Does everyone still remember? Throwing baseballs at a nine-square grid in Sanchong, using 250,000 to have AI help me buy stocks! Will the stocks picked by ChatGPT make money?

Buying stocks based on the numbers landed on—the results of the project all made money.

Keep your voice down; this was the hoped-for result: one-click liquidation of listed and OTC stocks 1111TW, 7777TW, 9999TW.

But in 2022, the speed of the global market crash was truly terrifying, so I never had the courage to carry out this project.

Mom, that’s how it is, so you can’t blame me. I remember it was supposed to be a company that transformed financial services, not the super high-flyer of 2020. Oh no, the game has stopped airing.

Please, just watch quietly from now on, okay? Everything has been bought. The tension in my mood will protect itself like a ghost. Let’s go, market—beat the market in two weeks, or turn to powder.

The literary master tells you: the world’s largest electronics contract manufacturer’s three-point Fakenews ball, the biggest Toys “R” Us chip design and assembly. Within the next two weeks, you’ll be squeezed, squeezed, squeezed out of the market,

Supervisor: I’m not interested in disciplining the seeds inside; I’m running away immediately.

Administration: We’ll enter this review stage in a moment. Here, I’d like to try AC Large’s stock selection—it’s more thrilling than a game. I’ll disconnect the internet and run away in a moment.

PR: Overall, if we go by the closing price, it was still down 1.57%. What a PR disaster—even Grandma couldn’t teach you. Short-term uncertainty is indeed quite high. Run away quickly.

The written aptitude test was very easy, the interview was relaxed, and my colleagues all looked quite young.

Cons

Technologically conservative; the senior manager in charge of derivatives only knows how to haggle over the price and only wants to use my previous salary to decide how much to offer.

Pros

A large company—it sounds impressive when you say it out loud, right? If you’re just starting your career, you could go there to gain experience, then change jobs once you’ve built up some experience... You deserve better.

Cons

I recommend not going to the Songshan District location. The female manager who conducted the interview was extremely arrogant and looked down on job seekers. The only thing new about the company is the building; its internal culture and rules are extremely outdated and rigid.

1. The atmosphere surrounding the government’s active promotion of the Personal Data Protection Act apparently hasn’t reached your company—or perhaps it’s because you’re part of a large group: ordinary people are treated as insignificant, and you aren’t afraid of anything at all. During the interview, the company forcibly required applicants who had not yet joined the company to fill out a full four to five pages of job-application information, and was extremely insistent, repeatedly telling them that everything had to be filled out clearly! You couldn’t leave anything blank! (The information included salaries from previous positions, employment and departure dates, and various other personal details.) If you didn’t fill it out, the late female interview manager would glare at you and demand, “Why didn’t you write it!?” (I had already said I would only fill in the information from the job bank, but received a hostile response. Obedience training starts at the interview. Please have the company’s HR department coordinate internally instead of taking advantage of being a large group to bully job seekers.)

2. You arrive for the interview on time, but the interviewer makes you wait at least 30 minutes. You aren’t allowed to question her; only she is allowed to glare at you.

3. The office is extremely cramped, and the partitions between employees’ workstations are very low, so there is no privacy. Perhaps this is how large companies manage their workhorses.

4. Even if you are only applying for an administrative position, you must know everything under the sun; knowing only about the financial industry isn’t enough. Because there is a test.

5. Large group = countless bosses behind the scenes. For a little person like you to join the company, several people have to review your application before they finally decide whether to hire you. But the salary is not enough to compensate job seekers for the cost of going through such a tedious process.

6. If you still don’t believe me, I suggest taking a trip there and experiencing what it feels like to be treated as less than human, as well as experiencing how others look down their noses at you. You can feel the tense internal culture as soon as you walk in, and the way interviewees are treated is extremely casual, disrespectful, and unfriendly. (In a workplace that disrespects interviewees, I don’t believe the local workplace culture and atmosphere will be much better.)

7. Compared with other securities firms, the benefits and salary are no better.

8. They work in the securities industry, yet you often hear about them being hacked and harming users. With the amount of money the company makes, it shouldn’t be difficult to repair and update the system, right?

So, if the money you earn is spent neither on employee salaries and benefits nor returned to customers, where is it going?

