The HR representative is genuinely attractive and also very nice; they will even chat with you.

Each HR representative is assigned to specific interviewees. When you go there, you’ll see that, as everyone says, many people are interviewing. Different HR representatives lead the sessions, and unless something unexpected happens, everyone gathers in one conference room to take a test. The test is different for each person. If you’re expected to write in English, it’s best to ask beforehand; otherwise, as others have said, you may feel cheated. After the test, the HR representative will take you to an individual interview.

Afterward, the supervisor will review the test and résumé. They will then decide whether there will be a second interview. (The company’s own online résumé form is extremely long and must be completed in full; it takes at least half an hour to an hour. It’s insanely long and will make you question your life choices—there’s probably only one thing they didn’t ask about: your measurements.) Whether there will be a second interview will not be communicated.

The interview process was very smooth, going from HR → the junior manager → the senior manager.

Usually, you only move on to the next interviewer if the previous one thinks you passed.

The HR person who scheduled the interview was very nice. Even when I wanted to reschedule, she always said it was up to me and never seemed impatient;

The junior-manager lady spoke logically, and after asking her questions, she also told me how she would solve them herself;

I didn’t expect it—the interview that day was actually pretty enjoyable.

But I hope they can send me an offer soon, haha.

Although the Datong Building looks old on the outside, the office itself was renovated not long ago, and the environment is comfortable.

The interview reception involved the security guard at the first-floor reception desk (who told visitors to dial the extension number themselves to reach the relevant person). I waited in the reception area for 30 minutes.

1. HR got the interview time wrong and even thought I was late…

2. Before the interview, HR had not carefully reviewed the applicant’s résumé. She said she had been suddenly notified that she was supposed to interview me. We did not discuss anything about the company or the position at all; instead, she asked questions and shared things that were unimportant and unrelated to the job responsibilities…

3. HR engaged in employment discrimination (gender). After reviewing my résumé, the male manager shared what he considered to be his experience: “[Many young women who have just graduated are just like you—they take administrative receptionist positions in the technology industry and can conveniently find an engineer boyfriend while they’re at it…]” Hearing this made me feel extremely disgusted. It showed no respect for the female applicant’s previous work experience. He spoke as if he were absolutely right, with an arrogant and condescending tone. (I was stunned at the time, and my mind went completely blank. I couldn’t listen anymore… I just wanted to leave as soon as possible.)

4. When the HR manager explained the position, the description was extremely vague. Even after I asked questions, she was unable to answer them, and the target candidate profile for the role was unclear.

5. The attitude when finally presenting the offer was also very poor…

I was stood up for the interview!

Fifteen minutes after the scheduled time, no one had shown up. I later followed up via email and 104, but they only read the messages without replying. This was extremely disrespectful to the interviewee! It is easy to imagine that situations like this would happen frequently after joining the company as well.

The HR staff were very polite.

1. The HR interviewer was more than 10 minutes late to the video interview.

2. The hiring manager said they had to settle the accounts and could not conduct the interview:

Why not simply reschedule the interview date directly?

3. The interview was interrupted because the manager called HR.

In the end, they wanted to reschedule the date for a second interview, but I really didn’t want to go anymore.

It felt like the internal communication and recruitment process were... really poor.

The HR staff had a good attitude.

It took more than two months, from the initial interview and second interview to the so-called salary approval stage. They asked for a lot of private salary information, then requested references, and after that there was no news for three weeks. It was only after you proactively inquired that they called to say they had been on leave, so they had not proactively responded (I was dumbfounded). In the end, they said that because of an internal transfer, the company prioritized internal employees, but the manager said that they needed the stimulation of different new blood (contradicting each other).

Conclusion: After spending so much time with each other, the outcome was truly bewildering. Other companies gave me offers normally; no wonder this kind of difference has led to selling buildings, moving back to Datong, and living off the company’s reserves.

Suggestion: Stop collecting interviewees’ salary information!

I had an interview a few months ago. The HR representative was young, friendly, and fairly attractive, but too rigid in thinking. They only asked the standard, rehearsed questions and showed no flexibility. They asked why I wanted to leave my current company, and after I answered, they questioned me with a “victim-blaming” attitude, which left a very bad impression.

HR has a good attitude, and the building is very new and comfortable.

