After being shown a few times, you're expected to know how to do it immediately. There is no SOP for new employees to learn; instead, new hires are expected to find the right person when they encounter a problem and ask them verbally on their own.
You have to take your own notes and learn, becoming competent within a week and taking over immediately.
No one hands over work from the previous employee. Anyone who wants to join should ask carefully during the interview and think it through. The company has a bunch of internal LINE groups, and there are constant messages after work, including both work-related matters and casual chat. After work and on weekends, it feels like a bombardment of fatigue.

but once you join, you’ll have to teach yourself SketchUp to fit their needs.
Even if you know how to use Illustrator and Photoshop to draw perspectives and exhibition spaces,
they’ll still require you to convert them into SketchUp for use.
The salary they’re willing to offer isn’t high, overtime is frequent, and parking is extremely difficult to find.

The supervisor made it clear: working hours are regulated, but after-hours work is based on personal responsibility; there is no overtime pay or compensatory leave for attending exhibitions on holidays or carrying out other work duties.
During the legally mandated home-isolation period, it is treated as working from home. Human Resources also announced that after the aforementioned isolation period, if the rapid test result is positive, employees must still return to the office to work; otherwise, they must take additional sick leave or annual leave at their own expense.
The company is pretty good to its employees in some respects. The office is spacious and well-lit, and the restrooms are reasonably clean. It provides equipment such as microwaves and refrigerators, which is quite convenient for people who bring their own lunch. Colleagues within the department get along fairly well. The computers provided for designers have excellent performance, and some of the policies are fairly people-oriented. It has somewhat of an international-company feel. I heard that a contract was signed this year to issue shares.
For people who do not commute by scooter, transportation is somewhat inconvenient. Although there are some places to eat nearby, the selection is limited, so many colleagues order delivery. I heard that there have been some adjustments to the benefits system, but everything listed on 104 is included—it is just those benefits. Certain departments may have some issues, and the turnover rate is somewhat high, but most departments seem fine. The company has not held an employee trip for two years, although that is probably because of the pandemic. There are benefits for the three traditional festivals and so on, but the amounts are not high. I heard the year-end bonus is approximately one month’s salary.
The company is quite well-known in certain fields, but people who do not collect toys or figurines are probably very unfamiliar with it.
The owner is a toy collector himself, and the company has a fairly sizable design team. The overall atmosphere is relatively relaxed, possibly because both the owner and the colleagues are young. The office is not the kind of place with a serious, silent atmosphere.
As soon as you exit the elevator, you can see a large Star Wars figure. Beside the reception desk is an entire display wall filled with various toys. The office is bright, and the meeting rooms are named after different toy series, with movie posters inside. Many people have desks piled high with toys or figurines. For people who love American comics, Disney, and Pixar, this is probably a pretty wonderful place to work.
Although you should not set your expectations too high for things like year-end bonuses, some of the smaller benefits—such as birthday leave, fully paid sick leave, flexible working hours, and the company renting sports courts for employees to play on—are quite nice. This year (2020), despite the impact of the pandemic, salaries were still adjusted upward. It feels like the owner is someone who shares the profits with employees.
The company has grown very quickly. In just 10 years since its founding, it has grown to its current size of more than 100 and nearly 200 employees. However, some of its internal systems and processes have not kept pace. Certain areas lack clear guidelines, coordination between departments is still being adjusted, and it feels like there will be a further period of adjustment. People who are accustomed to having clear SOPs may find it somewhat difficult to adapt.