9. Stingy. The interview instructions require you to bring your own pen; they aren’t even willing to lend you one.

The above is my personal experience, for anyone who sees it as a reference. If you’re considering joining, I strongly advise you to think very carefully—very carefully.

Teacher SOL is entirely fictional; investing involves risks.

Cons

I am Teacher Wang X Hong. During the day, I analyze candlestick charts; at night, I study the human heart.

Only later did I understand that what truly keeps soaring

is never the stock, but people’s fantasies about relationships.

The market needs capital, businesses need traffic, traffic needs stories,

and stories need relationships between men and women.

A little concern,

is like secretly increasing one’s holdings.

A word of praise,

is like sending out positive news in advance.

Feelings do not need to be cultivated every day;

just let the market ferment on its own.

The experts all know

that the greatest source of leverage is not principal,

but patience and imagination.

The courses continue as usual,

the gatherings continue as usual,

everyone says they are learning about investment,

but in reality it is more like learning to wait for a reply.

The most interesting thing is that

everyone believes

they are the one and only VIP,

when in fact everyone is merely a page in the script.

for bringing this

amazing 2 toys

for Angelo.

In fact, to expand a business,

students are like different holdings.

Sherry, kiki, Jaelin,

each name has a different positioning.

Some are suitable for holding long-term,

some are only for short-term viewing,

some are still outside the take-profit point,

continuing to wait for the next word of concern.

I just smile,

nod occasionally,

“You’ve improved a lot lately.”

The market immediately sees a surge in trading volume.

Making good use of relationships between men and women

became the leverage for expanding the business.

Popularity kept breaking through previous highs,

and fame kept pushing toward the Big Dome.

Some burn incense and pray to Buddha,

some believe in fate,

some believe in a single sentence from the teacher,

and in the end, all believe in their own expectations.

It turns out that the truly sophisticated operation

is not to keep chasing highs,

but to make everyone believe

that they just happened to be specially noticed.

Investing emphasizes compound interest,

and relationships do too.

Accumulate a little expectation every day,

and eventually it piles up into enormous value.

As the story becomes more and more complete,

popularity grows larger and larger,

the business expands further and further,

and affection is merely the cheapest marketing cost.

You should go buy a caramel macchiato to chat with the delivery driver.

Wang JiaX sat in an air-conditioned room, drinking a free bubble tea.

The drink was something a colleague brought for everyone after getting their “leave request” approved.

But in Wang JiaX’s story, this large bubble tea became “a token of gratitude from a student after earning a small amount of money.”

He took a sip of the tapioca pearls and revealed the wise smile of an investment mentor. To Wang JiaX, everything can be transformed into nourishment for his business.

What he is best at is “switching concepts” and “profiting from respected mentors.” As it happens, this week marks the first anniversary of Teacher Sol’s death.

Wang JiaX keenly sensed a business opportunity and posted in the fan group:

“Dearly beloved Teacher Sol, it has already been a year since you left us. During this time,

I still often think of Teacher Sol’s presence and the things he said. For many newcomers to Taiwan’s Salsa scene,

they may never have met Teacher Sol and have only heard that he was the teacher of teachers, or a dancer of grandmaster level, so they know very little about him.

This Friday, everyone is welcome to join Teacher Sol’s online memorial! We have invited Teacher Vera from Dancer Island

to introduce Teacher Sol’s pioneering journey in Taiwan, which is essentially an important part of the development of Taiwan’s Salsa scene.

You will become more integrated into the big family of Taiwan’s Salsa scene! In addition, we will invite senior members of the scene

to share amusing stories about Teacher Sol, the inspiration he once gave them, and the care he showed them.” After posting,

he immediately attached a link to his stock-investing course below: “After hearing the inspiration from these seniors,

you’ll understand why you need financial freedom! Turning other people’s praise and remembrance of a respected mentor into a perfect part of my business.”

Wang JiaX not only exploits the deceased; he is also skilled at cultivating an approachable public image. Some time ago, he went for an eye exam

and immediately posted a philosophical piece of drivel: “I felt that my eyesight was strange before, so I went to get it checked. Optometrist: Sir,

do you normally use glasses? Me: I’ve never been nearsighted since I was little,

so I’ve never worn them. Optometrist: Then you probably haven’t seen the world clearly for a long time. I laughed and said:

I guess so. Inner monologue: Are you an optometrist or a fortune-teller?” To prove that he is busy every day,

he always takes Uber when he goes out. But his recent medical checkup results were over the limit, so he was forced to begin “weight loss and strength training.”