The salary is not promising. HR is very good at making the position sound appealing. At the beginning, they say the salary is negotiable and encourage you to expect it to fall within the range you want. They also ask candidates to provide proof of salary, which seems like a very positive and fair salary-setting process. However, the actual offer is based on cutting down from your previous salary... It is truly an astonishing way to recruit—perhaps they are collecting salary information under false pretenses, or perhaps they are simply being careless...

They proactively invited me to an interview on 104, yet their tone was unpleasant. The HR representative was a man. Aren’t my education and work experience already stated there? If you have doubts, then simply don’t invite me to an interview. He called to ask questions expressing suspicion, was long-winded, and his tone was also unpleasant. The quality of the HR staff needs improvement.

1. The HR representative who conducted the interview was very friendly, and the meeting room was high-tech. On my first day, they also introduced the company environment and other information new hires need to know.

2. Free lunch and fruit are provided, which is very convenient.

3. As mentioned during the interview, the working hours are flexible. Since I live far away, this is a real plus for me.

4. A benefits package is available to apply for and use, helping subsidize expenses such as insurance and transportation.

5. The hiring manager mentioned that there is a new-hire bonus, which I’m quite looking forward to.

Traffic in Neihu is quite congested during commuting hours, so I recommend taking the MRT.

There is free lunch, a basement parking lot (which is great for me as someone who rides a scooter!), subsidies for high-speed rail when traveling, and a gym upstairs.

First, I completed a written test, followed by an HR interview and then an interview with the supervisor. Overall, the interviews felt good. From being notified of the salary determination to receiving the formal offer, the process was fairly quick.

After I received an interview invitation and finalized the time with HR, shortly before the interview date, another HR representative informed me that the previous HR representative had just resigned. Since they had scheduled interviews with too many people before leaving, they hoped I could change the interview time. That was when I began to feel that there might really be something wrong with this company.

On the rescheduled interview day, just as people online had said, a group of applicants took a written test together. Although this was a situation I had never encountered in all my years, I could still accept it. After finishing the test and contacting HR, I was taken to another conference room to wait for the hiring manager to come for the interview. However, after waiting for more than twenty minutes, HR came in and told me that the manager was in a meeting and they had been unable to reach them, so the interview had to be ended on short notice. At that point, I was truly certain that there were serious problems with this company.

A few days passed, but I never received any notice about continuing the unfinished interview from last time. Instead, I found a rejection email in my inbox. This company really, truly treats interviewees like playthings. The negative reviews online were not falsely accusing you at all. If a company can even mess up such a basic interview process this badly, I sincerely feel that this company is beyond saving.

For everyone planning to interview here, I strongly advise you to believe these negative reviews. And if you really have plenty of time and want to see this for yourself, then go to the interview. Good luck!!

Impressive building, employee meals provided, and a gym and yoga studio on the top floor

Severe infighting among senior management; the various BUs constantly fight among themselves. They can pretend everything is fine on the surface while stabbing each other in the back behind the scenes—very impressive.

The HR representative was very attractive.

The interview should have set aside at least 3–4 hours. They beat around the bush instead of directly saying that there is no overtime pay. Overall, it was a huge waste of time.

The building environment is grand, beautiful, and clean.

I deeply felt disrespected!!

When inviting me for an interview, the HR representative had already asked over the phone whether there would be an English test.

The HR representative said: “No, it’s just some questions related to the profession.”

I said: “Something like a logic test?”

The HR representative kept repeating: “It’s just some questions related to the profession.”

In fact, it was an “English test” with questions “related to the profession.”

Okay, my poor English is indeed a major shortcoming.

But I wanted to clarify everything to avoid wasting both parties’ time.

What possible reason was there for deceiving me like this???

First, I interviewed with a very beautiful HR representative who was also very good at chatting, so the conversation was very pleasant.

Next, the hiring manager came in and asked me to introduce myself. She explained in detail what kind of work the person they were looking for would be responsible for and asked whether I was interested in those products and the work. All the questions were asked in Chinese.

The manager was also a very beautiful and commanding woman. The team seemed to consist mostly of young, energetic people. Unlike other companies, the company had already assembled engineers, sales staff, and others into a team to carry out projects.

Before going to the interview, I had to fill out an online résumé with an overwhelming number of short-answer questions. It took more than half an hour.

Questions included what I liked and disliked about my previous supervisor, my interests and hobbies, my ideal supervisor’s management style... so many.

The HR representative was polite and quick to respond. Unfortunately, the person who handled my application at the time has since left the company.

