Smart people know to come to Tianyancha to see the real internal situation of every company. Regardless of the position, if you are in sales and want to work for this traditional manufacturing company, you can really skip it. The salary is too low. You not only have to develop clients, but also have to learn repairs first. A monthly salary of NT$35,000 is really too little. The electric hospital bed market is highly competitive and saturated. Even when receiving many hospital orders, most have very low gross margins or negative gross margins, so it is impossible to raise performance. There is basically no opportunity for a salary increase; it is simply an industry with little room for development.

This company has some strange rules. There is a meal allowance, but you need an invoice or receipt for every meal to claim reimbursement. Some small eateries do not provide receipts, which is very troublesome. Also, most sales staff drive their own cars on business trips and have to pay the expenses upfront, then write a business-trip report each month to apply for reimbursement and a fuel allowance. If you apply for NT$10,000, you need NT$5,000 worth of gas-station receipts, so you even have to ask family members to help collect receipts… Accounts receivable is also handled by sales and repair staff, who have to urge customers to pay. Some payments are delayed because of internal hospital issues, so chasing payments can sometimes be very frustrating. Sales staff receive no overtime pay whether they make deliveries in the early morning or work late at night. If they work overtime on holidays, they can only apply for compensatory leave. For meetings at the headquarters, sales staff also have to travel to the Taoyuan headquarters. If there is an exhibition, they have to provide support as well. It is difficult to stay long at a company like this; the salary is too low and the work is too demanding.

This traditional industry company bases its starting salaries on the average salaries for each industry listed on job banks. Most of the time, it offers the lowest salaries in the traditional industry sector. Although the data compiled by job banks is accurate, it also contributes to a low-wage environment. The company’s accountant even called a job bank to ask why its job postings had been up for so long without attracting many applicants. No wonder this company never improves—it does not reflect on itself, but instead questions the job bank…

The headquarters is in Taoyuan, with offices in Taichung and Tainan as well. The owners of Qiangshengxing and Shengxing are the same person. For most positions, even with starting salaries in the low NT$30,000s, there may not be many people interested, yet the company still only offers the legally mandated minimum wage. This company generally follows the Labor Standards Act, but the starting salary for some positions is actually illegal. Based on the current minimum wage of NT$27,470, perfect-attendance bonuses cannot be included in that amount. Anyone planning to interview is advised to ask clearly about the salary structure. The company has posted so many job openings on job banks that even the maintenance technician position has three different starting salaries. Wouldn’t a normal person hesitate about whether to submit a résumé after seeing that? When a job posting remains on a job bank for one or two years, becoming a perennial vacancy, will anyone still want to apply? The electric hospital-bed industry is very demanding. If the pay is low either way, I would honestly rather work in another industry. This is an old company that lives forever in the comfort zone of traditional thinking and does not know how to adapt.

The turnover rate among maintenance personnel at the Tainan office is very high. The starting salary is NT$28,000–30,000, and there is no guarantee of a salary adjustment after the probationary period. The southern office consists of one sales assistant, one southern-region sales manager, one southern-region salesperson, and two maintenance personnel. The head office is in Taoyuan. When staffing is insufficient, maintenance personnel from the Taichung office occasionally come south to provide support. The job involves handling warranty service and repairs for hospital, long-term care, school, and clinic beds in Tainan, Kaohsiung, Pingtung, and Taitung, as well as assisting the sales team with bed deliveries. If a customer specifies a delivery time of 3 or 4 a.m., you must accommodate it. Working hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Starting work before 8 a.m. qualifies for overtime pay, but working past 5 p.m. does not.

The company is undergoing digital transformation, so maintenance personnel must not only be proficient at repairs but also highly skilled with office software and computers.

Before being assigned a company vehicle, you must use your personal LINE account to contact customers. The company uses the CHENG HANG system. Under the original workflow, maintenance personnel prepared a quotation and submitted it for approval. The company has now introduced the SKY FAMILY app system; only after the entire repair process is completed is the data automatically transferred to CHENG HANG. The company's maintenance personnel all feel that the new app system is not very user-friendly and that it seems to have increased their workload. Regarding invoicing, many customers request in-person delivery, so you also have to wait for the accountant at the Taichung office to mail the invoices to the south, then find time to deliver them personally to the customers.

This company has no HR department. A long list of job openings has been posted on the job bank for a long time, and department managers conduct the interviews themselves. If they cannot find anyone for an extended period, they raise the starting salary to attract applicants to interviews. You have to attend the interview to find out the actual starting salary. The headquarters is in Taoyuan, with offices in Taichung and Tainan. They prefer candidates with work experience relevant to the position and are not very interested in completely inexperienced newcomers.

This is a traditional industry company that has been in business for more than 20 years. Its sales operations are divided into export and domestic sales, with domestic sales accounting for a relatively high proportion. Apart from the two senior domestic sales managers, staff turnover is high. The domestic sales manager has good performance, handles hospital accounts, and is responsible for managing sales and maintenance personnel. He has strong sales ability. Perhaps because this industry is demanding, newly hired salespeople do not stay long. The other senior domestic sales manager is a company veteran responsible for southern Taiwan and long-term care center accounts. He has poor communication and sales skills and even needs the domestic sales manager to help him conduct bid openings. His management ability is also poor, and he uses working hours to attend to personal matters. He is irresponsible and has an arrogant attitude. I really do not understand why this company employs someone like that. The long-term employees have no ambition, and the gross profit on most orders is pitifully low. This company has very high personnel costs, and after adding other expenses, its profitability has worsened year after year since the pandemic. Bonuses and benefits have naturally decreased as well. All I can say is that there are too many companies that only look good on the outside; it would not be surprising if this company suddenly went out of business one day.

This company is more suitable for people who are close to retirement or those who only want to accumulate work experience before changing jobs.
