Can freely travel back and forth between Taipei and Taichung for no particular reason (on the day of the interview, the department manager suddenly took leave. HR only informed me when I arrived for the interview, so of course I was later asked to interview again, saying that it couldn't be made clear over the phone).

Cons

1. They invited me to an interview, but after I made two trips there, I didn't receive any response at all. Who was it that invited me in the first place? Their attitude was poor.

2. Ten days later, I sent a message to ask about it and received a standard 104 response saying that there were not enough openings....Then why did they ask me to go there in the first place?

3. The CTO and QA manager fully displayed their infighting during the interview. They were already pulling this kind of thing before I had even joined? That's not very good.

4. The QA manager kept saying that the CTO was a big shot with no technical background, BUT...that's the BUT—you don't understand it either.... (I kept myself from saying it during the interview.)

5. They don't understand or respect expertise, occupy positions while fearing that someone else will take them, and have such a wonderful culture.

The company’s administration is very efficient.

On 10/31, they announced cutting the original 12 days of annual leave down to the number of days required by the Labor Standards Act, effective 11/1.

On 10/31, they announced cutting birthday leave, effective 11/1.

On 10/31, they announced cutting paid sick leave, effective 11/1.

On 10/31, they announced cutting the monthly movie tickets, effective 11/1.

Cons

How could there be any drawbacks when they’re this efficient?

Pros

The interview process was quite fast

Cons

Actually, it’s not very close to the MRT station; it takes 10–12 minutes to walk.

There are quite a lot of places to eat nearby.

Pros

No need to fill out a personal information form during the interview.

Cons

I had always thought it would be an individual interview, but only found out on site that it was a group interview, which felt like being ambushed....

(You want to solve it together?!)

I never encountered this kind of situation during my interview!

The forum mentioned a white-haired, chubby person who wears glasses, but since joining the company, I haven’t seen anyone like that or known anyone similar. However, it could have been a supervisor from before I joined, so I can’t guarantee it!

Don’t you think everyone is exaggerating a bit?

For example:

1. The team structure is clear, with designated deputies for each position, and the structure between supervisors and subordinates is also transparent. The leave application process is electronic, and you state the reason for requesting leave. Supervisors generally don’t refuse leave, and during the leave period, a designated deputy will provide support.

The working conditions and atmosphere after joining the company aren’t as bad as you described.....Maybe you haven’t actually joined the company and don’t really understand the situation!

2. Benefits: There are five more days of annual leave than at general companies, and you also get an additional paid day off during your birthday month. As a woman, I also receive one day of half-paid menstrual leave every month. There are also endless snacks and drinks every day, plus regular afternoon tea on Wednesdays. I feel very happy.

Cons

Honestly, after being with the company for half a year, I’ve noticed that there currently don’t seem to be any relevant regulations regarding the company’s promotion system.

I’ve heard that OKRs are going to be introduced....but no definite timeline has been provided....

Convenient location

The HR representative was polite

The interviewer gave attitude advice?

Cons

I was going abroad on the day of the interview, so I brought my luggage with me...

The front desk let me leave my luggage at the entrance. HR explained that the company was being renovated and that this was a temporary office, so it looked rather run-down.

I had to fill out a personnel form.

The content was basically:

Expected salary, educational and professional background, and previous salary

Because I didn't want to disclose my salary, I left it blank. I didn't expect HR to keep asking me again and again how much I earned at my previous job.

Maybe it was because my expected salary was high and they wanted to lowball me ^_^

Since you were the ones who invited me to interview, of course I was going to ask for a high salary and aim high!

Then came the department manager's interview. The questions he asked were completely off point. I really didn't want to answer him, and maybe I was just too tired (I had to go to the airport after the interview). I rested my head on my hand and stared blankly at him—is that a little rude? Haha. We even argued over whether the API issue was with the backend integration or the frontend integration.

I continued introducing my personal portfolio. All the music in it was made by me, and I also did the voice-overs. At my previous company, I even led other people. The things I brought out would knock your socks off! They were our team's work, and I put them in my portfolio. I'm super proud of them!

I wasn't really interested in joining this company anyway; I'm better suited to a foreign company.

