Pros

The HR sister’s attitude was professional and she spoke fluently. That was the only part of the interview process that gave me a positive impression; everything else was nothing but QAQ. She talked really fast~

Cons

First of all, as soon as you enter, they give you four sheets of tests to complete in a small meeting room: personality traits, logic, digital advertising calculations, and copywriting. You get about 60 minutes, but the staff says it’s okay if you don’t finish—you can wait until after the entire interview (which is true, because there are really a lot of questions). The logic, digital advertising calculations, and copywriting tests were fine; they were related to logic and the job, so I could accept them.

But OMG, the personality questionnaire was really ridiculous. It was double-sided and had nearly 20 questions in total—practically a background investigation. By the end, I was really losing patience~~ Examples of the questions included: What do you feel when you come into work at the office? What are your thoughts about wanting to work for this company? What is your motivation for applying? Looking back on your work or school experience, please explain your thoughts when you encountered unreasonable/reasonable rules. If the company asked you to work overtime to finish a task, what would you think? What do you think is your biggest weakness? What are your future financial plans? What are your criteria for choosing a partner? (What the heck is this OAO) What qualities does your ideal supervisor possess? (They even provided options for you to check—um, how considerate.) What are your thoughts on today’s interview? And so on. Since it took so long to write, I remember quite a lot of them XDD

Oh, right, one more thing: when you receive the interview invitation, they also ask you to fill out a very standard-form résumé. That takes a long time too—practically a background investigation~~ (Not many people investigate what your family members do for a living these days, right? OAO This company really seems to love handwritten stuff XDD)

After writing for an hour, just when my patience was almost gone, the HR sister finally came.....but I still hadn’t finished writing XD The HR sister gave a presentation about the company culture, promotion system, and so on. Her attitude was professional and she spoke fluently. That was the only part of the interview process that gave me a positive impression; everything else was nothing but QAQ. She talked really fast~

During the probationary period, the starting salary is 25K (you really can’t survive in Taipei on that; when you see this number, I genuinely advise everyone to leave.....). Before that, there is also a three-day training period (I’ve forgotten the exact name, but basically, you have to go to the company unpaid~). And you only get NT$500 in transportation expenses for one day (What exactly are they trying to pull here? ==). During the probationary period, you get extra money for earning certifications, perfect attendance, and so on—about NT$1,000–2,000 per certification. For perfect attendance, I remember it was NT$2,000. The main point is that after the probationary period, I remember the salary still didn’t reach 30K~ It was truly awful. There were also study groups, early-morning training, supervisor gatherings, reports, and so on. Hearing all that at the time, I genuinely felt awkward and speechless~ It felt very demanding and high-pressure.

After listening to everything, I continued finishing my questions, handed them in, and left immediately. A few days later, I received a phone call offering me the job~ Of course, I politely declined XD But ironically, HR called a second time @@ (I was startled and thought, “Didn’t I already decline? What kind of magic trick is this?”) HR said that if I changed my mind and wanted to join the company, they would be willing to hold a position for me, and that I was welcome to call her again~~~~~~ At this point, you can probably tell how badly this company needs people~ Terrible~~~

Don’t go, don’t go, don’t go. Don’t even go to the interview, please QAQ

Once again, seriously, don’t go. The impression this kind of company gave me was that it wants fresh graduates who will obediently follow orders, have a slave mentality, and are easy to deceive. Don’t force yourself or waste your youth ---------
