Pros

Former employee. I suddenly came across this and all the anger in my heart came flooding back, so I immediately decided to put these miserable memories down in writing and make them public.

The general manager is a very nice person, and everyone else is nice too—except for the two thick-headed “senior female managers” on the AM Team.

Cons

Before the interview, HR will tell you how driven the company is, how much it values employee learning, that it won’t make employees work overtime, and that it offers reasonable salaries and benefits.

But once you actually start working there, you’ll gradually discover that the training resources are outdated and completely useless even if you read them. The veterans still have to teach everything themselves, so all those resources are fake. Even if they tell you before the interview how capable the general manager is and how much knowledge she has, it has nothing to do with you—she doesn’t have time to deal with you and works in a different location, so don’t expect to learn anything from her. But as general manager, that part isn’t her fault.

The fault lies with the two most senior, thick-headed female managers on this company’s AM Team. They are extremely selfish and think they’re always right. When people discuss things with them, they’re already furious inside but still put on a cheeky smile, thinking they’re humorous and interesting. They act as if being managers makes them superior. It’s fine when they go around in circles, but when others do it, it’s unacceptable. They waste a huge amount of time discussing important matters, and even after finally reaching a conclusion, they keep changing their minds. Every time they say the direction needs to change, all of us have to work ourselves to the bone again. What exactly do they want? They both clearly have amnesia. They’re unbelievably stupid. It doesn’t matter to them anyway—they only have to open their mouths; they aren’t the ones actually handling the details. The time wasted isn’t theirs either. They’re incredibly selfish, yet they still think they’re the most capable, the pride of the company, the big shots. So many new employees have worked with them, failed to adapt, and eventually left. Of course you two are the only ones left, so you think you’re the best. The problem is fundamentally with you.

Every day, all they think about is how to review the hiring system, change the recruitment copy, make candidates go through a three-day interview process, and complete some kind of new-hire training. No amount of additional training will help! If the general manager of this company really wants to expand it, she should first seriously review your team—the two thick-headed “senior mentors”! An incompetent commander exhausts the entire army. You change orders from day to day while still acting smug and cheerful. You’re truly awful.

I suspect that when you see this comment someday, you’ll only respond with a confused “What the hell?” because “a horse doesn’t know how long its face is”—that’s exactly the situation here. General manager, don’t take it too hard when you see this. This is the reason your company can’t expand internally. As long as your two senior mentors continue to be managers, talent in your department will keep leaving. All your efforts are being drained away by the people below you!

Pros

The view is excellent—you can see Taipei 101 directly. There are so many snacks that we can’t finish them before they expire. The colleagues are all around the same age, overtime isn’t required, and there’s an abundance of annual leave ɷ◡ɷ;

Before joining, I saw the online reviews and was scared out of my wits, but I still gritted my teeth and thought I’d give it a try. After joining, I found that things weren’t the same as described in the reviews. Later, after becoming familiar with my colleagues and asking them, I found out that there had been major changes in management, and the systems had been significantly revised. So I get along fairly well with my colleagues—we chat, gossip, and order takeout during work. I heard from colleagues that the military-style training in the past was genuinely terrifying, but now it’s more like being expected to learn independently. I really don’t know what happened to the old management style. Overtime isn’t specifically required either. Although clients sometimes drag things out past quitting time, our supervisor still urges us to leave work as soon as possible. It wasn’t until I moved to another agency that I realized being able to leave work on time really is a rare breath of fresh air in the advertising industry. Now, one person is basically being worked as if they were ten. This isn’t a promotional comment—just my personal experience~

Cons

The interview process is really long, and there’s also a second interview that lasts the whole day—it’s exhausting. Although it helped me, as someone without experience, build a lot of foundational knowledge, the pressure at the beginning was really intense, especially when the supervisor was watching me ><

People don’t talk much at work; everyone just stares at their screens, so the atmosphere isn’t very lively.

Clients are allowed to ask for anything, and requests are rarely refused. Too many services are provided beyond the original scope, which makes the work exhausting.

