This traditional industry company bases its starting salaries on the average salaries for each industry listed on job banks. Most of the time, it offers the lowest salaries in the traditional industry sector. Although the data compiled by job banks is accurate, it also contributes to a low-wage environment. The company’s accountant even called a job bank to ask why its job postings had been up for so long without attracting many applicants. No wonder this company never improves—it does not reflect on itself, but instead questions the job bank…
The headquarters is in Taoyuan, with offices in Taichung and Tainan as well. The owners of Qiangshengxing and Shengxing are the same person. For most positions, even with starting salaries in the low NT$30,000s, there may not be many people interested, yet the company still only offers the legally mandated minimum wage. This company generally follows the Labor Standards Act, but the starting salary for some positions is actually illegal. Based on the current minimum wage of NT$27,470, perfect-attendance bonuses cannot be included in that amount. Anyone planning to interview is advised to ask clearly about the salary structure. The company has posted so many job openings on job banks that even the maintenance technician position has three different starting salaries. Wouldn’t a normal person hesitate about whether to submit a résumé after seeing that? When a job posting remains on a job bank for one or two years, becoming a perennial vacancy, will anyone still want to apply? The electric hospital-bed industry is very demanding. If the pay is low either way, I would honestly rather work in another industry. This is an old company that lives forever in the comfort zone of traditional thinking and does not know how to adapt.
