Pros

As an employee who has been with the company for nine months and has already been promoted once, I believe this is a company that places great importance on employee benefits and the workplace atmosphere. It makes me feel that the company values employees’ abilities and performance and is willing to provide corresponding rewards.

In addition to providing basic benefits and protections, the company also offers benefits that help employees relax physically and mentally. For example, it regularly holds birthday tea parties; every important holiday comes with gift money and gift vouchers; and employees at different levels are entitled to different numbers of hours of special leave provided by their supervisors. To show consideration for employees, the company also has an afternoon tea break every day. The pantry is stocked with snack and beverage areas where employees can recharge before getting back to work, allowing them to relax outside of working hours. The company also provides a private KTV room where employees can unwind after work and relieve work-related stress. All these benefits make me feel the company’s thoughtfulness and appreciation for its employees.

Of course, the company also places great importance on employees’ learning and growth. It not only provides subsidies for continuing education and comprehensive training, but also arranges relevant training courses and external training opportunities to help employees enrich their knowledge and skills. This gives employees more opportunities to learn and improve their work capabilities and skills. At the same time, the company also places great emphasis on employees’ performance at work. There are promotion opportunities twice a year, and substantial salary adjustments are made every six months based on work performance. Employees with outstanding performance are also given promotions and salary increases. This makes me feel the company’s recognition of and appreciation for my efforts.

Overall, the company’s benefits and systems are very comprehensive, and the atmosphere among colleagues is also very good. It does not seem much like what is described in some reviews. Of course, everyone’s mindset and experiences are different, so I will not comment further. Personally, I feel that the company’s culture is quite positive and forward-looking, and that it places great importance on employees’ growth and development. It gives employees more opportunities to develop within the company. I am also grateful to the company for providing me with such a work environment and platform for development—an opportunity to showcase myself, continually improve, and realize my potential. For job seekers who want to learn and grow within a company, Lanny will be your best choice!

I resigned today, and it’s just as well that I did! As a department manager, you’re supposed to lead the people under you, but when you think someone has a problem at work, you don’t communicate with that person. Instead, you go and tell the manager of another department about the shortcomings of your own staff. What kind of logic is that? Do you enjoy giving other people something to gossip about? Someone at a managerial level still leads the people under her in joking around and chatting every day, treating gossip about others as entertainment! Workplace bullying is extremely serious! I thought the relationships among colleagues were okay and that there were no problems, but I didn’t realize it was only superficial. People are just trying to curry favor and cling to the manager so they can get promoted quickly. The first thing you need to learn at Laney is to be even better at putting on a façade and flattering people! If a manager doesn’t like you, no matter how well you perform, she will use all kinds of excuses and bullying tactics to force you out. Please think twice before joining this dark company!

Pros

I am the deputy general manager of Lanney Enterprise.

This company has been operated by my husband and me for eight years now, and we have nearly one hundred employees.

I had previously seen reviews written here by some former employees. I personally did not want to come forward to make any declarations or explanations,

because people’s mouths belong to them, and it is your freedom to say whatever you want. I will not comment on it!

But if things really are as you say, then why are there still so many partners willing to continue working and striving together with us for many years?

When running a company, it is perfectly normal for some employees not to be suited to their positions. Even if the company wants an employee to leave, we follow the Labor Standards Act and pay the legally required severance before asking you to go. We would not resort to underhanded tactics to force you out!

Please do not go too far. Do not assume that anonymous comments made behind the scenes in the internet age carry no responsibility. If you think that, you are mistaken!

If those statements are true, you can simply report them to the relevant government departments. Please do not engage in such disgraceful behavior behind the scenes.

I looked through all the reviews here. Five of them came from the same person, and the IP addresses are all identical. I have already taken screenshots of everything as evidence for filing a lawsuit. Take care.

The company is called Lanni

Because Lanni's reputation is so bad

People quit after working for only one or two days

Otherwise, there are no employees—the company is short-staffed all day

So they use Oubaita on job websites instead

The company uses many names to evade taxes

They exploit employees' labor insurance and do not accurately report actual wages

If you see a company with at least 20 job openings

Be sure to compare the details of the job openings, because it is the same company

Don't let yourselves be deceived

The boss changed my working hours without my consent. Originally, they were from 9:00 to 6:00, but they became 9:30 to 6:30 simply because the warehouse was short-staffed. This is a company with very poor systems. My colleagues and supervisors are two-faced, and the work atmosphere is unpleasant. Everyone only looks out for themselves, and the colleagues and supervisors all speak in the same way, so there is no need to be overly polite to them either. I left immediately; it is a terrible company not worth looking back on.

Pros

None. Absolutely no pros.

Can't say.