His “walking exercise” is very different: he takes Uber to the gym entrance, gets out, walks the final fifty meters,

and presses start on his watch. He goes into the strength-training area, takes a photo with two-kilogram dumbbells, and then walks for five minutes.

He posts, claiming: “Discipline means walking and strength training every day to lose weight!” One day, a recently discharged “soldier” came to him because of his reputation.

The soldier took out the “small amount of money” he had painstakingly saved and sincerely asked for advice. As it happened, vegetable prices had skyrocketed in those days,

and Wang JiaX was furiously ranting about it: “What the heck! It was NT$24 a pack last year, and 3.3 times that this year. Why buy stocks?

You might as well buy chrysanthemum greens options.” So he used a master-level conceptual switch on the soldier: “Kid,

investing is about looking at trends, just like this: 【Kenta Kobashi Taiwan Fan Meeting and Seminar】

The legendary match-maker who topped the Japan Pro Wrestling Awards’ Best Match of the Year rankings for many years during his active career;

the undisputed king who returned to the ring after battling cancer and undergoing countless surgeries for injuries;

the man who continues to bring us endless hope, passion, and inspiration: ‘The Iron Man’ Kenta Kobashi.

The Taiwan fan meeting and seminar will take place on August 29. The event will include an autograph session,

a photo session, and a seminar (topic to be decided). Details will be announced soon. To ensure the quality of the event,

the seminar will be limited in attendance, and there will be no group photos, individual photos, or autographs after the seminar.”

The soldier froze and asked, “Teacher, what does this have to do with my small amount of money?” Wang JiaX patted him: “That’s called scarcity!

Just like my stock-investing course, which also has limited enrollment! Sign up now and I’ll give you the bubble tea you just had!”

The soldier was fooled into handing over the money on the spot, treating the bubble tea as the master’s endorsement. That night, Wang JiaX went abroad on vacation

and video-called his son: “Angelo: Dad, where are you? Me: I’m here,

it’s really boring here, there’s nothing fun at all. Angelo:

Did you have ice cream? Me: No,

there’s no one selling ice cream here. Afraid that he would cry if he missed out,

I had no choice but to say that 🤣” After hanging up, Wang JiaX ate ice cream,

and his change of mindset was an immense success. Switching concepts, profiting from respected mentors,

and packaging bubble tea as a business—this is the secret to his success as a top stock-investing mentor.

A doctor named Calvin, while attending a large charity concert, noticed that the organizers had issued a structured warrant on an asset called “sports coins.” The doctor usually studies financial engineering. During a break in the concert, he sat in the audience and used a notebook and ballpoint pen to derive the warrant’s theoretical value and hedging parameters, planning to donate a fixed proportion of the warrant’s future proceeds to a rural medical care fund.

The warrant’s core design is as follows:

The warrant is a European call warrant with no dividends.

Warrant expiration: T = 1 year

Current price of the underlying asset (sports coins): S0 = 120

Strike price: K = 110

Risk-free interest rate (continuously compounded): r = 3%

Annualized volatility: σ = 25%

Warrant conversion ratio: α = 0.2

In addition, the warrant includes a “donation clause”:

If the warrant is in the money at expiration, the warrant holder must immediately donate 10% of the warrant’s intrinsic value at expiration. However, the donated amount does not affect the price of the underlying asset or market dynamics, and a credit card may be used.

The doctor assumes that this donation clause can be treated as a linear reduction in the cash flow at expiration, and therefore expresses the warrant’s expiration payoff as:

Payoff = 0.9 × α × max(ST − K, 0)

Under the risk-neutral probability measure, the doctor writes the following pricing equation:

C = 0.9 × α [ S0 N(d1) − K e^(−rT) N(d2) ]

where

d1 = [ ln(S0 / K) + ( r + 0.5 σ^2 ) T ] / ( σ √T )

d2 = d1 − σ √T

After completing the pricing, the doctor further calculates in his notebook the warrant’s first-order sensitivity to the price of sports coins (Delta), and considers how to dynamically hedge it so that market fluctuations after the concert ends will not affect the final amount available for donation.

Which of the following options is closest to “the combination of the warrant’s theoretical price and Delta”?

