Company environment and atmosphere:

This was my first interview in Neihu Technology Park. I was quite nervous at first, but when I arrived at the company lobby, I found it was not as tense as I had imagined. The interview was scheduled for around 5:30 p.m.

The interview took place in the sofa area, where I could hear some conversations. The overall atmosphere of the company felt quite relaxed. Although I was there for an interview, someone also came over to ask whether I wanted coffee. Compared with the previous few places where I had interviewed, the experience here was genuinely quite good.

Interview process: The interviewer, presumably the brand manager, first asked me to fill in some basic information. After I finished, they came to speak with me. I interviewed for a marketing and sales position. They first asked about my previous work experience, whether I had encountered setbacks at work, and whether I would be concerned about the commuting time because I live far away. The conversation was quite pleasant. It felt like they were asking from a place of concern and wanted to better understand the employee’s situation. They mentioned that they hoped employees could leave work on time.

I’m not sure whether the person in the second interview was the general manager, but they seemed to have a lot of experience in marketing. From the conversation, I felt that they had high expectations for new employees. If I have the opportunity to work here, I feel I could learn quite a lot.

The interview went on until 6:10 p.m., and I noticed that almost no one was there by then. Since my previous company often made us work overtime without paying overtime wages, this really made me feel that the company was quite good. It seems like a company where overtime is not required.

On the way home, I realized that transportation was not actually that inconvenient either. At least the route home was quite smooth.

I just finished the interview and am currently waiting to hear good news.

Since I ride a scooter, I had to look around a bit to find a parking spot for it.

1. The company environment is beautiful and is my ideal work environment...

2. During the interview, I was asked three questions: Why do you want to join Shiyi Biotechnology? How much do you know about Shiyi Biotechnology? What are your future career goals if you join Shiyi Biotechnology? And so on. The entire interview process consisted of two rounds, with HR and the boss. The boss was very enthusiastic and professional, and our conversation was efficient and pleasant. She also told me about the company’s future development and goals, as well as her expectations for this position.

I mainly really like the job responsibilities. Shiyi Biotechnology is a contract manufacturer of skincare products, and it also has three skincare brands: ERH, Modian, and Who Is Baby. It serves both B2B and B2C markets. I feel there is a lot of room to apply my abilities and many things to work on. The role is challenging, which I also enjoy. The compensation meets my expectations, and overall, I had a positive interview experience.

It is most convenient to take the MRT for transportation. At lunchtime, if you want to save money, you can probably only choose 7-ELEVEN.

I was already using skincare products from ERH, a brand under 10藝生技, and liked them quite a bit. That was also why I applied for and attended the interview. I thought working with products I like would probably give me more motivation!!

I had two interviews: first with HR, and second with the supervisor. The interview process started with a brief self-introduction, followed by the supervisor introducing the company and explaining the expectations for the position.

Questions they might ask:

1. Your thoughts on 10藝生技 and ERH

2. Your thoughts and suggestions regarding product promotion and overseas business

3. Why you want to interview for this position, etc.

Both the HR representative and the supervisor were quite friendly, and the Q&A process was fairly concise and well-paced. I really liked this straightforward interview process~

I rode my motorcycle to the interview, but I couldn't find a motorcycle parking space nearby and almost arrived too late for the interview @@

1. The company is fairly close to the MRT station, so transportation is convenient.

2. The company has an impressive environment. As soon as you enter, there is coffee and music, and you can see a large product display area that is beautifully arranged. Face masks and skincare products are all displayed there. Before coming for the interview, I looked up the products online and felt that the outer packaging design of the face masks had a very sophisticated look.

3. Unlike the experiences previously shared by others, the interview process I went through was unexpectedly smooth. The receptionist was quite friendly, and I went in for the interview in less than five minutes. The interviewer mainly asked about my previous work experience, why I wanted to interview with Shiyi Biotechnology, and so on. The atmosphere was quite pleasant.

Because the company is in Neihu, I walked around the area after the interview and felt that the prices of food seemed to be relatively high.

The company’s façade is fairly impressive.

The female boss verbally agreed to hire me, but I ended up receiving a rejection letter...

The female boss is very good at marketing herself and packaging her story, but everyone will have to judge her credibility for themselves.

The building's elevators are very fast

The female boss is extremely, extremely, extremely emotional. During meetings, she gets very worked up and forcefully slaps the whiteboard. She spends about 90% or more of the meeting berating people, completely without regard for anyone's dignity. She keeps repeating herself and boasting about her past achievements, but as for now....

She is very set in her own ways; any suggestions from others are treated as crap.

You can only do things her way, but she won't give you clear instructions, leaving you completely bewildered.

She can criticize anything, opposing things simply for the sake of opposition.

Anyone who is capable and has their own ideas, run for it!

After reading everyone’s reviews, I finally understand why I felt so confused. Everyone really did help clear up my doubts (?

Next, let me update this with my interview experience and timeline XDDDDD

1. The office environment is nowhere near good, especially considering the area. After I rang the doorbell at the entrance, someone opened the door, but no one came to greet me...... I had to ask someone passing by, who then showed me to a small round table to fill out my résumé. The entrance was quite grand, with lots of products and illustrations displayed beside it, but once I passed the sofa area and went farther inside, it was completely different—dark and messy. It felt like a pile of display racks and merchandise left over from a recently dismantled exhibition, with no one having tidied up, along with lots of the empty spaces everyone mentioned.

