It could be considered the best cybersecurity company, but basically, the managers don't understand networks, and the cybersecurity managers don't understand cybersecurity—they only know how to take certification exams.
When the questions asked by managers are all about basic networking knowledge, you feel that this company looks down on cybersecurity.

I can’t think of any advantages. If I had to name one, some colleagues are quite nice.
The company has no parking spaces, so whether you ride a scooter or a motorcycle, you have to figure it out yourself. It calls itself an information security company, yet some of its own departments cannot pass internal information security audits. All it does is collect logs for the SOC. Supervisors will even tell you that information security is just about bluffing people with technical jargon. New hires are not properly trained, and supervisors berate you if they think you do not know something. They make subordinates prepare the materials they need to present to senior management, then blame you when something goes wrong. There is a pile of documentation to produce. I recommend escaping as soon as possible; if anyone sees this, saving even one person is worthwhile.

They pass the buck all the way to the Cape of Good Hope; ideally, none of it should have anything to do with them.
If you want to learn cybersecurity, do not come to an Ankey on-site assignment—by all means.
You get all the dirty work; getting promoted and striking it rich is another matter.

Let me talk about the problems with this company. As their own on-site staff, they actually left at the end of the workday when the system was being replaced, leaving engineers from another company behind to clean up after them. Not only that, the funniest part was that their supervisor even said that no one was allowed to direct their engineers (otherwise, when there is a problem, are we supposed to just leave it there and let it fall apart?). And what’s even funnier is that Manager Hsieh, who was in charge of the project, is very good at taking exams but doesn’t understand any technology at all. When another company offered professional advice, he actually said, “I don’t know whether there might be regulatory issues.” Let me ask: the adjustments were made using only internal equipment, without using any pirated software, and everything was based on the agent’s recommendations—yet he said he didn’t know whether there might be regulatory issues??? Does adjusting settings using the firewall’s built-in modes count as violating regulations??? If so, every company in Taiwan that sells firewalls would have a problem.
Even funnier, the engineers were eating out during their lunch break, yet a cybersecurity alert was issued at noon? It turned out not to be a computer problem at all. Was the SOC simply collecting data randomly and handling everything in a mess? Would you still dare to stay at a company like this?

The position is a contract role, but the job bank listing did not indicate that it was contract-based; I only found out when I reported for work. The work is not particularly technical, mainly involving monitoring and handling reported incidents, as well as writing a large number of documents and reports. It is only suitable for fresh graduates.
The benefits are decent, and the working hours are flexible.
Anyone with even a little work experience should not come here; the company mainly works on SoCs, and all the managers are engineers from an SoC background (the job mainly consists of having vendors complete the port and mirror configuration and then deliver it to the company. No technical skills are needed—just supervision. They basically do not understand networking or systems), because the work mainly involves looking at logs.
There is essentially no interview content, because the manager does not understand the technology and mostly just makes small talk. They do not even understand basic network workflows. Ninety-five percent of the managers are certification holders with no hands-on experience (CEH/CISSP); all kinds of outrageous bluffing completely dazzled me (though they are still nice people), and there is a lot of gossip about people in the company.
I do not recommend this company to anyone who wants to learn new technologies, because you will not learn anything here. Most problems are referred to vendors; even firmware updates have to be handled by the supplier (because you are just supervising). Whenever technical matters come up, they basically bluff and mislead newcomers. If you receive an offer, please carefully consider whether you want to report to this company.
Convenient transportation
During the salary review, the annual salary range mentioned was broken down into several components, with the base salary set much lower than at my previous company.
Moreover, most of it consisted of bonuses that would not be written into the contract, and there was no guarantee that I would receive the full amount.
I therefore asked HR whether the base salary could be increased by another 1–2K.
There was still no response after two days.
Only after I sent a message asking about it did they say that the position would continue to be recruited for.
Personally, I felt somewhat disrespected.

They questioned you from head to toe, asking how long you had been playing games. When they saw that you owned collectible figures, they asked if you played with them. They also asked whether you exercised or had any recreational activities. In the end, they asked about your salary range and still didn’t hire you. Simply put, they were just conducting interviews to meet a performance quota. If they’re going to do that, why interrogate people about what they usually do? You can reject an interviewee, but the interviewee (the employee) cannot reject the employer. What a wonderful system—make sure to join this company.

There are also far too many cases; the caseload exceeds the available manpower. It is truly terrible.
