I couldn't feel any advantages at all—an entirely infuriating interview experience!

I previously interviewed for an R&D position, and they only notified me on the day of the interview that the location had changed, causing me to spend extra money on a taxi!

After I arrived and finished the test, they made me wait for a long time. I really don't know what their HR was doing.

I heard from friends currently working there that they have many open positions, but they also frequently lay people off. What is going on?!!!

Later, I declined their offer to join. I really do not recommend them!!!!!!

Having worked at two companies, compared with the previous long-established large company, the work atmosphere here is relaxed and not oppressive. There is much more freedom, without an overly rigid sense of hierarchy or heavy-handed systems. If you run into a problem, you can communicate with the boss or your colleagues at any time, and you can also study technologies together.

Lunch is ordered in advance and delivered every day, saving a lot of time spent buying food.

The development schedule for new projects is tight, and working past 8 p.m. is the norm (for approximately 2–3 weeks). If there are requirements after returning home, you also need to connect remotely and work from home (about twice a month).

To be honest, the experience with this company wasn’t bad, and the environment was nice too. It’s in the Breeze Nan Shan building (there are lots of attractive women on the way).

A quick glance suggested that most of the staff are relatively young.

The first stage was a written technical and personality test. After the papers were collected, we had to wait for a while. In the second stage, two managers came in for the interview. We first discussed the content of the test and then talked about aspects of my previous work. The atmosphere was not too tense; it felt a bit like a technical exchange with people in the same industry.

In the third stage, after the interviewers finished and left, someone from HR came in. After asking some questions about my résumé, they explained the company overview in detail, which I thought was pretty good.

The company is located at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, right between two MRT stations. It takes a little over 10 minutes to walk there, which is a bit tiring.

The interview consisted of two rounds: technical questions first, followed by personality traits. The interview felt more like a conversation.

The interviewer and HR were both very patient and answered every question in great detail. Overall, the interview atmosphere was very harmonious.

The interview invitation and interview result were communicated extremely efficiently; there was no being left hanging without a response.

The interview took a little long, and there were some periods of waiting with nothing happening...

After the interview I had recently (early July 2020), I felt that the manager was quite open-minded when discussing technical topics, and there was room for mutual discussion. The work environment is very high-end. I also see it as a plus that it is B2B rather than B2C. The interview process was fairly pleasant. The HR representative was quite thorough when explaining the company culture, benefits, and future career planning, and I felt respected.

The manager also works at a relatively fast pace, so this may not be suitable for people who are less able to cope with pressure.

2. The job interview was conducted by one manager and two engineers (three people in total). The senior engineer asked most of the questions, which focused on professional skills and practical aspects of the role, and also provided feedback.

The manager’s questions tended to focus on the previous job’s responsibilities and experience collaborating across roles (coordination).

3. For the most part, the interview atmosphere felt like a conversation; we even discussed industry trends.

4. At the end, HR conducted another interview to ask about my impressions of the previous interview and my willingness to join the company. They specifically emphasized that they would respond within a week (there would be no prolonged silence).

5. I received a phone call and an offer within two days after the interview (which could be considered quite efficient... I guess).

So far, there hasn’t been anything unpleasant. Maybe I’ll only find out after officially starting work... haha~

Flexible working hours, a comfortable overall environment, and colleagues and senior staff are generally willing to share and learn from one another, with plenty of opportunities for hands-on experience.

Due to organizational planning needs, there may occasionally be a need to travel between offices in two different locations.

The APP manager shares gossip from different sources every day, telling different versions to different people. There is a new version every day at lunchtime, which is hilarious.

A Chinese-funded company. If you want to earn more than NT$50,000 a month, you can save yourself the trouble of coming to the interview. The test content is very simple; in any case, they won’t really look at what you write. After you pass all the algorithm questions, they’ll start asking about your previous architecture experience. It’s very obvious that they’re not looking to hire for a high salary, and are instead using interviews as a way to learn about architecture—a typical Chinese-funded company. If a headhunter contacted you and brought you to interview, that’s perfectly normal, because this company is so shady that it can only rely on headhunters to find interviewees. This also tells you that the headhunter who contacted you is a dud.

If you don’t particularly want to become a Golang expert and just want to write some Golang because you think it’s cool, and you also want to use your mouth to write code and flatter your manager, this place is quite suitable for someone from a non-technical background transitioning into this field. But if you have a relevant degree, I recommend changing jobs—it’s ridiculously bad.

There are perfectly ordinary drinks to have, and perfectly ordinary snacks to eat. That’s pretty good already~ Oh right, there are also department dinners. It’s easy to take time off whenever you want. The company environment is good, and the benefits look great—although in practice... they should still be good, right?

I work in customer service.

The advantages are that there are lots of snacks, drinks, and ice cream, and one meal is provided during work. That's about it.

Customer service operates on a three-shift schedule. You work nine hours with no break in between. In principle, customer service staff are excluded from company dinners, outings, and year-end parties. They just give us NT$150 for a boxed meal to brush us off.

Because the company has an American-style open office, you can see everyone eating, chatting, and sleeping while we sit in front of our computers staring blankly.

Sometimes we also get scolded by supervisors and are made to do a bunch of things unrelated to customer service.

In principle, you won't learn anything by coming here. The benefits listed on 104 are only available to the R&D staff.

If you're looking for a job, you could come here first to get by while waiting for other jobs to notify you.

A company that plays business games. The boss does whatever they want on a whim, and the whole company fawns over them to curry favor. Internal operations are highly systematized neither, with no consistency or fairness! The administrative staff engage in a lot of opaque practices! Terrible! People are treated as disposable chopsticks.... Overtime is paid, but it all comes at the cost of your health, and you also have to read your supervisor's mood and be ready to connect via notebook at any time on holidays!

As a gambling company, the supplementary benefits are pretty good, such as an unlimited supply of snacks, drinks, and ice cream, as well as lunch, late dinners for overtime, book purchase subsidies, and conference attendance subsidies. The annual leave is somewhat better than the requirements of the Labor Standards Act—not like some companies that claim to offer more than the Labor Standards Act but only give you two extra days, which is just fooling children.

The salary here is considered low compared with other gambling companies. You may later hear that the salaries are actually pretty good, but think for yourself about how those salaries were raised afterward.

The RD department is divided into frontend, backend, hardcore backend, QA, and art. If you come here to do frontend work, be sure to ask clearly about the job responsibilities and the technologies you will use—it definitely won't be what you imagine.

Before joining

I had a pleasant conversation with the interviewer, and the salary offered was considered high for a newcomer, so I decided to accept.

The manager of the department I joined is very nice and willing to teach newcomers. Overtime can be claimed, and dinner is provided too XD
