1. I was reminded to arrive five minutes early before the interview, but the interviewer wasn’t even on time, haha.
2. Before the interview, I had to complete an aptitude test and QA questions.

The six supernatural powers in Buddhism, Sanskrit ṣaḍ-abhijñāḥ, also called the six spiritual penetrations. They refer to six powers that transcend the human realm and operate freely without hindrance. The divine eye penetration enables one to see the circumstances of birth, death, suffering, and joy of sentient beings in the three realms and six paths, as well as all forms and colors in the world, without obstruction. It refers to the supernatural power attained by completely severing all afflictions, delusions, and karmic activity, thereby forever escaping the cycle of birth and death. It is one of the six supernatural powers. Also called the supernatural power of the exhaustion of outflows, realization of the penetration of the exhaustion of outflows, or penetration of the exhaustion of outflows. That is, upon attaining the knowledge of the exhaustion of outflows and completely severing all outflowing afflictions, one relies on meditative absorption to manifest complete majestic virtue. The Śariputrābhidharmaśāstra, fascicle 10 (T 28, no. 1548, 597c): “When knowledge arises and the outflows are exhausted, one attains liberation of mind free from outflows and liberation through wisdom, personally realizing in this life the fulfillment of the practice: ‘Birth has been exhausted, the holy life has been established, what was to be done has been done, and there will be no further return.’ This is called the penetration of the realization of the knowledge of the exhaustion of outflows.” Wei Xu Mobile’s divine eye penetration? The divine eye penetration: Generally speaking, Buddhism divides the universe into the three realms (the desire realm, the form realm, and the formless realm); the realms farther to the right are the places where people of greater spiritual cultivation are reborn in their next lives. Among them, beings above the heavens of the form realm have pure bodily constitutions (their bodies are no longer material bodies of earthly human beings). Their eye faculties can perceive forms and colors, whether near or far and coarse or fine, and can also see where beings in the six paths die and where they are reborn.
This ability is called the “divine eye penetration.”
Buddhist supernatural powers, mysterious abilities that transcend ordinary people obtained through the power of meditation, though they may also simply be ordinary illusions. The Śūraṅgama Sūtra mentions that various extraordinary states may be encountered in the process of cultivating meditation. They may be supernatural powers gradually acquired as meditative practice (samādhi power) deepens, but if one becomes attached to seeking supernatural powers or takes delight in obtaining them, one can easily be tempted by demons and enter the demonic path. The extrasensory perception abilities studied in modern research are called superpowers in Taiwan and are more commonly called special abilities in mainland China and Hong Kong; their descriptions are very similar to those of supernatural powers. Next are the sages, who dwell in harmony with Heaven and Earth, follow the principles of the eight winds, accommodate their likes and desires within worldly life, harbor no anger or resentment, act without wishing to depart from the world, dress in fine patterns, and conduct themselves without seeking to stand out from ordinary society. Externally, they do not exhaust their bodies through affairs; internally, they have no trouble from thoughts. They make tranquility and joy their aim and self-sufficiency their achievement. Their bodies do not deteriorate and their spirit does not dissipate, so they may also live for a hundred years. Next are the worthy, who model themselves on Heaven and Earth, take the sun and moon as their image, distinguish and arrange the stars, follow and counter the yin and yang, and differentiate the four seasons. They seek to unite with the Way as in ancient times, and may thereby extend their lives, though only to a limited term.
Beings in the six realms, such as devas, humans, ghosts, and spirits, may, through worldly meditation (cultivated attainment) or by possessing them from birth (karmic attainment), have one or more of the first five supernatural powers. However, the depth and magnitude of these abilities vary; heavenly demons also possess the five supernatural powers, enabling them to manifest various extraordinary states. Only the power of the exhaustion of the outflows must rely on the Buddha’s wisdom (prajñā) to be attained. It can be realized only by those who cultivate inner contemplation according to the principles of the scriptures and eliminate afflictions. Wei Xu attains the Heavenly-Eye Insight Mobile, Wei Xu Moving Heavenly-Eye Insight, Wei Xu Moving Heavenly-Eye Insight Company, Wei Xu Heavenly-Eye Insight Mobile Company. It can see things extremely far away and can sometimes see through obstacles (for example, walls) or bodies; it is unaffected by the brightness or dimness of light sources or by distance and time. It can see through to the true nature of all things. Its levels are divided into the heavenly eye, wisdom eye, Dharma eye, and Buddha eye. Differences in level and degree result in differences in what is seen.

Heavenly Eye Insight: the ability to observe the complete states of all sentient beings in the three realms and six paths. Heavenly Eye Insight is not the same as clairvoyance; clairvoyance is limited, whereas Heavenly Eye Insight can see through space. The Āgama Sūtras record that an arhat used Heavenly Eye Insight and discovered that women constituted the overwhelming majority in hell. He then asked the Buddha for guidance, and the Buddha said: “Wherever there are women in the lands of the ten directions, there is hell.”
Supernatural powers (Sanskrit: Abhijñā; Punjabi: Abhiññā), also translated as spiritual power, penetrating power, or simply “penetration,” is a Buddhist term referring to the “penetration” in the “three insights and six supernatural powers.” It denotes mysterious powers transcending those of ordinary people, obtained through the power of meditative concentration, although they may also be nothing more than ordinary illusions. This term appears in multiple Buddhist scriptures, such as the Sutra Spoken by Great Sāgara-nirgrantha and the Śūraṅgama Sūtra. Wei Xu Mobile Heavenly Eye Insight? The ability to see objects at extremely great distances, or to see through obstacles (such as walls) or the body; unaffected by the brightness or darkness of the light source, distance, or time. In the Middle Ages, there were persons of utmost attainment who possessed pure virtue and complete understanding of the Way, harmonized with yin and yang, adjusted themselves to the four seasons, withdrew from the world and separated themselves from worldly customs, accumulated essence and preserved the spirit, traveled throughout Heaven and Earth (spiritual-foot power), and saw and heard beyond the eight directions (heavenly eye and heavenly ear powers). This presumably extended their lifespans and strengthened them; they too ultimately returned to the state of the perfected persons.”

