Pros

1. Flexible working hours: start between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. / finish between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m.

2. For overtime, you can choose either overtime pay or compensatory leave.

3. Free company parking, with spaces available for both scooters and cars.

I am still working at this company. The marketing department’s bonus system is transparent. During my nearly first year at the company, I met the targets almost every month and received both monthly and quarterly bonuses. Although I had not worked there for a full year, I still received a prorated year-end bonus. There are not many employees, and everyone gets along well. Communication is mainly with supervisors regarding projects, and there is little contact with the general manager, Justine. She gives employees a great deal of room to develop their abilities. This is also the main reason I wanted to leave a comment here. Before joining Renzhou, I was very hesitant because the information and comments I found online had changed my impression of the company. However, the supervisors I interviewed with clearly explained the work projects and objectives, which made me really want to join. I am very glad I made the decision and did not miss out on this job. It is a company that provides equal pay for equal work: if you put in the effort, you will see results. Nothing is completely out of reach—that is what I most want to say. (I think the general manager the previous reviewer encountered and our general manager may be different people.)

Cons

1. The company provides each employee with a laptop, but it sometimes struggles to run smoothly. It really lags, especially when editing videos.

2. It is extremely inconvenient to buy food outside the company. There are only McDonald’s and a few brunch restaurants nearby. Eating those options repeatedly gets old... However, the company does allow us to place group meal orders!

Pros

There are motorcycle parking spaces, but not many.

Cars parked under the trees will be attacked by bird droppings.

Cons

The company can be found in the Business Entities (Employers) in Violation of Labor Laws and Regulations Search System, with multiple violations listed.

1. It wears the guise of a social enterprise but behaves like a typical old-school boss. One of its brand理念 is “taking care of employees,” yet it cannot point to any actual actions taken to care for employees. It considers paying a salary to be a favor and sufficient care, and expects one person to take on multiple roles, even though the salary is not particularly high.

2. The turnover rate is high. As soon as you join the company, you see people in positions across other departments constantly coming and going. Although the company has been around for seven years, apart from the general manager, who has stayed for five years, not a single employee has stayed for more than three years. Most people leave after three to six months.

3. Everything has to go through the general manager, making the process extremely inefficient. Once it reaches her, she wants to change this and that simply because she personally dislikes something. In one case, the company used stainless steel for a thermos cup only because the general manager’s mother uses nothing but 304 stainless steel.

4. The general manager frequently interrupts employees during presentations, as if she had prepared the presentation herself. It is very rude.

5. For recent graduates looking to gain experience, this is not a good choice. If you really want to experience an exceptionally dysfunctional company, you will learn here how to judge whether a company is a minefield.

6. They put on a very positive image all day and claim to care deeply about the planet. The general manager requires employees to get her approval before posting articles in the company group, and also requires everyone to read them and write a reflection afterward.

7. The general manager expects employees to obey her absolutely. Otherwise, she starts forming cliques to criticize people who do not act according to her wishes. She will even reflect her dislike of you in your bonus. The atmosphere is extremely authoritarian—she is the king who rules the company.

8. The company really does not have many employees; each department has only one to three people, including the supervisor. Even when something is not your responsibility, the supervisor may summon you for questioning in an emotional state, asking, “Where is it?” She does not even know which subordinate she assigned the task to. Whether A or B did it, she may forget, and instead of checking the email from when the work was assigned, she starts losing her temper.

9. The company’s founder has another company, and it is similarly dysfunctional!

Pros

Flexible one-hour work schedule

Close to home

Auntie comes to clean and maintain hygiene

Actually go work there once, and everywhere else afterward will feel like paradise

(Without comparison, there is no harm.)

Cons

The general manager leads the bullying of employees,

using her authority to arbitrarily add work,

and employees cannot question any decision made by supervisors,

because she is the general manager and has the authority to decide anything.

Internally, only good news is reported, never bad news.

She likes to have people applaud to celebrate closing a deal.

During meetings, everyone is expected to pray at temples for blessings and hope to land major orders.

