Pros

I noticed that no one has updated their work experience in a long time. I joined around last year or the year before. Basically, it’s pretty much the same as what others have said: really bad. I don’t recommend anyone work there.

Cons

The boss is the area that most needs improvement.

Recognizing colleagues who share the hardships, because we have to work together to fight against exploitative bosses.

Cons

1. There is no overtime pay. For example, if normal hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., actually leaving around 6 will get you mocked: “Young people nowadays want to leave as soon as work ends—I really don’t know what they’re thinking.” (Normally, everyone works until 7 or 8 every day; if you have something to do and need to leave at the “normal” time, you’ll be mocked.

2. They pay you a salary of 26,000 to 28,000 and expect you to bring in 600,000 in profits. The boss even said: “Otherwise, what am I hiring you for?”

3. It’s always about grand promises that never materialize. When you come up with an idea for a video shoot, they say it’s good during the proposal meeting, but before execution they start questioning every decision. What they always ask is how much money it can make: “Otherwise, why should I invest these costs?” (I can understand this, but those costs are basically reduced to the absolute minimum—lower even than what students would spend on a shoot…)

4. They are always bragging about how capable they are, but what they actually say is truly delusional.

5. If you aren’t handsome or beautiful, they will constantly tell you to get plastic surgery.

6. If you simply want to practice your ability to withstand pressure, this place is very suitable, because there is little money, lots of work, and no humanity.

7. It basically has all the disadvantages you can think of.

Cons

1. The boss has absolutely no intention of letting you leave work on time.

2. No matter how hard you work overtime, he will find reasons and excuses to offset your overtime pay. The compensation is extremely unbalanced.

3. He will exploit the loophole that severance pay and advance notice are not required during the three-month probationary period, and have you leave before completing three months.

4. He will interview and hire people based on immediate needs, but once he has used whatever they can offer, he will discard them.

5. The boss always forces employees to implement unsuitable management methods, then blames the employees for lacking ability when the results are poor.

6. He always wants to spend the least money to find the best people, treating people like fools.

7. The job responsibilities discussed and agreed upon during the interview may become an entirely different job when you join the company.

8. The company has no complete system or structure. Everything the boss promises is bullshit used to trick you into joining.

9. The boss often assigns people the wrong work. For example, someone with community management experience may be assigned e-commerce marketing, someone with marketing experience may be assigned video production, and someone with video experience may be assigned to assist at the storefront, and so on. Then he blames the employees for not doing anything well.

10. The boss only allocates a very low budget to employees, yet expects ten times the results. Then he gives you an extremely short deadline, leaving you no choice but to work overtime to finish the job, and afterward says you worked too slowly and refuses to pay overtime.

In short, if you only want a low salary, to work yourself to death with overtime, to apply as a regular full-time employee but possibly become a short-term employee, and ultimately receive nothing, then if you are that unreasonable, you are welcome to join this company.

No matter how much the boss brags about how wealthy he is, do not believe him. In reality, his funds are not circulating smoothly at all, and he is not particularly capable either. He only made so much money before because he married a rich wife and had good luck. If you join this company now, even if you are not fired for no reason, the company and its storefront could suddenly go bankrupt!

The spring banquet that keeps getting postponed

Cons

If you want immediate sales, please hire salespeople, boss!

The audiovisual department is not the sales department. We only want to use minimal manpower to produce professional videos, yet you give us no time and simply assume that employees are slacking off or incapable of getting the work done. This is extremely disrespectful to employees.

The boss has not given employees any sales plans or strategies for the company, and the products ordered also seem to have been selected without any planning??? Yet you expect the one or two people in the audiovisual department to plan the sales strategy and targets for the entire company, select the products you think are right (you never directly tell us which products you want; every time we make a selection, you shoot it down and berate us for having no sales instincts), come up with video content, go out to film, serve as the host, edit, do voice-overs, and write copy. On top of that, you demand one high-traffic, high-quality video featuring beautiful scenery every day. Where exactly are we supposed to produce all of them?

