Pros

The company is actually rather pitiful lately.

Mazda’s poor sales have led to order cuts.

With the orders cut, the glorious and wonderful performance figures naturally disappear.

What should we do once they’re gone?

Naturally, everyone sees us constantly looking for news reporters to cover how great the company is.

We’re making huge profits.

We’re getting ready to go public on the Emerging Stock Market.

Buckle up.

We’re about to take off.

After taking off, I suppose the next step will be a crash.

At this point, the company only has Tesla producing in large volumes.

Even with large-scale production,

I guess annual revenue is still under 1 billion!

So annual revenue may plunge from nearly 3 billion last year to just over 1 billion.

To strive for an Emerging Stock Market listing,

release news,

and the next step, I think, is a capital increase.

============================

Take care, everyone.

I feel that the company’s prospects are not looking good.

Next, employees will probably be forced to take extended leave.

If extended leave isn’t enough, it’ll be a three-day weekend every week.

Then there may be another round of layoffs.

In any case, the company has already gone through several rounds of layoffs since Mazda cut its orders.

One more round probably won’t make much difference.

Don’t believe the positive news.

It’s all fake.

All the supervisors in the Technical Department, from the vice president down to the section chief, have resigned. The manager in charge of the Marketing Department also resigned and even sent faxes all over the place to various vendors…

Cons

There is no management system; as long as you can brag, you're considered good.

Pros

For an order of 700 electric vehicle motors, sales staff from northern, central, and southern Taiwan are required to provide support, and they are also expected to work overtime. They require support for an order of this size, and say it will take a quarter or even longer… The company shuttle from Taichung’s Fengyuan and Shengang areas also requires employees to arrive at work 40 minutes early and departs 30 minutes late after work, with no allowance or subsidy whatsoever. The turnover rate at the Taichung sales office is very high… It is recommended that you do not join unless you have a good reason.

Cons

700 units; this quantity is extremely impressive.

ㄙㄎㄎㄓSlacking off and making money is really easy~~~~

Cons

ㄙㄎSection Chief, stop slacking off. In meetings, whenever someone asks you something, you know nothing and can only say, “I’ll check on it later.” Then you dump the problems on Engineering—or the team leader—to solve. Don’t drag Futa’s reputation through the mud. And don’t act like a beggar, constantly mooching drinks and food off people! Looks like lying around at Futa and getting paid is just too comfortable; you don’t even realize how swollen your body has become. You have little ability, but you put on quite the official airs. You’re only a section chief, yet you throw your weight around all day long. Even the managers, deputy general managers, and general manager don’t act as important as you do. Do you know that people in other departments, other engineers, and the employees under you are all cursing you to death? Oh, you don’t—after all, you’ve been living too comfortably at Futa, and the money you’ve earned has piled up as pounds of fat on your face, turning into thick skin. How would you know? Wasn’t your name on the last layoff list? Were you happy and thinking you were so great? Don’t celebrate too soon. Hiding behind someone else’s power—sooner or later, it’ll be your turn. Before then, learn how to be a decent, polite human being... Don’t forget what Futa’s Mr. Chang once said. Act accordingly.

This is one seriously awesome message board—everyone here knows way too much.

We’ve personally experienced all kinds of situations and seen plenty of ups and downs here.

Whatever storms come in the future won’t seem like much.

Just adding a little note: a certain section-level manager needs to try harder.

Do the work, conduct yourself well, and be a good manager too.

Keep it up <3

P.S. The person downstairs needs to face reality—I also had 5 days deducted.

To this day, I still don’t understand why. I hope you can come to terms with it :D

The announcement said 34 days’ worth as the year-end bonus.

My performance review was normal, and then money was deducted.

If you fucking didn’t want to give that much, then don’t issue an announcement bullshitting people.

Fuck your mother, you only play favorites with certain departments.

Only certain departments can get this much.

It’s the first time I’ve ever encountered having money deducted from my bonus despite receiving a normal performance review.

Fuck your mother.

Those who are thinking of joining really need to consider it carefully.

Fukuta initially made a name for itself through Tesla,

and then there was no “then.”

After losing Tesla’s large orders,

the company’s revenue did not continue to expand either,

remaining stagnant at just over NT$900 million in annual revenue.

Later, after finally being introduced to Mazda,

it had no choice but to grit its teeth and see it through.

Tesla could no longer provide large orders,

and the core business could not grow its performance either.

Could you not fight on?

But once it did, things got serious.

The company burned through money until it was nearly unable to bear it,

reaching a point where its survival was hanging by a thread.

Revenue did not grow,

so where did the money for the Mazda investment come from?

Do you understand now why it issued a press release saying it was preparing to go public on the Emerging Stock Market???

The company’s marketing is also quite laughable.

There are probably more people in marketing than in R&D.

What is marketing doing?

With so many people, performance has not improved much either.

The reason revenue grew from just over NT$900 million to NT$1.5–1.6 billion over the past two years was actually shipments of Mazda samples.

The core business is naturally still in the same sorry state.

What exactly is marketing doing?

Oh! Translating.

They are listed under marketing but do translation work,

interpreting at customer meetings.

