So many drawbacks that it’s outrageous. If you’re a masochist or want to see an extraordinarily bizarre company, feel free to check it out ^^
1. The receptionist had a sour face (as if I were the one coming to interview and still owed her something).
2. Paper resumes—what era are we living in? Can’t the information be digitized? Are applicants expected to write until their hands fall off? (Anyway, after making us write so much, they still just conduct perfunctory interviews.)
3. The interviewing manager (presumably from HR) showed extreme disrespect for professional expertise and had a careless attitude. Things were fine at first, but throughout the entire interview, she never asked any decent professional questions (software development/system administration). Then, as soon as she saw my salary expectation, she bluntly said it was impossible??? WTF? Isn’t a company in Xinyi District supposed to be willing to offer a decent salary? Honestly, after hearing that, I no longer wanted to continue the interview. At the end, she asked whether I had any questions. Politely, I asked what new hires needed to prepare before joining. She then snapped that I should go home and first learn to understand things like funds. Huh? I had only come to apply for a development position in response to the interview invitation, which merely stated that the job involved developing and maintaining financial systems; it never said applicants had to be proficient in every financial product. XD Instead of having a dedicated manager assess the candidate’s core job capabilities, they just casually found someone to put applicants down. (I’ve interviewed at several large companies, and I’ve honestly never encountered a manager with such an arrogant attitude.)
I truly regret it. Even after reading the reviews here, I naively thought that maybe all those negative reviews were just isolated cases, so I went to the interview—and completely wasted my time!
I advise newcomers not to go. If they can’t even offer a decent salary in Xinyi District, why bother working there?
For experienced workers who want to pad their resumes or coast until retirement, there’s even less reason to go. They don’t respect professional expertise, and the internal culture is rigid and conventional—going there would simply be a waste of time!
