Pros

1. The colleagues are very nice; they privately create group chats to criticize things they dislike, much like these comments, focusing mainly on complaints rather than offering constructive suggestions.

2. I don't think people with strong self-discipline would join this company. As stated in the text, the company offers enough flexibility to change the original 9 a.m. start time to 10 a.m. Later, the rules were revised to a 9 a.m. start and 6 p.m. finish, with a one-hour lunch break, correcting the previous lack of a lunch break.

Supplementary details about commonly listed benefits in job advertisements:

1. “Employee trips”

The company had employee trips and regular group meals before, but after colleague A joined the company, it indeed did not organize any more employee trips.

2. “Lunch allowance”

At the time, colleague A was provided with other allowances in addition to the lunch allowance. It also happened that colleague A received a government notice regarding an outstanding debt, stating that interest would be added and collection pursued if the debt was not repaid. Under those circumstances, the company lent colleague A nearly NT$100,000 so the debt could first be paid in full.

3. “Irregular group meals and afternoon tea”

The group meals were just the year-end banquet and Mid-Autumn Festival barbecue. The food was not particularly good, so don't expect too much. If you happen to have something else to do and cannot attend, it may still affect the atmosphere of harmony within the “imperial palace.” As for afternoon tea, people who like fried food, sweet-potato balls, traditional doughnuts, and other high-calorie foods may enjoy it. Pig-fattening life ONLINE.

Cons

1. Regarding involuntary termination, what I currently know is that all the cases were actually resignations initiated by the employees themselves.

2. The claim that the turnover rate is extremely high and that ten colleagues left within two years is untrue and exaggerates the facts.

3. Regarding a group of employees who consider themselves designers, when it comes to patterns, they do not seem interested in establishing themselves at the company, nor do they think about development. Reflective designs and similar topics were mentioned at meetings, but from a professional perspective, this concerns whether the company's factory resources can support breakthrough designs. If not, the impact on the rate of customer complaints is something that requires serious consideration. If I develop a so-called breakthrough product but consumers do not buy it, then once the company goes under, we can all receive involuntary termination notices together.

4. They often went upstairs to a small room for private meetings. A colleague also found a rubber item under the sofa in the small room while cleaning >>> Lawsuits will be filed over false accusations. Colleague A once told the child's biological father about that so-called small room. Out of pity for the child's biological father, she was subsequently accused of adultery by his wife. At that time, I believed she was innocent, which left me deeply saddened…..

5. I hope colleague A can communicate rationally instead of leaving such random comments. I hope she can raise issues rationally rather than repeatedly saying during communication that someone else's failure to flush the toilet is someone else's problem, while constantly saying that she herself is very clean. I can understand that raising a child alone is difficult, but she cannot lose her temper and swear just because she did not do her work properly. The issue arose because the company scheduled the thorough cleaning for one day earlier rather than the final day, so all employees could finish up their own work on the final day. After everyone had cleaned their respective areas, only one cabinet remained—the part belonging to colleague A. At that time, I merely reminded her in the morning, and she responded by swearing at me. In fact, it was very simple: these good colleagues could have helped her clean if she had simply asked.

6. Colleague A is also very self-centered. I think criticizing other people's clothing is excessive; I consider it a personal attack, and this is also the kind of thing that can make people lose control. I hope she will not do this again at another company, because it is behavior characteristic of an immature person.

7. If someone spends a great deal of time at work talking at length about personal matters, wouldn't the company wonder whether there is too little work?

Pros

1. The office colleagues are very nice and capable. When there is a problem, everyone works together to find a solution (excluding the Abbot and members of the family business).

2. Apart from the convenient location for buying lunch, I can’t think of any other advantages.

Cons

1. A whole bunch of work rules have been established, but members of the family business and the Abbot do not need to follow them. If anyone else fails to comply, the Abbot will publicly berate them in the group chat. The double standard is extremely serious.

2. The Abbot has poor emotional control. Anyone or anything he dislikes can become a target of his criticism, including—for example—postal workers, business partners, customers, telecommunications companies, system management companies, logistics providers, and even the boss and the boss’s wife. From time to time, he also bangs on the desk and pounds on the keyboard, creating something like a symphony. BTW, when he is in a good mood, he sometimes sings loudly in the office. It is strongly recommended that you remember to bring headphones to work.

3. The Abbot cooks his own lunch in the office during working hours. If you think it is as simple as making instant noodles, you are mistaken! Whether it is sesame-oil-fried vermicelli or kimchi-fried meat, no strongly flavored ingredient is beyond him. By the time you leave work, you will be taking the smell of the Abbot’s lunch home with you.

