Pros

If you want to see an NTR plot, come for an interview soon.

Cons

Every workday feels like sitting back and watching a farce; you absolutely need to have popcorn ready. System errors keep appearing one after another—nothing can be fully fixed or improved, and the processes are so chaotic that you have to memorize the “illogical” rules. Want to improve things? Don’t be foolish; taking initiative means challenging authority. Promotions depend on being sweet-talking and choosing the right side, not on ability. Most supervisors refuse to take responsibility or make decisions; they only shift blame and pretend to be busy. All day long, they just want to use Line to book hotels for illicit affairs—the company should be renamed NTR. The people who actually do the work are instead exhausted from putting out fires every day. The overall atmosphere is full of superficial showmanship, infighting, and scheming, making you wonder whether you’re at work or participating in a reality show. Truly, what a worthwhile team culture.

Pros

Fully stocked with stationery

Cons

This company is poorly managed, and employees’ work pressure and dissatisfaction continue to intensify like inflation. First, the salary structure is inconsistent: some employees receive only a base salary, while others receive a base salary plus allowances. This has never been explained clearly, making employees feel extremely unfairly treated—much like prices rising while salaries fail to keep up, significantly increasing the pressure of daily life. Second, the overtime system is effectively a responsibility-based system. Employees must apply for overtime in advance, but most applications are rejected, while they are still expected to complete more work, invisibly increasing their workload.

The boss has very little tolerance for employees’ opinions. When employees offer different suggestions, they often encounter threats and intimidation instead of rational discussion. This management style only makes employees feel disrespected, and the work environment is becoming increasingly oppressive. If the company were truly doing well, these online rumors should not affect employee turnover, but the reality is that turnover remains high, indicating that internal problems have seriously affected employees’ satisfaction and loyalty, gradually eroding their enthusiasm and motivation at work.

Last time, I went to NEC for an interview for an IT support and maintenance position, and I would like to share my interview experience here. I hope it will be helpful to others who are interested.

Before the interview, I did a lot of preparation, including researching NEC’s history, products, services, and culture, as well as reviewing the basic knowledge and skills required for computer and IT maintenance. On the day of the interview, I arrived at the company half an hour early, and the receptionist asked me to wait in the waiting area. Soon, an interviewer came to the waiting area and introduced himself. He was the head of NEC’s IT department and was responsible for the computer and IT maintenance team. He took me to a meeting room and began the interview.

During the interview, he asked me many questions, including about my educational background, work experience, professional skills, interests and hobbies, and personal qualities. He also asked me specific questions about computer and IT maintenance, such as how to diagnose and resolve different types of computer problems, how to use NEC’s systems and tools, and how to communicate and collaborate with customers and colleagues. I tried to answer each of his questions honestly, clearly, and systematically, and gave some practical examples to support my answers. I also took the opportunity to ask him some questions I had prepared, such as the responsibilities of the position, working hours, workplace, training opportunities, and promotion opportunities. He answered each of my questions patiently and provided me with a lot of useful information.

After the interview, the interviewer told me that they would notify me of the result within two weeks. Overall, I felt that the interview helped me gain a better understanding of NEC and the position.

Cons

The interviewer had a good attitude, and there was nothing worth criticizing.

I previously interviewed at NEC for an IT maintenance position and would like to share my interview experience here.

He also gave me a cookie with a package sticker that read “NEC Way Day 124th Birthday.” It turned out that it was the day NEC was celebrating its 124th anniversary. It was very special and showed how thoughtful the company and the manager were.

He patiently answered every question and provided me with a lot of useful information.

After the interview that day, the interviewer told me that they would notify me of the result within two weeks. Overall, I felt that the interview went smoothly and was very rewarding. I demonstrated my professional abilities and personal qualities, and I also learned more about NEC and the position. At the time, I hoped that I would get the job and become a member of NEC.

Although I was not hired in the end, I still gained a lot of valuable experience.

Cons

Other than feeling a little nervous because it is a large company, there were no real drawbacks.

I recently started thinking about changing jobs, so I discussed work-related matters with my friends and asked which company would be a good choice!

I searched online for rankings of major companies and came across one called “NEC Taiwan Ltd.”