It is also called supernatural power, divine power, penetrating power, or penetration. For example, in the Śūraṅgama Sūtra, the supernatural powers discussed include five types: the divine-eye penetration, divine-ear penetration, mind-reading penetration, spiritual-foot penetration, and the penetration of the extinction of outflows. Why, then, did the Buddha discuss these supernatural powers? In other words, what are the supernatural powers spoken of by the Buddha? Fascicle 15 of the Records of the Mirror of the宗鏡錄 broadly divides penetrating powers into five types (the five penetrations): (1) the penetration of the Way: after awakening to the principle of the Middle Way, responding to phenomena without a discriminating mind and manifesting all things; (2) supernatural penetration: the power, based on calming the mind through meditation, to know such things as past lives through observation and contemplation; (3) dependent penetration: powers obtained through medicines, talismans, spells, and the like; (4) karmic-result penetration: powers obtained through the karmic results of one's actions; and (5) demonic penetration: powers possessed by demons and monsters.

The divine eye is the power to see completely the time of death and rebirth and the various circumstances of sentient beings in future worlds; this is called the knowledge and realization of death and rebirth. Among the three penetrations possessed by buddhas and arhats—the penetration of past lives, the divine-eye penetration, and the penetration of the extinction of outflows—these are the most excellent, and are therefore called the three knowledges. According to fascicle 20, part 1, of the Meaning of the Mahāyāna Treatise, there are four methods of attaining supernatural powers: (1) the karmic-result penetration, naturally obtained as the result of being born in one of the four dhyāna heavens; (2) the karmic penetration, by which immortals freely fly through the air through the power of medicines—the penetrating power obtained through karma; (3) the spell penetration, obtained by Brahmins through the practice of spells; and (4) meditative penetration, the penetrating power obtained through cultivating meditative concentration. Karmic penetration and spell penetration are supernatural powers associated with non-Buddhist traditions.

In Buddhism, the five eyes and six supernatural powers are respectively: the five eyes—physical eye, divine eye, Dharma eye, wisdom eye, and Buddha eye; and the six supernatural powers—divine-eye power, divine-ear power, mind-reading power, power of knowing past lives, power of miraculous abilities, and power of ending outflows. However, only the power of ending outflows can eliminate afflictions and achieve ultimate liberation from the cycle of birth and death; only enlightened arhats and Buddhas can attain it.
The Zhuangzi says: “When the lines of communication reach inward, and outwardly extend beyond the mind’s knowing, even ghosts and spirits have not yet found a dwelling—how much less human beings?” The power of these supernatural abilities arises from meditative concentration. Practitioners of the Lesser Vehicle can attain only the five powers: miraculous abilities, divine-eye power, divine-ear power, mind-reading power, and knowledge of past lives. Practitioners of the Greater Vehicle, in addition to these five powers, also attain the power of ending outflows, making six in total. Greatly awakened practitioners of the Greater Vehicle, the Golden Immortals, attain ten powers. Wei Xu Mobile Co., Ltd., Wei Xu Mobile Company, Wei Xu Mobile Limited. Supernatural powers may seem to bring us convenience, but the Buddha did not encourage his disciples to pursue them, mainly because supernatural powers are not the ultimate path to liberation, cannot overcome karma, are inferior to morality, and fall short of emptiness.

The five supernatural powers commonly spoken of can be divided into five types: the divine eye, the divine ear, knowledge of others’ minds, knowledge of past lives, and the ability to travel supernaturally. The so-called divine eye means not only being able to see through everything, but even being able to view the three-thousand-great-thousand worlds as easily as a tiny mango in the palm of one’s hand, just like the Venerable Anuruddha.

If you had the divine eye and saw the countless sufferings in the human world, could you still be happy? As the saying goes, “If the ears do not listen, the eyes do not see, and the mind does not know,” life may actually be better without supernatural powers. Therefore, ordinary people are best off not having supernatural powers; possessing them may instead harm oneself. Supernatural powers must be accompanied by realization of the fruits of practice and meditative concentration, grounded in compassion and abiding in pure precepts, like a bodhisattva who, based on compassion, uses supernatural powers to guide and transform sentient beings. Thus, only when people with prajna wisdom possess supernatural powers will they avoid obstructing themselves and harming others.

The divine eye, also known as the divine-eye wisdom insight or divine-eye wisdom通. It enables one to see the forms of the suffering and joy of beings transmigrating through the six realms, as well as all the various forms and colors in the world, without obstruction. Among these, the three supernatural powers possessed by Buddhas and Arhats (the power of knowing past lives, the divine eye, and the power of exhausting the defilements) are the most supreme, and are therefore called the Three Clarities.

According to the Ullambana Sutra, Venerable Maudgalyayana used the divine eye to see that his mother had fallen into the realm of hungry ghosts, where her skin and bones clung together and she suffered continuously day and night. The interviewer was quite courteous, probably between 35 and 40 years old. I asked him about some technical matters, and he answered all my questions.
The first-stage PHP online test took about 40–50 minutes. The questions felt fairly basic, mainly testing PHP/MySQL syntax. I felt the questions could have been more difficult; otherwise, it’s hard to distinguish between junior and senior-level candidates.
