Pros

1. The transportation is fairly convenient.

2. The building looks quite nice, and the office environment does not look bad.

3. The interview is first announced by phone, followed by confirmation via email.

4. After the interview, the expected notification time is announced, and an email notification is sent (a thank-you letter).

5. During the interview, the department supervisor and HR conduct separate interviews.

The interviews are conducted normally. They ask about the contents of the résumé; the supervisor explains the job responsibilities, while HR focuses on personality traits.

Cons

1. The interview notification email requires applicants to fill out the company’s standard résumé form and answer related questions, which feels like a waste of time.

2. On the day of the interview, a lot of time must be spent answering test questions involving logic concepts and similar topics.

Hi everyone, I’m Ian Hsu from the small-ass Innovation and Incubation Center. Asia-Pacific is basically the end of the telecom chain, so there’s no need to worry about being too busy with R&D—you’ll have plenty of time to do your own things.

Cons

The manager is very difficult to communicate with and is also very good at putting on airs, taking credit, and pretending to understand everything. In any case, as long as you don’t get involved with him, you’ll be fine.

Hi everyone, I’m Ian Hsu from the small-but-mighty Innovation and Incubation Center. Asia-Pacific is basically the tail end of telecommunications, so there’s no need to worry about being too busy with R&D—you’ll have plenty of time to do your own things.

Cons

The manager is very difficult to communicate with and loves to posture, taking credit for everything and pretending to understand. Anyway, as long as you don’t get involved with him, you’ll be fine.

Company-operated stores are basically a thankless job. Even though the signal does not improve, staff are constantly pressured to produce sales results. If they cannot, they are required to open mobile lines under their own names, regardless of whether they will lose money. This is especially true of Wu X-Da, the so-called regional manager of the northern region, who uses intimidation and threats. If you are assigned to his region, all I can say is: fend for yourself.

I work at an incubator center, and basically there isn't much to do.

There is plenty of time to do the things I want to do.

I can chat with everyone about interests, basketball, and things like that.

Cons

There isn't much of a future here. Basically, we cobble together whatever we can for the companies in the incubator to make their exterior look polished, and then get ready to find someone to be the bagholder.

Everyone basically understands what kind of story 5G is. Given the current environment, having to put on this kind of packaging really makes me feel ashamed.

Other than that, J's management is disorganized, which makes communication difficult. This person lacks ability; if you join, try to stay as far away as possible.

A telecom company acting like a VC—really ridiculous.

Pros

1. The interviewer was kind and punctual.

2. The job responsibilities were explained in great detail, allowing the applicant to be mentally prepared.

Cons

1. They did not notify me in advance that there would be a test. The logic questions ranged from easy to difficult, which was a huge waste of time, and I could not leave until I met the required threshold.

2. You have to arrive 20 minutes early for work to do preparations such as cleaning, but this time is not counted as working hours—they even try to take advantage of you over this.

3. The website said assignments would be made near your place of residence, but during the interview they asked whether I could accept a vacancy at a distant store.

4. You also have to canvass around night markets, traditional markets, and similar places, handing out flyers outside.

5. Only company-operated stores can terminate the contract, so you have to bear negative performance targets that you would not encounter at a franchise store.

The benefits are just average. It feels like the interviewer didn’t carefully review the résumé before asking me to come in for an interview. I really wouldn’t recommend it.

Pros

Don't know, didn't get in.

Cons

After HR sent the interview notification, they completely ghosted me. I called twice, but both times a colleague answered and said they would definitely get back to me—then they never called again. It's quite disrespectful to job applicants. It may be an issue with the individual HR person, but this kind of attitude seems like something a fresh graduate would do and is extremely unprofessional. Just sharing for everyone's reference.

Pros

I seriously thought about it, and really couldn't come up with anything.

Cons

To be honest, this is the most frightening company I have ever worked for. There were constant internal power struggles between departments, and the company atmosphere was so bad that going to work was painful every day. I resigned after working there for only a month. The old-timers never even looked newcomers in the eye. At lunchtime, they kept things very clearly separated: one table for the veterans and one table for the rookies. Once, I even quietly went to the conference room and ate my boxed lunch alone. How old are you all, still playing these kinds of games? If you don't have a strong enough heart, don't come for an interview. That's all.

