Received an interview notification on 104, but the invitation email required providing a lot of detailed personal information. I felt this was inappropriate—having already submitted my résumé through 104, wasn’t that enough?

Basically, the interview is very simple, and the interviewer is amiable.

A month after joining, the supervisor was replaced. The training was poor, and there was too large a gap between the tenured employees and the new hires in terms of their joining dates.

When new hires who joined at the same time resign, or when later new hires resign, the unlucky new hires from the same intake have to handle the handover for those who left, as well as the handover for the new hires who came later.

There always has to be some extremely unlucky person who steps up…

When a new hire receives a call that is on the verge of becoming a customer complaint, even after escalating it and finding out the reason, the new hire still has to handle it.

I don’t think it was as exaggerated as the previous comments suggested. The tests and information I was asked to fill out were fairly reasonable. I applied for a position in the customer service department, and I could sense friendliness in the manager’s manner of speaking during the interview. They seemed like a manager who would be easy to get along with.

The HR representative was rather unreliable and frivolous. I had already mentioned several times that I was currently employed and hoped to be contacted via 104 if there were any questions, yet they kept calling during my working hours. We agreed to have a phone call to explain the job responsibilities more clearly, but they did not call at the agreed time or send any notification. It was only after I proactively followed up and rescheduled that they replied that there was a problem with the phone call. When we scheduled another call to explain things, they still did not explain any key points and only arranged the interview time. I suggest that HR be more professional.

It’s just a group of people who don’t know what they’re doing managing another group of people. They often change policies from one day to the next and are like headless flies. Managers are constantly being shuffled around. If you’re unhappy with your manager, go back to the company and ask HR to fill out a resignation form.

I have absolutely no idea what they were doing. After I went in, HR even asked whether I had filled out the personal information form. I went to the meeting room and took a test, and then they wanted me to sign some kind of personal information consent form. After the test, there was not even an interview—they simply said there were many applicants and that I would have to wait for notification, then asked me to leave. Good thing I had not filled out the personal information form completely. They were just trying to obtain my personal information. If they were going to scam people, they could at least have acted more convincingly. They treated job seekers like fools and played them.

I found the interview fairly easy, possibly because this position is relatively understaffed. Basically, as long as you communicate normally and answer the questions asked by the interviewing manager properly, you should get the job.

What I think is better is that most of the job duties were explained during the interview, although some drawbacks were not mentioned.

This company is a Japanese publicly listed company with more than 100 locations worldwide. It mainly provides outsourced customer service for large electronics companies and e-commerce companies.

Also, based on my experience so far, the colleagues in the department are quite easy to get along with. The supervisor is also the approachable and easygoing type. If you want to take leave, just notify them in advance; most leave requests are approved.

There are also three days of福利 leave during the first six months.

The job duties are also fairly simple, in my opinion. The main tasks are helping users resolve problems, properly calming and handling dissatisfied customers, and entering data accurately.

Also, because clocking in requires logging into a computer, there is a five-minute monthly grace period for lateness, and it will not affect your perfect-attendance bonus.

The company provides year-end bonuses twice a year, but whether they are paid still depends on the company’s operating results.

I think the salary is relatively low. The salary structure is:

Base salary + meal allowance + perfect-attendance bonus

Overtime is currently often required, but the supervisor will ask you first. You will only work overtime if you agree; if you do not want to, you will not be forced to stay.

Shift work is also required.

Simply put, this company is divided into e-commerce and customer service departments.

The customer service department is more or less as others have described it. The following is my experience in the e-commerce department.

Pros:

There is a good xiaolongbao restaurant near the headquarters.

There is a good Vietnamese pho restaurant near the headquarters.

You can work from home a few days a week.

The colleagues are nice.

The internal processes are extremely, extremely complicated.

The hierarchy is very pronounced.

Turnover is extremely high in every department, and I don't know why.

The company often lays people off, and I don't know why.

There is an atmosphere in the company that someone could disappear at any time.

Spent the time chatting and laughing

There are actually quite a lot.

1. It feels like a group of inexperienced kids playing house.

2. The job responsibilities are overly chaotic, yet they claim this is done to understand everything.

3. Throughout the interview, it was completely apparent that the supervisor had no understanding whatsoever of what marketing and planning are.

4. The Japanese in the Japanese-language interview was unbelievably poor. Have they ever studied Japanese? If someone with Japanese skills at this level can get in, then

I feel it would be better not to go to this company.

5. Both the HR staff and the planning supervisor gave the impression of being beginners. From this, it can be inferred that this company's turnover rate is probably

very high, which is why they let people with no social experience become supervisors.

6. The impression they give is simply that they are a group of inexperienced newcomers to the workforce!

Convenient transportation

1. During the interview, they only said it was a text-based customer service position for a well-known e-commerce company. When asked which one, the interviewer refused to say; when asked about the salary, they only replied, “The amount you see.” After joining, it turned out to be the Chinese-invested company Taobao. Six months later, it was thoroughly investigated by the Financial Supervisory Commission, and the entire project ended. Fortunately, I left after working only a few days.

2. During the training, a woman surnamed Lin named Neko had a frivolous attitude. She did not dress properly when she came in, and her bra straps were visible, which was very unprofessional. Training notes could not be taken home for review, and employee numbers could not even be copied by hand; they said it was confidential internal company information. The whole thing was inexplicable.

3. Although it was described as an outsourced customer service company for a Japanese firm, it did not feel like there was much future. Most projects were small and unstable.

4. Poor feng shui: When leaving the customer service office, there is an elevator directly outside, and the two doors face each other, creating a “main return-air sha” that prevents energy from gathering.

The customer service system is poorly built, and as if the client’s unreasonable demands weren’t enough, even the internal supervisors won’t stand by their own employees. They only exploit staff to curry favor!

While waiting for the Japanese-language interview, HR suddenly came in and said that the previous interview had run over, so they would conduct my interview instead.

The questions were also completely unrelated, and the Japanese was strange.

They were clearly just brushing me off and wasting both our time.
