Pros

Strong air conditioning

Cons

1. Senior management loves making empty promises and thinks they are clever.

They often make laughable decisions or decisions with no clear future direction,

because they come up with unrealistic plans without thinking them through.

So the execution process and results are predictable.

2. Policies frequently change, and the reasons are not convincing either.

They only want to use a bunch of excuses and corporate-speak to package things (for both customers and employees).

3. Low pay! And the result of low pay is that the people hired

are sometimes not ready to contribute immediately or just cause trouble. Although some positions are essentially disposable,

the employee turnover is high, and the company probably does not care anyway.

4. Employee turnover is high, and the people hired in are... combined with gaps in handovers,

the work content and efficiency can only be described as "miserable," and the results are also "miserable."

5. (For inexplicable reasons,) some job duties include handling certain tasks despite the person not being specialized in them.

In nicer terms, this is called departmental rotation; put bluntly, it is....

If you refuse to take the advice and still want to go, experience it for yourself!

Some advice for those who come after: do not be fooled by the company name.

Esports is just a sugar-coated package; it will not make money and has no future.

My sincere advice is not to even entertain the thought of joining just to coast for a while.

Coming here is "very likely" to make you, at some point in the future,

wonder why you ever wasted time here.

The supervisor is very supportive, and as long as you do your assigned work well, the supervisor usually won’t give you a hard time.

Cons

The boss goes back on his word. Even if he has promised you something, if he is in a bad mood, everything can be scrapped. The chief operating officer is even more of a rules-and-procedures fanatic, creating all kinds of bizarre policies. When you propose a new idea, he won’t oppose or reject it, but when you are close to completing it, he starts picking out all kinds of doubts and problems and questioning whether it benefits the company, ultimately causing all your efforts to come to nothing. In any case, if you ask around in the industry, you’ll know that the company is notorious for lacking integrity. As Lao Gao says, credibility represents money: without credibility, even if the salary is advertised as high, you can still be tricked into joining and then have it slashed several times.

Pros

The salary is always paid on time, and the air conditioning is very strong! There’s a 7-Eleven downstairs, and getting there by MRT... is fairly convenient, I guess!

Cons

The business development manager is the boss’s girlfriend. (Anyone who’s been here a long time probably knows, right?) But I was only indirectly warned after joining that I shouldn’t offend the business development manager—otherwise, I’d be the one getting targeted. (I heard the execution and event-planning teams were treated terribly.)

After all, the boss really “trusts” the business development manager.

Generally speaking, the founder has a lot of ideas and is good at painting a rosy picture, but when it’s actually time to make a decision, they don’t dare commit....

It’s faster to just go ask the business development manager.

But the business development manager only knows how to “do sales.” Their professional skills aren’t particularly strong, though they have good relationships with clients—it’s a very traditional sales style~~~

This place markets itself under the dream of esports, but in reality operates with the work content of a traditional Taiwanese company. For people who have dreams and ideals for esports, it isn’t what you imagine. Although the company runs an esports community media outlet, you still have to curry favor with clients. However, I’ve heard that if a client isn’t willing to cooperate, the editors are told to publish negative coverage, so the client will have no choice but to come back and place an advertising deal.

I also heard from colleagues on the execution team that the figures in reports have to be adjusted before they’re sent out.....otherwise, clients will notice.

In short, it’s just not as great as the boss makes it sound~

“Run for your lives!”

There’s a 7-Eleven right downstairs, so it’s very convenient.

Cons

If you want to challenge yourself, welcome here—because the boss and clients are always challenging you.

People in the decision-making circle just move their mouths while those below them run themselves ragged.

Decisions that have been made may be changed again the next day.

Things go smoothly when the two bosses are in a good mood. When they’re in a bad mood (which is most of the time), everyone has to tread carefully.

Meetings are like being called into the disciplinary office, with people brought in one by one to be scolded.

Salaries are frozen, but they’ll use persuasive tactics to PUA you.

They’ll have you take on a managerial role and train newcomers without adjusting your salary.

They say there will be bonuses if performance targets are met, but I’ve never received one.

I also suggest that people with experience in the gaming industry stay away from this place.

You’ll only become disillusioned with the industry.

Pros

I really can't think of any.

Cons

People often say that if you only offer bananas, you can only hire monkeys… This company not only offers just bananas, but also expects you to be as versatile as Sun Wukong.

Pros

Salary is paid on time

There are team-dinner benefits

Cons

A culture of infighting, with too many departments. Although everyone is working for the company, some people still deliberately undermine others

There are many redundant employees. Some people can arrive late and leave early without having their performance reviewed

Salaries are on the low-to-middle end. The company expects people to be ready to hit the ground running, but the salaries offered are hard to compliment. Although there is a salary adjustment system, the room for growth is quite limited

The company is gradually becoming a family business, where bad money drives out good

That's all I have to say. Young people considering joining should take note themselves—don't end up being stabbed in the back one day without even realizing it

There is not much to say about the redundant employees within the system. After all, it is the company, not the employees, that pays the salaries

Pros

The supervisor is easy to talk to, and there are quite a lot of places to eat nearby.

Cons

Inconvenient transportation. The interview wasn’t too difficult—just be honest about your areas of expertise and your capabilities, and so on.

During the interview, I already realized that, in addition to the low salary, there were far too many job responsibilities.

A standard tragedy of the gaming industry.

I interviewed for a marketing position and received an offer,

but the salary offered was too low. It felt like my expertise wasn’t valued, so I declined it.

Pros

The technical department is divided into two factions: web app

The web team has backend experts, and the products are interesting.

The organization is flat.

Cons

Salaries are relatively low, and expectations are heavily cut.

The organization is very small and seems like a sweatshop.

Pros

There are experts in the technical department.

The development model involves two people developing simultaneously.

The technical manager seems quite approachable.

Cons

Only being proficient in two areas qualifies you as a senior engineer (this wasn’t said by someone in a technical role, but by the department manager).

The salary is not high.

No sound card.
