Pros

Many years ago, I was only there for a very short time.

I sincerely believe that one should not waste time.

If I remember correctly, the office was clean.

Cons

I don't know whether that department/manager still exists.

1. The work handover materials were a complete mess; it took a long time just to find the files.

2. Overtime could not be reported.

3. The manager seemed to need improvement in their professional expertise.

4. I confirmed the direction of the plan with the manager, but although the manager was at home, it seemed their mind was elsewhere.

When they couldn't answer, they said they were challenging their subordinate.

5. After I resigned, the manager changed company documents and even sent a message to report it.

Pros

Top executives are parachuted in from the group every 3–6 years.

During the process, factional personnel inevitably replace one another. The five gatekeepers of the Information Department—M, Y, C, A, and T—hold centralized power without technical expertise.

The only somewhat technical person, W, was forced out and resigned after being driven away by MC, leaving a trail of blood.

Employees with shorter tenures become the company’s main targets for grand promises,

but seniority is not the root of the problem. Annual raises are only 500–1,500.

They say the department’s salary-adjustment budget is limited, but A is exempt because of their popularity.

Those in power are accustomed to verbal humiliation; wanton belittling, denial, and marginalization are routinely used in annual performance-review meetings, turning the workplace into an arena for power manipulation.

Data intelligence development tends to flash brightly for a moment, then fade.

Good positions that are continuously advertised every year remain vacant month after month, while the fully staffed, cushy positions are completely occupied by MYCAT.

At present, the VP’s resistance against MYCAT continues. Before the arrival of a new era of reform next year, the situation remains turbulent and precarious!

Cons

A retirement-like life

No ambition or prospects for advancement

No new technologies to learn

Brief stay

Cons

《The Escape Garden》

In a corner of the city stands a building known as a “modern transformation base.” Outsiders always assume it is a resource-rich paradise, capable of bringing about an innovative future; many young people have even entered it carrying passion and dreams.

Yet only those who truly enter understand that it is not a paradise, but a modern-day Lanruo Temple.

Here, a powerful “Old Granny” holds absolute authority. She controls all resources, and everyone and everything must survive by attaching themselves to her will. At Granny’s side are several loyal lackeys. Skilled at flattery and ingratiation, they hold power in their hands and roam the corridors like ghosts, deciding who may stay and who should be driven out.

Granny also keeps a group of enforcers—they wear no armor and carry no weapons, but every word they speak is a blade, and every smile conceals poison. Anyone who harbors dissent is immediately manipulated and divided by them until they are isolated, helpless, and unable to recover.

A few years ago, under the banners of “digital transformation” and “system revamp,” Granny summoned a large group of newcomers full of hope. Those newcomers thought they would create the future, never realizing that this was merely a scheme to lure the gods into the urn. The enforcers exploited every opening and suppressed them, destroying them one by one. In the end, this fresh blood either collapsed and left of its own accord or was driven into becoming little more than walking corpses.

What remained was not talent, but an atmosphere of desolation and eerie strangeness.

In outsiders’ eyes, the building remains brightly lit, like a garden that never goes dark. But those who know what is really happening call it the “Escape Garden”—a place where, once you step inside, you must decide:

If you are confident in your ability to slay demons and banish evil, you may be able to make it through this labyrinth;

if not, leave quickly, because the flowers here are not peach blossoms, but flowers that claim the soul.

From time to time, people hear whispers coming from the depths of the corridors and the meeting rooms, sounding at once like arguments and laments. Some say they are the lingering resentful spirits of those newcomers, warning those who come after them—

This is not a paradise. This is Lanruo Temple.

The bullying culture in this workplace is extremely severe, particularly in the IT department. Many employees with shorter tenure become the primary targets of suppression, but the root of the problem is not seniority; it is that this place fundamentally does not respect people or value talented individuals who make any effort. Those in higher positions are accustomed to verbal humiliation, arbitrarily belittling, denying, and marginalizing others, treating the workplace as a venue for power manipulation. This is not an isolated incident but systematic, ongoing bullying that leaves people physically and mentally exhausted and unable to feel secure.

Xingbao Medical Network Co., Ltd.

Ms. C, the head of the Finance Department, is extremely emotional. Working under her requires a great deal of ingratiation: she praises the people she likes every day, while frequently making things difficult for those she dislikes. Even if your performance is excellent, she will still lower your score during the company’s semiannual evaluations, and may even forbid you from giving yourself too high a score. This is very strange—self-evaluation is supposed to be an assessment of yourself, yet you are still forced to revise it.

The company provides compensatory leave for overtime, but when you apply for it, you may also be questioned about whether you think you should be applying for it. These are just some examples of highly illogical thinking. The Finance Director has a very close relationship with a senior HR employee, so internal problems within the company cannot basically be reported to HR. HR will also disclose employees’ private information to others. Anyone considering joining this company should really think twice.

Although the company is under the Cathay Financial Holdings Group, its systems are not well established at all, and information does not circulate effectively. The only system that seems to be in place is the performance evaluation system.

Pros

Large company

Cons

The HR interviewer sent me a personal email asking me to fill in my information, along with an interview invitation through 104.

During this period, I immediately replied to the private email, informing the company that I would be unable to attend that day.

