I interviewed for a brand marketing position. The supervisor explained everything very clearly, including the job duties and responsibilities. I feel that the company has a bright future and great prospects. It feels like a place where you can help others while also helping yourself. I really want to work for this company.

The environment is comfortable, everyone seems very nice, and the managers are friendly. After hearing the company introduction, it felt like a large-scale company with a lot of potential for future growth. The benefits are quite good too. When I first entered the office, it looked like the employees had just finished yoga and were wrapping up (I was told the company pays for a yoga class for everyone every week)!
I heard that the company will move next to Nangang Train Station in the future. Although public transportation there is fairly convenient, it is still a bit far for me.

Position interviewed for: Visual Design Manager
After seeing all kinds of examples of companies allegedly exploiting interview candidates shared by those who came before me, I chose to believe that people are inherently good and thought, “It probably won’t be that bad, right???” So I went for the interview. The interviewer was the Marketing Manager. Here are a few points for everyone’s reference.
1. The manager conducting the interview seemed very nice, and the interview lasted three hours. But what kind of manager needs three hours just to explain the job responsibilities? During the interview, it became apparent that the Marketing Manager was simply throwing all the design and management problems he was currently unable to handle at the interviewee, hoping that someone among the candidates could help him deal with them.
2. The position I was interviewing for was Design Manager. Only after the interview did they tell me they wanted me to create a DM to assess my capabilities and design style. I replied at the time that I thought assigning this task to a specialist would be understandable, but for a Design Manager interview, did they really think it was appropriate to ask the candidate to create a DM? They then gave me a DM, so I replied that I would optimize it based on its content.
3. Next, after the other party provided the logo, product photos, and other materials, I mentioned in my first email that I could type the copy myself, but asked whether they could provide any other materials. They provided a situational image, and nothing else. After I replied with my proposal, I received a response the next day saying that they had realized they had not given me the copy and wanted me to create another design based on their copy. After reading the text, I thought the entire piece basically needed to be redone—the key message, headline, and so on were completely different from the original.
4. Finally, I replied that I felt I had already presented my design concept and ideas in the design from my previous email, so I would not create a second design based on the company’s content. That was the end of the matter.
Taking all of the above into account, along with the many accounts shared by people who came before me, it is apparent that this company habitually asks candidates to submit assignments after interviews. (Why do you think interviewees should provide free creative work and ideas to your company?) Regardless of whether you interview for a senior or junior position, they use the same approach. This kind of exploitation of candidates’ work is truly disgraceful.
For anyone considering interviewing at this company, please think twice.

Interview position: Brand Marketing
After the first interview, the interviewer said there would be a second interview and that I would need to submit three annual marketing plans written for Yifu.
It was not until shortly before the second interview that I was told to email the files to them in advance. (At the time, I felt uncomfortable because I was going to project the files myself on the day of the presentation, so why did they need them in advance? They replied that the supervisor needed to review the plans first.)
During the second interview, several interviewers repeatedly asked questions unrelated to the position I had applied for, such as what solutions I could provide for difficulties the company was facing. (These were problems that other departments had failed to handle, but no one could solve.) The question-and-answer session lasted nearly three hours.
In the end, they seemed very satisfied and appeared ready to make an offer, but a few days later they sent a message saying that they would not be recruiting for this position for the time being.
Using candidates’ annual plans for free and looking for answers is not acceptable. This was an extreme waste of the interviewee’s time and showed no respect for intellectual property rights.
The company is made up entirely of young women
There are two interviews. After the first interview, they send you a brief and ask you to design a double-sided A4 product flyer. Within three days of receiving it, they will let you know whether there will be a second interview, which is then conducted with their manager.
The first interview is conducted by two designers: one responsible for the online e-commerce side and the other for the offline physical side. They ask the interviewee design-related questions, then ask you to introduce yourself and talk about your previous design work.
The company is on the second floor of the building right outside the bus stop at the Taisugar Building. The office is not large, and there are only a few employees. It feels like the people you can see in the fan group. They are a subsidiary of a large company responsible for selling probiotics.
To be honest, I really dislike it when companies require something like a practical test. Why not simply state on 104 that there will be a practical test? The reason they have a practical test is that this company was deceived by past interviewees, so they want to test applicants’ abilities. However, I would much rather work for a company where an applicant’s design skills can be seen from their portfolio—or, if a company cannot even afford to pay for the trial period, what would be the point of going there?
Also, although they said the assignment could be done casually, there was so much written content that you would have to spend at least half a day digesting and organizing it. Otherwise, the result would just be a complete mess.