A. Warrant price approximately 1.85, Delta approximately 0.09

B. Warrant price approximately 2.40, Delta approximately 0.12

C. Warrant price approximately 3.10, Delta approximately 0.18

D. Warrant price approximately 3.95, Delta approximately 0.22

“Determining the Extreme Value of the Cross-Period Net Economic Utility at Year-End Settlement, Including Cookie Consumption”

An investor conducted a year-end settlement in 2024 and adopted the following criteria as the evaluation standard:

Year-end settlement objective function =

Financial book profit and loss

Foreign-exchange effects

− Present-value expenditures for life events

− Monetary equivalent of utility losses

± Marginal-utility adjustment for cookie consumption

I. Financial Positions (Full Calculation Required)

(I) Futures

The investor holds 2 long Taiwan Stock Index Futures contracts

Contract multiplier: 200

Opening index: 15,750

Year-end settlement index: 16,180

Margin as a percentage of notional value: 12%

Annualized funding cost: 3.5%

The opportunity cost of margin is calculated using continuous compounding

(II) Warrants (Underlying Asset Without Dividends)

European call warrant

Current underlying-asset price: 102

Strike price: 100

Time to expiration: 1 year

No dividends

Risk-free interest rate: 2% (continuously compounded)

Volatility: 28%

Recognized at year-end using the Black–Scholes theoretical price

The number of warrants is configured so that Delta is not 0 (not Delta-neutral)

(III) Currency Position

At the beginning of the year, 120,000 USD was purchased at 29.8 TWD/USD

Year-end exchange rate: 31.4

No interest accrued throughout the year

Foreign-exchange profit or loss must be adjusted for an inflation rate of 1.5%

II. Life Events (Included in the Year-End Settlement After Discounting)

(I) Marriage

Married mid-year

One-time expenditure: 1,350,000 TWD

Psychological discount rate: 3%

(II) Having a Child

Born at year-end

Expected expenditure period: 22 years

Real annual expenditure: 320,000 TWD

Expenditure growth rate: 1%

Discount rate: 2%

(III) Loss of Life Utility

Caused by investment and work-related stress

Insufficient sleep: utility loss equivalent to 90,000 TWD

Fewer movie outings: utility loss of 45,000 TWD

Fewer all-you-can-eat meals: utility loss of 35,000 TWD

III. Cookies (Core Difficulty)

The investor consumed a total of 480 cookies during the year

Price per cookie: 35 TWD

Cookies are a form of immediate-pleasure consumption

The marginal utility function of cookies is:

Marginal utility = 1200 / square root of n

where n is the cumulative number of cookies already consumed

When marginal utility is less than 35, that portion of consumption is regarded as overconsumption

The utility corresponding to overconsumption must be included

The utility loss multiplied by a penalty coefficient of 0.6 is used as the year-end settlement adjustment item

IV. Question

After fully incorporating all financial profits and losses, foreign-exchange adjustments, the present value of life events, utility losses, and the marginal-utility adjustment for cookies, which of the following is closest to the investor’s “adjusted net economic effect after year-end settlement” for 2024?

Options (only one correct)

A. Positive 2,800,000 TWD

Financial operations were highly successful, and cookie consumption remained within the range of rational consumption

B. Positive 1,050,000 TWD

Financial gains were substantial, but having a child and cookie consumption significantly eroded the results

C. Negative 650,000 TWD

There was a book profit, but the year-end settlement showed a substantive loss

D. Negative 2,300,000 TWD

Highly leveraged financial operations, long-term life expenditures, and excessive cookie consumption caused the overall economic situation to deteriorate

Although learning can be stressful and uncomfortable, like having itchy and sore feet, the knowledge in each unit is worth the effort. Mom and Dad are too tired, working overtime every day, so they cannot always be there for you. But the notes you take and the effort you put in will eventually earn applause and encouragement.

Cons

One day, a son asked his father about planning to use a total of $900,000, investing it in installments in two stocks:

New Stock A (growth-oriented): The expected annual return is 12%, but it is highly volatile. The projected return can only potentially be achieved if the investment is held in full for 6 months after each installment.

Old Stock B (value-oriented): The expected annual return is 6% and it is more stable. After each installment, it only needs to be held for 3 months to achieve its expected return.

The investor plans to invest in installments as follows:

Invest $90,000 each month for 10 consecutive months.

