Pros

I am a former colleague who worked in Tailing Information Department for ten years and formally left the company due to family reasons. Seeing the comments about the Information Department, I actually felt somewhat emotional and wanted to share my genuine work experience there so that outsiders can gain a more complete understanding.

During my ten years in the Information Department, I learned many solid skills and methods that are genuinely useful in the industry. The manager was indeed clear about the team’s requirements, and the standards were high, but I gained tremendous growth from the experience. Whether in project capabilities, logical thinking, problem-solving, or even cross-departmental communication and collaboration, all of these became very important foundations for my later career. I am also very grateful to the Director of the Information Department for the guidance and cultivation over the years. Much of what I was later able to accomplish in my new job relied on the abilities and foundation I developed under the supervisor’s guidance at that time, which greatly benefited my career development.

To be honest, the pace in the Information Department is indeed fast, and the work requires a certain level of ability and responsibility. More importantly, it requires an ambitious and willing-to-learn attitude. If you cannot keep up for a while, it is understandable that you may feel stressed or even develop misunderstandings. But that does not mean anyone is bad; it simply means that different people are suited to different work environments.

For me, the managers and colleagues in the Information Department were willing to teach, guide, and provide opportunities. The overall atmosphere was positive, responsible, and supportive. Being able to work here for ten years was an important and fortunate part of my career. If there is a suitable position, I would be very willing to return to Tailing Information Department and work hard alongside my colleagues.

If you have had unpleasant experiences because of certain matters, I sincerely wish that you will later find a work environment that better meets your expectations and allows you to make the most of your abilities. However, I also hope that when speaking on public platforms, everyone can base their comments on facts and show one another a little more respect and understanding.

Cons

There is a supervisor in the Information Department with extremely poor emotional management skills and an unimaginably low EQ. His presence completely drags down the atmosphere of the entire office; whenever he is there, the air on the whole floor becomes heavy and oppressive. The other colleagues are actually kind, friendly, and willing to help—the only exception is this supervisor, who is like a ticking time bomb, and you never know when he will suddenly explode.

While a normal person works five days a week, he seems to spend all six of his working days yelling at people. Many things could easily be discussed and explained calmly, but he insists on “educating” employees through humiliation, shouting, sarcasm, and taunts. Is he showing off how much power he has? Or does he think that yelling makes him look impressive?

This negativity is not an occasional outburst; it happens every day, continuously and without warning, leaving the entire environment under constant pressure and unease. Employees do not come into the office to work, but to endure his bad temper and emotional attacks. After being there for a long time, you really begin to question your life, and it can even affect your mental and physical health.

If you are considering coming here for an interview, I hope you will prepare yourself mentally. The work here is not difficult—it is this supervisor’s endless emotional manipulation and verbal abuse that makes people lose their minds.

HR proactively invited me to an interview, but after reading online that the company is a traditional industry company with a less-than-good reputation, I first asked, “Is this unit’s workload currently handled by one person?” Ms. Chen from HR read the message but did not reply. Very unprofessional and low-class.

Looks like the online reputation is true. Fortunately, I didn’t waste time taking leave to attend the interview~

Pros

A company with a long history and an established legacy, where management participates in discussions about methods that need to be promoted internally (the ISO 27001 system and brand were introduced last year).

Spacious parking spaces, meals provided by the restaurant, gift vouchers for the three major holidays, and birthday cash gifts.

Cons

1. There are many invited meetings, and communication can seem trivial or lengthy, with repeated nagging that may cause the discussion topic to drift.

2. Management lacks clear decision-making, and instructions are mostly discussions and requests for opinions, with fewer direct conclusions or clearly assigned tasks. This makes it difficult to turn discussions into action.

3. After training newcomers, there is no further advancement. All kinds of documents require reading, writing, calculations, and running them through the approval process; they may be returned by internal or external departments. When improvements are proposed to Information Technology, the response is to handle each case individually, but in the end, cases are passed off by claiming that more important matters take priority.

4. Meetings and discussions are highly repetitive. Some issues are discussed repeatedly, with no visible feedback showing that they have been implemented. After fragmented communication, there is a lack of follow-up and review mechanisms.

5. Professional discussions are interrupted by trivial matters or casual chatter. Although this may strengthen relationships, it can also dilute the focus of the discussion, especially when highly professional decisions are required.

6. Work and shipping efficiency are unstable—sometimes fast and sometimes slow. It is often necessary to wait more than two hours for the company’s shipping code.

7. The ethical work environment is problematic. Certain married engineers behave inappropriately toward female colleagues, even involving workplace harassment, such as making suggestive remarks and physical contact. No proper action has been observed; instead, some have even been promoted.