Pros

During the interview, the manager said that the company was the most willing in the industry to hire fresh graduates, which was indeed very appealing to me.

I received the interview result very quickly.

Cons

The interview took the entire morning, from 10:00 to 12:30, and still had not ended even when the employees had taken their break. The process and a long series of tests were not mentioned beforehand either. The most exhausting interview experience⋯

The interviewing manager was dressed quite casually (sloppily), and could not give a direct answer about the actual duties of the position. They kept talking about the company’s business philosophy. During the interview, they said things like, “I’ll do whatever makes you happy”⋯ (shocked)!!!

Although I don’t have much work experience, you can sense a company’s atmosphere from the interview process with the manager ^_^

Pros

Convenient transportation

Bright office

Cons

Please, don't go interview at this company anymore.

The boss has allegedly been making frequent headlines since before for suspected misuse of company funds.

https://news.tvbs.com.tw/local/1176586

Jiu Da, Dong Zhu, and Xiang Shang all have the same boss.

A boss who is this kind of investor has no idea how to run a company.

The average salary here is only NT$26K–29K.

Only those who work hard to suck up to the general manager and the boss can earn more than NT$30,000.

Only people from the cram-school system can sit back and earn high salaries; they can make unlimited mistakes without being fired.

Don't even get me started on the year-end bonus.

It used to be one month, but ever since people from the cram-school system came in, it's only 0.4–0.5 months.

Now it's even been featured in Cheers news. Please stop harming people, okay?

Pros

Perhaps because senior management is busy changing directives from one day to the next, they do not have much time to pay attention to everyone, so the working hours and content are fairly relaxed.

Colleagues of the same age get along quite happily, possibly because the constant changes in directives and the bizarre tasks assigned by parachuted-in managers make it easy to develop a sense of camaraderie.

Cons

Apart from learning many things from General Manager You, if you want to experience all kinds of bizarre workplace situations, you can experience them all very quickly here. One department's staff were warned that they had to meet their quota the following month, or they might be asked to leave the company afterward. But strangely... the new work month had only just begun when their manager told them that upper management thought they were unsuitable and asked them to consider leaving the company on their own. The problem was... the work had not even started yet. However, when the results were tallied at the end of the month, the employee had met their quota. The manager was unexpectedly furious, saying that this would make it difficult for them to explain things to senior management because senior management had tried to persuade that employee to stay. If you think this whole story sounds bizarre, yes—it is, because the entire situation really was that bizarre...

If you have passion, follow the general manager closely; digital advertising and marketing will certainly offer outstanding growth opportunities.

As for the other departments... there are bigger places outside where you can learn more, so do not become fixated on this company...

Spacious office

Senior colleagues are kind

Cons

They dangle big promises to get you to work yourself to death.

They create the illusion that the company is doing very well, but don't give raises.

They talk a lot about bonuses, but the actual amount is very small, and there are also a lot of exclusion clauses.

It seems there is no year-end bonus?

I saw many negative reviews at first, but ultimately I still thought I had to experience it myself for them to count. My conclusion is that I deeply regret not taking those reviews seriously.

Before hiring, they put you through many stages, making the company seem very strong. The training after hiring also constantly emphasizes how large the company is and creates many illusions. At first, I thought I had been hired by an incredible company, but in the end I realized it was all an illusion. Otherwise, how could the salary and bonuses be so pitifully low, with no overtime pay either?

Although only New Taipei City had a day off on Wednesday due to Typhoon Maria, the company supervisors took into consideration that some colleagues live in cities and counties outside Taipei. Therefore, for safety reasons, all employees were told not to come to the office, and their salaries were still paid. Although when I first joined the company, I was worried that it would really be as bad as the negative reviews said, I found that in reality it was not as bad as everyone said. The company shows signs of continuous improvement. For example, there is now a half-hour flexible work schedule. If you have something to do after work, you can start work earlier and leave earlier.

