1. After two rounds of interviews, I waited half a month before HR emailed to inform me that I had not been selected.
2. Another half a month later, HR called again and said that the supervisor had decided to hire me. I also confirmed the salary with HR over the phone, so that same day I turned down the positions I had been certain to receive at the time, except for Cathay Health Management. However, HR called again the next day and said that the salary had been calculated incorrectly, and that whether I wanted to come or not was up to me. This showed an extreme lack of respect for the value of job applicants.
3. After I reluctantly joined, half of a six-person department had left. The digital marketing employee in the same department would also take other people’s ideas as their own, present them in other groups as ideas they had come up with, and then make suggestions to the organization. This was outright plagiarism! The supervisor saw it happen but took no action whatsoever.
4. The company’s claims of stable annual salary increases and a guaranteed year-end bonus equivalent to 14 months’ salary should be taken with a grain of salt. During the interview process, they had the nerve to say that, as a large company, they always have a very lengthy evaluation process.