So I immediately looked up the company on 104 and checked out its job openings. I found a position:

Information Services – Equipment Staff (Leave Replacement/One-Year Contract)

I was very interested in this position. The work was quite similar to what I do now, and the salary was also higher than my current one, so I immediately submitted my résumé. I received a response after two days, which was pretty fast! (At the time, I noticed that there were quite a lot of applicants. If you’ve used 104 before, you’ll know that you can check the approximate number of applicants next to the listing!)

I was invited to an interview on Wednesday. I arrived at the interview location at 9:45 a.m. When I went in for the interview and the interviewer arrived, they looked very professional, and the atmosphere felt slightly different from an ordinary interview. Maybe it was because I had never interviewed at a large company before—this was my first time—so I was very nervous!

I nervously stood up and handed the résumé I had brought to the interviewer. The interviewer politely reached out to take it and said thank you, then asked me to have a seat.

I was both surprised and flattered. After asking me a few questions, the interviewer requested that I introduce myself. I knew this was a step in the interview process at every company!

But everything seemed quite normal. I was so nervous during my self-introduction that I stuttered a little, but the interviewer’s response and attitude made me feel comfortable! I thought to myself: Even if I don’t get the job, at least I have a good impression of this company. If my friends or acquaintances ask me about it in the future, I would even recommend the company to them!

Before the interview ended, the interviewer told me that the hiring decision would be communicated within two weeks; if I didn’t hear back by then, it would mean I wasn’t selected.

I’m quite grateful that I encountered such a good interviewer, which also had a positive effect on my overall mood. I hope I get the job!

If I’m hired, I’ll share the news with you all~~ That’s all for now! I also wish you success in your job search.

Cons

None. I’m very grateful to the interviewer.

Recently, I wanted to change jobs. My previous company’s salary was average, but the benefits were poor, so I went on 104 to look for work. Coincidentally, an advertisement for a large company, "NEC_Taiwan NEC Corporation," popped up on 104. My girlfriend told me to click on it and take a look, so we looked at it together. The benefits really were quite good. It listed:

There are various rewards: Value Contribution Award / Outstanding Employee Recognition …

There are also gift vouchers for the three major holidays / wedding bonuses / childbirth bonuses / travel subsidies.

Leave policy: In accordance with the Labor Standards Act, new employees are entitled to 8 days of annual leave on a prorated basis after completing three months of employment (passing the probationary period); employees can take birthday leave on their birthday; government-announced makeup workdays can be exchanged for days off, and so on.

The company also provides free coffee, tea bags, and snacks.

Employee activities: hiking, movie appreciation, and year-end banquet.

Other benefits: When additional professional psychological assistance is needed, the company also provides support.

My girlfriend said, “Choose this one!” So she took the mouse and helped me submit my application for the Information Services_Customer Service Engineer position!

As a result, I received an interview invitation the next day, scheduling me for an interview on Wednesday.

When I went for the interview this Wednesday, I arrived near the interview location at around 9:00 and leisurely had breakfast. The interview was at 10:00, and after finishing breakfast at 9:40, I went in early to exchange my ID badge and wait. After all, I didn’t want to be late or rush around for a large company!

It turned out that many people were exchanging badges for interviews, so fortunately I arrived early! The receptionist handling the badge exchange was very friendly, gentle, and quite pretty too XD. After exchanging my badge, I sat there and waited.

There were a lot of people. Then, as soon as it reached 10:00, my name was called first. I never expected to be the first interviewee! The interviewer was very friendly, invited me to sit down, and began the interview. I was able to answer all the questions. After all, I have a background in information security. Throughout the interview, I felt that the interviewer communicated quite well, and the questions did not make me uncomfortable. I could also accept the salary range. Before I left, the interviewer thoughtfully told me that if I was selected, I would be notified within two weeks; if I did not receive a notification within two weeks, it would mean I had not been selected.

During the interview, I asked about the company’s benefits. Although they were listed on the website, I’m particular about details and am accustomed to confirming the benefits with the interviewer again. The interviewer patiently explained everything and was not impatient at all! My personal impression was quite positive! Therefore, I believe that if I am hired by this company, it should be great! After all, the company environment is good, and the people seem easy to get along with! A good interviewer affects whether I want to join a company. I would like to recommend that anyone looking for a company with good benefits and who has the ability should go interview at "NEC_Taiwan NEC Corporation"! I think this company’s benefits are excellent! I hope I get the job!

