Read the community guidelinesThe company is located in a very prestigious building and places importance on corporate social responsibility.
The company emphasizes corporate social responsibility but is stingy with its employees; it is full of self-important old-timers, internal communication is extremely inefficient, and management is highly superstitious.
Pros: Although I left some time ago, I have a strong impression of this company. I’ll start with the advantages:
1. Working hours are fairly regular. Compared with the design firms I worked for previously, they are much more employee-friendly~
2. The bosses are very committed to running the company, with particular emphasis on corporate responsibility. There is almost a CSR activity every month, where employees are taken to do good deeds.
3. Employee health is highly valued. In addition to occasionally distributing healthy food products, the company also allows employees to take free classes at the group’s own yoga studio.
4. There is plenty of room to apply your skills and ideas at work.
5. The colleagues are all very nice. Basically, this is a company without bad people (although people’s philosophies may differ to some extent).
1. The salary and benefits cannot compare with those of foreign companies; most policies follow the basic requirements of the Labor Standards Act.
2. This is a company with over 60 years of history, and most employees have been with the company for a very long time. It takes extra time to communicate new ideas brought in by newcomers.
There is a partnered yoga studio where you can attend classes for free, but you also need to have the time.
The interview puts on a big show, but the gap after joining is huge.
There is a hiring freeze, but many people, including me, have resigned. So if a position opens up, it is probably because so many people have left that they had no choice but to open one. There is a high chance you will be worked to death after joining, and the workload was already heavy to begin with. They like to use one person as two.
This is a company that is not generous to its employees. The promised performance bonus was not paid, there were no salary increases, no holiday bonuses, and of course no year-end bonus.
They do not recognize your contributions or abilities. Instead, they criticize and accuse you of unfounded things.
When there is a problem, they do not clarify it. They simply go around saying that you have problems that do not exist and disparage your character.
Generally, you can work regular hours (that was the case for me at the time, but after many people left, one person might have to do the work of several, so leaving on time may no longer be possible).
Save whoever you can: I do not recommend applying for any position at this company.
Its prospects have been getting worse in recent years, and salary increases have been frozen.
Before joining, they originally said there would be a year-end bonus, but in reality, there may not be one.
Internal communication lacks efficiency.
The work atmosphere is poor (the atmosphere within some senior employees’ circles is still OK, but those circles are very exclusive and difficult to integrate into).
During interviews, they portray the company as very good, but once you actually join, the gap is quite significant.
There are times when the workload is quite relaxed. The company's in-service education is slightly better compared with other companies outside.
For field staff, there is no vehicle subsidy; everything is included in the mileage allowance, which is essentially requiring you to provide a car for the company to use for free. If you don't drive, you don't get paid. They want employees to carpool or take public transportation when driving for company business, but in short, they just want to get a free ride while still requiring you to provide your own vehicle.
Due to operational issues, they can use the second clause to ask you to leave at any time. I advise against going there and wasting your life.
Because the senior employees don't dare to make changes, they can only target new employees. The monthly salary that senior employees receive is something new employees will never be able to get, even though they do the same work.
They will ask you to obtain certifications; after you pass, you will have more work but no additional compensation.
By the way, overtime does not come with the option to choose compensatory leave or overtime pay; it is always assigned by the supervisor.
There is not much future potential. Only people who cannot leave stay.
And they are always talking about their glory from more than a decade ago.
Good location, prime area
Not affected by the pandemic, but the year-end bonus was cut
The year-end party was canceled, and the money was used to buy the company’s own soon-to-expire products to give to employees
Typhoon days off result in salary deductions
Welfare funds are deducted, but it is unclear what they are used for
Policies follow the Labor Standards Act
Regular working hours
—A company that is not very generous to its employees; there are no bonuses for the three major holidays, and the year-end bonus is not guaranteed to be two months’ salary. In recent years, it has been cut in half to one month’s salary; employees with less than two years of service are paid on a prorated basis.
—There are quite a few long-time employees and petty people.
—If you are just looking for stability for one or two years, it’s fine, but staying long-term is not recommended.
Job: The starting salary is around 30,000. You need to provide your own car. The vehicle allowance seems to be 5,000, and the parking fee seems to be 1,200. I forgot the fuel allowance. Bonuses for consumables are paid once every three months. Bonuses for instruments are paid once a year.
