Almost all of my colleagues were angels. The only thing I was reluctant to leave behind was my colleagues.
Honestly, this place can be treated as a life experience. I’ve never seen a company this intense.
You can really slack off when things are slow, but when the boss suddenly has a stroke of genius, you’ll know what hell looks like.
Overtime isn’t required, but when you can’t finish your work, you probably won’t get overtime pay even if you want to work overtime.
The boss’s mind is truly incredible. Today, he’ll say the product needs to be black, and after the templates, design, and distributors have all been coordinated, the next day he’ll immediately say it needs to be white. Then he’ll force everyone to change it to white, throwing everything out and starting over. Even more impressively, after you spend three months redoing everything, he’ll say it should be black again. Haha, didn’t see that coming, did you?
The deadlines set by the boss are also truly incredible. Today, he’ll give you a week to finish something, and the next day he’ll ask whether it’s done. He thinks everything is simple and can be learned in a day, so the next day he’ll expect you to know how to use a program you’ve never used before.
There are a very small number of people at the company who are useless and even hold others back, but the boss’s ability to judge people is, of course, also incredible—as long as you know how to flatter him and obey him, that’s enough.
The boss has very creative ideas about financial planning, so it’s perfectly normal to owe employees wages and labor and health insurance contributions, or to pay only half their salaries at a time.
The boss also has many very special ideas, so don’t bother trying to communicate with him. The opinions of us ignorant commoners will never be adopted.
The boss cares greatly about employees’ ability to train their sixth sense. Employees often need to use their psychic abilities, so don’t expect the boss to clearly tell you what he wants. You have to be self-reliant about that.
The boss’s English ability is extraordinarily strong, so he naturally believes it’s perfectly reasonable for native English speakers not to understand his English.
Otherwise, it’s honestly just really dirty. The whole company is basically Mickey Mouse’s clubhouse.
Oh, and although the benefits list says there’s an annual bonus, you have to earn the bonus yourself! If there’s no performance, not paying the annual bonus is always the employees’ fault!