Assume that after each installment, the funds realize the stock's return in a lump sum at the end of the specified holding period, and cannot be used before the return is realized.

If the investor invests in New Stock A in odd-numbered months and Old Stock B in even-numbered months, and settles all returns at the beginning of the 12th month, which option is closest to the estimated total rate of return?

(A) 7.0%

(B) 7.8%

(C) 8.5%

(D) 9.2%

WTF

The company seems to only employ people who do nothing productive, yet when it comes to finding answers or solving problems, there’s no one who can provide a solution.

Jason, a muscular investor, has a keen interest in the stock market and is looking to invest in warrants. He has a total of 100,000 USD to invest and is considering four different warrants: A, B, C, and D. Each warrant has distinct characteristics, including strike price, implied volatility, time value, and expected return. Here are the details:

Warrant A: Spot price = 200 USD, Strike price = 180 USD, Time value = 50 USD, Implied volatility = 20%, Expiration time = 6 months, Expected return = 12%.

Warrant B: Spot price = 150 USD, Strike price = 130 USD, Time value = 40 USD, Implied volatility = 25%, Expiration time = 9 months, Expected return = 15%.

Warrant C: Spot price = 180 USD, Strike price = 170 USD, Time value = 60 USD, Implied volatility = 18%, Expiration time = 12 months, Expected return = 10%.

Warrant D: Spot price = 250 USD, Strike price = 220 USD, Time value = 70 USD, Implied volatility = 30%, Expiration time = 3 months, Expected return = 18%.

Jason plans to buy these warrants in different amounts based on his strategy and the current market conditions. As a muscular and experienced investor, he needs to consider the best investment strategy based on different time frames and risk tolerance.

1. Jason expects significant market volatility in the next 3 months and wants to maximize short-term returns. Which warrant should Jason buy to maximize his short-term return?

(A) Warrant A

(B) Warrant B

(C) Warrant C

(D) Warrant D

2. Jason wants to achieve stable returns over the next 6 to 9 months and has a low tolerance for risk. Which warrant should he choose to meet his medium-term goals?

(A) Warrant A

(B) Warrant B

(C) Warrant C

(D) Warrant D

3. Jason believes the market will grow steadily over the next 12 months, and he wants to hold a warrant for the long term to benefit from steady returns. Which warrant would be the most suitable for long-term investment?

(A) Warrant A

(B) Warrant B

(C) Warrant C

(D) Warrant D

Tell me, who is the MVP?

Many companies often lack an in-depth understanding of warrants when choosing investment instruments, mistakenly lumping them together with other investment tools. It is like facing a burst cardboard box: if you do not choose the most suitable one, you may ultimately be unable to withstand the pressure of the market and collapse completely. Warrants are not as simple as stocks or funds. They have a leverage effect that can bring greater returns, but they also carry higher risks. If you choose the wrong underlying asset, the result may be like a damaged cardboard box, unable to support any heavy load.

Tell me, why not look into the problems with your own choice of underlying assets? Trading warrants requires accurate market predictions, and only by choosing the underlying asset with the greatest potential can you maximize their value. Just like choosing the right cardboard boxes and truck for loading goods, selecting the right underlying asset ensures stable investments and returns.

We should hold dedicated warrant seminars to help you understand how to correctly choose underlying assets and avoid missing the best investment opportunities. Do not let risks and poor decisions drag down your investments any longer. Learn to choose the optimal underlying assets to ensure success!

Sometimes you can leave work on time, around 4:30.

Cons

1. Low pay and an overwhelming amount of work; the money is all taken by upper management. Supervisors at all levels leave, whether at headquarters or branch offices. Even when there is a staff shortage, nothing is improved. Working here makes you feel hopeless about the future.

2. You have to put up with salespeople ordering you around. Even when something violates regulations, salespeople will still pressure you to do it, and the supervisors always listen to the salespeople. Supervisors and staff who cannot take it anymore resign; the unfortunate ones are those who continue working here.

The boss has deep pockets, so they can keep burning money without worrying about being unable to pay salaries.

