Today, while browsing the internet, I accidentally saw yet another report about Xia Nu saying that employees received NT$60 million in bonuses. Did they see a ghost? The media should be responsible for what they write. It probably went into their own pockets.... Recently, I heard that the daughter was made general manager, and the son-in-law also became vice president. With such poor people skills, this company is really strange. Do they have no talent?

Overall, there aren't really any advantages.

You might only feel good at the moment when you receive your paycheck.

Cons

1. When you first join, supervisors always say, “Your salary can be adjusted after the three-month probationary period.” I have been working here for over a year, and I have not received even a single cent of a raise.

2. Leaving work on time becomes the biggest crisis. (Your supervisor will think you are not busy, which is why you can leave on time. After that, they will keep assigning you more work from time to time.)

3. There are fewer office staff than on-site staff. (On-site staff are responsible for inspecting the workpieces and completing the products so they can be shipped. Office staff in the Materials Department are not only responsible for receiving and shipping materials, but also for following up to ensure timely delivery and calculating amounts. It is like combining production control and finance. Production control staff are not only responsible for tracking workpiece progress, but also for sales and assisting the Materials Department, as well as handling the company's total monthly shipment value. In short, office staff are expected to be all-rounders—one person is used as three. It is extremely miserable.

4. Office staff do not receive overtime pay. (When you first join the company, they will ask you to sign a great many documents, one of which is a voluntary overtime agreement. But as mentioned in point 2, it is extremely rare to be able to leave work on time.)

5. The company is extremely reluctant and stingy when it comes to paying employees. (They treat money from the Employee Welfare Committee as your year-end bonus, using various labels to cover it up and pretend that it is your year-end bonus. In reality, you do not receive a single cent of an actual year-end bonus. Because listed companies are required to distribute the Employee Welfare Committee funds, but are not required to provide a year-end bonus. For example, this year, if the Employee Welfare Committee funds were 30,000 plus a one-month year-end bonus, you should receive at least 50,000. But the company's calculation is simply 30,000 plus 0, so the difference is 20,000.

6. There are no employee trips; the only benefits you receive are the three traditional holiday gifts/bonuses.

In summary, why am I staying? Because I have a family, and I have other plans for next year, so I can only continue working here.

But you have a choice. There are still many good companies out there.

Cons

1. The highest-ranking female manager is emotional and very good at emotionally manipulating employees.

2. Except for production-line personnel, all other employees are subject to a responsibility-based work system, with no option to apply for overtime pay or compensatory leave.

3. A 100% paper-based company.

4. They like holding meetings just before the end of the workday, typically lasting at least two hours.

5. They like controlling everything, including employees’ leave requests, which must all be approved by her.

6. The 5S environment standards are enforced arbitrarily, with no clear criteria. If something is displeasing, a violation notice is issued entirely according to her mood.

7. At the end of the year, violation notices are issued for anything related to 5S or for people and things they dislike, affecting year-end bonuses.

8. Requiring indirect personnel to work overtime is considered normal. If work is not completed on time, it is deemed a personal lack of ability. Even when many employees resign, they do not consider it a “company management problem”; it is always because employees are supposedly incompetent!

9. When the government announces a typhoon day as a holiday, anyone who does not come to work will have their salary or annual leave deducted. Paid leave is never provided.

10. Production-line personnel are required to cooperate 100% with the company’s output goals, but the benefits system is decided solely by the boss. Benefits are equivalent to sometimes having a meal and sometimes not, depending entirely on the boss’s mood.

11. In 2025, we received only two holiday bonuses. For the Mid-Autumn Festival, they said there was no money and that the welfare committee system needed to be “corrected” (reduced). This year also looks like it will be bleak.

12. The company’s 2025 annual revenue was better than in previous years.

13. Yet the benefits were reduced.

14. Documents are frequently rejected because of that person’s “emotional” issues. The pages are covered with dense writing in erasable pen, including irrelevant explanations—just to reject the document. After dragging things out, they turn around and say, “This employee executed it improperly,” while conveniently erasing the erasable-pen markings.

15. In 2025, many managers were hired, and all of them were criticized as completely incompetent—the entire group was wiped out.

16. In 2025, entire departments were wiped out, e.g., the Sales Department and Human Resources Department. When there is no one left, they simply find someone to take on the work, believing that any “person” can complete it, regardless of whether they have the necessary foundation or experience.