P.S. You only remember the leave we take; you never remember telling us to stay and work overtime.

Pros

There’s a delicious pork rib noodle shop near the company. Awesome.

Cons

I originally didn’t want to post a negative review about a place like this, but I still have to tell anyone considering applying here: unless you can deliver “immediate results,” don’t come. I worked in a role related to video and audiovisual content, and the following are the areas where I repeatedly hit walls at this company:

1. The boss often manages employees like salespeople, requiring everyone to produce results. However, the boss has no central objective and only asks directly whether you have any ideas and what you can do to make money for the company. Then comes: How many units will the products sell? Will it be enough to earn back your salary?

2. The company hopes audiovisual content will produce results immediately, with gimmicks and creativity—ideally enough to trigger purchases. But the boss has never seemed interested in developing audiovisual content around the platform’s long-term goals. The only requirements are that it have quality and humor; beyond that, employees are expected to come up with everything themselves, while having no idea what he actually wants. He is constantly asking employees about their plans and proposals, but has never explained the company’s long-term goals, short-term goals, or sales strategy. He only criticizes employees for not being proactive. No matter what a proposal contains, the questions are always: Can it sell products? Can you guarantee that it will make money? Do you want to bet on it? Or, alternatively, can the number of likes and the traffic grow significantly? Conclusions like these from the boss only make people feel offended and disrespected.

3. He does not respect professional expertise. He has expressed the view that someone who edits videos should also be able to come up with proposals. He has also said that he could come up with a whole bunch of video ideas without even needing a script. In reality, his ideas are not impossible to execute, but they require time for planning and production. When we explained that “time” was needed to produce quality content, he would retort that we were not being proactive. In short, he is an overly simplistic businessman who would ideally like us to produce content covering everything under the sun. He does not understand video production and assumes that we are taking our time or just sitting at a computer. In reality, he simply wants you to do the best possible job, regardless of how much manpower and resources it requires.

4. Your job responsibilities will be delayed or disrupted by the boss’s other business matters. In short, the boss has not hired additional people to handle other operations, such as warehousing, so you will often have to help him deal with miscellaneous tasks that he himself has not planned for. Naturally, he also will not proactively tell you about overtime pay.

5. He frequently asks you for plans, but ultimately insists on interfering in what you are supposed to do. He is a boss with very strong opinions. On the one hand, he wants you to plan what you should do yourself; on the other hand, he says that what you want to do lacks productivity and efficiency. As a result, you often end up like a headless fly.

Finally: Think twice before coming to this company. If you have plenty of “ideas” and can “make money” for the company, then come on in!

Cons

From the time I left this company until now (more than six months), it has continued to advertise numerous social media-related positions, but in reality, it expects whoever is hired to know how to do everything and handle every task.

The owner of this company often likes to make grand promises without taking practical action or having reasonable ideas, leaving all the employees completely directionless.

Moreover, the owner is extremely disrespectful toward newly hired employees. They keep interviewing candidates repeatedly and, whenever they see someone better, periodically say to new hires and employees who have stayed a little longer: “I’ve heard better ideas. Are you sure this is feasible? Are you sure you’re capable of handling this job?” These unpleasant remarks make it obvious that they only want employees with a high cost-performance ratio, yet they are never willing to offer a high salary. This creates a vicious cycle: they cannot find good employees or retain talented people, and can only find new hires who can cope with the current vacancies. The turnover rate is so high it makes you question your life.

In addition, during interviews, the owner constantly demands that candidates come up with ideas (because they themselves have no ideas and only think about making money). When faced with a better candidate, the owner may even say outright: “I’m hiring an employee today so they can serve multiple purposes. Otherwise, why would I hire you?” This kind of exploitative-boss language only makes employees want to blow their head off.

In short, this is a company I strongly recommend that everyone avoid joining. If you have ability, do not come here and waste your time.

Interview: Warehouse Staff

The company is not large, and the warehouse is cluttered with many miscellaneous items. They also added an e-commerce store, so things have been placed outside.

During the interview, they said they were looking for someone to organize and store items in the warehouse.