Cons

Everyone knows it, so it doesn't need much explanation. Just like in the world of Detective Conan, observe and analyze, eliminate possibilities, and apply scientific knowledge to examine every muscle and bone of the body, always doubling the chances of solving investors' problems. Although I don't like expressing opinions casually, I always find opportunities to interject in meetings and point out that rational decision-making is the cornerstone of corporate success, but avoiding overanalysis and emotional behavior is equally important. Imagine standing in front of an ice cream shop, faced with all kinds of flavors. You need to clearly know what you want in order to make the best choice. Similarly, companies should clearly define their data needs to avoid excessive collection or analysis. Pay attention to whether the texture, sweetness, and flavor meet expectations. When conducting data analysis, companies should also carefully select metrics to ensure their rationality and reliability.

A bunch of senior managers only know how to look at reports because upper management really likes seeing good-looking numbers, but there is no in-depth training or consideration of customers’ thoughts. There is little planning for the company’s future, and the introduction and overview are still written single-handedly by new employees, with no consideration whatsoever given to positioning.

For example, the introduction to warrant products is like an environment full of uncertainty in the desert, and there is still room for improvement.

1. Design an integrated simulation test covering risk, time decay, leverage effects, and observing price movements for practice, like how insects learn to avoid danger in a desert fraught with risks.

2. Each time a class is held, a dedicated LINE group should be created to serve as the basis for attendance, while also providing personnel with a convenient channel for asking questions and retaining information.

Happy Lunar New Year

Cons

When I think of my former mentors, the days we talked together and the roads we walked together, it reflects the abuse of seniority culture here. It is truly like a ghostly corporate culture, and we do not know whether there will be more opportunities for self-improvement.

Everyone should understand the true meaning of their identity, just like the roles in a movie. We are not foreign laborers; we should know how to fulfill our responsibilities. Otherwise, everyone might as well just do whatever they want... Why open job vacancies at all?

The personnel system is not a one-person-rule culture. Do not be misled by titles and positions. If we change the names and avoid exploiting loopholes, can we still maximize the interests of both labor and management?

Suggestions

1. To truly resolve issues and problems with education and training, there should not be only one-way communication. Simply clicking a mouse is not enough; if there is a dispute, there should be a vote. Email could also be used.

2. When planning activities, avoid failing to understand the situation and getting burned before the event has even begun. Activities should be more structured, with parts that do not meet needs corrected as necessary. Establishing manuals and certificate materials would help participants clarify the details.

You hear quite a bit of news over meals.

Cons

Unless you are the son of the general manager’s friend, insurance sales is still treated as social justice, and they do not understand the true meaning of proposal planning. Decision-making can be like fortune-telling, with a pile of taboos; after listening, you immediately suffer from endocrine dysfunction.

Every day at work is a gamble! Supervisors think their own views are mainstream and often make excuses for their failures and mistakes. Enjoy your probation period and the bureaucratic training system.

They love playing imperial power politics and pitting people against one another here. I’m not playing along anymore—let’s quietly watch what you all do.

Some products and permissions are linked in far too many tedious ways. Why not integrate the memberships? Wealth management education and professional market consulting are not professional, risk assessments are not properly carried out, and they seem not to understand that you cannot have both fish and bear’s paw. This needs to be improved properly.

The interview was downright disgusting.

First, they gave me a test paper and said I could just write whatever.

Then, even though I applied for a software development engineer position, an auntie who didn't understand coding kept asking me financial questions. When I couldn't answer every question, she even told me to go home and study up? Hey, this position is for developing systems, right!?

If the technical supervisor isn't available, they can reschedule the interview with the candidate. There's no need to send some random person to waste the candidate's time. Absolutely terrible.

The company address changed, but it didn’t move too far—just nearby. We got new seats.

Cons

The atmosphere at work every day is still the same; nothing has changed. You can only say that the people at the top set the example, and those below simply follow suit.

Here, you can see what it means to become an empty shell that has lost its soul—just tools for work, going through the motions of commuting to and from work day after day.

The atmosphere of male chauvinism is considered perfectly normal. Women are treated like slaves and puppets; there seems to be no gender equality.

I haven’t yet found an opportunity to leave, so I can only continue wasting time among a bunch of empty shells.

If you're a pretty girl, you'll have a pretty comfortable time.

Cons

As the derivatives department of a publicly listed company, there is absolutely no established system for bonuses or promotions; everything is decided arbitrarily by those above. After insisting on their own views and losing money, they immediately shift the blame onto junior managers. Veteran traders who have devoted more than ten years to the company can be kicked out at any time. They openly disparage the appearance of longtime employees who diligently prepare speeches, saying that sending pretty girls to give the speeches would attract more listeners.

