Convenient location
The HR representative was polite
The interviewer gave attitude advice?
I was going abroad on the day of the interview, so I brought my luggage with me...
The front desk let me leave my luggage at the entrance. HR explained that the company was being renovated and that this was a temporary office, so it looked rather run-down.
I had to fill out a personnel form.
The content was basically:
Expected salary, educational and professional background, and previous salary
Because I didn't want to disclose my salary, I left it blank. I didn't expect HR to keep asking me again and again how much I earned at my previous job.
Maybe it was because my expected salary was high and they wanted to lowball me ^_^
Since you were the ones who invited me to interview, of course I was going to ask for a high salary and aim high!
Then came the department manager's interview. The questions he asked were completely off point. I really didn't want to answer him, and maybe I was just too tired (I had to go to the airport after the interview). I rested my head on my hand and stared blankly at him—is that a little rude? Haha. We even argued over whether the API issue was with the backend integration or the frontend integration.
I continued introducing my personal portfolio. All the music in it was made by me, and I also did the voice-overs. At my previous company, I even led other people. The things I brought out would knock your socks off! They were our team's work, and I put them in my portfolio. I'm super proud of them!
I wasn't really interested in joining this company anyway; I'm better suited to a foreign company.
Since I received an invitation, I thought I'd come take a look—figured they must recognize talent. I don't know if there was no follow-up because my salary expectations were too firm?