Cons

1. If you are brave enough to work at this company, you are welcome to come and give it a try. Other companies treat their employees like treasures; here, you are worked like a man, as far as the warehouse is concerned.

You must have three times the strength of a man and 1,000 times the courage and perseverance to survive, because there is always a supervisor who resembles an ancient eunuch (this is a metaphor) and only gives orders verbally while the people beside him essentially become robots doing the work. From time to time, he even uses other people's body types as jokes, which is already a form of verbal bullying. Truly, a supervisor who places standards above everything else.

2. From an administrative perspective, pay here is generally much lower than at other companies. Don't ever expect a raise, because although your supervisor will help write the raise request, the prerequisite is that your supervisor has to like you. Even if it is submitted, it may be rejected 77 times out of 49 by upper management, because the company probably doesn't have the budget to give you a raise, right? (I'm guessing.)

Raises usually go to people who flatter their supervisors, curry favor, and are lazy. The lazier you are, the higher your rating—this is truly a baffling logic. The company has a supervisor evaluation form used to assess your year-end bonus, but this evaluation is very strange: it is not based on your ability, but on how much the supervisor likes you. In particular, seeing the warehouse's monthly ratings is enough to make you clutch your hands in shock: lazy people and slackers get extremely high scores, while those who work seriously get low scores. There are so many question marks—what kind of divine logic is used for these ratings? It seems to be based entirely on the supervisor's mood and feelings! They swear that they rate you based on your work attitude.

3. As for graphic design, generally speaking, friends who have worked as designers say that the company supervisor provides the images and you just create the designs. That is also the case here, but there is a points system: you must achieve a certain number of points each day to receive a bonus. If you fail to reach the target, the supervisor will make sarcastic remarks about you and loudly announce it in meetings: “So-and-so failed to reach the required points.”

4. As for sales, aside from the fact that their underwear sales perform very well and they are constantly restocking, if you want to receive a large amount of bonuses, you must have the ability to persuade your supervisor so that they will let you stock products. Otherwise, you cannot receive their so-called monthly salary of 100,000 in bonuses. The products are all from Taobao: bought cheaply and sold at extremely high prices. Do they think everyone is a sucker? Why not just buy them directly from Taobao or Shopee, where they are much cheaper? The quality of the products is exactly what you would expect from Taobao. You might say that Taobao also has good products, but given the company's costs, how could they possibly let you purchase higher-priced products? They want everything cheap while also demanding high quality—the impossible combination of wanting both a good horse and for it to eat grass. Only people who shout about needing money all day can stay there (birds of a feather flock together, after all).

Because many former employees have said that her sales results were all obtained by snatching customers or products, and that she has serious persecutory delusions (I don't know whether this has improved), she would take products that you sold well and snatch them away to sell herself. She is indeed quite hardworking in that respect. Pretending to be pitiful—does she think the company is a harem where everyone competes for favor? Is it worth hurting others for money? People with seriously flawed character should be careful: she is a smiling tiger. Once you go in, you'll know. If you want to make money, then work honestly and don't steal or snatch; let your performance speak for itself. Things obtained by snatching last only temporarily. Never hurt your colleagues for money—everyone is there to work.

As for the other departments, from what I have seen, their turnover is very high. There is a lot to do: you need to create images, list products, find products, create item numbers, set up campaigns, negotiate campaigns, and so on. Sometimes one person has to handle everything and may need help packing orders. The company does not want you to work overtime, but if you haven't finished your work, you still have to take it home to do—isn't that the same thing? Even when you are on leave or sick, you still keep receiving calls from the company. If you work in sales here and want to rest, dream on, because there is no backup.

5. Regarding leave, what is strange is that if you want to take one day off, you need to apply a week in advance; two or three days, such as a consecutive holiday, requires applying a month in advance; four days requires two months in advance. Before a regular holiday, the company says that, in principle, it does not recommend taking leave, and if you do, it will be included in your performance evaluation. Usually, taking that many days off may be because you have a family trip scheduled around a long weekend, but you feel embarrassed to request leave because it may affect your performance bonus. Don't you think that is unreasonable? Special leave is a right granted to workers by the government, but the employer sets unreasonable restrictions on it. You cannot finish using all the leave, but you also cannot finish your work. They still force you to take leave without paying you for it, unless you have to stay at the company for three full years before you can exchange it for money.

6. Regarding department transfers, the company transfers you wherever it wants. It will ask you, but by the time they ask, they have usually already made the decision. They are not consulting with you; they are informing you. They lack the generosity an employer should have. There is no communication here, only compromise: if you don't like it, leave. That's all; there is nothing else.

7. The company does not want you to work overtime because it would waste electricity and air-conditioning costs. At first, I thought the company cared about us and sympathized with how tired we were, but it turns out everything was for the sake of saving on electricity.

