Pros

1. Accumulated experience, but most of it was gained by creating opportunities for myself

2. The brands represented are very high-quality

Cons

1. The represented brands have many regulations, headquarters provide few resources, and the company has a low budget. Within the limited scope of the job, it is impossible to achieve anything substantial.

2. I 100% agree with “They only require you to get things done but won’t teach you how to do them. If a new idea doesn’t align with theirs, they say you’re wrong.”

Everything is decided by the boss.

The most frightening thing is that they secretly ask HR to open a job posting for your current position and hint in various ways that you should resign, because the company cannot afford to pay you severance.

3. This was the first time I encountered office employees taking turns being the “person on duty.” During the assigned week, you have to sweep the floor, water the plants, and clean the coffee machine—and you cannot do these tasks during your scheduled working hours (meaning you have to come in early to clean).

4. Basically, you can find all the typical Taiwanese-company workplace culture here.

Summary: Regardless of how many years of work experience you have accumulated, I strongly and sincerely recommend that you do not come to this company—unless you are extremely submissive.

(Also, based on my own real work experience, the credibility of Workplace Insight can reach 90%.)

After working there for some time, I found that one office housed two companies with numerous brands. Policies were constantly changing, there was extensive overtime, and labor laws were completely ignored. Employees were also asked to take on many additional tasks. The boss's inner circle was very obvious and they were highly emotional. I hope people interested in positions such as luxury department store purchasing and marketing will not rush into trying it, because the job will wear down your passion. After the new labor law was enacted, the company even gathered employees and said that not paying overtime did not violate the labor law, and that deducting pay for lateness was an individual's own disciplinary issue. If they had openly and blatantly said, “I simply do not follow the labor law,” I might even have respected their nerve and been willing to work there, but this brainwashing-style approach is unacceptable! They only require you to get things done without teaching you how to do them; if a new idea does not agree with them, they say you are wrong!!! The salary is also terrible. The human resources department is not professional, and neither is the accounting department. Much of the time, they are simply cleaning up each other's messes.

Pros

Mutual protection among insiders; cliques are a serious issue. They like sycophants. It’s best not to have your own ideas.

Cons

The company itself called me for an interview and initially asked me to take on a managerial position.

On my first day, I encountered an older woman who was extremely unpleasant and kept psychologically manipulating you. If you didn’t flatter her or do things according to her ideas, you were considered wrong. She seemed extremely insecure and was also impossible to communicate with.

On my second day, I heard from people in the same industry that she was crazy.

Even toilet paper at the front desk couldn’t be charged to the company account. After you leave, she will continue badmouthing you throughout the industry. I sincerely recommend not going there—you will ruin your own reputation.

Pros

Suitable for people who are very obedient, compliant, and inexperienced!

Come here to learn new skills and how to flatter people!

Cons

First of all, I want to apologize to all the people who shared their experiences. After reading the reviews on Tianyancha, I still went to work at the company. Therefore, this apology notice is meant to urge those of you who are about to start working at Juesi: others have already gone through it for you, so don’t foolishly continue down the wrong path of joining this company!!!

1. The cliques are extremely divided. After joining the company, you have to choose the right side, otherwise you will be ostracized and made things difficult for. In serious cases, they will suppress you and force you out. Reporting it to your supervisor is completely useless, because the supervisors are all in it together! Problems reported by frontline employees are all covered up by force. (To this day, the boss still doesn’t know the real reason why employee turnover is so high.)

2. The work is very miscellaneous, and the pay is low. The salary the supervisor said you could earn during the interview was simply a pipe dream!

3. The supervisors are extremely good at making grand promises. They make it sound better than singing, as if they treat people sincerely, but in reality they are constantly shooting arrows at you behind your back. They are fake and love to pretend to be understanding and reasonable.

4. The employees inside the company really love gossiping, but as long as you aggressively curry favor with them, you won’t be targeted.

5. The supervisors really like to sow discord and fan the flames. To survive, you must be obedient and join in ostracizing the people the supervisors dislike!

6. Under no circumstances should you enthusiastically provide your own resources for the company to use, because the supervisors won’t appreciate you; instead, once they have used them up, they will kick you aside!