She humiliates and threatens employees,

deliberately praises employees who flatter her and try to please her,

angrily berates employees who do not comply with her wishes,

and publicly makes an example of people to intimidate you.

The company operates on the principle that those who follow her prosper and those who oppose her perish.

She openly states that she will treat only employees she approves of kindly.

The above reflects only the general manager's personal conduct.

The following concerns the company's internal operations:

1. There are no systems and no written announcements; whatever the supervisor says goes.

2. It is rife with illegal and unscrupulous practices.

3. Work is done without a system or standardized operating procedures, and there are no cross-checks between departments. Errors are everywhere, and supervisors only shift the blame.

4. Inventory costs use a “standard cost system” to calculate the value of ending inventory and cost of goods sold; the general manager decides the profit and loss.

5. The HR manager often calculates salaries incorrectly and does not properly handle insurance enrollment or withdrawal.

6. It presents a warm and friendly work environment, but in reality people scheme against one another behind the scenes.

7. Employees are forced to work at exhibitions on holidays, with no overtime pay and no guaranteed one day off in seven. There may also be consecutive periods of excessive overtime; the only compensation is time off in lieu.

8. At year-end, only the general manager enriches herself. Everyone else receives at most a fraction, and sometimes nothing at all; bonuses are distributed according to the general manager's preferences rather than performance.

9. Turnover is extremely high. At most, one person has stayed for a year; everyone else leaves or is forced out after three to six months.

10. The departments lack professionalism, operations are poorly managed and chaotic, and the company is the general manager's playhouse.

11. Newcomers are treated very warmly at first, but once things do not go according to the supervisors' wishes, they turn hostile faster than a page can be turned. Proceed with caution.

12. The psychological pressure from the supervisors and the helplessness caused by incompetent colleagues will affect both your mental and emotional well-being.

13. Work assignments may be sent via LINE at any time—early morning, late at night, after work, or even on holidays.

14. And so on... Oh, you also have to politely greet the general manager's husband when you run into him, or she will dislike you.

Conclusion: Good..........bad!!!

Pros

You are provided with an extremely old computer

Cons

1. When transferring assets upon resignation, there are office desks, chairs, and mobile cabinets. Who on earth would want these?

2. Management only talks about which companies they used to work for, how many years they worked, how many people they managed, and how they did everything, yet they do not even understand the most basic requirement of terminating labor and health insurance when an employee resigns.

3. When receiving an offer, make absolutely sure to discuss and clarify the scope of work in writing; otherwise, tasks unrelated to the position will also be forced on you.

4. Employees are forced to work stalls on holidays without overtime pay and can only take compensatory leave, including national holidays. This already violates the Labor Standards Act, yet they still proclaim in meetings that the company does not do anything illegal.

5. People with ideas will be rejected because the general manager says she is the one who understands the brand best, and everyone must obey her.

6. Company announcements have always been verbal only, with nothing in writing. Things change at will, with no consistency.

7. Those with actual manufacturing experience who understand processes should seriously consider this. This company does not have proper procedures, and rework happens especially often.

8. The general manager only promotes the fact that she introduced an ERP system, but it is not used properly; purchased modules are unused, rendering the ERP essentially useless.

9. The job bank listing says applicants must have high stress tolerance, because they must endure the general manager’s sarcastic remarks, threats of dismissal for poor performance, and constant targeting.

10. Working here means constantly having to applaud. If you do not clap, the general manager will even ask why you are not applauding.

11. Work is done without prior planning. Products are developed without market research, based instead on the fact that the general manager’s own mother uses this material.

12. Most products are not designed in-house; existing products from mainland Chinese manufacturers are imported and slightly modified. Can this really be considered “designing products that combine practicality and a sense of design”?

13. Staff turnover is high. Very few employees have worked here for more than a year; far more people stay for only three months or half a year than complete a full year.

14. A senior manager said the shareholders are Buddhist devotees, so employees must be careful not to make mistakes that cause extra expenses. Yet when the senior manager goes out to the bank, they take a taxi.

15. The amount of the year-end bonus depends on whether the general manager likes you. The evaluation form is merely a formality; even those who receive a year-end bonus do not get half a month’s salary.

