Pros

There was water to drink :)

There was no meeting room booked, so I went all the way up from the second floor with HR to look for an available meeting room, getting to see the whole company along the way.

Cons

The interview lasted two hours in total. During the first hour, I was taking a written test. HR had not even booked a meeting room and took me from floor to floor looking for an available one. HR told me that the test would take one hour, but after an hour, the department manager came in and immediately criticized me: “Actually, this can be completed in half an hour. Why would it take an hour?” Why should the interviewee have to bear the emotional consequences of poor internal communication?

During the second hour, the department manager spent the entire time arguing against my ideas and past efforts, while acting as if the company were so wonderful and could help me so much. After that finally ended, HR conducted a 15-minute interview, explaining the company benefits and asking about my annual salary from my previous jobs up to the present. You can really feel how little respect you are shown throughout the interview process.

I mentioned that I wanted to attend graduate school.

The interviewer then lectured me, saying that at my age I should be getting married, and so on. They also said that I would only need to pursue a master’s degree after reaching the ceiling of this position.

If you don’t want to be humiliated for two hours in a strange space, I recommend rejecting the interview invitation from the start to avoid ending up furious. Still, you can take a look at how confident this company—with a business model that isn’t particularly impressive—is in itself~

Pros

There is an MRT station nearby

Cons

The environment is cramped and the space is small, so people interfere with one another. They didn’t answer the questions the job candidate wanted to know. The interview representative perfectly demonstrated being dismissive; when asked about the job’s positioning and responsibilities, they simply said they didn’t know. Please, don’t waste other people’s time just to save your own, okay?

Pros

The engineering interview felt good.

Cons

The CEO interview was extremely disrespectful, and the entire interview process was very unpleasant.

When asked why I had stated such an expected compensation range, I was mocked for supposedly not being worth that amount simply because I had received another offer with higher compensation than this expected range.

Pros

1. The work atmosphere is relaxed and free, and everyone is pretty easy to get along with.

2. The supervisors are willing to teach, and since they’re relatively young, communication is smooth.

3. The benefits include everything they should, although they’re not exactly top-notch. At least they’re much better than those at many other companies.

4. Simply put, it’s a company where you can learn things (at least for sales).

5. The e-commerce knowledge and marketing skills I learned during my more than five months there can be applied elsewhere, so it was pretty good overall.

Cons

1. Work is not allocated appropriately, and people sometimes pass the buck when handling matters.

2. The bonus system is extremely poor. You have to work yourself to death to close deals, and the bonus is still only a tiny amount............

3. Some senior managers love to make grandiose claims, talking about how great the vision is, but the actual situation is pretty terrible.

4. Sometimes they’ll stop at nothing to meet performance targets, requiring all kinds of conscience-defying sales pitches to get contracts signed. But in reality, the company can’t even afford to pay the vendors haha (Okay, I know a lot of companies may be like this haha).

You can learn things.

The quality of the coworkers is pretty good; there isn't much backstabbing, and the work atmosphere is quite good.

You can get exposure to relatively new things.

Cons

“Put the right people in the right roles and do the right things”—these six characters describe a problem that is both simple and distant.

Because everyone knows the answer to having the wrong people do the wrong things—only the company doesn't.

As for the other shortcomings, I think they're okay; none are as serious as the two lines above.

Pros

1. A small perk: each employee gets NT$100 per month for snacks.

2. At least they comply with the Labor Standards Act by giving me severance pay and a certificate of involuntary separation.

Cons

1. The parachuted-in manager has accomplished very little, loves holding meetings, and is always sucking up to the boss.

2. Some time ago, the local department laid people off without warning, catching everyone completely off guard.

3. I was laid off not long ago. The key point is that my performance was actually okay, and they told me it wasn't because I was bad but because of the company's strategic considerations..... Hmm!

Every day brings different situations; yesterday’s plan may be different today. It’s very fulfilling—most of the time, you work really hard, though occasionally there’s nothing to do.