The first interview with the manager went quite well, and we even exchanged LINE contact information. However, I was told that this position still required another application to the company, and that I could try other opportunities. They also asked when they could call me again to follow up. Later, when the time came, I was informed that another department in the same BU had an opening and asked whether I could come in again for an interview with another manager. As a result, this manager kept me waiting for more than an hour. HR called him several times during that time, and he kept saying he was on his way, but he never showed up. When I was about to reschedule with HR, HR made one final call to him, and he said over the phone that he would be quick and could finish in just over 10 minutes. It felt terrible—I had waited for more than an hour, and he had already decided to dismiss me in 10 minutes. It was very disrespectful. I also followed up proactively afterward. They later said that they would notify me regardless of the outcome, but in reality, they never contacted me—it was simply a silent rejection.

The HR representative was quite nice during the interview and proactively reminded me what to prepare for the written test. The company environment and benefits appear to be good.

The interviewer said that I would be notified by email regardless of the outcome, but there was no response at all. When I called to ask, I was told they would follow up with the manager, but there was still no result. After looking through some information online, it seems that if you do not meet with the manager during the interview, you essentially should not have too high of an expectation.

The interviewer was really low-class and very rude. The interview was originally scheduled for the morning, but they didn't even come to work in the morning and made me wait until the afternoon. So rude.

The building facilities are modern and new.

Some HR staff are very attractive, but unfortunately, attractiveness can't put food on the table.

1. Although this company has a system for claiming overtime pay, the application requirements have recently become stricter. In other words, they want you to work overtime but not claim overtime pay.

2. This place places great emphasis on bureaucratic culture, so you'll probably adapt better if you know how to use official-sounding language.

3. They're willing to spend big money but unwilling to spend small amounts.

4. Pay special attention to whether your supervisor recruited you, rather than the company recruiting you (when the two sides eventually make you choose which side to support).

The building is new and beautiful, and the location is excellent. Unfortunately, the people inside…

The Elite Center specializes in recruiting… just like the reviews online say. Whatever you do, don't ignore the warning signs.

Basically, anyone who can stay for more than three years is definitely a "talent".

A terrible company. After the interview, HR even called my current workplace to ask all sorts of questions, causing me to lose my job. What a despicable company.

The company is located in the Neihu Technology Park, which makes it convenient to interview with other companies without having to take time off.

1. Shows very little respect for interviewees. They proactively invited me to interview, but before I started the written test, they did not inform me that it had to be completed in English. After I submitted it, they then asked me to redo it in English. It was clearly the HR department’s failure to provide proper notice, yet they expected me to do the rework. Moreover, the company is clearly Taiwanese-owned, so I cannot understand the need to translate the written-test answers into Chinese (is the manager a foreign national?).

2. Shows very little respect for interviewees. After I completed the written test and interviewed with HR, I was told to wait for the manager’s interview. But I ended up waiting for 1.5 hours. By the time it was 5:30 p.m. and the office lights had automatically turned off, the manager still had not shown up (the “smart home” advertised in the lobby is truly ironic—didn’t it detect this guy pacing around the conference room the whole time?!). When I called HR, all I got was a response that they had already urged the manager. I thought that even if I was not good enough for the company, they could simply let me go home; leaving me stranded in a conference room was really pointless. There should be a limit to how badly people are treated. So I called HR and said I was leaving (I had already waited an hour and a half—by then, I could have driven all the way to Hsinchu!), since I did not need this job anyway. I decided to treat it as a one-day trip to Neihu. Then HR said the manager was available. What kind of act was this supposed to be ... @@a

3. The company is part of the Tatung Group. I previously worked at one of the group’s subsidiaries, so I consider this a drawback: the company has an especially large number of ridiculous and incompetent issues. But because the Technology section on PTT said that the HR staff were attractive, I thought I might as well come and take a look since I had nothing else to do. Now I feel there must have been some misunderstanding .... XDD

4. The salary does not guarantee 14 months of pay.

5. Performance reviews are conducted once every quarter. I confirmed repeatedly that employees really do have to write four reviews a year. Most companies usually do this twice a year.

During the interview, both the supervisor and HR kept asking about my willingness to work overtime, making it feel like overtime would be required every day.

1. Unexpected layoffs for the sake of the financial statements, followed by recruiting new people for the same positions six months after the layoffs.

2. The general manager requires everyone to work at least one hour of overtime every day—even if it’s just sitting idly in the office. (Of course, there is no overtime pay.)
