances where only half of the salary was paid.

2. The boss is completely stupid. He has many strange dreams but no money to run the business / does not want to invest.

3. The boss often calls meetings just as employees are preparing to leave work, even though there is basically nothing worth discussing. It just goes around in circles!!

4. The boss comes up with many ideas himself and completely ignores employees’ suggestions, directly telling them to carry out his ridiculous ideas. When the results turn out poorly, the mistakes are blamed on the employees. Talk about a question mark?!

5. The boss does not care what your expertise is. He only cares about sales, sales, and sales! In his mind, everyone can become a salesperson and make money for him! If you cannot produce results, he will keep sarcastically criticizing you during meetings, or even fire you immediately.

6. Employees take turns being assigned to collect/take out the garbage and wash the boss’s tea set.

7. If the boss takes a dislike to you, you will be fired immediately. He may tell you before the end of the workday not to come in tomorrow.

8. The office is like a warehouse—messy, and there are even rats.

In short, there is too much to list. If you want to learn more, you can try applying.

Good luck! :)

Pros

1. Learn how to communicate with abnormal people

2. Learn how to do some abnormal things

3. Learn how to fit into a bratty-kid group and become one of the brats

4. Learn how to qualify for severance and obtain the benefits you are entitled to after being laid off

Cons

1. The company has no working capital. PS: That is why delayed salary payments happen so often. According to what I heard from senior employees, this started several years ago and is still the same today.

2. The company does not provide year-end bonuses. PS: Your severance pay is your year-end bonus.

3. The company provides no training and has no such thing as SOPs.

4. One department of the company has more abnormal people than normal people.

5. The company environment is beyond comment.

6. The company owner has many dreams but no money to realize them, and their way of thinking is also quite unconventional.

7. The company’s positions are basically just for show. Sometimes you may have to help out in another department, and the work may differ from the position you applied for through 104. PS: For example, in a situation I saw before, an accountant went to help prepare materials for a dart machine. I was completely bewildered.

8. This company is a landmine in itself. If you have seen the comments from these “Tianyan” veterans, consider yourself lucky.

Pros

1. It’s very easy to coast by.

2. You can wear slippers to work and treat the company like your own home.

3. If you want to easily receive severance pay and an involuntary termination certificate, this company is truly your top choice. The boss lays people off at the drop of a hat, especially sales staff. Although the boss is stingy when buying certain things, they are very generous with severance pay and involuntary termination certificates.

Cons

1. The company’s financial situation is extremely poor. It can barely pay salaries, and delayed wages are commonplace. Failing to pay other businesses is also commonplace.

2. Twenty-four sales employees left in one year. Sales staff usually have to listen to the boss’s presentations at work about unrealistic dreams. Every meeting is basically about the same few things; after listening for a day or two, you can practically recite them by heart.

3. The company provides no training, and its systems are also extremely poor. Basically, there are no systems at all.

4. As for the engineering department, there are quite a few people who pretend to be working but do nothing, and many people also disappear from work. Some people have rather bad habits and leave things lying around randomly. The entire department is practically like a garbage dump, and the supervisor is cut from the same cloth, so nothing is done about it.

5. The company does not provide year-end bonuses. The boss only says that they will definitely pay them later, but they never have.

Pros

Aside from some colleagues being easy to get along with, I sincerely couldn’t find any other advantages.

Cons

1. You won’t know what your actual salary is until you receive your first month’s paycheck. The offer notification is sent only through 104, without stating the salary and benefits, and there is no email notification.

2. Late payment of salaries and bonuses is commonplace. The boss does not feel ashamed and only continues to pressure employees to produce and deliver results. Salaries may be paid several days late. You must not clock in even one minute early, while clocking out one minute early will result in HR complaining about you. Even when the time clock is clearly malfunctioning and running 5 or 6 minutes slow, no one will deal with it. P.S. General affairs is just a title for show.

3. I heard that the new HR employee originally applied for a cashier position. After working as a cashier for a few days, they were transferred to finance because the company had no finance staff, and later transferred to HR, continuing to handle HR work with a cashier’s mindset.

4. Furthermore, because HR came from a cashiering background, they may not understand how to negotiate salaries with new hires. Some people have even had their salaries cut twice after joining: the salary agreed upon with the boss was first cut once by HR, then cut again by HR on the day they were hired for a bizarre reason.

5. The company only knows that it needs to hire new employees, but does not know where the money to pay them is.

6. The administrative units managed by the boss are not properly supervised. The boss only keeps instructing each department on the details of how to work, while a company that does not even provide a formal offer can only blame the heads of each department for being unable to recruit people.

Pros

Almost all of my colleagues were angels. The only thing I was reluctant to leave behind was my colleagues.

Honestly, this place can be treated as a life experience. I’ve never seen a company this intense.

You can really slack off when things are slow, but when the boss suddenly has a stroke of genius, you’ll know what hell looks like.

Overtime isn’t required, but when you can’t finish your work, you probably won’t get overtime pay even if you want to work overtime.

