Pros

If you can tolerate an annual bonus that is lower than your salary and not fixed, along with several thousand being deducted every month and only returned once every three months, taking turns each month as the person on duty to sweep and mop the floors and take out the trash, and a run-down office... If you don't make any major mistakes, you might be able to stay for quite a long time...

Cons

1. The head office is extremely old and cluttered. There are only two restrooms on each floor, with a family-style setup. The company has rented the premises for over 30 years and has not hired a cleaning lady, so employees take turns doing the cleaning—sweeping, mopping, and taking out the trash. You can't sleep at noon because you have to receive mail...

2. The vice president has a very bad temper and is stingy and difficult. Whenever payment signatures are needed, he goes on and on...

3. The company violates the Labor Standards Act by deducting several thousand from employees' salaries every month and only paying it back once every three months. They deliberately don't mention this during interviews.

4. The annual bonus is calculated based on the basic salary, so it is extremely low, and there is no fixed amount given each year.

5. At the spring banquet, all office staff have to work as event staff. You can't get enough to eat, and after it ends, you have to buy food outside yourself...

6. For the three traditional holidays, they only give cheap nutritional supplements and health products, yet they act as though they are treating employees very well...

7. When you submit your resignation, the vice president will emotionally blackmail you or scold you, asking you to stay as long as possible so they have time to find a replacement. But how is that the employee's problem?!

Pros

The company doesn’t have much structure. You can rest when there are no customers, but there are a lot of miscellaneous tasks. It’s suitable for mothers with young children. The schedule is fixed day shifts with Sundays off; occasionally, you have to rotate in for Saturday shifts. If something comes up with your child, it’s fairly easy to request leave at short notice.

Cons

Very traditional. There are problems with both the work processes and the systems, and nothing is improved even when these issues are raised. Many stores don’t have a store manager, so regular store staff have to do the store manager’s work and manage part-time employees as well. Salaries are just the legal minimum in accordance with the Labor Standards Act. The year-end bonus is less than one month’s salary, and for the three traditional holidays, they only give out one item of store merchandise. The entire company is extremely inefficient!

Pros

Quiet and flexible environment

Cons

There is no such thing as a honeymoon period for newcomers. Once you decide to join the company, remember to put your brain in your skull! They keep emphasizing that we are a team, but when something happens, they only tell the staff on duty to handle it themselves. Everything is taught only once. If you ask questions immediately after the instruction because there is something you do not understand, you will be met with remarks such as, “Didn’t I just explain that?” They think the turnover among newcomers is too high, so the training pace is extremely fast, and the store manager has no patience with new employees. Some things cannot be taught through hands-on instruction and are only explained verbally. When you encounter something you have never actually practiced, if you immediately seek help, you will be told that you can ask only five questions in the group chat per day; if you make a mistake, you will still be scolded. Normally, regardless of the size of a store, products should have fixed locations. This company does not have fixed locations; they change arbitrarily depending on the products. This makes it difficult for newcomers to adapt to the store or clearly understand which products in an area are out of stock or need replenishment. They do not tell you many details that you should pay attention to, and wait until you make a mistake before scolding you. The warehouse looks neatly organized at a glance, but when you need to find something, you still have to rummage around, and products are stacked too high, among other issues. When you first join, they tell you to ask as many questions as possible and say that they like employees who ask questions. But when you actually ask questions, you cannot really ask about everything! They consider the employee training and education to be comprehensive—truly comprehensive—but in reality, they only go over all the job duties once! However, that is not actually the case: without confirming whether new employees can apply what they have been taught smoothly and independently, they let them work alone. They hand over responsibility after only one week of training. The handover and checkout procedures from Monday to Thursday are different from those on weekends; they let new employees work weekend shifts independently even though they have not yet been taught the weekend handover and checkout procedures.
