The background, foreign-language skills, professional competence, and even customer-handling abilities of a certain department manager at the company are highly problematic. It could be said that this person has no ability to get things done, and only knows how to make grand promises in front of senior management, cater to their preferences, and force frontline employees to implement meaningless and illogical practices. At present, this person is merely taking over the achievements of predecessors and has no effective new strategies. Their only role in the company is to appease upper management. Subordinates have to figure out how to handle everything on their own, and when problems arise, this person only shifts the blame and takes no responsibility.
This manager has a very limited understanding of the market and no effective industry connections. They also do not understand the positioning of the company’s products in the market or current market changes. As for the certification issues that are most important in the medical industry, this manager has no understanding of them at all and has even told customers to find ways to purchase products that have not yet obtained medical certification. This person constantly claims to have more than 10 years of relevant medical experience, but that experience is highly questionable.
Since joining the company, this manager has continuously spent public funds on overseas business trips and exhibitions, seemingly using company money to travel around the world while merely enhancing and embellishing their personal résumé. However, they have not actually brought back any business results or even reports on actual market conditions.
In addition, the company’s research and development progress is also extremely slow, causing customers to steadily leave.
Doesn't require much overtime
The head of the XX department is the product of internal power struggles and a parachuted appointment, having worked their way into the position through flattery and sycophancy. Their work experience is highly questionable; aside from having no relevant professional knowledge of medical products, they also have only a superficial understanding of the market. Most importantly, they are extremely bureaucratic.
Those working under them can only be described as extremely unlucky. They have to figure out everything themselves, but their achievements will be attributed to the manager, while any mistakes mean waiting to be berated at a meeting.
It is not a traditional family business, but its management style is even worse than that of traditional manufacturing companies. Anyone considering joining should think carefully.
A great place to pass the time and coast into retirement, because the entire company is already full of people like that.
Infighting is top-notch, while there isn't a single trick when it comes to dealing with external parties. The R&D capabilities can only be described as disastrous. There are countless pointless meetings where everyone pushes responsibility onto one another. Usually, they reach no conclusion because upper management only talks nonsense and listens to nonsense. They simply cannot take the truth.
A certain senior executive often roams the premises dressed in an outfit resembling a shooting-game character that exposes his belly. His appearance and laughter frequently make female colleagues uncomfortable.
A culture of sycophancy permeates the entire company. A certain senior executive only knows how to organize labor-intensive and utterly inexplicable Halloween decoration contests.
Even more outrageous is the highly paid hiring of a foreign employee who has trouble even reading Chinese, along with absurd business trips paid for with company funds that conveniently include visits home.

Many people in higher positions lack professionalism and only know how to curry favor.
Then I had a dream in which workplace sexual harassment occurred. Someone who seemed to be an R&D engineer habitually exposed parts of his body that should not be exposed to a female employee.
There was also a superior whose title was manager of the XX Business Department. He seemed to be holding a female employee’s hand while looking for chopsticks at noon, which felt a bit strange.
There are so many pretentious people.
Carcinogens are dispersed in the air at the workplace. You could ask how many people have had cancer.
The frontline colleagues are nice, but the turnover rate is high!
There is an attendance bonus system. If you accidentally arrive late, you cannot use personal leave, and they try every possible way to deduct NT$2,000 from the attendance bonus. Forgetting to clock in or out is subject to progressive deductions: NT$50 the first time, NT$100 the second time, and it can reach NT$600 per occurrence! Everyone has to take turns sweeping and mopping the floors, cleaning the toilets, carrying boxed lunches, and taking out the trash. They are even unwilling to hire a cleaning lady. The work environment is very dirty, with things piled up in a complete mess. It is hard to imagine that this is a company making medical equipment. There are other things, but I don’t dare say them.
A small number of the employees are decent, but basically they are all entry-level staff.
The boss is very fond of appearances and publicity, often promoting how the company helps the next generation and disadvantaged young people. In reality, however, they are completely heartless even toward employees with disabilities, allowing workplace bullying to occur. They will ask you to leave for any arbitrary reason and completely ignore the company's disciplinary and reward system. This applies to both production-line and R&D units. Current employees have also reportedly heard the person say that they had quietly visited a psychiatrist several times.
Regarding professional expertise, whether in R&D or mechanical technology, everything starts with copying: buying existing products from others, circumventing regulations through modifications, and changing them to carry the company's own logo. However, the actual functions may be fewer and the effectiveness may differ. As a result, there is absolutely no accumulation of knowledge. In the year before the public offering, all of the senior R&D personnel were gone, leaving only novices. They rely on inexperienced staff, use relevant suggestions from surgeons they know and work with, and then buy competitors' products to observe, learn from, copy, and modify them.
The company's strength comes from the fact that one of its original shareholders is a medical sales company. Therefore, its distribution channels are basically not a problem, and it knows many doctors. In practice, it mainly listens to doctors' suggestions and then copies and modifies competitors' products. Other than that, there is little worth mentioning. Capable R&D staff who understand planning leave after developing their skills at this company. This is a suitable place to use as a training ground, and it is quite suitable for anyone who wants to learn about mechanisms or R&D. However, you need to have a strong heart, because some managers are very inexperienced: they will leave you to fend for yourself and then tell upper management that they have fulfilled their role as a manager. In other departments, managers basically rely on empty talk in meetings. There is little debate or genuine discussion; everyone is very agreeable, and all you need to do is read the boss's mood. It is highly inefficient and overly focused on appearances. They love holding meetings, but they always merely follow the script and never truly implement the spirit of GMP. The bosses in charge love to say that they all use a quality system, but it is only paper-based work, without a computerized information system to impose controls—if I want to change something, I can change it however I want.
The company’s products are in a relatively high-priced specialized industry.
The boss has absolutely no respect for design professionals. Industrial designers should think twice before applying.