I think they might as well add a department called the Translation Section.

As far as I can see, marketing is not doing any marketing at all!!!

The price of one complete Fukuta-Mazda assembly is approximately what is stated in the news article below:

https://www.businesstoday.com.tw/article/category/154769/post/201911270033/

A Japanese automaker has already placed orders for at least 60,000 sets annually, with a total value exceeding NT$5 billion, for the new product.

Zhang Jinfeng confidently disclosed that, in addition to currently being priced at more than NT$100,000 per unit, the “three-machines-in-one” module could receive orders for at least 60,000 sets annually in the future.

Using NT$5.5 billion for 60,000 sets,

let’s say one complete assembly costs NT$100,000.

Actually, it is not as many as 60,000 sets—

it is fewer than 20,000 sets.

Annual revenue would be approximately NT$2 billion,

plus the previous annual revenue of just over NT$900 million,

so future revenue would be approximately NT$3 billion.

However, the news said mass production would begin in 2021.

It is already 2023.

You can see how much more time and money have been spent by now.

In the following press release, Fukuta said it invested more than NT$2 billion in the new Tongluo plant:

https://www.bnext.com.tw/article/61330/tesla-fukuta

The company profile on 104 states that it invested NT$2.5 billion:

“Our Phase 2 plant in Tongluo Science Park was completed and began operations in the third quarter of 2020, with a total investment of NT$2.5 billion.”

The press release below states that testing costs were NT$1 billion:

https://www.chinatimes.com/newspapers/20220802000330-260210

In total, NT$3.5 billion has already been spent on the Tongluo plant and the Mazda project.

Those interested can calculate Fukuta’s recent gross profit, operating profit, and net income after tax for themselves,

and then estimate how long it will take to earn back NT$3.5 billion....

What is even worse is that

the production lines inside the new plant have not actually been fully set up.

At present, only the first project that Mazda is preparing for mass production has been opened,

and naturally there is only one set of equipment for it.....

Even the air conditioning has not been installed properly.

I also do not really understand why the plant has been built but the air conditioning has not been installed properly.

So at present, Mazda’s production line only has the project Mazda is currently preparing for mass production.

Nothing else is ready yet.

Those interested in joining really need to think it through carefully.

It is not as if you will make a huge amount of money, as you may imagine.

Instead, the dozens of thousands of sets claimed in the news do not exist,

the production lines and the entire plant are not fully ready,

and mass production has not begun yet.

Money is still being poured in,

and no one knows when mass production can begin.

It is also unknown whether operations will be stable after mass production starts.

Everything in the news is presented as positive news only.

Cons

Think it over carefully.

“Overtime pay” and 厶ㄎ’s ㄎ 長熟 take you to heaven; after work, you go out to eat together, eat until you’re full, then return to the company to clock in and work overtime. Overtime is fully counted, guaranteeing that you’ll eat and drink your fill while your salary keeps rising.

A section chief can have three assistants, but only the “section chief” is entitled to them. Managers, deputy managers, and associate managers get none. Ah—and the general manager also has one special assistant, but still loses out.

Sections of 30–50 people are, because of the supervisor, made to look like *Empresses in the Palace*: fighting and fighting~ competing for favor?? Loyalty??

Cons

Without a supervisor to pay your respects to, your life will be extremely difficult.

Your stomach will be bloated every day from eating too many big pancakes, which are easy to have trouble digesting.

Futian, whose competitive edge lies in innovation and thinking outside the box, currently has a research and development team of nearly 100 people. However, this is still insufficient to handle T Brand’s production expansion and the development of new vehicle models for Japanese automakers. Therefore, the company publicly challenged the “National Guardian Mountain” for talent competition. Unexpectedly, it attracted some talent who had left major semiconductor companies and were willing to pursue their ideals on a new track. Chang Chin-Feng said that Futian has invested more than NT$1 billion in testing and R&D in recent years. The company’s open management philosophy gives R&D personnel opportunities to realize their own innovative ideas, which has enabled it to attract talent from major semiconductor companies.

Cons

A company that is confident in itself, yet its salaries and benefits are completely outclassed by major semiconductor companies. R&D personnel have opportunities to realize their own innovative ideas—just opportunities, though. Usually, one sentence from a customer is enough to make your opportunity seem hopeless! With conditions like these, it can attract talent from major semiconductor companies!

Not really.

Cons

The motor testing environment inside the factory at the Tongluo plant is really terrible.

They just find an open area to install the motor test platform,

and then people conduct tests nearby,

without any safety protection whatsoever.

At ITRI, the motor testing laboratory places the test platform inside a room,

while people conduct the tests outside the room.

The people and the machine are separated.

Even if something goes wrong during testing, at least it happens inside the room,

so the likelihood of someone getting injured is much lower.

But Fuda's testing environment...呵呵...

Let's hope nothing goes wrong with the test platform and no one gets injured.

Unless you live in Tongluo and want to come here to make friends,

there’s no reason to come.

A little farther north, there are tech companies in Zhunan and Zhubei offering higher salaries.

Why come work in traditional manufacturing?

