Pros

1. The colleagues in my unit are relatively young and kind. Despite everyone being so busy, they have high EQ, don't lose their tempers, and can find humor in hardship.

2. There is overtime pay.

3. I heard that once you get in, you won't be fired no matter how unsuitable you are, and there is always some unit you can go to. In my unit, for example, there is a mid-level manager who gets scolded all day long, yet I haven't seen them get fired.

Cons

1. The supervisor in my unit (Da'an) has a habit of loudly berating subordinates even when people from other units are present. Their voice carries like a bell. You can hear it outside even when they call someone into a small conference room.

2. The workload is astonishing. As soon as I start work, I answer phone calls until after the end of the workday before I can begin doing my actual work. The job consists of endless paperwork of all kinds. Since we coordinate with the government, if they are unhappy, they come up with new ideas and we just keep revising things. The government agency is also extremely difficult to deal with.

3. New employees must perform a humiliating cheerleading routine at the year-end banquet during their first year. This should really be disclosed during the interview! Also, I heard that the one-month year-end bonus is not the actual take-home amount.

4. The salary is simply too low. If you graduated from a national university in Taiwan and have good language skills and abilities, you could quickly earn more than this by passing a civil service exam or working for a typical private company. Unless you no longer want to strive and would rather do boring work until retirement. However, they transfer people with long service records to extremely busy units; I feel this is like forcing them into retirement indirectly.

This is truly a super exploitative company. New employees get absolutely no honeymoon period—they are basically just waiting to be dumped with work, and HR also loves interfering with newcomers’ work for no reason.

The managers here are even worse... Even after an employee submits their resignation, they still refuse to let go of any opportunity to order them around or exploit them... and they act as though it is perfectly justified. Their shamelessness completely makes you question everything 🙄️

The mentor-apprentice system is also just a nice-sounding label. In reality, the mentors themselves are so busy that they do not even have time to train new employees, while the other colleagues are too overwhelmed with their own work to spare any attention.

I agree with what the person above said: it is insanely busy. And they are completely busywork—drowning in meaningless administrative tasks...

There is also absolutely no quality of life. Even after work, they constantly bombard you on LINE with instructions about work; they do not let up at night or in the early morning. This is the corporation with the worst impression and the most outrageous exploitation of any place I have ever worked!

Pros

The interview mainly consists of two stages:

1. Basic tests: English proficiency, document processing (Excel & Word), case analysis, and personal aptitude tests. They take approximately 1.5 hours. The test content is not difficult, so applicants do not need to worry too much.

2. Interview with the supervisor: The discussion was very amicable, and all kinds of questions could be asked. The interviewer answered each one. The length of the interview depended on the individual circumstances.

After the interview, you could find out that same day whether you had been successful. If the interviewer said they would forward your résumé to senior management, you were probably successful. In addition, salary is determined based on years of service and relevant work experience, so everyone can make their own judgment.

Cons

I received an offer from the company, and I was very satisfied with the salary and job duties. However, due to internal organizational adjustments at CPC, I was later notified that the offer had been canceled, even though the position was still being advertised on 104... Those considering applying to this company may need to pay extra attention to this point~

Pros

The interview consists of an initial interview and a second interview.

The initial interview is conducted by the department manager: the interviewing manager was very friendly and easy to communicate with.

The second interview includes basic tests: English proficiency, document processing (Excel & Word), case analysis, and a personal aptitude test. It takes approximately 1.5 hours.

I suggest calling to ask yourself if you have not been notified after a week... HR seems not to know what they are doing... I was told by phone that I had been accepted, but they needed to confirm whether the interviewers had confirmed that they wanted to fill the position. The formal offer would take about a week to process.

Cons

Disadvantages

1. HR told me that because the department manager in the initial interview believed I was capable of handling the job, and the director in the second interview thought my qualifications were very good, I was accepted. However, they still needed to go through the process and confirm whether they wanted to fill the position before submitting an application for the formal offer (which needed to be approved by the general manager and deputy general manager). The process would take about a week, and I would officially start work one week after the application was approved.

2. HR was completely passive. Even after the expected time had passed, I had to ask about the progress myself. Later, they said the general manager and deputy general manager believed that the position did not need to be filled and gave other excuses???? Then why waste the interviewer's time??? Why post the position??? Why not inform candidates in advance, instead of making them call themselves before they would even check the application progress???

3. I suggest not wasting your time here, because you will never know whether the senior managers above the position have agreed or are even aware of it, and HR will only shift the responsibility to those senior managers.

Pros

During the pandemic, the first round was conducted via video interview.

The interview panel consisted of the department manager and two department colleagues, who took turns asking questions.

After passing the initial interview, candidates had to go to the center for a second-round interview.

Word test: basic page layout and formatting, adjusting line spacing, fonts, indentation, and similar tasks.

Excel test: formatting adjustments, file encryption, and simple formula calculations.