Cons

There are too many interviewees, which will affect my chances of being hired @3@

Last Wednesday, I received an interview invitation on 104 from “NEC Taiwan Ltd.” for the position of Project Management Office—Business Support Specialist. I had applied the previous Monday.

I saw that the interview was scheduled for this Monday, so I organized my résumé documents over the weekend and researched the company’s history to do a little homework. I went there with a sense of anticipation—after all, it’s a large company!

This Monday, I went to Taipei for the interview. The interviewer appeared very professional and spoke very clearly and logically. This made me feel that the interviewer lived up to my positive impression of the company.

I have often interviewed with large companies in the past, but some interviewers were frequently overwhelmed by my questions. That would lower my opinion of those companies.

To me, an interview is one thing; whether I can join the company is another. However, an interviewer’s professionalism also affects my evaluation of the company. I think I have strong abilities because I hold myself to very high standards.

If interviewers at a large company are poor at handling questions and interactions, I won’t consider including that company in my life.

As for NEC’s interviewer, both the questions and the responses throughout the interview made me feel comfortable!

As for the job duties, I think whether they are suitable depends on each person’s abilities and circumstances.

I felt that the duties they described matched my abilities and were also what I wanted. Their employee benefits were exciting as well!

The interviewer told me that they would notify me within two weeks. If I don’t receive any notification within two weeks, it means I was not selected.

If I am hired and start working there, I’ll share more about the work environment with you!

That’s my personal impression after the interview so far. I hope it can be helpful to you!

I recently applied to NEC Taiwan Ltd. for a one-year contract part-time position in finance.

Because I attend night school, my home is near Taipei’s Songjiang Nanjing Station, and the company is not far from my home. I’m currently studying, and it’s rare to see a large company hiring part-time workers, so I decided to give it a try!

The interview was at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 18. I arrived 20 minutes early, so I first went to the NEC reception desk to exchange my identification card.

I was extremely nervous >"<~~~ But when the time came, I went in!!

The interviewer was a very poised, kind, and approachable person. Since I haven’t entered the workforce yet, the interviewer asked about my background, school, extracurricular activities, personal interests, and whether I had any work experience!

I told the interviewer about my background, school, personal interests, and my experience working part-time at a convenience store.

I study in the Department of Finance at National Taiwan University, and I’m going to be a sophomore after the summer break.

The interviewer was very friendly and shared their own experience, as well as explaining the duties involved in the position I was interviewing for. They also proactively told me about the company’s benefits. I felt that the entire interview process was quite comfortable!

They said that if I received a phone call within two weeks, it would mean I had been hired; if not, I hadn’t been selected. As it turned out, I was hired last Friday.

I started work this Monday, and everything has been going smoothly. It turns out that the interviewer from that day is actually my supervisor XD~~~

Since I’m still learning about finance, I’ve been following my supervisor around.

On Tuesday, we even went to the NEC Excellence Center to attend a meeting with the manager there.

Oh my gosh!! The work environment there is truly beautiful~ I love it so much.

I really feel incredibly lucky to be able to work and learn at such a wonderful company, even though I’m currently only a part-time worker.

But I hope I can continue working here for a long time.

I wanted to share my experience so far with you all. If you have the ability, you really shouldn’t miss out on a good company.

The day before yesterday, I interviewed at NEC for a position in online marketing, and I wanted to share my interview experience here. I hope it will be helpful to others who are interested.

Before the interview, I did a lot of preparation, including researching NEC’s history, products, services, and culture, as well as reviewing the basic knowledge and skills required for online marketing. On the day of the interview, I arrived at the company half an hour early, and the receptionist asked me to wait in the waiting area. After about 10 minutes, an interviewer came over and introduced himself. We then began talking about my experience, and the conversation was quite pleasant. I unexpectedly discovered that the interviewer and I had both returned from Australia. Before I left, he even gave me a packet of cookies. The packaging sticker said, “NEC Way Day 124th Birthday.” It turned out that the day before was NEC’s 124th anniversary celebration. How special—was he especially friendly toward me because we had both returned from Australia? XD He said they would notify me again in two weeks, so I’ll wait and see!

