Pros

All the benefits you would expect from a large company are provided.

On Labor Day, the Dragon Boat Festival, the Mid-Autumn Festival, Lunar New Year, and your birthday, you can receive instant vouchers or stored value added to your icash Pay account.

If you work more than four hours, you can have a doughnut and a drink.

However, you have to write a 300-character employee flavor evaluation form… so no one at the store eats them; otherwise, they eat them and record them as discarded inventory.

Cons

Full-time employees cannot arrange their weekly days off themselves; they have to discuss them with the store manager. A good store manager takes you to heaven, while a bad one takes you to hell.

They also arrange employees’ annual leave arbitrarily without discussing it with them.

Some long-tenured store managers still use old-school management methods and cannot communicate properly. They act superior and constantly post long, scolding messages in group chats, berating employees and causing them all to leave.

I personally saw and heard that district supervisors also berate store managers this way. No wonder they cannot retain younger employees.

Those who stay are mostly older and would have difficulty finding a new job elsewhere, so they simply put up with it and continue working.

The stores are always understaffed, yet they still try to cut labor costs, reducing staffing as much as possible and scheduling just one person to work alone. How are you supposed to take a break like that?

The “happy company” image is only superficial.

Only after joining did I see the many unpleasant truths…

On May 1, the Dragon Boat Festival, the Mid-Autumn Festival, Lunar New Year, and your birthday, you can receive instant-use vouchers or iCash Pay stored value.

If you work more than 4 hours, you can have a doughnut and a drink.

However, you have to write a 300-word employee flavor evaluation form… so no one at the store eats them; otherwise, they eat them and record them as discarded items.

Some long-serving store managers still retain the management style of the older generation and cannot communicate properly. They act superior and frequently post lengthy, disparaging messages about employees in group chats, causing everyone to leave.

I personally saw and heard that district supervisors also criticize store managers in the same way. No wonder they cannot retain younger employees.

Those who stay are generally older and would have difficulty finding a new job elsewhere, so they make do and continue working.

The stores are always understaffed, yet they still have to cut labor costs, cutting them to the absolute minimum by scheduling only one person to work. How are you supposed to take a break under these conditions?

Pros

Even if you have annual leave, you can’t take it; the store manager always gets priority to take leave.

The recruitment information says the workday is eight hours.

You can eat donuts and drink beverages.

Cons

The actual workday is always more than 10 hours.

You’ll be scheduled to work 10-hour shifts directly, without even being asked about overtime.

The overtime pay is pitifully low.

There is an outrageous amount of overtime.

I urge anyone considering applying to think carefully.

Pros

You can receive Uni-President Enterprise benefits (though they’re actually not particularly good).

Cons

Unpaid overtime (you have to work far too much overtime before you can report it)

Almost permanently assigned to late shifts (the manager has children, so they almost always schedule themselves for morning shifts…)

Overall, the SOP for training new employees is not very comprehensive

Sometimes you need to go to another store to provide support

Pros

The company environment is good, with a fixed year-end bonus of more than two months <guaranteed at 14.5 months>

There are two interviews.

The first interview <includes a written test (testing marketing acronyms such as the 4Cs, etc.)>

The second interview is with senior management, and the managers are all very courteous.

Cons

Unpaid overtime....

Pros

The HR staff and manager were fairly courteous and even prepared tea and refreshments.

Cons

At the beginning of December last year, I brought all the necessary materials and my portfolio to the company for an interview. Because this interview lasted three hours, it delayed other interviews I had scheduled. After the interview, they said that because I had passed the manager’s first-round interview, I would have the opportunity for a second interview. Ms. Li from HR even emailed me to say that the second interview would take place at the beginning of January this year. However, immediately after notifying me, they closed the position. I still hadn’t heard anything by the end of January, and I even emailed Ms. Li from HR at the end of February to ask about the second interview, but unexpectedly received no response at all. Now I see that they’re advertising the position again. This is really ridiculous—absolutely awful and absurd. This position has been posted from May 2017 through March 2018 and is still there. It’s basically a fake job posting.