4. If you want to take annual leave, you have to see how the Abbot is feeling. When you hand over your work to the Abbot, he makes it sound good by saying that he is your supervisor, but don’t expect him to handle any of the work for you. He will only tell the customer something like, “I’ll help you deal with it after *** comes back. I’m not familiar with it,” and so on. If the customer complains to the boss at the same time, the Abbot will blame everything on you: “Your handover was incomplete!”

5. The Abbot considers cleaning the most important job and requires everyone to sign the cleaning checklist every day, treating it as part of their performance evaluation! It makes you wonder whether you applied for the job of a cleaning lady. However, his own hygiene habits are terrible. Every morning, opening the restroom is full of surprises, because the Abbot leaves various bodily wastes behind for you to deal with. When you bring it up with him, he pretends not to know anything and denies it!

6. Bonuses were originally agreed to be paid once every two or three months. Later, because the management group found it troublesome, they became payable once every six months—and the payments are repeatedly delayed.

7. Do not believe any promises the management group makes to customers, because afterward the management group will pretend not to know anything and say they never said such a thing to the customer. They shift the blame to the customer and ask the sales staff to find a way to placate the customer themselves.

8. The Abbot does all kinds of personal things during working hours (applying a face mask, making personal phone calls lasting more than an hour). If the work does not get finished, no problem! He uses after-work hours or holidays to come to the company, putting on a show of being proactive, and directly counts those hours toward compensatory annual leave.

Pros

Think about the happiest thing about working here

The colleagues were great, and leaving the company.

Cons

As mentioned above, I'll omit that and add what was left out.

Basically, the abbot is stationed in the office to keep everyone in line. The person upstairs put it there as a spy, to monitor whether other people are slacking off at work—not to help colleagues work more smoothly. In fact, it is the biggest source of problems. But the referee, the witnesses, and both the organizers and co-organizers are all its people, so it has absolute power. When it causes a major problem, it can push the blame onto others; when someone else makes a minor mistake, it immediately deliberately blasts them in the group chat for everyone to see. In short, no matter how many mistakes are made, it is never at fault.

Whenever it feels like it, the abbot sends private messages to people, asking them to come upstairs and chat in the small room. It sounds like concern for colleagues, but in reality it intentionally or unintentionally digs into their privacy and secretly records the conversations.

The abbot says the office belongs to everyone and that everyone is responsible for cleaning the environment, but emphasizes that the refrigerator is theirs and the electric kettle is theirs too, saying these are benefits the company provides for everyone (???). The company later replaced it with another small second-hand refrigerator for the employees, but a piece of paper was stuck on it: the entire huge middle section was the abbot's private area, and no one else was allowed to use it.

The management group needs to improve its ability to express itself. Not to mention the typos—it can't even distinguish between “at” and “in,” and no one can understand its logic when it speaks. It also acts as though it thinks none of you are working seriously.

The two parking spaces by the road outside the office are probably both the abbot's. Once, a passerby parked there, leaving no space for its car. The abbot directly called the police station and told the car owner to come move the car immediately, even though it did not actually obstruct access or business operations at all.

The management group will provide styles it likes and hopes you can make highly similar imitations in homage. They do not like employees with overly strong subjective opinions. But when the company receives negative reviews, they just play dead and dump the matter on the people below to handle. Externally, however, they say, “Oh, I also don't know why the designer directly copied someone else's design,” putting on a pitiful act.

The management group looks down on customers who buy other expensive, well-known brands, thinking they only care about labels. Behind the scenes, however, it sends clothes from other brands to factories in mainland China to have identical patterns made, then tells the public that new products are already under development.

This is a company that shows very little respect for professionalism. As long as you know how to do something, it will find a way to squeeze you dry. Do you think it's paying you a salary slightly higher than what you could get elsewhere? That's because you're doing the work of three or four people, silly. The most embarrassing part is that they once hired professional foreign models for a photoshoot, paid them only 3,000, and still haggled over the price.

Pros

1. The only advantage is having good colleagues. They are easy to get along with, and whenever there is a problem, they are willing to help explain things to you.

2. Friends, turn back before it is too late~

Cons

Let me tell you the whole story.

1. Delayed enrollment in labor insurance, no labor or health insurance, and malicious dismissal

The boss’s wife clearly stated: Labor and health insurance are only available to employees who have passed the probationary period; during the probationary period, there is only group insurance.

If you hear that labor and health insurance are provided, it is because the supervisor did not explain things clearly.

2. Professional ability is not valued

If you are an obedient lackey, this place is heaven for you—the ability to earn favor here.

3. There is a supervisor with poor emotional control who may intend to hit people.

Suppose you are a newcomer just starting out. The Abbess will first show you kindness and try to bring you under her wing. When other colleagues are not in their positions, the Abbess will tell you about their strengths and “weaknesses,” or how much she has spoken up for you, giving you a better understanding of the ecosystem here.

If you are fortunate enough to receive her favor, please continue to be grateful to and praise the Abbess. You will thrive here.