Cons

I thought the conversation was generally quite good; the only issue was that the interview was a little long. My interviewer was also pretty good at talking. The only drawback was that the interviewer wasn’t handsome enough XD

I have always been very interested in working for NEC. This time, I wanted to apply for the System Analyst position.

On the day of the interview at NEC, the office was very bright and clean, with a distinctly Japanese style.

During the interview, the interviewer was very polite and asked me some basic questions about system analysis knowledge and skills,

such as how to conduct requirements analysis, design specifications, and testing plans. I was able to answer fairly smoothly,

and the interviewer also gave me positive feedback. I was also asked to draw a simple system architecture diagram on a whiteboard

and explain its functions and processes. I felt this was a great opportunity

to demonstrate my logical thinking and communication skills.

After the interview, I felt very satisfied and was also very much looking forward to joining the team at NEC Taiwan Ltd. I believe that this company has not only excellent products and services, but also a strong corporate culture and promising prospects for development. I believe that if I were able to become a member of the company, I would be able to learn a great deal of valuable knowledge and experience while creating more value for the company.

I was very happy to have the opportunity to interview for a position in NEC’s digital marketing department, as it has always been my dream job.

I have a strong interest in and passion for digital marketing, as well as considerable practical experience and creativity.

The interview was with the Chief Digital Officer. They were very friendly and relatively young.

The self-introduction is the best opportunity to showcase yourself, so everyone should make the most of it.

Before the interview, I thought about which specific experiences from my past could help me stand out in this interview.

I therefore also explained how I had built products in the past and shared my thoughts on various proposals. The interviewer responded very positively, and we had a great conversation.

I believe digital marketing is not just about promoting products or services; it is also about creating a connection and building trust with customers. I hope this interview will lead to me successfully joining NEC’s digital marketing team, and I also appreciate the company for giving me this opportunity.

After I posted my résumé on 104, someone from NEC’s HR department proactively contacted me, and the first-round interview was conducted online. The interviewer was a PM from one of the teams. He appeared quite refined and was around 35 years old.

He told me that they were currently rushing to launch a project and needed someone with front-end engineering experience to help review the interface. Since I had worked on similar projects in e-commerce, they invited me to interview and discuss the opportunity.

During the interview, I realized that the manager was also technically knowledgeable, which reassured me considerably.

What I fear most is working with a PM who doesn’t understand technology, because communication can become difficult. The manager introduced me to the company’s working environment. They are stationed at client sites, so they expect everyone to have a customer-service mindset and good communication skills. When it comes to clients’ needs, it is not about accepting every request without question; rather, you need to be able to understand them and assess whether you can deliver what is required.

If I got the position, I think I would be quite happy. I would be able to apply my professional skills while also learning how larger projects are carried out. Overall, the interview experience was pretty good.

Cons

Nothing in particular comes to mind.

The position I applied for was Digital UI/UX Programmer. From submitting my résumé to ultimately receiving the job offer, the entire process was very smooth and enjoyable~

The office is very bright and clean, and the environment feels just like a startup, which made me feel relaxed. It was nothing like the serious impression I previously had of Japanese companies XD

During the first-round interview, I had an in-depth conversation with the architect and the Chief Innovation Officer, followed by a second-round interview and an in-depth discussion with the Chief Digital Officer. The managers were young, talkative, and easy to get along with.

The manager introduced me to their digital innovation services group and explained that this was the first UI/UX position they had recruited for, as well as the company’s plans and expectations for the role. They asked me to share UI interfaces I had designed before. I had prepared a portfolio presentation and shared real examples from my past projects.

The managers asked highly professional follow-up questions about design details and gave me a great deal of encouragement and affirmation. It was clear that they placed great value on professionals with strong expertise.

The entire interview process went very smoothly. The company’s HR training team and the managers’ professionalism and friendly attitude made me feel very comfortable~

Pros

The interview was held on Nanjing East Road, and I was deeply impressed by the office’s strong Japanese aesthetic. Also, the receptionist at the front desk was extremely elegant (a slight tangent), and the reception staff were very friendly.

NEC’s HR department uses a BP model. The head of HR gave me a very approachable impression, and they asked many questions about my background, skills, passion for the work, and expectations. This gave me an opportunity to showcase myself and understand whether I was a good fit for the position.

