One supervisor, multiple delights. The department head is exceptionally attentive and worries that you might get hungry, so they keep feeding you the big promises they can never fulfill. When you’re on leave, the supervisor worries that you might be too bored, so they keep putting you on call and even have you handle work in the middle of the night. If you don’t reply to their messages while you’re on leave, they’ll let you experience what it’s like to have a terrifyingly obsessive partner—bombarding you with messages or calls and relentlessly PUA-ing you.
The salaries in the food and beverage department are above average, and this applies to part-time workers as well. Since it was just opening, it wasn't very busy during the temporary work period, so it was quite comfortable. Most importantly, the food was genuinely delicious, which made me feel proud~ There were a few slackers who made us hardworking employees unhappy, but after we raised the issue, those people were FIRED. Pretty good.

Before the interview, you are first provided with a resume form to fill out, which you photocopy yourself and submit on the day of the interview.
The office is not very large, and there are not many employees. The environment is also somewhat messy, with almost all the seats next to one another. Upon entering, I could see that some employees seemed to be playing music, and some people were browsing Facebook on their computers. Looking on the bright side, it is a relaxed working environment, but it also felt somewhat disorganized. Before going in for the interview, I went to the restroom and discovered that there was no toilet paper. I do not know whether it had just run out or whether employees are expected to bring their own.
After entering the company, I was taken to a small conference room. I handed over the form and waited for the interview. Overall, the interview process was fairly relaxed and pleasant. In addition to asking questions about my resume, they also carefully explained the job responsibilities and company benefits.
The largest part of this position involves keying in orders. Since the retail store staff are generally older, assistance with entering orders is needed, along with some basic Taiwanese language skills. One thing to note is that this position requires shift work. Since there are only three people in the department, out of approximately eight weekend days per month, you would need to work weekend shifts on about three or four days. There may also be situations where you have to work both Saturday and Sunday. If you work on a holiday, you can choose to take a compensatory day off on a weekday.
Regarding company benefits, I had seen a salary-sharing post on 比薪水 before the interview stating that there were basically no benefits, so I was quite worried. However, during the interview, HR said that there were benefits for the three major holidays, an annual year-end banquet, and domestic and overseas trips. They even said that last year employees went to South Korea for a four-day, three-night trip. Since this differed considerably from what was shared online, I remained somewhat skeptical. One unusual point was that HR said employees must have more than one year of seniority to receive the year-end bonus...
After the interview, I felt that there were no major problems, except that the year-end bonus policy was somewhat unexpected. However, those who can accept it may give it a try. Also, during the interview, they said that applicants would be notified by email regardless of whether they were accepted. They did follow through: I received a rejection notice about two weeks later. Compared with many companies that never respond or say they will notify you but then disappear, that was relatively good.

The company is very close to an MRT station, and the office atmosphere is good. The interview began with HR conducting an interview and explaining the work content. The main duties involve entering daily orders (because the store staff are generally older and need the head office to assist with computer input) and contacting store staff by phone (so some ability in Taiwanese may be required). There are about three people in the department, with a part-time student working on holidays, although shift work may still be required (approximately once every two months). During peak seasons (around the Lunar New Year, May, and August), everyone in the company may need to work overtime on holidays to enter orders; compensatory leave can be taken from Monday to Friday.
The company is located in one of two buildings in the area, so it is somewhat difficult to find. However, this position feels more like a sales assistant role, and a lot of overtime is required during peak seasons (because orders must be entered before they can be processed for reimbursement). The company has been taken over by the owner’s successor generation, but the boss is fairly receptive to new ideas. However, whether employees need to work on typhoon days off is decided by the boss. I went for the interview around the end of July and hoped to start work in August, but HR wanted me to start as early as possible. In the end, I did not agree to start early.

If you are applying for a position in the Internet Department, think twice before proceeding, because the supervisor is very narrow-minded and does not like you getting along well with other colleagues, so they will keep piling work on you. When calling you into a meeting, they even said, “I know where the event exposure is, but you still need to ask the contact person” (because I knew where the exposure was). Then I waited to hear back, but was rejected~ I heard that the previous graphic designer didn’t want to earn a fixed salary and wanted to become a salesperson, so they resigned.
Based on this, I inferred that getting a raise would probably be difficult!