17. There is no HR department, only someone temporarily assisting with HR matters. They do not understand HR responsibilities and cannot answer even basic questions.

18. In 2025, nearly one-third of the “senior employees” left. The reason is obvious just by looking at the situation.

19. Employees are only welcome when joining the company. When you resign, they will not let you apply for an “employment separation certificate” or “insurance withdrawal certificate,” or they drag out the process as long as possible. Even now, many former employees still have not received their separation certificates.

20. Whenever it is time to pay money, they always claim to be short of funds, or they are very good at making empty promises during recruitment.

21. Long-term employees are too subservient and stuck to leave. They even comfort others by saying, “It’s normal for the boss to be like this.” Everyone who demands that people “swallow their anger and endure” has their own ulterior motives.

22. When an employee resigns, it is treated like a betrayal. Even after their departure, the company continues issuing “disciplinary announcements” against them or listing them as inferior employees. The methods are petty and crude.

23. If you express any opinion, you may next receive a violation notice for “not cooperating with the company,” lose your year-end bonus, or face similar consequences (there are precedents). They may even pressure you into resigning voluntarily.

24. Even though this company has 200–300 employees, everything is decided by that one person. Labor-management meetings are also decided by that person, making it impossible to advocate for any benefits.

25. This company only communicates one way. There is no two-way communication, and they are unwilling to communicate with employees.

26. The salary listed on the job bank is very high, but the actual amount may not be. The role also includes unpaid overtime for office staff, having to tolerate that person’s unstable emotions, mental exhaustion, inexplicable emotional manipulation, and verbal workplace bullying.

27. Please stop using the benefits listed on 104 to deceive people. Old market conditions should not be used to mislead job seekers. There are currently no benefits at all. The photos are from two years ago, and they are afraid to update them because there are no benefits.

28. The decision-maker is around 70 years old and has an “old-enterprise” mindset, believing that labor can always be found and that employees are not assets.

29. The department handling the accounts is also truly pitiful: they have to be on call even on holidays and likewise receive no overtime pay.

30. Given that a large number of people left last year and replacements leave as well, you can imagine what will happen next.

Too much to write. I joined 10 years ago and left in less than a year. Other companies in this state, and other departments, are all better than this one if you look around. The woman in charge is very stingy and berates people like dogs, putting on airs. There are many sycophants. It seems there has been no improvement in over 10 years. When looking for a job, don’t really be fooled by the media. Leaving work on time is apparently not acceptable. The salary is so low that it is inversely proportional to the effort required.

Training dogs’ endurance in being humiliated

Cons

Yesterday, the Former Employees’ Alliance held a gathering, applauding and cheering

At the corner of the park is a dog-raising company: mad dogs, fake poodles, real wolfdogs

Training dogs that only wag their tails

Throwing the dog’s bone to you in two pieces, making the dog run until its legs break

One careless move and you send the dog to court, ending with euthanasia

Thinking it’s high-class, while a bunch of dogs vomit to death

No dog rights, no dog welfare

Fortunately, I escaped the dog circle

You can truly see the ugliest, most greedy side of human nature playing out in the workplace. Part of the salary is transferred into two accounts, and part is paid in cash; employees are made to sign for receiving cash, and the details of how to evade taxes are acted out in real life—you don't need to follow a TV series.

Cons

So terrible that I’m speechless. If you refuse to go along with the corruption, your supervisor will treat you like a thief to be guarded against, and you won’t feel any sense of belonging at all.

My friend works at this company. The supervisor is a relative of royalty. The women are arrogant because of their power, while the men have nothing left but their pride. They have no experience of working their way up from the grassroots level. Relying on their advanced degrees, they act as if the company belongs to their family. Their interpersonal relationships are terrible, terrible, terrible. Employees dare not speak out despite their anger. When someone makes a mistake, they are berated so harshly that they might as well crawl into a hole or hang themselves. Get ready to pack up and go home to fend for yourselves. If you can avoid this kind of job, do so. The economy is too poor. Wishing everyone good luck and success in their careers.

This company is hen peculiar. In the epidemic investigation questionnaire, the chairman and general manager were not included in the questionnaire statistics. What if they have problems? Employees don't need to be protected, huh? Everyone who gets paid and comes to work should fill it out, right? Suppose the employees of this company all contract the virus and die; it might be that the virus was brought by those three people. Unfair, unfair, unfair.

The interviewer was reasonably attractive.