English: all multiple-choice questions covering grammar, reading comprehension, fill-in-the-blank questions, and vocabulary. High-school-level English was sufficient; it was not too difficult.

After the written test, the assistant general manager conducted another interview. If selected, HR notified candidates within one week. During the phone call, HR communicated the salary assessment result and then sent the formal offer letter.

Pros

Most of this company’s work consists of government tenders, so how easy the work is depends greatly on the project and the supervising manager.

The advantage of the Xinyi external office is that it is conveniently located, the office environment is fairly okay, it has OA panels, and there is at least a little privacy.

Cons

Let me start with what I consider the biggest drawback: this company has no refrigerator!! No refrigerator!! No refrigerator!!

What’s most outrageous is that even the head office doesn’t have one. This is very inconvenient for employees—there’s no way to refrigerate lunch boxes, afternoon snacks, and so on.

I previously saw comments online saying that working at a nonprofit foundation is pretty cushy, but I personally don’t agree. Taking on government tenders means that you have to absorb all the work that civil servants find difficult.

The job operates under a total-responsibility system, so if you haven’t finished your work, you may be bothered after work or on holidays. In fact, it makes the quality of life rather poor.

The work is actually quite busy, with hardly any break time during the workday.

The salary isn’t very high—just over NT$30,000 or so.

The workload, however, is astonishing @@

I feel that this is somewhat of a shady company. Think carefully before joining.

The company has been somewhat glamorized online.

Pros

Most of my colleagues are quite young and fairly easy to get along with.

Cons

1. There are far too many procedures at work. Each department operates independently and creates a pile of additional internal rules. Even the managers themselves are unclear about the rules, yet they push the responsibility onto subordinates to figure everything out themselves and even teach other colleagues. As a result, we cannot finish our actual work, and then get constantly berated for being inefficient.

2. Overtime is routinely and extremely excessive. Whether you receive overtime pay depends on the manager. In my team, approval depends on the manager’s mood, while other departments seem to be able to claim it freely.

3. The senior managers are all exceptionally unreasonable. Even when a decision made by a manager fails to meet its goals, they assume the employees simply did not work hard enough. Managers say that if there is a problem, we should ask questions rather than work on our own, but when we do ask, they simply reply that they do not understand, tell us to find a way ourselves, and instruct us to call someone else to clarify it. They do not help resolve any doubts or problems.

4. Reporting issues to the manager at an appropriate time is the worst possible choice. They will say that their management approach is not wrong, then hold a grudge and continue to make things difficult for you.

Pros

The interview was fairly relaxed, and the manager also had a good attitude.

Cons

They asked for some original documents during the interview and had me spend 40 minutes completing a test, but then ultimately gave no response. Being ghosted like that was really disrespectful.

Interview: Personnel related to agricultural projects

1. The company atmosphere is calm and stable. While waiting at the reception desk to be seen by the interviewer, I continually heard colleagues chatting with and greeting people as they passed by the reception desk, or reminding one another about matters such as ordering lunch boxes.

2. After arriving, HR takes you to a meeting room, explains the test questions, and repeatedly reminds you to save your work at any time during the answering process. The HR representative’s extension number is shown on the page. The test takes approximately 1.5–2 hours, but there is no strict time limit in practice. Basically, once you finish, you can call the HR representative’s extension. (During the test, the HR extension page seemed to disappear because of computer saving issues, so it is recommended that you write it down or save it once at the beginning.)

3. The test consists of four parts: 1. Aptitude test (personality test); 2. Basic Word and Excel test (if you know basic formatting, centering, and basic functions, it should not be too difficult); 3. 40 multiple-choice questions in English; and 4. Essay questions (two situational questions asking for your views, plus one question on the fundamentals of management).

4. The interview with the supervisor was very pleasant. You can ask about anything, and the supervisor repeatedly mentioned that the center has many internal resources. They welcome people who are proactive and willing to pursue further education while working. Occasionally, after winning a major contract, things may become busier and require overtime or fieldwork, but compensatory leave is available. Staff also coordinate with one another regarding vacation and overseas travel schedules. After work, it is recommended that you actively conduct case studies so that you can prepare for activities. In the future, if you wish to transfer to positions such as project manager or lecturer, you may apply for such opportunities.

Overall, this is an organization with abundant resources. If you prefer a highly stable job, are willing to work through the cycle of bidding for contracts, execution, and report completion, want to enter the consulting industry, enjoy learning by seeing and listening more, and possess planning skills, applicants with a master’s degree are recommended, as the salary will be higher.

Cons

I did not notice any particular disadvantages during the interview. The supervisor stated that the center’s administrative procedures are relatively lengthy and require following processes and submitting reports up the chain. When reviewing your academic background and work experience, the HR department determines the salary. If you accept the salary offered, you can start work; the process takes approximately one week.