After spending more time together, you will discover that the Abbess begins to show her true colors, with all her bad habits laid out before you.

By the way, the Abbess has poor emotional control. As soon as you talk back to her, she loses control—and when she loses control, she may intend to physically assault you.

4. All the shortcomings typical of family businesses are found here.

Hygiene practices are extremely poor. Because the toilet’s water pressure is problematic, there is often unflushed waste in the restroom. If you are unlucky enough to be assigned to clean the restroom, you must clean it thoroughly.

Otherwise, the supervisor will criticize you and hysterically say that cleanliness is what she cares about most, then try every means possible to get rid of you while you are still a newcomer.

If you are a long-serving employee, she will criticize your shortcomings in private.

Pros

1. The colleagues are very nice—extremely nice, so nice that you wonder how they ever came to this place to step on a landmine (except for the old hands who are preparing for retirement).

2. For people with strong self-discipline, it can be a good place if you treat it purely as training. Most of the time, you have a high degree of freedom at work. However, once you complete the promotion requirements and max out your skill points, you can make a quick escape, because other than that, there are no other advantages worth mentioning.

Additional notes on the benefits commonly listed in the job postings:

1. “Employee trips”

Just written to look good. There have been none at all for at least the past two years—not even a one-day trip to nearby Changhua.

2. “Lunch allowance”

NT$1,000 per month. In reality, it is used to subsidize an excessively low salary structure, including all kinds of other allowances and bonuses—everything can be deducted or slashed at any time.

3. “Occasional dinners and afternoon tea”

The dinners are just the year-end banquet and Mid-Autumn barbecue. The food is not particularly good, so don’t get your hopes up. If you happen to have something else to do and cannot attend, it may even affect the atmosphere of harmony within the imperial court. As for afternoon tea, people who like fried food, sweet-potato balls, traditional doughnuts, and other high-calorie foods may enjoy it. Pigs’ Life ONLINE.

4. “No overtime; one-hour lunch break”

There used to be an advantage over the Labor Standards Act in terms of working hours (10:00–18:00, with seven actual working hours). Recently, however, after management unilaterally announced changes to the working-hour rules, there is no longer any advantage over other companies to brag about.

Flattery skills > sweeping skills > professional skills

If your skill points are arranged this way, you will definitely become a top-tier elite at this company. After all, sweeping ability is included in performance evaluations.

Cons

1. Social insurance enrollment is routinely delayed. There have even been colleagues who were “maliciously dismissed” but could not obtain certificates of involuntary separation. Later, when they accessed their insurance records, they discovered that the company had never enrolled them in insurance at all, leaving them suddenly unemployed and unable to claim benefits.

2. Turnover is extremely high because this company wants obedient minions and disposable consumables. At least ten colleagues have left within two years, but only two new hires have successfully been brought in so far. The design department office is practically a ghost town.

3. Producing and selling styles and patterns that pay homage to others has become routine. Once a company’s crooked culture takes shape, it is not something designers who depend on the company for their salaries can control. Everyone is simply out trying to make a living.

4. The management team appears enlightened and offers a high degree of freedom, but they are actually very petty. The abbot who monopolizes this territory and their happy companions share a deep affec~tion that outsiders cannot see clearly. What kind of affection it is, we neither know nor wish to understand. Everyone only sees them frequently going upstairs to a small room for private meetings; some colleagues have also found rubber products under the sofa in that room while cleaning. In short, remember not to offend the abbot. Sucking up and currying favor is the true path to survival for a minion.

5. The abbot is not very good at maintaining a pleasant facade, but deliberately shows kindness and pretends to be friendly toward innocent newcomers who do not yet understand the truth. After spending more time with them, you will discover the problem: their intelligence is questionable, their work ability is extremely mediocre, and their emotional intelligence is extremely low. They snap at the boss, the boss’s wife, and customers, and curse at partner manufacturers, colleagues, shipping companies, and postal workers. As long as you upset the abbot, no one can escape. There has even been an attempted act of workplace violence during working hours, in which a colleague was attacked. Naturally, their happy companions covered it all up—after all, the best way to solve a problem is to solve the person who raised it. (Because the abbot’s poor emotional management affected everyone’s work, the company’s employees even had to sit down and hold several meetings about it. Utterly ridiculous.)

6. The company is small and can be considered a family business. It has all the flaws that other companies have, so there is no need to elaborate. The old hands are like one family and have very similar tempers and habits. A major characteristic is the lack of attention to hygiene: toilets often contain soiled items, uncleared menstrual blood, and toilet paper or sanitary products left openly on display for everyone to share. All I can say is that, from their clothing to their behavior, they are extremely unapologetically themselves.

7. It is a company that loves holding meetings and organizing information, but the information never gets organized. Even contracts and quotations intended for clients require hiring interns who know absolutely nothing about the company’s business to produce them.