Cons

The interviewer acted very high and mighty. She interrupted my brief two-minute self-introduction no fewer than five times—and on top of that, kept raising her eyebrows with a look of contempt and repeatedly asking, “What are you talking about?” How was I supposed to answer the questions properly?

There’s nothing wrong with cutting the expected salary, but looking down on someone’s education and work experience is unacceptable. Even if you think the applicant’s qualifications don’t match the position, there’s no need to say, “With your education and experience, this is all you’re worth.” My annual salary at my previous job was 150K more than what you offered. I really don’t understand what there was to be so high and mighty about.

If you only want to pay a low salary for an employee who is, in your words, willing to do anything and capable of everything, then please adjust your attitude. Still, does a manager of this caliber suggest that the company itself has problems too?

If you offend the boss or one of their relatives, you’d better be ready to leave.

If senior management doesn’t like you, they’ll arbitrarily reassign you. After all, they make you sign a consent form when you start, so they’re not afraid of being reported.

Are they pulling this stunt at the end of the year just to save on year-end bonuses?

Terrible. Don’t be foolish enough to think this is a good company—it’s incredibly shady~

They are always buying machinery.

Cons

Everyone from the owner to the mid- and senior-level managers is extremely stingy, as you can tell from the year-end banquet: they can’t offer any benefits, and the top prize is only NT$10,000.

What’s outrageous is that the female chairperson didn’t even attend herself. Normally, she only interferes in everything and makes demands of employees.

The year-end bonus is calculated based on base salary. They only give one month’s worth before the Lunar New Year, and performance is not calculated until the month after the following month. It probably won’t amount to much either;

if the monthly salary is NT$22,000, with a base salary of NT$10,000 and NT$12,000 in allowances, then the year-end bonus for the month is only NT$10,000.

The bonuses are all taken by senior management, while frontline employees can only earn money by working overtime and exhausting themselves.

Pros

Receiving a red envelope when coming to work during the Lunar New Year.

Cons

1. On typhoon days off, the company does not pay the day's wages; instead, it deducts the full daily wage. For example, it deducts a daily wage of 1,000. However, when cooperating with the company, a certain holiday was changed into a regular workday due to overtime work, and the holiday pay for that day was calculated based on the basic salary—for example, paying a daily wage of 900. Wages were deducted based on the full salary but paid based on the basic salary, which was very unfair. After leaving the company, I learned that this had been corrected so that both deductions and payments were calculated based on the basic salary.

2. Due to the rapid turnover in HR, there are problems with handovers. The overtime pay calculation is always inaccurate, and every time I have to call to point out the error, with the difference being paid the following month. Payslips often contain unclear items, so sometimes money is added or deducted without any explanation.

3. Originally, the company calculated salaries from the 26th of each month to the 25th of the following month—for example, from May 26 to June 25. After I resigned, I asked why I had not received wages for the working days after the 25th, only to be told that the company had already adjusted the payroll period—for example, from May 1 to May 31. I only learned after resigning that the company's salary payment system had changed. The company did not issue any official notice, which was extremely frustrating.

4. I originally intended to develop my career in this field, so I paid for classes and obtained relevant certifications myself. I needed a work certificate, so I submitted a request for an employment certificate to be stamped. The manager returned it three times—yes, three times. The company did not spend a single cent on it, so I do not understand why the manager had such an attitude. It was completely unacceptable.

The company is really great!

1. It can motivate you to make zero mistakes

Because you will be fined if you mess something up.

2. It pushes you to love cleanliness

If cleanliness is not maintained properly, the entire unit will be fined.

Cleaning is done every morning, but as soon as the machines start operating, they inevitably become greasy and dirty. Every time Quality Assurance comes to score us, the place is always dirty. We are already too busy rushing to finish the workpieces—where would we find the energy to keep cleaning everything at all times?

3. Overtime until you drop, giving everything you have

The company looks at your clock-in and clock-out hours. Leaving work too early means you must be too idle and have too little work. However, administrative staff do not receive overtime pay, and engineers and sales staff can work themselves to the bone without receiving overtime pay either.

Previously, during a labor inspection, the company was found to have employees working overtime without overtime pay. The company required the employees who were selected for inspection to sign a consent form stating that they had voluntarily remained at the company to take care of their own personal matters, and therefore did not report the time as overtime!

If you want to improve your endurance and perseverance, Chang-Heng is truly a great choice.

If you are confident in your ability to flatter those in power, there is also a great stage here for you to shine!