Cons

None—it’s a newly established company with a relaxed atmosphere.

Pros

I’ve thought about it for a long time and am still thinking, but the only thing I can come up with is that the transportation is fairly convenient.

Cons

I think employees who have stayed longer should be able to appreciate the joy of striving together in the early days. However, after the company’s performance improved in the middle stage, it became very obvious that the employees who were parachuted in or recruited from elsewhere mainly wanted to come here to coast and collect a paycheck. The atmosphere throughout the company is basically: since we’re getting paid anyway, why take things so seriously?

As for the senior management, I think anyone who has worked here can appreciate Mr. E’s ability to paint grand visions and ask shareholders for additional capital. He must be a good salesperson XD

Pros

Can't think of any at the moment

Cons

The benefits are getting worse and worse. The bonus that was supposed to be paid last August was delayed until April this year, and now they say they may not be able to pay it and will delay it again.

Looks like we're probably not going to get it, huh..

The boss draws grand visions all day long, parachutes in many managers with little substance, and then after half a year or a year, they leave after realizing they serve little purpose.

On the surface, it claims to be an innovative company.

But from the general manager down to the supervisors, there are serious problems.

Whether in management, the business model, policies, or processes,

on the surface it seems like a company with a lot of room for improvement,

but behind the scenes, the supervisors seem to do nothing all day but hold meeting after meeting after meeting.

Yet after the meetings, nothing improves.

There is no improvement—things only get worse and worse.

Before the Lunar New Year, the company said it had not made any money.

It laid off many people and handled it very poorly.

(Although you can look up the many well-known companies behind the company's investors—go check for yourself.)

The business supervisors who were parachuted in later

only know how to flatter people and curry favor with those above them.

They cannot do anything else.

The people at the bottom are the ones who suffer.

Think twice before joining this company.

To be honest, the benefits are not very good either.

Pros

A company that claims to generate over 100 million in revenue every month—whether it treats its employees at the same level is for you to judge.

The dishes at the year-end banquet were unappetizing, and the year-end bonus was approximately 0.5 months’ salary.

The only employee trip I ever attended was a one-day trip to Changhua, Taiwan.

Last year, the performance bonus, which was originally paid every August, was changed to be paid in April of the following year; employees who leave midway receive nothing.

Employees are laid off before the Lunar New Year.

For employees who have worked for more than one year and resign, annual leave upon departure is granted on a pro rata basis rather than the full number of days entitled after one year. When I asked HR, I was told that this was not illegal.

The company does not respect the professional position discussed in the original interview and arbitrarily transfers employees to nonprofessional areas in an apparent attempt to force them to resign.

There are very few promotion opportunities for frontline employees, while most management positions are filled by parachuted-in appointees.

The parachuted-in managers are incompetent and incapable; they only know how to flatter the boss and make grandiose claims. When real problems occur, they simply shift the blame to frontline employees.

Because of the high turnover rate, there are very few senior employees.

It is very obvious that the managers form cliques and favor people rather than principles.

Some department managers have no understanding of their department’s work at all and lack experience. They are also very good at forming cliques, while senior managers only make grandiose statements… Lower-level employees can only work苦苦(and may be laid off at any time), ruining the quality and standing they have built through group buying!

Pros

Many parachuted-in managers do not understand frontline operations and love holding meetings. Senior management lacks accountability and shifts the blame to subordinates whenever something goes wrong. Before the Lunar New Year, they announced losses and large-scale layoffs at locations outside the Taipei headquarters, making it impossible for people to enjoy the holiday. They treat employees as disposable and do not take them seriously. The work experience has been very poor. The business manager has changed, and things are very different from when I first joined. The current manager only says unrealistic, empty words that are not helpful at all.

Exploits employees, has no systems in place, high turnover, loves holding meetings, and every meeting lasts all day. When decisions need to be made, senior management is often nowhere to be found, and when something happens, managers never step up to take responsibility.