Cons

The boss’s mind is truly incredible. Today, he’ll say the product needs to be black, and after the templates, design, and distributors have all been coordinated, the next day he’ll immediately say it needs to be white. Then he’ll force everyone to change it to white, throwing everything out and starting over. Even more impressively, after you spend three months redoing everything, he’ll say it should be black again. Haha, didn’t see that coming, did you?

The deadlines set by the boss are also truly incredible. Today, he’ll give you a week to finish something, and the next day he’ll ask whether it’s done. He thinks everything is simple and can be learned in a day, so the next day he’ll expect you to know how to use a program you’ve never used before.

There are a very small number of people at the company who are useless and even hold others back, but the boss’s ability to judge people is, of course, also incredible—as long as you know how to flatter him and obey him, that’s enough.

The boss has very creative ideas about financial planning, so it’s perfectly normal to owe employees wages and labor and health insurance contributions, or to pay only half their salaries at a time.

The boss also has many very special ideas, so don’t bother trying to communicate with him. The opinions of us ignorant commoners will never be adopted.

The boss cares greatly about employees’ ability to train their sixth sense. Employees often need to use their psychic abilities, so don’t expect the boss to clearly tell you what he wants. You have to be self-reliant about that.

The boss’s English ability is extraordinarily strong, so he naturally believes it’s perfectly reasonable for native English speakers not to understand his English.

Otherwise, it’s honestly just really dirty. The whole company is basically Mickey Mouse’s clubhouse.

Oh, and although the benefits list says there’s an annual bonus, you have to earn the bonus yourself! If there’s no performance, not paying the annual bonus is always the employees’ fault!

You can play darts at work

Cons

1. The company’s financial situation is extremely poor, and it can barely pay salaries; unpaid wages are a common occurrence.

2. The boss does not respect professionalism and fires people he dislikes at any time.

3. There is absolutely no room for development. The boss says all day that he wants to see reports, but they are all meaningless.

4. The office is old, and employees have to take out the trash and clean the toilets themselves.

5. There is no overtime pay, only compensatory leave. When you apply for overtime, the boss still makes a fuss, saying that employees generate no value, so why work overtime?

6. The company is often short of money, the equipment is terrible, and there are even rats, yet it keeps hiring new people and then enters a cycle of being unable to pay them.

7. The boss is indecisive. If he suddenly wants something done today, he forces you to produce it the next day, rendering all the previous work futile.

8. There are no systems or processes overall; it is a terrible company.

Pros

1. The only enemy the colleagues have is the boss; there is hardly any scheming between departments.

2. You can play darts at work.

3. The boss goes to mainland China once a month for a week. That week is a good time: as long as you finish the tasks you’re supposed to do each day, things are pretty relaxing.

Cons

1. The boss is basically the devil. Don’t expect to communicate or discuss things with him. All he wants are slaves who will listen to him and produce his various absurd ideas in an extremely short time. Every afternoon, there are a bunch of meaningless meetings where you have to listen to him talk nonsense and cannot contradict him. He just endlessly repeats things like “I don’t care,” “I don’t know,” or “I feel like Nothing”—complete bullshit—and never considers the difficulties employees encounter...

2. In the second month after starting, only half the salary was paid, and the other half was paid nearly ten days later. (However you look at it, it really seems like the company was experiencing serious financial difficulties.)

3. Even though the company clearly had no money, it kept hiring new people, apparently trying to use them to get rid of old employees it didn’t like, and then repeating the cycle indefinitely. Roughly every three months, one group would leave and another would arrive. There was absolutely no room for growth or development.

4. Honestly, the boss really should call it quits. I recommend that anyone considering joining think it through very carefully. If you want to experience being treated like an idiot while being called an idiot, then hahaha.

5. He thinks a project plan can be completed in two hours and the planning for a system feature can be completed in one hour. Then at 3 p.m. he comes to ask, “Where’s the thing you’re supposed to give me?” (He hadn’t even mentioned it the day before....) Then he holds a meeting at 6 p.m. and won’t let you leave. The only way to go is to sneak out. It was the first time in my life I clocked out and ran out of the company; even military service wasn’t this damn ridiculous.

6. Oh, and he’ll also publicly humiliate you during meetings, saying that you generate no value and spend all day doing pointless work. Even if you argue back, he’ll just endlessly repeat himself. He’s a stubborn middle-aged man who cares about his image and loves pretending to know things he doesn’t.

Pros

If your attitude toward work is just to muddle through, this place could not be more suitable for you, because even if you do your work sloppily, the boss cannot tell, and even if you write the same work report every day, the boss will sign off on and approve all of them. It is basically heaven~

Cons

1. The boss does not understand or respect your expertise. If you happen to be someone who is passionate about the company, and you use your professional knowledge to propose a project that you believe would help the company, or a long-term plan that might take a month to execute, the boss will say, “Good job!” and then tell you to finish it in one day. If you cannot, he will taunt you: “Don’t lie to me! I’ve done this before!”

