Pros

Colleagues are young, lively, and kind

Cons

The management lacks strategic capabilities.

It can take a year to develop a feature and still make zero progress.

When responding to competitors, they sometimes say they want to differentiate themselves, then turn around and say they want to copy the competitor’s approach.

They announce the development of a new product line, but have not thought through the business model, goals, or strategy; six months later, progress is still at zero.

Their management capabilities are also very poor.

They are either managers who merely ask about weekly progress as a formality,

or managers who let their subordinates work themselves to death and work overtime up to the legal limit, leaving the issue unresolved for half a year.

Pros

When applying to hahow, you have to submit a presentation assignment at the same time. Only after both the presentation and résumé pass review do you get an interview opportunity.

Previously, I saw someone on another website say that hahow would not notify applicants whether they had an interview opportunity, leaving job seekers waiting indefinitely.

This time, I submitted my résumé and presentation through the official website, and hahow automatically replied the next day to say that they had received the materials.

A week later, I received a notification saying, “[The materials reviewed did not meet the job requirements]” XD

I guess that counts as an improvement!?

The wording in the email was quite polite, and I felt that there was a basic level of respect.

Cons

1. They did not specifically explain what did not meet the job requirements

2. Preparing the presentation took quite a lot of time

Pros

In case anyone doesn't know, “思哈股份有限公司” is hahow

Cons

I have to say that, to some extent, HR represents a company's image, but Hahow's HR is really absurd. Their attitude on the phone was flippant and careless, and the interview invitation email was also full of errors. To be honest, after the interview, I felt that the interviewee's time had been rather wasted. Overall, I suggest that the company fire that HR employee—it would be less embarrassing for the company. What's wrong with the company? The HR^^

Pros

Good to talk to

Cons

The people are very easy to talk to, probably because the team is relatively young.

Through the conversations, I could roughly tell that they use quite a lot of technology, but it felt like they have some established stereotypes in terms of architecture design. I do not quite agree with some of their technical concepts, which also makes me worry that they may have issues with overengineering. Regarding this point, it is probably possible to guess why so many people have extremely long interviews but still do not pass: the technical candidates they want to hire seem to be people who share the same design philosophy as them, which is hard to come by. If you really joined, you probably could not finish exploring all the technology even after several years.

However, compared with the other companies I have interviewed with, it is, overall, above average. It is also nice to make friends through interviews.

[Interview]

When submitting your résumé, you are required to attach a presentation assignment planning a marketing campaign for a specified topic. During the phone interview, after listening to it, HR was willing to share areas for improvement.

Cons

I spent time preparing the presentation for the first stage, only to get stuck at the first-stage HR screening and never even learn the detailed information about the position afterward. It was a huge waste of time, and I later found that the salary level was quite average as well. I hope they will not waste job seekers’ time like this.

Pros

I don't know

Cons

It's simply mistreating the candidates

HR doesn't keep their word

And the entire multi-stage interview process

seemed extremely unprofessional

It wasted time, and I even submitted a report along with reports from past projects

Heh heh, with ulterior motives

Pros

The terms offered are very enticing, and the marketing looks good on the surface.

Cons

The position has been open for nearly five months, and there is still an ongoing vacancy.

This must be what people refer to as a “permanent job opening”—just another form of advertising, or perhaps there is some ulterior motive.

If you really are hiring, I don’t know whether your company is simply too picky about candidates.

I feel that if you are too particular, those high-quality candidates will also have better options. I still recommend that your company not resort to these kinds of petty tactics.

As a startup, don’t ruin your own reputation.
