Cons

High turnover. They rely on their name to keep tricking people into joining. At first, they pretend to treat you very well and make it look like the work is being distributed reasonably, but in reality, there are only this many people, and someone is constantly resigning. Once enough time has passed, they dump everything on you all at once, then pretend to be reasonable and ask to meet with you. They say they value you, but that your performance is still not good enough, so if you can proactively take on or pursue some business, they will properly evaluate your performance review and results. It’s all the emperor’s new clothes—the end result is still little money, no different from tossing a few coins to a beggar. If you can’t endure it and want to leave, they immediately deduct all your bonuses. A terrible company that drives away talent through sheer incompetence.

Pros

Convenient transportation

Cons

The following is just a nightmare-like account~ Being busy at work isn't the main issue; the main issue is doing lots of incomprehensible things that take you further and further away from your professional expertise. The supervisor is a PUA expert. You have to write diaries and record attendance down to the exact minute you got on the vehicle, with a map attached. The company's most senior veteran takes an entire day to report a business trip because they are too slow! Even the amount of toilet paper you use is monitored! The people who earn the most have the least to do; apart from questioning and exploiting others, they haven't demonstrated any particular expertise. You can't even discuss resigning without immediately being bullied by the supervisor! Don't be foolish—if it were really that good, why would the turnover rate be so high? Don't be foolish—do you think you will grow here? You won't; you might as well go work at a corporation! Don't be foolish—do you think you can stay here until retirement? If you could, who would want to resign? As for the bonuses mentioned during recruitment, take them with a grain of salt, because transparency and openness simply don't exist. Smiling to your face while secretly giving you only a tiny bonus is nothing new. It's an unfriendly workplace; this is the first time I've encountered an office with such strong solidarity when it comes to resigning.

Pros

The company looks perfectly normal from the outside

Close to an MRT station

There’s a MOS Burger nearby

Cons

As an already former employee (in a dream), I’d like to advise friends who are looking for a job or considering changing jobs: life offers better choices. Don’t be deceived into joining companies that merely appear normal on the surface, only to sacrifice your health and self-confidence in the end.

At first, they constantly talked about “vision” and “opportunities,” making people mistakenly believe they had found the direction of their ideal career. But what is the reality?

The supervisor has an extremely strong need for control and is highly emotional, and the person in charge is the same—there are essentially two sources of pressure. Even your time after work has to be occupied. Offer suggestions? You’ll only be given the cold shoulder. The employee turnover rate is extremely high, but the company has long since gotten used to it. They use people up and discard them; the next batch will soon fill the vacancies.

If they can’t control you, they start throwing tantrums and using emotional blackmail, and they even require you to submit a daily diary report. As soon as they’re unhappy with you, they start looking for reasons to verbally bully you and withhold your bonuses. The bonus system is completely opaque: the boss gives them out when they’re in a good mood, and gives you nothing when they’re not. Everything is handled according to their mood; what they say yesterday and today can be worlds apart. Supervisors also sow discord behind people’s backs and make veiled, sarcastic remarks. They are often the ones best at playing mind games.

The external culture looks wonderful, but in reality, the only advantage is being close to an MRT station, which makes commuting seem convenient. Internally, however, it’s a complete mess—extremely shady. Everything has to be controlled; even toilet paper must be signed out. In a place like this, forget about personal growth. The longer you stay, the more your self-confidence will erode, your mood will sink, and you’ll start questioning your life.

The supervisor loves to make grand promises but gives you no practical resources. When you resign, they will definitely “smile” and wish you well, while quietly spreading word that they will make sure you can’t survive in this field.

If you’re considering joining a consulting company, please think twice. There are truly places more deserving of your effort and dedication.

Life is long. Don’t push yourself into a pit of fire that will drain all your energy and dignity.

Cons

1) Supervisors give raises and promotions to whoever they like. They change policies whenever they want and are experts at making empty promises.

2) The digital bank is very good at advertising its benefits: a 1.5-month year-end bonus, performance reviews, and performance bonuses (not based on full salary). I have never seen the performance review scores and do not know how the bonuses are calculated. Only the supervisors receive a lot; those below them can only get a tiny, tiny, tiny share... just the leftovers. There is no technical allowance (NT$5K–10K, depending on job grade) during the first three months. After three months, you have to “remind” your supervisor to submit the approval before you can receive it; if you do not get it, it is not paid retroactively.

3) You have to front a lot of money, and it takes one to two months to get it back. They collect money very quickly but pay it back very slowly.

4) They like to recruit people with no experience, saying they can train them, and use this to bind them to contracts and treat them as disposable chopsticks.

5) The supervisor has no ability and only talks. After all, they got to that position by riding on someone’s coattails.

6) They are very good at PUA, but do not know it themselves.

Pros

Generally high salaries and fairly good benefits

Work intensity varies depending on the course offerings

Cons

The IT department is not very professional, shifts responsibility, and often has no clear understanding of the situation. The website interface is unattractive and difficult to use

Supervisors sometimes assign additional strange tasks and often do not understand the situation themselves

Some supervisors also say strange things that can easily lead to misunderstandings

When you first join, supervisors will speak negatively about other colleagues

You need to be thick-skinned and good at shifting responsibility to work here