Secondly, I found that NEC places great importance on communication and teamwork skills. The interviewer asked how I collaborate with others, how I would resolve incidents if they occurred, and how I communicate with other people. I reported to them based on my experience handling projects in the past.

After introducing the company’s products and the job responsibilities, the head of HR also mentioned that this position would primarily focus on planning employee-relations activities and projects in the future. I hope I’ll have the opportunity to advance to the second round and interview with the general manager!

Cons

There weren’t many drawbacks. The only one was that the interview was relatively long, as I had to prepare quite a lot of materials and discuss them with the interviewer.

People are very friendly, pay attention to epidemic prevention, and respect professional expertise.

The interviewer in the first round was the Chief Digital Officer. The CDO seemed quite nice and young. The interview lasted about one hour in total. I felt that the self-introduction was the best opportunity to showcase myself and attract the manager’s attention.

There were no major issues communicating with the CDO, and they were very courteous. I felt that NEC put a lot of effort into this and continued to interact and communicate with us within safe limits despite the pandemic.

Before the interview, I reflected on which specific events from my past experiences would be most advantageous to discuss. I also introduced how I had built an entirely new product from 0 to 1 in the past. The other party responded very positively, and we had a great conversation.

During the interview, the manager introduced me to NEC’s renowned Center of Excellence, which is essentially their Demo Center. It features many of their technology applications, such as biometric identification. Many salespeople bring clients there to visit and experience the technologies.

Cons

The company is located in Nanjing, which is somewhat far from where I originally lived.

I interviewed for a position at the Server R&D Center, located in the Nangang Software Park. The office has floor-to-ceiling windows and gets plenty of natural light.

The interview was conducted in Japanese (Japanese proficiency is required). I’m personally very interested in Japanese and have obtained N1 certification, so when I applied, I thought it would be a good opportunity to practice my speaking skills.

After speaking with the supervisor, I found the position quite interesting. The main responsibilities involve project management for server development. Since I had worked in a similar position before and found it very rewarding, the supervisor and I talked about this aspect for quite a while.

According to the supervisor, the products are mainly sold to Japanese customers. They also proudly mentioned that Japanese people like to use domestic products (from Japanese companies), and specifically request NEC products.

I was a little worried after seeing what everyone else had said, but my actual experience at the site was quite positive. As expected, some things can only be understood after experiencing them yourself.

The supervisor gave me a very good impression during the interview. In addition to asking appropriate questions, they also listened attentively as I expressed my thoughts and offered some guidance regarding my career plans. Overall, I had a very positive impression.

After the interview, I received a call from HR informing me that the next round of interviews would take place after the Lunar New Year. If I’m hired, I’ll come back and update everyone~

The interview process felt quite positive. Because of my family circumstances, they asked about my average finishing time in advance, and the supervisor was very understanding. Even when seeing me downstairs at the end of the interview, they continued to reassure me. Although I’m not sure what it would actually be like, both the department supervisor and HR made me feel that the interviewee was treated with respect.

Cons

The salary and benefits package is comprehensive, but ultimately, for practical reasons, I accepted an offer for another type of position. However, if you want to enhance your experience, you may want to consider it, since the projects for the Bureau of Labor Insurance are indeed quite large in scale.

The interview process in Taipei was ordinary, with no particularly impolite incidents.

Full-time positions require passing three rounds of interviews.

Contract positions require two rounds of interviews.

The salary is average.

Maintenance engineers need to be on call, but having a company vehicle is fairly acceptable.

For the final HR round, it is recommended to demonstrate ambition.

Cons

Contract employees seem to have difficulty being promoted to full-time positions.

Even when positions become available, instead of promoting contract employees first, the company hires externally.

I went for an interview there before, and the interviewer was extremely rude. I handed him my résumé with both hands, but after the interview, he threw it back at me. Throughout the entire interview, he did everything he could to humiliate me. Even though I endured it all, he kept pushing my limits. In the end, because I didn’t want to continue, I simply said that I had no questions. I hadn’t even walked out the door yet when he said directly to the woman in the office, “This person isn’t suitable!”

It was completely inexplicable. The guy was seriously sick!