Since I received an invitation, I thought I'd come take a look—figured they must recognize talent. I don't know if there was no follow-up because my salary expectations were too firm?

Pros

Two weeks ago, I applied for the executive assistant position at Chen Sheng Network Technology, and I finally got a response last week! Yay! They provided a personnel information form to return before the interview, unlike other companies that require handwritten forms.

Before the interview, I searched for them. Searching for “Chen Sheng Network Technology” found their Facebook page. The photos there are very nice, and they seem to maintain it seriously. I couldn’t find their official website through Google; later, I saw that the website link was on 104!

On the day of the interview, the receptionist politely guided me to the meeting room.

I waited about two or three minutes before the interviewer arrived.

At first, I introduced myself, followed by two or three questions and answers with the interviewer.

For example: 1. Do you think you are a detail-oriented person?

2. If your supervisor suddenly assigns you a task that prevents you from attending an evening gathering, what should you do?

Afterward, I spoke with HR. The company benefits were discussed: after passing the probationary period, employees receive 12 days of annual leave, which is five more days than at my previous company.

I have recently interviewed with two or three companies, and this company has the best atmosphere among them.

If I get the opportunity for a second interview, or if I am hired, I will be very excited to go.

Cons

1. I don’t think there were any drawbacks, because this was my first contact with Chen Sheng Network Technology and I didn’t have a very in-depth understanding of the company. From the interview through the end, I didn’t feel uncomfortable at any point.

2. The benefits and compensation are considered better than those of other companies, but it seems that the executive assistant role may not offer much future development. I don’t have many plans for my life right now, so it feels like it could be a good place to save money.

Pros

The HR representative who called to notify me about the interview was very professional and had a great attitude.

Cons

I interviewed for the UI/UX Designer position around the middle of the year; it was quite a bizarre interview experience.

The attitudes of the two interviewers made it seem as though they had absolutely no intention of hiring me.

One of the interviewers looked at people with a disdainful expression (perhaps that is simply her usual demeanor); the other interviewer avoided eye contact with me. This interviewer even asked whether "everything in the portfolio was done by me".

But the strangest part of all was that the interviewers showed me the company's web work. Oh, I forgot to mention: this company is in the gambling industry, involving things like sporting events…, and its customers are Chinese. The Black athlete in the video on that website had such a vacant look in their eyes… it was somewhat unsettling.

In short, it was a company I wouldn't dare join even if I were hired.

It lets you travel back and forth to Taipei for no reason.

Cons

1. During the interview, the manager kept "reminding" the CTO that he had no technical expertise (was he trying to... take the position??)

2. The manager who interviewed me didn't have much substance either; he just wanted to find someone to "chat with him in person," but didn't even know what he wanted the person to do.

3. On the day of the interview, the interviewing manager was absent and didn't inform me that the time had been changed, yet still expected me to make another trip.

4. You can receive plenty of silent rejections, even though HR tells you during the first two interviews that your salary expectations and abilities are both fine.

5. This is truly a company with very little sincerity. The internal power struggles and scheming were already blatantly apparent during the interview. I suppose whether I can get in depends on fate.

Pros

None

Cons

The company had only been established for a few months and had no CTO, so it said it wanted people who could hit the ground running. It seemed to think that hiring a few senior engineers and immediately starting work would be enough to take on projects. There was no architect, so the architecture was being developed as they went along. Starting a company like this is also bizarre.

During the interview, they kept looking at their phone, which was very disrespectful. They kept asking what experience you had, and after I answered, said that my answer wasn’t what they wanted to hear. When I asked what they wanted to hear, they replied, “I don’t know.” What the fuck are you even talking about?

Seriously! That chubby, white-haired guy with glasses, who I think was some kind of product manager, was really full of himself. After the interview, I wanted to ask questions, but he stopped me.....

The interviewer’s initial suggestions were fairly sincere.

Cons

It was a gambling company. There were two middle-aged interviewers; one was very overweight, with white hair and glasses. His initial suggestions were fairly sincere, but later, when I wanted to ask him questions, he seemed impatient... even though I had told him that I would ask questions after he finished introducing the position.
