I recently started thinking about changing jobs, so I discussed work-related matters with my friends and asked which company would be a good choice!
I searched online for rankings of major companies and came across one called “NEC Taiwan Ltd.”
So I immediately looked up the company on 104 and checked out its job openings. I found a position:
Information Services – Equipment Staff (Leave Replacement/One-Year Contract)
I was very interested in this position. The work was quite similar to what I do now, and the salary was also higher than my current one, so I immediately submitted my résumé. I received a response after two days, which was pretty fast! (At the time, I noticed that there were quite a lot of applicants. If you’ve used 104 before, you’ll know that you can check the approximate number of applicants next to the listing!)
I was invited to an interview on Wednesday. I arrived at the interview location at 9:45 a.m. When I went in for the interview and the interviewer arrived, they looked very professional, and the atmosphere felt slightly different from an ordinary interview. Maybe it was because I had never interviewed at a large company before—this was my first time—so I was very nervous!
I nervously stood up and handed the résumé I had brought to the interviewer. The interviewer politely reached out to take it and said thank you, then asked me to have a seat.
I was both surprised and flattered. After asking me a few questions, the interviewer requested that I introduce myself. I knew this was a step in the interview process at every company!
But everything seemed quite normal. I was so nervous during my self-introduction that I stuttered a little, but the interviewer’s response and attitude made me feel comfortable! I thought to myself: Even if I don’t get the job, at least I have a good impression of this company. If my friends or acquaintances ask me about it in the future, I would even recommend the company to them!
Before the interview ended, the interviewer told me that the hiring decision would be communicated within two weeks; if I didn’t hear back by then, it would mean I wasn’t selected.
I’m quite grateful that I encountered such a good interviewer, which also had a positive effect on my overall mood. I hope I get the job!
If I’m hired, I’ll share the news with you all~~ That’s all for now! I also wish you success in your job search.
None. I’m very grateful to the interviewer.