2. The company makes dart machines and considers Japan’s Dartslive and Korea’s Phoenix to be competitors. But! But! They are considered competitors only in terms of sales. When it comes to improving product quality, the boss simply does not want to manage it or invest in it. All day long, he pressures marketing and sales for results, results, results. The boss only cares about sales figures. If customers have problems with the product, he tells marketing to double as customer service. If sales figures do not come in? Then he tells the engineers in the development department to double as salespeople! He even tells the HR staff in the general affairs office to double as salespeople! In short, sales figures are the only thing that matters; every other part of the operation is treated like crap.

3. The boss often comes up with strange ideas and expects others to produce them within a week or a month, even though he does not understand the field at all. For example, he might ask you to create a game combining Li Xiaofei’s flying daggers with AR, VR, and a dart machine, then smugly say, “Wouldn’t this be really fun?” Every meeting leaves you wondering what on earth is going on, because there is no room for anyone else to speak throughout the entire meeting. You can only passively receive whatever stupid command the boss has come up with, apparently after God knows what he was taking.

4. Oh, speaking of meetings: the boss never comes to the office until 3 p.m., then starts summoning anyone he thinks is relevant into his office to listen to him ramble nonsense (he considers this a meeting). Marketing and sales have it worse and may be summoned two or three times in one afternoon. Officially, you finish work at 7 p.m.? If the boss cannot find you after 7, prepare to be fired.

5. People have already mentioned in the previous two reviews that the company environment is like a warehouse, but I would like to add one more thing: rats occasionally chew through the air-conditioning lines. So, besides possibly arriving at work on Monday to find your desk in a chaotic mess from rats chewing on everything, along with rat droppings, you may also get water leaks~

6. The boss will always forget what he said the day before. It is best to record the entire meeting when speaking with him, especially the part where he agrees to the amount of time you need to execute a project (say you negotiate a week), because the next day he will ask you, “Didn’t you say you would give it to me today?”

7. Everyone except the boss has to take turns serving as the duty person, including emptying the restroom trash and disposing of the stinky, sour tea leaves and cigarette butts from the boss’s office.

Writing this actually fills me with a lot of helplessness. After all, no one likes changing jobs, but no matter how you look at it, this company resembles a broken ship that leaks all day long. If you have seen this review, congratulations—you have other, better choices that can bring a little more positive energy into your life. Although Taiwan’s workplace environment is terrible, and everywhere is full of inexplicable nonsense that makes people want to quit, when it comes to hitting rock bottom, Li Ying is truly the most outrageous company I have personally seen. No matter how much you are searching for a better job while staying in your current one, at the very least, do not choose a lame donkey. I will not say more—if you still want to join, savor this carefully.

Pros

1. Whenever you work major overtime, there is always someone working overtime with you. Having company when you’re falling apart is the best.

2. You don’t need to take reports too seriously when writing them. The boss won’t read them carefully anyway—even highlighting key points in red makes no difference. You can repeatedly submit reports that have already been turned in, and the boss won’t notice at all.

Cons

1. The boss doesn’t care about or make good use of employees’ original areas of expertise. Whenever someone resigns, they casually assign someone else to fill the vacancy, requiring that person to figure out how to develop the skills and knowledge needed for the position on their own, without providing any training.

2. The previous two posts said that overtime wasn’t necessary, but that was the Visual Design Department. The Sales Department has to remain on standby at night and on holidays to deal with global clients. The Development Department often has to rush various changes that suddenly occur to the boss. The Engineering Department has to take turns staying on duty at the company at night and on holidays. Not having to work overtime is a fantasy, okay?

3. The company refuses to pay overtime and only offers compensatory leave. Whenever you take leave, the boss publicly asks why you take leave so often. Even when you take sick leave, the boss will publicly humiliate you, asking whether your poor health is because you are too fat or whether you have some illness. Several people have been spoken to this way.

4. You have to write a daily work report every day and attend several meetings every day. Meetings frequently run past the end of the workday. If you don’t stay for meetings, the boss will harass you with relentless calls; there have even been calls at 11 p.m. In the past, someone was even fired for not staying behind for a meeting.

5. The boss has many strange ideas of their own, and everything has to be done according to those ideas. Then they set unreasonable deadlines, telling you that you must get things done even if it means working overtime on holidays and staying up all night.

6. I’m emotionally exhausted and can’t go on. If you still want to know more, join the company and experience it for yourself. Good luck—the spirit is with you.

1. No overtime

2. The supervisor is very nice

Cons

1. The environment is poor; the entire company looks like a warehouse.

2. There are mice and cockroaches in the office. After the weekend, you may find mouse droppings on your desk.

3. The company seems to be experiencing operational difficulties and is currently undergoing major layoffs. Anyone considering joining should think carefully!

4. The company has absolutely no professional ethics. I applied for the position the company advertised, was notified that I had been hired, and completed the entire company website and event pages in less than two weeks. Then I was immediately told that the company was going to carry out major layoffs. So, Mr. Yang Zhengbao, may I ask what your purpose was in advertising the position in the first place? I completed the work within two weeks of starting, and then was told that I was being laid off?