8. Human Resources has unusual hiring practices and recruits people looking for temporary work. Employees in sales, quality assurance, production, and other units frequently resign, yet no effort is made to ask about environmental or management problems. Managers privately chat about gossip, drink beverages, smoke, and purchase products.

9. The company plans to expand its facilities, but construction had not yet begun in 2025. At the quarterly meeting, the owner’s praise was not limited to senior employees; new hires are needed to contribute to ODM/EMS performance.

10. When processing a resignation, asking the HR staff member about submitting the required forms may result in being told to go find the General Affairs department. Hello—isn’t that the same department? Or is this also part of the company’s way of doing things? A General Affairs employee surnamed Wang helps check assets and explains the process.

11. In matters involving quality-assurance customers and coordination with Sales, Quality Assurance often conveys information with numerous errors, and one may then be dragged along to explain it and work overtime.

Pros

I can feel that the boss is working hard to transform the company. I feel that employees are valued and respected, and the boss isn’t too high-handed either. It must be quite different from before.

Cons

The company’s floor area ratio is pretty poor. If it wants to do business with major companies, it still needs to pay some attention to its appearance.

Pros

The company reviews and improves things every year. In accordance with the Labor Standards Act, overtime is compensated with overtime pay, or employees can choose to take compensatory leave instead. Most people at the company, including managers, are easy to get along and communicate with. There are annual bonuses and an employee trip every year. The benefits may not be the best, but they are better than average!

Cons

Overall, it’s very good.

Free meals, but they taste terrible

Cons

Recently bought a new automatic screw machine

It keeps stripping screws all day

Do they think we operators have nothing better to do than constantly babysit that machine?

Pros

The department manager was polite.

Cons

I did not submit an application, but the company proactively called to invite me for an interview.

HR did not confirm the job requirements, and the 104 job listing did not state that a specific certification was required. They notified me to attend the interview even though I did not have that certification.

The round trip took two hours, and it was only during the interview that the department manager told me the certification was required, then hastily ended the interview.

They proactively invited me but still wasted the applicant’s time. HR’s overall attitude was unprofessional—very disappointing.

The office floor where the interview took place had a relatively older workforce, the environment was outdated, and there was also an altar table. Overall, it felt very traditional.

Cons

Regular overtime

Some supervisors smoke and drink beverages outside during non-break times

Every morning, before starting work at 8:00, employees are pressured to spend 5 minutes cleaning

Engineers clock in for work but are on a responsibility-based system when leaving, and the overtime pay limit is only NT$3,000

There is a severe shortage of supervisors, so one section manager has to be responsible for many sections

There are often many foolish policies. Even after the foolish supervisors resign, the foolish policies continue to be implemented

The testing department handles everything under the sun. In addition to testing, it also has to handle packaging; it is truly unclear what the packaging department is for

The air conditioning makes no difference whether it is on or off. The air conditioners are never cleaned, so everyone turns the fans up as high as they can

Can't think of any.

Cons

1. The starting salary isn't higher, regardless of whether you have a bachelor's or master's degree.

2. There is no 14th-month salary—not even a 13th-month salary—and no bonus either (so the annual salary is even lower than other companies'!).

3. Overtime is routine, but there is no overtime pay (it depends on the department, and even when available, it is capped at only 3,000).

4. The benefits described during the interview differ too greatly from reality, and the benefits are reduced every year.

5. The company's level of digitalization is extremely low. Most work is done on paper, and you'll be run ragged shuttling documents around.

Pros

1. Starting salaries for new bachelor's and master's graduates are not bad

2. The restaurant provides lunch and dinner

3. The parking lot is very large

4. New employees can take annual leave in advance

Cons

1. A small amount is deducted from the monthly salary and put into the welfare fund. Although it is only a small sum, it can add up to quite a substantial amount in the long run, and you may not necessarily be able to use it for yourself

2. The destinations and itineraries for employee trips may not necessarily interest you. Not going is considered giving up the benefit, while going requires using your own leave

3. Occasionally, you may be assigned to support the production line and perform work that should normally be done by operators

4. Clock in when you start work; your departure time is based on a responsibility system

5. The year-end bonus is not necessarily satisfactory (the company regulations are only for reference...)

The English test was easy.

Cons

After the interview, they said you had been accepted and hoped you could go back and think it over carefully. When I asked how much the salary was, they said they didn’t know because it was decided by HR. A few days later, they called to ask whether I had made a decision.

When I asked again how much the approved salary was, they replied, “You’ll know when you come.”

Would anyone start working without knowing the salary?