Pros

1. Spacious and bright office

2. 10 days of annual leave after completing one year

3. Bonuses for the three major holidays

4. Half-hour flexible working hours (9:00–10:00)

5. Training is provided, with directors and senior colleagues teaching classes, interspersed with videos

6. They are willing to give newcomers opportunities, but you have to pass the training

Cons

The interview really does take a lot of time; senior colleagues are involved in the interview process.

Before leaving, I secretly glanced around and saw that about 70% of the seats were occupied. The meeting rooms were full of people discussing things, so it did not seem as bad as everyone said.

I wasn’t hired after the new-hire training........

Pros

There is a training course, and you can only join the company after passing it.

Although the salary here is only 27K for fresh graduates,

it is still a little higher than what a certain distributor offered me.

The interviewer was very kind and approachable.

Cons

There will be no salary increase after the probationary period.

If I take on accounts in the future, I don't know whether the bonus will be as the interviewer said.

Cons

1. The business supervisor has no business experience and was parachuted in simply because she is a favorite of the chairman.

2. She has none of the basic business skills and is unaware when she says things that may cause clients to misunderstand.

3. Even when given advice, she cannot accept it and instead twists the intention, accusing you of being dissatisfied with her personally. She will only accept it after the general manager makes the decision.

4. You have to write daily work progress reports, and there are also assigned books to write reflections on every week. Basically, just writing the daily report takes 1.5–2 hours.

5. Leaving work at 7 p.m. counts as early. The supervisor does not understand what clients want; she can spend an entire evening merely adjusting the font and spacing on a quotation. Working overtime until 10–11 p.m. is common.

6. The interview process is excessively lengthy: an initial interview plus three days of interviews.

A group of people is taken to Taichung and collectively interviewed by more than ten business supervisors. The topics discussed are completely private, and then most of the candidates are eliminated, leaving only one or two in the end.

7. They identify genuinely ambitious people, then have inexperienced people manage them, and eventually ask you to resign on the grounds that you are unwilling to follow instructions.

If you want to spend 12 hours a day at the company being worked like a soldier, please come. You can learn from Assistant HR Manager Lin, who stays more than 12 hours every day, which shows how much she loves this company. Also, it’s because the owner of this company comes from a cram-school and military background and always hires their own people. Assistant HR Manager Lin used to be the head teacher at the cram school. She treats you and talks to you as if you were a child or an elementary school student. Wow~~ It feels like I’ve become so immature and young, doesn’t it~~

The company is very large with plenty of space; half of it is unoccupied, and each person can take up several desks and chairs.

The company space is large and extremely quiet, so you can take care of your throat and cultivate a sleep-friendly atmosphere.

Cons

What was said in the interview and what actually happens during the probationary period and at work are completely different—like two entirely separate things.

Basically, everyone at the company tells a different story, with no standards or credibility at all.

It seems that the senior management of your company really has too much free time... They even have to flood this site with posts, and add content that is more or less the same at the same time. This shows that the negative reviews of your company are very genuine.

Furthermore, this company has several names:

想上數位廣告、久大行銷、久大資訊、創新新零售 are all names used by it.

Here are some related reviews:

Pros

1. Written test

In addition to filling in basic information,

there were 10 logic questions. Some of them were actually quite fun to work through.

But because there were so many logic questions, just completing this stage

took nearly an hour in total.

2. Interview

After the HR representative came in, they chatted with me for a while, probably to ask about my interest in the position, and then introduced the company and the job responsibilities. Next, a more senior employee came in for the interview, and then it was over.

3. Result

I received the offer notification the day after I got home, but there was also a three-day orientation.

Cons

After the initial and second interviews on the first day, they also said there would be three days of orientation. If you don't pass any one of the stages, you probably won't get in (sweat drop).

This took nearly three hours in total, so I recommend going to the interview only when you're well-rested........

