Pros

The work is not difficult, and the supervisors and colleagues in the other departments are generally nice. There is a clear promotion system.

Cons

The person who needs to improve is the supervisor herself. If her “indoctrination sessions” could be shortened from two or three hours to two or three minutes, that would be ideal. Truly unimportant matters do not need to be repeated over and over—it is an enormous waste of time. By the time there is time to do actual work, it is almost the end of the workday or already after hours. In particular, there is really no need to talk so much about company gossip; we do not want to know any of it.

Having to deal with a supervisor who has poor emotional management and serious emotional issues is truly exhausting. When we come to work, we also have to act as her personal assistant for her private matters and serve as a trash can for her emotional venting. It feels like this alone could qualify us to seek emotional-distress compensation from the company. Then every day we have to divine what the supervisor wrote in her work assignments. If we cannot read cursive, apparently that is all the subordinates’ problem—it is supposedly because we are all blind.

The supervisor says she is highly capable and used to do everything by herself. It seems there should be no need to recruit subordinates for the department anymore. If you still want to go for an interview, best of luck—and consider yourself warned.

Pros

None.

Cons

During the interview, they only said that I would need to ride my own scooter. It was only after I started that I found out there was no fuel reimbursement. If the scooter is parked in a designated parking space and a parking fee is charged, I have to pay it myself; if I temporarily park on a red line and receive a ticket, I have to bear that cost myself as well.

A detachable delivery box cannot be installed on the scooter, so the company suggests removing the tail wing and paying out of pocket to have a bracket installed at a motorcycle shop. Others have paid for their own delivery bags to hang on both sides of their scooters.

The company does not provide a phone, only a SIM card, so I have to pay out of pocket for an unlocked phone.

The company does not provide a small bag for carrying the equipment, printer, and loose change. I also have to spend my own money to prepare one.

At the beginning, new employees are not given uniforms. They are told that they can only apply for one after 21 days. Wearing your own clothes makes them easy to soil and wear out. The sleeves do not have pen pockets, which is inconvenient, and the pants do not have pockets on both sides for storing small tools needed for work. Otherwise, you have to spend your own money buying work pants!

Before I have even started earning money, I already have to spend a sum of my own money, ride my own scooter to make deliveries for the company, and pay for the fuel myself. Even though I am working for the company, if I get a ticket, I just have to swallow the cost myself. Is this reasonable? “Because our delivery bonus of 11 dollars is much higher than those of other companies in the same industry” is the only line they use to shut you up. Sure enough, the wool comes from the sheep’s back.

Pros

Only an interview and aptitude test

Cons

I was notified that I had been accepted and was given a start date.

However, I still had not received written confirmation of the onboarding arrangements by the day before my start date. I called to inquire and only then learned that the position had been put on hold.

Pros

Only had the interview; I didn’t have any particularly strong positive or negative impressions.

Cons

I previously went for an interview for a marketing-related position and was first asked to take an aptitude test. It was the usual type where you rate, from one to five, how frequently a given situation occurs. It could be completed quickly, but several questions were quite odd—for example, one asked, “Do you hear a voice in your head?” I thought, “Is this about schizophrenia?”

Afterward, HR led me to a meeting room, where I met a woman with a somewhat Southeast Asian accent. She was fairly friendly, but she immediately said she wanted to see projects I had worked on before. I found this a little strange, since this part is usually handled by the hiring marketing manager.

I still presented the projects I had worked on, but I felt that she did not really understand marketing. She did not ask any questions about my proposal or engage in any further discussion. After that, she just asked why I had left my previous job, my expected salary, and so on.

However, HR was the one deciding at the first stage whether candidates would proceed to a second interview with the hiring manager. This interview process made me choose to give up halfway through, because I realized that even when I asked HR questions about the company’s marketing work, her answers were very superficial.

Having someone outside the relevant professional field choose candidates for that field made me feel that my hour and a half had been wasted. Their company is also difficult to find. Overall, I can only say that the experience left me feeling quite negative.

Pros

The interview experience was very memorable, and the candidate was treated with respect. From the HR team's interview arrangements, to the aptitude test on the day of the interview, followed by separate interviews with two consecutive managers, they were willing to listen to the candidate's answers and provide information. They did not directly judge the candidate's abilities or salary based on educational background or work experience, and the entire interview process was highly objective.