16. If you feel extremely hungry and have a large appetite but can never seem to eat your fill, come join us and eat the biscuits provided by the company.

Pros

Benefits available at 104:

Free parking spaces—but without rain covers

Employee continuing-education subsidy—but there is a seniority requirement; before reaching it, you will already have been forced to resign

Bonuses for the three major festivals—issued as vouchers, but so little that you cannot even afford to buy a box of mooncake gift sets

Year-end bonus—depends on the general manager’s mood; it could be 0

Transportation allowance—only available to those who moved with the company from Taipei to Taoyuan

Employee discounts—30% off the employee price, but there is not much you would want

Performance or project bonuses—almost nonexistent

Additional pay and salary adjustments granted irregularly based on organizational contribution—you only get them if you keep the general manager happy

A variety of career-development and promotion opportunities—roles are multitasked, departments must support one another, and you may be assigned unrelated work at any time; diverse learning opportunities, yay

The company’s legal counsel provides employees with free consultations on family matters—exploiting the long-term legal counsel as an employee benefit (P.S. Most employees’ legal issues concern labor disputes.)

Quality snacks and drinks—only senior managers have enough free time to demonstrate by eating them in front of you

A warm and friendly work environment—haha, this is the biggest joke,

Suitable for people with the following traits:

Strong stress tolerance

Extremely strong psychological resilience

Do not question unreasonable requests—whatever the supervisor says is right (I’m the general manager; I’ve worked at large companies)

Know how to work with a group of not-very-smart colleagues

Have somewhat masochistic tendencies

Do not value efficiency and like rework

Care more about appearances than substance

Like applauding

Cons

There is only one drawback: there are no advantages.

Pros

Easy to park

Water dispenser available

Bright enough lighting

Restroom available

Washbasin available

Cons

The company’s top executive, the “general manager,” uses the name of social enterprise as a pretext while actually engaging in bullying.

She is harsh toward employees in daily operations, while calling herself senior management. Her compensation is N times that of frontline employees; she enriches herself, gives orders imperiously, and has an outsider leading insiders. She frequently brings up her glorious history of having worked at Chungx Automotive, Nanx Soap Group, and Tianx Magazine (but after asking around at two of these large companies, no one knows who she is⋯)

She also directly told employees that they cannot normally apply for overtime, unless it exceeds three hours, and that it can only be exchanged for compensatory leave on a 1:1 basis. Sales exhibitions are scheduled on holidays and cannot be refused, yet there is still no overtime pay⋯ After work every day, she continuously assigns tasks via messaging software.

She has a mindset that openly breaking the law does not matter, bullying people because no one reports her; emboldened by impunity.

The people who invested in this company do not manage its affairs, so they let this person run rampant and act tyrannically, constantly piling on work and threatening employees. She also teams up with the people she brought in to gang up on employees, sending emails all day to force them to do work outside their duties, constantly using PUA tactics. I have never seen such a low-quality two-faced person.

The chairman is seen adopting an extremely submissive posture and constantly demanding that employees applaud and rally support, while exercising authoritarian control.

The new products are simply existing mainland Chinese-made products with minor exterior adjustments, yet they are promoted as self-designed⋯ brainwashing to the fullest.

This comment is intended to present the facts—if it can save even one person, that is one person saved. It is a hellish world. She thinks she is heaven itself and often humiliates employees by saying they cost more than their predecessors, then makes a pile of unreasonable demands, causing employees to suffer mental breakdowns. One by one, people resign in anger. The turnover rate is so high that someone who stays for a year is considered the most senior employee. (I wonder whether the Ministry of Labor has any suspicions?)

New hires are also misled about the reasons previous employees resigned, and people are required to coordinate their stories in advance so they all match. Internally, there is no structure whatsoever and the processes are a complete mess; everything related is assigned individually by email, while the system is left unused. Yet she constantly boasts about having implemented an ERP system, despite not knowing how to use it herself.

A terrifying and despicable company⋯ It also occasionally uses religion to threaten people—truly blasphemous toward Buddhism.

I urge everyone to think carefully before proceeding⋯