The HR sister’s attitude was professional and she spoke fluently. That was the only part of the interview process that gave me a positive impression; everything else was nothing but QAQ. She talked really fast~

Cons

First of all, as soon as you enter, they give you four sheets of tests to complete in a small meeting room: personality traits, logic, digital advertising calculations, and copywriting. You get about 60 minutes, but the staff says it’s okay if you don’t finish—you can wait until after the entire interview (which is true, because there are really a lot of questions). The logic, digital advertising calculations, and copywriting tests were fine; they were related to logic and the job, so I could accept them.

But OMG, the personality questionnaire was really ridiculous. It was double-sided and had nearly 20 questions in total—practically a background investigation. By the end, I was really losing patience~~ Examples of the questions included: What do you feel when you come into work at the office? What are your thoughts about wanting to work for this company? What is your motivation for applying? Looking back on your work or school experience, please explain your thoughts when you encountered unreasonable/reasonable rules. If the company asked you to work overtime to finish a task, what would you think? What do you think is your biggest weakness? What are your future financial plans? What are your criteria for choosing a partner? (What the heck is this OAO) What qualities does your ideal supervisor possess? (They even provided options for you to check—um, how considerate.) What are your thoughts on today’s interview? And so on. Since it took so long to write, I remember quite a lot of them XDD

Oh, right, one more thing: when you receive the interview invitation, they also ask you to fill out a very standard-form résumé. That takes a long time too—practically a background investigation~~ (Not many people investigate what your family members do for a living these days, right? OAO This company really seems to love handwritten stuff XDD)

After writing for an hour, just when my patience was almost gone, the HR sister finally came.....but I still hadn’t finished writing XD The HR sister gave a presentation about the company culture, promotion system, and so on. Her attitude was professional and she spoke fluently. That was the only part of the interview process that gave me a positive impression; everything else was nothing but QAQ. She talked really fast~

During the probationary period, the starting salary is 25K (you really can’t survive in Taipei on that; when you see this number, I genuinely advise everyone to leave.....). Before that, there is also a three-day training period (I’ve forgotten the exact name, but basically, you have to go to the company unpaid~). And you only get NT$500 in transportation expenses for one day (What exactly are they trying to pull here? ==). During the probationary period, you get extra money for earning certifications, perfect attendance, and so on—about NT$1,000–2,000 per certification. For perfect attendance, I remember it was NT$2,000. The main point is that after the probationary period, I remember the salary still didn’t reach 30K~ It was truly awful. There were also study groups, early-morning training, supervisor gatherings, reports, and so on. Hearing all that at the time, I genuinely felt awkward and speechless~ It felt very demanding and high-pressure.

After listening to everything, I continued finishing my questions, handed them in, and left immediately. A few days later, I received a phone call offering me the job~ Of course, I politely declined XD But ironically, HR called a second time @@ (I was startled and thought, “Didn’t I already decline? What kind of magic trick is this?”) HR said that if I changed my mind and wanted to join the company, they would be willing to hold a position for me, and that I was welcome to call her again~~~~~~ At this point, you can probably tell how badly this company needs people~ Terrible~~~

Don’t go, don’t go, don’t go. Don’t even go to the interview, please QAQ

Once again, seriously, don’t go. The impression this kind of company gave me was that it wants fresh graduates who will obediently follow orders, have a slave mentality, and are easy to deceive. Don’t force yourself or waste your youth ---------

The floor is very slippery; someone falls every day.

Cons

Previously, a change of COO led to extensive hiring.

Now, a change of executive has led to extensive layoffs.

They mix new hires with existing employees to hold consensus-building workshops.

They bring in a dozen or twenty new hires for interviews.

The pass rate is only 1%, and there are also cases where no one passes.

On the other hand, the layoff rate is highly effective every time—

roughly 70–80%.

They say it is a consensus-building workshop, but in reality it is simply a layoff camp.

I originally thought the new executive would lead everyone toward a brighter future.

In the end, it is still just as incomprehensible.

Everyone has to worry that they may be laid off that same day or the next.

A very strange company. Those who are still working there, please take care.