As for the interview invitation sent through 104, I also never replied to accept it. Yet, on the day the company had originally scheduled the interview with me (even though I had never agreed or replied that I would attend), I received a message from the company saying that my documents needed to be submitted immediately and that the interview manager was waiting for me. It was extremely baffling. At the time, I wondered whether they had not received my email, and I also apologized.

After I informed them through 104 messages, and following their subsequent explanations and messages, I received an immediate complaint from the company accusing me of missing a job interview. I thought, since I had never agreed to attend in the first place, how could it be considered a no-show?

I later filed an appeal and protest regarding the alleged no-show. This incident greatly affected my impression of the company. I also came to understand that the company treats applicants who neither reply to accept nor decline an invitation as though they intend to attend.

The company acts extremely self-important, so you have to be very careful when dealing with them. Fortunately, I never actually joined.

Break through the limits of life

Cons

The following are all things I dreamed about:

1. The Information and X departments are very "compatible" and often go on missions?

2. The X manager makes all kinds of "good" decisions, then says they were made by someone else or a former employee?

3. The X manager "communicates well" with contractors, so afterward you’ll feel a strong sense of "accomplishment" when communicating with vendors?

4. The X manager guides you in cross-departmental communication, then afterward you’re thoroughly educated by the other party and the X manager—am I Zhao Zilong of Changban?

5. Senior and junior colleagues have their work distributed very well?

6. So busy you’re almost driven insane?

After sleeping for a while, even a wet dream came out. Fortunately, it was all just a nightmare~

Suitable for capable people like you who enjoy challenges and breaking through limits~

Pros

1. Low monthly salary but a high year-end bonus (though it depends on the company's operating performance)

2. Free health checkups

3. Employee discounts on expensive nutritional supplements

Cons

1. The annual salary is slightly higher than that of other companies in the same industry, but when converted into an hourly wage, it will make you feel cheaper than working at a convenience store.

2. General managers are replaced more frequently than mobile phones, and the business strategy is constantly wavering.

3. The senior information executive only talks in grandiose terms, is incompatible with the managers under them, and is unable to manage their subordinates. They are extremely ingratiating and compliant toward outsourced vendors, making you wonder who is really in charge.

4. When problems arise, the senior operations executive pretends to be helpless and says, “I don’t know how,” while being exceptionally skilled at shifting responsibility. Every mistake, big or small, is blamed on subordinates.

5. The senior executives transferred in from the group constantly clash with internal staff, and upon taking office, they make everyone resentful⋯

6. There are endless meetings and presentations every day. It sounds nice to call it intellectual stimulation, but the reality is that there is no strategy or ideas whatsoever.

7. They say there is a salary adjustment every year, but once your salary exceeds the average level, your raise no longer follows the market rate⋯ it becomes pitifully small, and no matter how well you perform, it makes no difference.

9. The senior employees here are all extremely good at avoiding trouble and shirking responsibility; those who work hard and take things seriously are destined only to work themselves to exhaustion.

10. Managers use all kinds of career-development rhetoric to arrange employee rotations, then install their preferred candidates as department heads. If you are not one of their own, your future is bleak⋯

Pros

Joining a large company feels prestigious and offers basic security.

Cons

1. The interviewer in the initial interview seemed not to have looked at the candidate’s information at all, as if they were conducting a mass screening to decide who could proceed to a second interview. It felt disrespectful.

2. The first interview did not cover salary or benefits (they said everything was clearly stated on the job website). Instead, they only introduced the fact that they were part of Cathay Real Estate and explained what the job involved. It felt very much like a scripted presentation. They then asked the candidate to introduce their design work, but since this company is in the medical field, wouldn’t it be strange for me to introduce food packaging projects? I feel that even for mass screening, they should have reviewed the candidate’s information beforehand. They kept asking whether I had any other questions, which made me feel that they were not interested in me at all and that my time was being wasted. They also said that the print quality of a physical portfolio might be poor and that a digital version would be preferable.

3. The interviewer said that after interviewing everyone over the course of the week, they would submit the suitable candidates to the manager, who would then arrange the second interview. Although it is a large company with good benefits, I did not like this way of selecting candidates.

4. Overall, the interview did not feel smooth.

Pros

Cons

1. After two rounds of interviews, I waited half a month before HR emailed to inform me that I had not been selected.

2. Another half a month later, HR called again and said that the supervisor had decided to hire me. I also confirmed the salary with HR over the phone, so that same day I turned down the positions I had been certain to receive at the time, except for Cathay Health Management. However, HR called again the next day and said that the salary had been calculated incorrectly, and that whether I wanted to come or not was up to me. This showed an extreme lack of respect for the value of job applicants.

3. After I reluctantly joined, half of a six-person department had left. The digital marketing employee in the same department would also take other people’s ideas as their own, present them in other groups as ideas they had come up with, and then make suggestions to the organization. This was outright plagiarism! The supervisor saw it happen but took no action whatsoever.

4. The company’s claims of stable annual salary increases and a guaranteed year-end bonus equivalent to 14 months’ salary should be taken with a grain of salt. During the interview process, they had the nerve to say that, as a large company, they always have a very lengthy evaluation process.
