The silver lining in misfortune: I’m still alive and safe^^

Cons

The former boss often said that they treated us as partners, not employees, but everything they did was even worse than how ordinary employees were treated....

The several reviews above are all true. At the time, we even went to discuss with the former boss that turning off the air conditioning made the indoor air very stagnant (because there were absolutely no windows opposite), and we were only asking for basic air circulation. We weren’t the only group of employees to raise this concern, but the former boss’s response was that turning off the air conditioning at three or four in the afternoon (we got off at six) was a matter of usage habits?? Turning it off early was to take care of the air conditioner.....

It was absolutely ridiculous. So does that mean we could also shut down our computers at three or four and go home, to take care of the computers?

I don’t know whether the working environment was so terrible, but every employee who joined ended up in much worse health. Even those who were normally healthy developed serious illnesses. Raising the issue was useless; it was simply impossible to communicate! (And yet the boss loved saying that they were a boss who could communicate.)

Toward the end, the air conditioning was turned off even before three or four—in the middle of the day—whenever the boss was going out, completely ignoring the fact that there were still employees in the workspace. There were also several times when employees arrived at the office in the morning and couldn’t find the air-conditioner remote control (later, we discovered that the boss had locked it in their own office).

Otherwise, the boss’s wife would come into the office and directly set the air conditioner to turn off automatically at a certain time^^ (Were the bosses treating the remote control like a relay-race baton?)

I don’t know why the basic workplace necessity of air circulation had to be brought up on this website (even I find it laughable),

but precisely because it was so laughable and absurd, I wanted people who are considering joining to see this and think twice.

There are many other inside stories and underhanded actions, but I won’t go into them.

In short, everything about this company was absurd....

Pros

Leaving work on time (though it was my colleagues who urged everyone to leave together, not a rule set by the boss^^)

Cons

The boss’s character, the salary, no benefits, an all-responsibility system, and having to clean the toilets (If I had known, I absolutely would not have gone to work there^^)

Although I had not been working there for long, two people quit at lightning speed during that period. Since they were in different positions, I did not pay much attention to it.

Later, I learned that the person previously in my position had spent a long time working on a project and then also quit very quickly. I was there to clean up the mess they left behind (I personally feel that it is fair to put it that way). I was required to complete a project within four days (a typical project would take about a month), and I did manage to complete it fairly smoothly. Later, because I was not used to this job being different from the work I had done in the past, I properly told the boss that I personally did not feel suited to this industry. After I resigned, because I needed to sign a resignation certificate, the agreed meeting location was changed repeatedly. At the time, I thought, “Forget it.” Later, after hearing from a former colleague, I found out that the boss had been acting crazy on their own: first asking to meet at my home, then at the company, and later saying they did not want me to go to the company. To be honest, I did not particularly want to go either. This ridiculous document was actually not important even if I did not sign it. If it were me now, I would drag it out forever rather than go sign it~From some small details, you can tell that the boss probably has persecutory delusions. I also learned that after I resigned, the boss was saying things about me to my colleagues. To be honest, they really are petty and narrow-minded~With such a limited outlook, you might as well properly go open that 木X牛乳店 after all.

Cons

A responsibility-based pay system; I only found out after working there for a month, when I received my salary.

After I told the boss, she repeatedly emphasized that it had definitely been mentioned during the interview.

But if I had known it was a responsibility-based system, I absolutely would not have taken the job, so I consider this claim extremely irresponsible.

I can't remember which year it was when I left, but the boss even brought up the content of the surveillance and audio monitoring.

I want to tell everyone here that audio monitoring is completely illegal in Taiwan.

Secretly recording another person's non-public activities, speech, conversations, or private body parts without cause, whether through audio recording, photography, video recording, or electromagnetic records, constitutes the crime of interference with privacy under Article 315-1, Item 2 of the Criminal Code. Illegally monitoring another person's communications also constitutes the crime of illegal wiretapping under Article 24 of the Communications Security and Surveillance Act.

What is even more unbelievable is that the boss seemed completely convinced that she was in the right.

She even asked me whether I wanted her to play the recordings for me.

If I were in that situation now, I would record it directly as evidence and then ask her to show me the recordings.

Next, I would film it and tell her that this was not only illegal but also extremely classless. All I can say is, thankfully I left.
