A very typical small business owner who believes only in himself; threatens to dock employees’ pay when they make mistakes.

(1) The interview was scheduled for 10:00. I found Yang Feng at 9:30 using the address, but the security guard stopped me outside the gate. Most absurdly, he did not know that Cheng Hong International Co., Ltd. was their company, repeatedly insisting that they were Yang Feng Co., Ltd. He then said they would not let me in and told me to go back, saying he had not received any information and did not know anything, etc.

(2) At 10:30, the deputy manager messaged me asking me to come for the interview, so I had no choice but to go back again. This time, the security guard also panicked and led me inside the factory, but then a supervisor(?) drove the security guard back out. It turned out that the supervisor inside had also not received any notice that someone was coming for an interview and told the security guard that he had to clarify things before bringing anyone in, so we awkwardly walked back out the main gate.

The security guard was extremely afraid of taking responsibility. He secretly used his phone to take a photo of me (I could only pretend not to mind =_=), then kept sending LINE messages to confirm things? It also felt like he did not dare call his superior. In the end, it was still the same: he did not know, had not received any information, and told me to go back.

(3) Weeds were growing everywhere outside the factory, and not even half a car was parked there(?). If there had not been a security guard stubbornly blocking people, I would have thought it was a traditional manufacturing company that was closed on Sunday. It felt nothing like a factory, more like...... (about to collapse?).

(4) I took a few glances inside the factory. It was very messy, cluttered, and dark(?). There were 4–5 people sitting in the middle, and I had no idea what they were doing (they did not appear to be working). There were also three reclining chairs set up (for sleeping?).

(5) I contacted them using the phone number provided by the deputy manager, but no one answered or called back at all (although they did reply to emails?). It also felt quite strange.

In summary, at 5:00 this afternoon, they emailed me asking me to go for another interview tomorrow. The interview process felt too exhausting; I had already made the trip twice, so I gave up -> politely declined.

The position I interviewed for was in procurement, and the interview tests were a typing test and a pivot table analysis.

The interviewer was the company’s vice president. In reality, the company had only two bosses: the general manager and the vice president.

At the beginning of the interview, they said that I might later need to accompany the company on a one-week business trip to mainland China. The salary offered was good, and I was told immediately after the interview that I had been hired.

There were only a few colleagues. One or two of them showed me the basic procedures. I remember that not long after I started, a colleague took leave, and I became their temporary replacement. Later, the boss assigned a task to our team, but for some reason it turned into an individual responsibility. I also discussed how to handle it privately with my colleagues (because I had only recently joined), but the boss was still dissatisfied. A few days later, I was notified not to come to work anymore. Of course, the business trip to mainland China never happened either. I don’t know if it was because they wanted to cut costs.

I advise everyone to think it through carefully~~~

The only advantage is that the salary is relatively high, but there is basically no room for raises. You can only count on the year-end bonus, though you might be fired before completing a year.

Cons

1. There are few employees, so each person is responsible for the workload of several people.

2. The colleagues around you do not have much experience either, so it is very easy to ask a question and still not get an answer.

3. The boss is very arrogant and talks as if he knows everything, but in reality that is not the case. He also expects you to learn how to handle everything within a week of joining. If you do not meet his expectations, he starts criticizing you for lacking ambition, then threatens to cut your pay—an endless cycle.

4. The work environment leans toward a results-based system: before one task is finished, another immediately arrives, making it practically impossible to leave on time. If you leave first, you are merely leaving the work for tomorrow, or forcing other colleagues to take it on resentfully.

5. The quality of the products sold by the company is seriously problematic—in simple terms, there are a large number of customer complaints. If you handle them too slowly, partner vendors will pressure and pursue you; if things become more serious, the issue will reach the boss, and you will face even harsher reprimands from him.

6. The boss is constantly trying to sell new products, while the company’s internal problems remain unresolved, such as employee training and accounting and bookkeeping matters. It gives people the impression that this company only wants to move forward and make money, while having no interest in dealing with all the unfinished business behind it.

Overall: This is a very problematic company. Do not come here just for the relatively high salary, because the boss of this company does not treat you like a human being.

They say the hours are 0900–1800, but you basically never get off work on time, and you’ll even be scolded for leaving on time.

The salary seems to be advertised as quite high, but in reality, 40,000 becomes 30,000, and the 30,000 was deducted to 28,000 because of a supposedly poor work attitude... This isn’t an isolated case.

The company is made up entirely of newcomers. Even the longest-serving employee had been there for less than half a year, and had already told the boss they were resigning. The reason they interview so many people is that every day, an employee gets fed up and resigns—or simply stops showing up—so the company’s vacancies remain posted on all the major job websites.

When you first join the company, there is no so-called SOP. They just assume that since they hired you, you should already know what to do, so no one teaches you. In fact, the colleagues around you don’t know either, including the boss and vice president, who appear to be the most experienced. (They only talk a lot of nonsense; they don’t know how to do the actual work either.)

Even the partner companies are amazed by this company’s turnover rate. It is common for more than a dozen people to be replaced in a single month, and it would not be surprising if nearly a hundred people were replaced in a year.

I once heard about the most outrageous incident: a former employee revealed that an employee worked for almost a month, then resigned after feeling the job was unsuitable. The boss refused to pay them. After that employee sued him under the Labor Standards Act, they began frequently receiving threatening calls from unknown numbers on their phone... It’s outrageous.

Finally, I sincerely advise anyone interested in this company: I absolutely do not recommend it. Don’t waste your time going to an interview, because even if you do get in, the files inside are a complete mess. You’ll spend half a day looking for a single product name, let alone completing an Excel spreadsheet.

The salary is relatively high

Cons

I originally applied for the 【Accounting Staff】 position.

The company has approximately 20 employees.

Next came a computer-based test with two parts:

1. Typing speed

2. Pivot table analysis

I interviewed for the 【Accounting Staff】 position on Friday afternoon.

At 5 p.m. on Sunday, I was notified by phone that I had been hired.

I was supposed to start work on Monday, but the 【Accounting】 position was already filled.

The position was changed to 【Procurement】, and I replied that I needed a week to consider it.

However, they said I had to decide on Sunday because the position was highly sought after and many people had applied.

If I didn't come, someone else would, and I had to give them an answer on Sunday.

Half a month later, they notified me to interview again for 【Accounting】.

Cons

1. The company has only about 6 employees, so each person is expected to do the work of 3 or 4 people. People keep resigning, leaving an even heavier burden on those who stay, creating a vicious cycle. On average, one person leaves every week.

2. The general manager and vice president are the owner and the owner's wife. They are typically very impatient and short-tempered. Their tone is often extremely unpleasant, and if you make even one mistake, they will reprimand you in person—sometimes scolding you in the office where other employees can hear.

3. Because of the extremely high turnover, the owner will even berate former employees after they resign for not completing the handover properly and deduct money from their wages.

4. The product quality is extremely poor. All day long, you handle customer complaint calls and respond to complaints on platforms, while also having to take on accounting, purchasing, and sales assistant duties.

5. This workplace is truly only suitable for people willing to be exploited. People who join are 100% doing so for the salary, but after joining, they will regret it 200%.

6. You even have to clock in and out during your lunch break, and the office environment is incredibly messy.

7. Everything has to be printed on paper, and quantities must be tallied manually. A single order requires creating 3–4 Excel files before it can be shipped.

I sincerely advise everyone not to let money cloud your judgment.