Don’t be lured in by the “Tesla supplier” title.

The company just keeps talking about building a solid foundation:

The lower you crouch, the higher you can jump.

But your legs go numb and you can’t stand back up.

Tesla is even laying off employees and saying the economic cycle has turned around.

Futian crouched so long to build a foundation that when everyone else was making big profits,

it didn’t make any money.

It crouched until the economic cycle turned around—truly remarkable.

Go to bed early and sleep well.

If you can't negotiate a salary of NT$50,000–60,000, you probably shouldn't come.

The organization was recently restructured.

A newly established R&D Department 2 was created,

and the Electrical Controls Section was transferred to R&D Department 2.

The Electrical Controls Section has only three employees,

yet they made it a new department with three employees,

then divided it into three sections, each with one employee.

In my view, the Electrical Controls Section is basically just a bunch of freeloaders.

They haven't produced a single drive, yet they continue to leech off the motor business's revenue.

It would already be good enough if they were laid off,

yet a new department was even established for them.

Come on, you've got to be kidding.

They only know how to grab resources without doing any work—they're basically a bunch of useless people.

Cons

The company’s information security is really terrible.

They spend all day sending phishing emails for no reason,

tracking who failed to notice and clicked on them.

I don’t know whether they’ve even implemented the most basic domain blocking.

They keep using domains that replace “tw” with “tuu” to deceive people.

Do they have nothing better to do?

The overtime system at ezflow is also pitiful.

When reporting overtime, employees have to enter a project code.

The system does not have the project codes set up for you to select.

They make you enter it yourself in the overtime description.

So what is the purpose of entering the code?

Are they going to assign someone else to calculate how much manpower each project used?

If the system were properly set up, it could automatically pull out the records.

They can’t even handle something this simple.

ezflow often sends notifications unrelated to one’s own work.

I don’t know why so many people have to receive order notifications.

Can’t they just let us configure exactly who should receive the notifications?

They spend all day receiving order notifications.

What does that have to do with me?

Speaking of tracking time,

there is no system recording how many hours are spent each day on which projects.

So how are you supposed to improve labor costs

or improve project expenses?

They keep shouting about increasing revenue and reducing expenditure,

but I think they’re just letting money leak everywhere.

For new employees,

they don’t even set up ERP accounts and functions by default.

As the department responsible for managing the ERP system,

they don’t know which ERP functions each department needs.

They even make employees go into the system to apply for ERP accounts and functions.

What are they doing?

If I were a newcomer and didn’t know which functions needed to be enabled,

wouldn’t that be setting me up to fail?

Previously, they even wanted to cut off everyone’s internet access,

saying they were afraid of malware.

Anyone who needed internet access had to apply to have it enabled themselves.

If you’re afraid of malware, you cut off the internet?

Why not just have everyone switch to writing with notebooks?

Might as well stop using computers altogether.

That’s throwing out the baby with the bathwater—what a joke.

The administration department is pitiful too.

There is a vehicle reservation system,

but they don’t require everyone to reserve vehicles through the system.

The company has three sites:

some people write vehicle reservations on a whiteboard,

some write them on paper,

and some reserve vehicles through the system.

People often reserve a vehicle through the system, only to find that the vehicle is gone.

Is messing with people really that amusing?

1. The HR representative was quite nice during the interview, but had done absolutely no preparation and hadn’t even read my résumé; it was unclear what they were doing.

2. The new plant in Miaoli is spacious, very new, and practically deserted.

Cons

1. Before the interview, I specifically asked HR whether a video interview would be possible (to avoid making a wasted trip just so HR could meet a performance quota), but they refused. However, when I went to Miaoli for the interview, the manager felt that my experience didn’t match the position.

2. The manager directly asked why I had written an expected salary of 40,000. He said Taichung rates should be discounted by 40%............

3. Employee housing in Miaoli costs NT$2,000 per month, with two people to a room, and there are no amenities nearby.

4. They emphasized the Tesla charging stations, but the site was so sparsely populated that there was even less reason to expect any Teslas there... Yeah, a vision, a vision.

I interviewed for a quality assurance position at the Miaoli plant in the first half of 2019; one year of relevant experience was required.

1. The supervisor said everything complies with the Labor Standards Act, and overtime can be paid or compensated with time off in lieu.

2. The environment looked pretty good, considering it is a traditional industry.

3. The supervisor looked quite young. During the process, I felt that their education and experience must have been exceptional.

4. The senior supervisor (manager?) was somewhat serious; I felt they were looking for someone with considerable experience.

Cons

1. Starting salaries in traditional industries may not be high.

I never worked there, so I don't know what the advantages are.

Cons

1. I interviewed for a mechanical designer position. The supervisor interviewed two candidates at once and asked about our salary expectations together. As a result, the other candidate heard my asking salary. That supervisor didn't even have the common sense to keep salary information confidential, despite bragging that they had been there for 10 years.

2. They said they would respond within a week regardless of whether I was hired. Not only did they fail to respond, but when I called to ask, they lied and said the boss was too busy with business matters to handle personnel issues. After asking a friend who works there, I found out that the truth had been deliberately concealed.