Pros

1. The products of the brands they represent are excellent.

2. The store’s decor and displays are very beautiful and upscale.

Cons

1. It can take the agency several days to resolve a single internal matter.

2. The brand-side managers only care about the numbers; basically, their ability to handle matters is seriously lacking.

3. What they say during interviews sounds grand, but the reality is drastically different (during the interview, they said brand sales staff could earn an average of over 50,000 per month, but in reality, you’d be lucky to get 35,000).

4. The employee turnover rate is extremely high! The brand-side managers simply do not value people who work seriously; they probably think that if someone leaves, they can easily find a replacement!

Personal impression: The brand managers only like people who curry favor with or cling to powerful figures; whether an individual’s performance is good or bad does not seem to be part of the evaluation!

The most absurd thing is that the work schedule is sent back to the company every month, yet they call the counter asking for specific employees and whether they are working that day. So, is the schedule sent back every month fake?

In short, just take whatever nonsense they say during the interview with a grain of salt.

Pros

The interview was very efficient and I didn't need to fill out an additional application form. It was over in about 15 minutes.

Cons

This company proactively contacted me for an interview, and I told them that I was still employed and currently working at Store B in Department Store A. Brand ADP, which sells their perfume, has a location in Store C of Department Store A, and I had also worked at Store C, so I had a general understanding of the brand's situation. They said that if I was hired, they would call me three days later, and that I would not receive a call if I was not selected.

I did not receive a call from ADP that day. Instead, I received a call from a colleague at Store C, who asked whether I would like to work at their store if I was planning to resign. I was very surprised because I had not told anyone at Department Store A that I had gone to an interview. Only later did my colleague at Store C tell me that ADP had called their colleague—the staff member responsible for fragrances—to ask about me, which was how they found out that I had interviewed. ADP said that because they still wanted to hire someone with fragrance sales experience, they did not plan to hire me.

I was absolutely furious when I heard the whole story. If I had already resigned, I would have had no objection to their calling my former employer to ask about me. But the point is that I was still employed. Calling my current company to ask about me was essentially announcing to everyone that I was looking for another job. Moreover, their reason for not hiring me was that I did not have fragrance sales experience. Wasn't that something they already knew during the interview? Why did they need to call my former colleague again to ask about me? The interview was arranged by their company, and I had made my fragrance sales experience—or lack thereof—perfectly clear in both my résumé and the interview. I truly feel that not hiring me would have been fine, but why did they have to call my company to ask around? What kind of gossip-driven mindset is that, especially when I was still employed? I am still working at Store B. Wouldn't it be extremely awkward if other colleagues asked me about it?

I sincerely believe that not hiring me is perfectly fine, but there was no need to pry into my affairs and cause difficulties for a job seeker. This was truly the worst interview experience I have ever had.

Pros

The head office is clean, air-conditioned, and small.

Cons

· The head office is a 15-minute walk from Nanjing Sanmin Station. The company should provide job applicants with detailed location information because it is difficult to find.

· You have to fill out a form by hand. HR does not look at résumés or the handwritten form, and will ask you to explain things verbally instead. They are very old-fashioned and have a poor attitude.

· HR is unprofessional. For the luxury goods industry, it is still recommended that you go to a foreign company, where the boss is a foreigner; this is less likely to create the impression of a mother-in-law mistreating her daughter-in-law.

A ridiculous company. Its policies keep changing in the short term, and it will also reduce your commission—several times in a short period.

The company is extremely cliquish, both in the office and externally. People love gossiping and cannot stand seeing others do well. There are a bunch of old-fashioned people whose thinking is still very conservative, stingy, and petty despite what era this is. Even if you perform well, you may be forced out or have your salary cut, with some really lousy excuses given… The entire class only gets a total of 80 minutes of break time, and when working alone, it is impossible to take the full break. This violates the Labor Standards Act. In short, it is a company that does not help your career.

The boss and the boss’s wife are both crazy. Do not join this company under any circumstances. The company is extremely small to begin with, and on top of that, the boss and his wife never agree with each other and are always hurling insults at one another. The company policies keep changing, and the brand is a complete mess. Do not join this company under any circumstances—you will regret it like crazy!!!