8. In conclusion, if you still want to try joining your esteemed company, you are welcome to do so. This would also conveniently confirm the points I made above, and I would sincerely admire you.

9. There are many things prohibited at work. For example, during lunch breaks, you cannot use the company's electricity for personal matters. Working overtime is considered a waste of electricity.

The workload is unevenly distributed across positions; one person is expected to do the work of several people. Overtime is prohibited because the company wants to save on electricity costs, yet it installs an extremely expensive sign to make the company look larger than it is, without realizing that the employees have to bear the cost. They insist that employees should shoulder these expenses.

Sales has the lowest status in the company. Even when asking the warehouse team for help, sales staff have to watch their reactions, because management has instilled in them the idea that their physical labor is highly significant, so the warehouse team thinks they are very impressive.

One senior male manager has a light bulb on his head and spends all day promoting cult-like ideas in the company group chat, brainwashing employees into believing that the company they work for is a “happy enterprise.”

You even have to pay to use a sales assistant. You can use the sales assistant for eight hours a week; if you exceed that, you have to pay $50 per hour. Is this a coin-operated assistant?

Sales staff do not receive year-end bonuses. The boss thinks that sales staff already receive a lot of commissions every month, so they do not need a year-end bonus. However, during the interview, they said there would be high commissions, high pay, and a year-end bonus—just to trick people into joining. Then, at a meeting, they said: “If we didn’t say that, how would you have come here?!!!”

The boss and the boss’s wife are quick-tempered and often treat the company like a breakup showdown arena.

Annual leave does not comply with the requirements of the Labor Standards Act, and unused leave is not converted into cash.

They often hire people who apparently left their brains at home, then mentally bombard the sales staff.

They lure people in with promises of high bonuses and wages, but all the products are from mainland China, so there is no such thing as achieving high performance and receiving high bonuses. Assistants are even charged money for doing tasks, and there is no backup person during holidays. The supervisor cannot do anything—not even open a webpage—and is all talk.

Even when bonuses are awarded, they will find every possible excuse to deduct this and that, taking back the bonuses that were given to the sales staff.

The boss is irritable and explodes whenever things do not go their way, and cannot accept employees having opinions.

The company keeps a bunch of toxic people, and everything they say is treated as an imperial edict.

In short, this company wants obedient, mindless yes-men who quietly accept having money deducted and being insulted without saying a word.

The company is not sufficiently grounded, and its policies are almost all in violation of the Labor Standards Act.

Employees are made to sign property agreements all the time, and the company is constantly paranoid that employees will steal things such as company computers, chairs, desks, mice, and keyboards.

Cons

1. The company has sales assistants, but they are not really like sales assistants. If sales staff want to have a job posting put online, they can only use the service for free for 8 hours. Beyond 8 hours, sales staff have to pay 50 yuan per hour.

2. The bonuses for the three major holidays are company gift vouchers—terrible. The year-end bonus is even worse; sales staff do not receive one either.

3. Something strange happens every day. Anyone considering working in sales should be mentally prepared.

4. It is a perennial opening; the turnover among sales staff is always very high.

5. There are many people at first, but gradually you will discover that they have all disappeared.

6. They claim to be sales-oriented, but in reality, sales staff have an even lower status than other departments.

7. Because former employees reported the company, there is no Office or Photoshop. You can only use the terrible LibreOffice.

8. Every day is spent追究ing whose responsibility it is, making life especially exhausting. There is also no quota limiting sales staff to making only a certain number of mistakes per month. Whether the problem is yours or the warehouse’s, they deduct money from your pay first and ask questions later.

9. You cannot take annual leave whenever you want. To take one day off, you must apply a week in advance; to take up to three days off, you must apply a month in advance. Basically, it is exploiting employees.

10. Sales staff have no designated substitutes, so even when you take leave, you still have to work from home. If you are responsible for a major account, people will call you every day.

5. The boss and the boss’s wife often argue repeatedly because they disagree about their principles, making it difficult for the employees underneath them to work. Whose instructions are we supposed to follow?

6. The work environment is acceptable, but everyone has to speak softly because the supervisor will report to the boss that we have a poor work attitude.

7. The rules for paid annual leave are very strict: leave cannot be taken on Mondays or Fridays. If you want to take an extended holiday, you must notify the company several months in advance to have it approved. However, if you do not use all your annual leave, the company will not convert it into cash.

8. The company often hires unsuitable people, leaving the existing employees exhausted, but it does not lay them off—instead, it keeps transferring them among different departments.

The interviewer was gentle and courteous.

Cons

The pay is extremely low. Sales staff earn only 25K, and can start receiving commission (1%) only after achieving over 500K in monthly sales. In other words, even with 1 million in monthly sales, the salary is only 30K...