Work experience as an accounts receivable collection representative

1. The supervisors I encountered were very nice, and the women in the team were also very kind.

2. Public holidays are days off. Saturday overtime, which is uncommon at present, is also optional.

3. The work is simple and fairly routine.

4. Fixed working hours from 9:00 to 18:00; two days per month are from 10:00 to 19:00.

5. Bonuses are calculated based on individual recovery rates.

6. The pre-employment training is fairly comprehensive, and questions can still be asked after starting work.

Cons

1. The operating procedures at Asia-Pacific Telecom are disorganized, which easily leads to customer complaints (mainly involving retail staff and customer service).

2. You often encounter difficult or rude customers, which trains your patience and temper (people frequently complain about Asia-Pacific Telecom’s poor reception ORZ).

3. Recruitment is mainly handled by staffing agencies placing people at Asia-Pacific Telecom. The initial interview arrangements are chaotic; when you call the number provided, they tell you to call someone else for the interview.

4. Making many phone calls can be somewhat tiring (especially when dealing with difficult customers), and the work is somewhat monotonous.

5. There are occasional instances of rats appearing at the company?

Pros

1. In 2015, there were KPI and satisfaction bonuses, but only the top three received them.

2. The number of days off each month corresponded to the number of public holidays that month.

Cons

1. The 0800 customer service team had high turnover, and newcomers were easily overwhelmed and left.

2. The call volume was high, and newcomers could not receive immediate assistance when they encountered problems.

3. Overtime was routine, and notification often came just one hour before the end of the shift.

4. It was an open-plan office located in the basement of a commercial building; the environment was poor and noisy.

5. Almost everyone entered through a staffing agency. You had to complete at least one year of basic work and wait for a permanent position to become available before you could be hired as a permanent employee; otherwise, you could not receive the benefits of a company’s regular employees.

I graduated from university in 2015 and joined through a staffing agency. I stayed there for about six months. The nature of the work at the company was that the daily working hours were not fixed. Basically, the situation was as described above. The salary was generally around 26,000–27,000. Before joining, you needed to be mentally prepared, have strong stress tolerance, and be able to manage negative emotions. In addition, the customer service staff were divided into small teams, and each team leader had a different management style. What I found particularly difficult was that we often had to clean up the mess left by the renewal customer service team. It was difficult for the renewal customer service department to recruit sales staff. If you simply want to gain customer service experience, you could consider it. Basically, if you got an interview, you were usually hired directly.

Cons

1. Waited nearly 40 minutes before the interview started. Doesn't the applicant's time matter?

2. It did not match the original job posting on the employment website; the end-of-day time is actually based on a responsibility system…

Cons

After going through three tedious interviews and speaking with three managers and HR personnel (including logic and English tests), they notified me of the salary determination and benefits and asked me to confirm my start date as soon as possible. Two days later, they suddenly told me not to submit my resignation to my previous company yet because of an internal company issue (what issue?). After that, there was no news for some time. I followed up several times, and they finally agreed to give me a deadline by which they would provide a final response. As one might expect, they still did not respond. It has now been over a month, and the company’s attitude makes it seem as though this matter—and I as a person—never existed from beginning to end. I almost thought I was begging them to give me a job rather than participating in an equal employment relationship between employer and employee. It is clear that the company has major internal problems: not only is its cross-departmental communication chaotic, it also lacks even basic respect for job candidates. It treats talent as worthless and has none of the poise or stature expected of a company of its size. Extremely negative review—zero stars.

The office is full of infighting, including among the managers. Procurement doesn’t do procurement work. Unfortunately, after staying for three years, I had no choice but to resign.

HR constantly sets traps for me to fall into

They want to label me negatively

Also, the interviewing manager has an attitude of believing that rank makes them superior and that seniority means they know more

Pros

The salary is around 30,000-something.

Although days off are scheduled, the number of days off follows the number of red-letter days in that month.

Cons

Recently, the company has become increasingly outrageous. Every day, they send emails saying that we need to work overtime, and they send text messages every day saying that working overtime will earn extra performance points. Only time spent answering calls during working hours counts toward the hours.

In addition to eight hours of answering calls, we have to arrive at the company 15 minutes early every day to listen to the morning briefing, deliver documents to customers after work, take exams, and so on. As long as we are not answering calls, the time does not count toward our hours and is unpaid. My request for overtime pay for delivering documents was even rejected by my supervisor.

Customer service staffing has also been seriously insufficient throughout the past six months. Every time we answer a call, there are many customers complaining that they have been waiting for a long time, and they cannot get through even after making several calls. There is hardly any break during the eight hours, and calls from the telecom service keep coming in nonstop.