2. There were many questions on the résumé, and I spent quite a bit of time answering them seriously... Fortunately, I didn’t have to wait as long as the 30–40 minutes everyone else mentioned. The female owner came out pretty quickly. The first question she asked was, “What can you do??” First, let me clarify that I was interviewing for a visual design position. Naturally, I said I could do graphic design...... That was basically the only sentence I got to say that day; I had absolutely no chance to speak after that...... After hearing me, the female owner pulled me over to the sofa area and told me that she cared a lot about design, and that whenever she saw someone who looked smart, she really wanted to say a few more things... Then came the rapid-fire questions, just as others in the comments had described... She asked what made my skills different from other people’s. Wasn’t it just a matter of changing the wording and adjusting the layout? If I still needed training after joining, she might not be able to offer me the salary I expected. She said she had an illustrator she had worked with for a long time who made NT$90,000–100,000 a month from her (she even showed me the receipts), and that to reach that level, I would need to start over from scratch or something........ This part probably lasted 40–60 minutes.

3. Finally, she told me I could take on the company’s projects as an outsourced contractor, and that just the volume of her projects would definitely be enough to support me...... She wanted to know what I could do and where my abilities lay, so I should submit a proposal for her to review first, and then she would reassess my salary. When I was leaving, I wanted to look at their products and stood in front of the display cabinet for less than five minutes before being chased out~~

In conclusion, I probably wasn’t as angry as the others because the owner looked at me with an almost pitying gaze from beginning to end, as if I were some kind of pitiful person (???). Also, there was no need to fill out the résumé so seriously; from what I could tell, I didn’t even need to bring a portfolio, because the owner wouldn’t look at it anyway. She would gloss over things with vague, grandiose talk about the world, and after the interview I was left with that inexplicable feeling of “Where was I just now, and who am I?” Of course, I didn’t hear any of the usual interview questions about benefits and so on. All I know is that she praised an ugly illustration to such an extent that it was frankly insulting to other illustrators. There was no need for me to say more about the fact that, besides graphic design, I can also do web, multimedia, and UI work............... : )

The office is super beautiful, exactly the kind of environment I dreamed of.

The female boss will ask you why you’re leaving at the end. She thinks every reason is no big deal, saying that the company or supervisor’s requirements are perfectly reasonable. In the end, it always becomes the fault of those of us who resigned. I found it absolutely hilarious at the time—if we hadn’t resigned, how would you have had an interview? She also said that if you’re here to learn, then they won’t offer you the salary you’re expecting, because you’re here to learn and grow, so why should the company give you that kind of salary? I’d really like to know what she would say if a fresh graduate went to interview with her.

Practicing acting will greatly strengthen your nerves.

Believe everything you saw and experienced during the interview, because it was not a coincidence—it only gets worse.

The turnover rate is extremely high. The female boss has no intention of stabilizing it; instead, she believes that aggressively replacing old employees with new ones is excellent.

There is a lot of infighting, which senior management thoroughly enjoys, while employees suffer terribly.

The female boss is emotional and will lose control, shouting and yelling. She also keeps all authority firmly in her own hands, leaving you no room to realize your ambitions.

Those with a high tolerance for subservience are welcome; capable people should run, because even if you achieve outstanding results, she will still consider you very unprofessional. In the end, you can only do things her way, and the result is...

The female boss's meetings usually last two to three hours, although the key points could be explained in five minutes; the rest is just repetitive rambling. She also has a very poor sense of time and may make job applicants wait two hours, apparently because her business has grown too large, so she is always late.

This company has been operating for ten years, yet internally it is still completely disorganized like a startup, without a startup's high energy or flexibility.

Do not believe online PR articles or official videos. I regret being so stubbornly skeptical; UrSalary and TienEye are both telling the truth.

The boss does whatever they want and thinks they know everything, making it very difficult for those below them to do their jobs. The company's products keep winning awards, but what good is that if the products don't sell? The turnover rate is very high.

The decor is okay.

1. I waited near the entrance for 40 minutes.

2. If you don't actually need staff, please don't ask people to come in for interviews, okay? You said that an experienced employee had left and that you needed to find a replacement first... You invited me to interview without even looking at the résumé I submitted beforehand....

The HR person was very courteous, and the office was fairly nice, but that was simply because money had been poured into it. There really weren't any other advantages.

The boss is a woman who speaks very rudely. During the interview, the HR person sitting beside her looked extremely worried on her behalf. The product is ugly, yet she kept saying that she had great “sense” and constantly hyping up her own worth. Her conversation had little substance—she only talked about how hard she worked while putting other people down. She nearly lost her temper during the interview, and only then did the boss rein herself in a little. A typical case of being afraid of the tough ones and bullying the weaker ones. There were lots of empty desks in the office, and the atmosphere at work felt strange. When I made eye contact with employees, their vacant looks seemed to say: “Whatever you do, don’t come here!!!” With a boss like this, whether you’re a new hire or applying for a senior position, you really must be careful!!! Words are limited, but my feelings are sincere: don’t joke around with your own time and future. Look at your next option—you’ll thank me!

During the interview, they seemed quite sincere and took the time to fill out the interview questionnaire seriously. However, spending a full three hours on it was quite unbelievable.

The company's product is indeed quite good to use.

The boss manages by bypassing the chain of command, directly asking employees about the shortcomings of mid-level managers, and then questioning both sides in turn. It feels rather awkward, and the turnover rate is extremely high.

The environment is good

The interviewer seemed to be the female owner/boss—very arrogant and discourteous, constantly questioning the candidate’s experience. I had also started a business and decided to close it after two years because the losses became unbearable, but she harshly questioned me about why I had given up. When the funds ran out, why didn’t I borrow money? She said that she herself had borrowed over ten million at the time, and so on. Throughout the entire interview, she simply criticized you and boasted about herself. Finally, she said, “I’ll give you three months (you won’t be paid and don’t need to come to the company) and see what results you can achieve. Then I’ll decide whether to hire you.”

The company's office decor is of a certain standard.