But if you are a pretty girl who knows how to curry favor, you can still be promoted smoothly even after three years in the department without knowing how to read a stock chart.

Working as a sales representative is relatively easy; you mainly just need to place orders and maintain relationships with clients. The salary consists of a fixed base pay, and the benefits are guaranteed.

Supervisors look after new employees and provide plenty of opportunities to learn.

Cons

1. For new employees, being a few minutes late means having to take a full hour of personal leave, which is very unreasonable.

2. When retired sales representatives’ clients are assigned to new employees, some of the former representatives are always hostile toward the newcomers. It’s not everyone, but a few of them have really awful attitudes.

3. It’s essentially a low-cost labor environment. They expect you to work overtime most of the time (without overtime pay), and when internal staff leave, new employees are asked to provide support. It’s basically impossible to handle both responsibilities, so the workload increases while the salary stays the same.

4. I helped support the back office. Most people there were quite nice, but one person had an inexplicably terrible attitude. My supervisor told me that this person was slow at opening accounts and needed support—it wasn’t as if I owed him anything. Thinking about that attitude really makes it difficult to want to continue working there.

There are quite a lot of places to eat nearby.

Cons

Before the interview, they give you a stupid written test that has absolutely nothing to do with the job, and the interview is the same. It feels like nothing more than an introduction: once they finish explaining the job, you leave. I have no idea what the evaluation criteria are. Can they tell how professional you are just by looking at your face? Amazing.

The “40,000 or more” listed on 104 is probably made up. From the conversation, you could tell that the salary would not be 40,000.

In short, even after the interview, I still had no idea what had just happened.

You have to take a bunch of strange tests and a financial knowledge test. There were two interviewers, namely the department head and the HR manager. The entire interview process was very silent.... It was obvious they weren't interested in you. I was completely confused.... At the end of the interview, they asked if I had any other questions. Without letting me ask anything, they just left....

So many drawbacks that it’s outrageous. If you’re a masochist or want to see an extraordinarily bizarre company, feel free to check it out ^^

Cons

1. The receptionist had a sour face (as if I were the one coming to interview and still owed her something).

2. Paper resumes—what era are we living in? Can’t the information be digitized? Are applicants expected to write until their hands fall off? (Anyway, after making us write so much, they still just conduct perfunctory interviews.)

3. The interviewing manager (presumably from HR) showed extreme disrespect for professional expertise and had a careless attitude. Things were fine at first, but throughout the entire interview, she never asked any decent professional questions (software development/system administration). Then, as soon as she saw my salary expectation, she bluntly said it was impossible??? WTF? Isn’t a company in Xinyi District supposed to be willing to offer a decent salary? Honestly, after hearing that, I no longer wanted to continue the interview. At the end, she asked whether I had any questions. Politely, I asked what new hires needed to prepare before joining. She then snapped that I should go home and first learn to understand things like funds. Huh? I had only come to apply for a development position in response to the interview invitation, which merely stated that the job involved developing and maintaining financial systems; it never said applicants had to be proficient in every financial product. XD Instead of having a dedicated manager assess the candidate’s core job capabilities, they just casually found someone to put applicants down. (I’ve interviewed at several large companies, and I’ve honestly never encountered a manager with such an arrogant attitude.)

I truly regret it. Even after reading the reviews here, I naively thought that maybe all those negative reviews were just isolated cases, so I went to the interview—and completely wasted my time!

I advise newcomers not to go. If they can’t even offer a decent salary in Xinyi District, why bother working there?

For experienced workers who want to pad their resumes or coast until retirement, there’s even less reason to go. They don’t respect professional expertise, and the internal culture is rigid and conventional—going there would simply be a waste of time!

Quannyi “Xinyi” Branch... very scary... If you go in, you need to be prepared to be exhausted like a dog... Work starts at 7:30 a.m.... The end of the workday is indefinitely delayed under an accountability-based system... Basically, working more than 12 hours a day is common! In addition, the supervisor (person in charge) has a short temper and gets angry easily... is passive-aggressive... distributes work and rest very unevenly... has quite poor management skills... everyone under them is suffering miserably... and they are especially discourteous even to long-serving senior employees... The supervisor (person in charge) is particularly skilled at using rhetoric to exploit people in various ways and increase the extra workload of new employees. The turnover rate is extremely high.
