Legacy reviews: 10
Because the interviewer had an unexpected matter to attend to on the day of the interview, it was conducted online.
The interviewer explained the job responsibilities very clearly.
It gave me a very unprofessional impression!
A few days after the interview, they contacted me to say that they wanted to invite me to join the company. I was originally very interested in the job, but I still had other interviews pending and was waiting for hiring decisions, so I asked whether the company could give me a few days to consider. However, when I replied later (two days after they notified me that they wanted to invite me to join the team), they changed their position and said that because I lacked relevant experience and they were still considering other candidates, they could not give me an offer yet. The whole thing was incredibly confusing. Also, they kept calling me—why couldn't they just send an email?
My various experience and autobiography were clearly listed on 104. If they were so determined to find someone with experience, they should not have wasted both our time in the first place.
None
1. Very impolite to the interviewee. The boss was typing on a laptop and doing other tasks while conducting the interview... An interview is a two-way process—are you the only one who is busy!?
2. It was unbearably hot on the day of the interview. The small room was extremely stuffy, and they did not even turn on the air conditioning. Does a company really need to save money on air conditioning this way?
3. The digital marketing field can be divided into many areas. Your company clearly wanted to find an affordable, high-quality leader with experience managing ads on Facebook, Google, and LINE (which is difficult, because most ad managers in the industry generally only know how to operate one medium). However, the job description on 104 stated that the position required experience in “digital marketing strategy,” “planning marketing projects and tracking progress, managing manpower and budgets,” “using data analysis results to propose improvements beyond conventional frameworks,” “negotiating cross-industry collaborations,” and other duties. When I was halfway through my self-introduction at the interview, the boss impatiently interrupted and directly said that although having experience in other digital fields was of course good, I had never directly worked as an ad manager and might not meet their needs. The interview was hastily ended in less than half an hour... It was extremely impolite and disrespectful to the interviewee! You were the ones who invited me to interview (I did not apply on my own), and the interviewee’s résumé and experience were clearly stated. Yet you failed to screen candidates properly, causing the interviewee to spend 1.5 hours traveling there, only to be rudely rejected in less than 30 minutes! Extremely rude and disrespectful! If this is how you treat interviewees, anyone considering working there should be careful!
With no price competitiveness and being led by PC, Momo, and Shopee, let’s see how long you can hold out—everyone can grab some popcorn and watch!
4. The work environment was not very clean either. Anyone with OCD or a strong aversion to dirt should think carefully before taking a job there~
The boss and managers are all approachable and open to discussion and questions; few companies are truly this flat.
The office location is great, very close to the MRT, with plenty of convenient options for food, drinks, entertainment, and more XD
The company has quite a few employees, and the engineering team is not small either. The engineers all seem very happy.
The salary is relatively low, but the benefits are still quite good.
After the interview, I was able to clearly describe the pros and cons. Everyone was very friendly and approachable. When I went into the company after 7 p.m., I could feel that everyone had a strong sense of unity and was still working hard. It is an e-commerce company with a lot of potential for development.
The interview focused heavily on technical aspects, while the candidate’s education and work experience were not considered as important. The interviewers could have treated the candidate more courteously, as the interview made the candidate feel extremely pressured.
Suitable for people who have high expectations of themselves; you can grow quickly and learn quite a lot.
Although I feel that the supervisor has limited time, they are quite sincere in treating people. I’m very grateful to have had this experience in the workplace.
Not suitable for those looking to coast until retirement.
Not suitable for trolls.
The company is very new and moves extremely fast. It’s the fastest-growing company I’ve ever worked for (going from 10 people to over 60 in three years @@). The work pressure is not insignificant, and the boss sets very high standards, requiring monthly performance targets to grow... However, the several supervisors I’ve worked with have all been very willing to communicate with you and are down-to-earth. The phrase the company says most often is “imagination is your limit,” encouraging us to bravely try all kinds of new ideas.
The office is a bit messy. When business is good, goods get piled up to the point where there is almost no room to walk. The company allows employees to bring their children to work, so colleagues often bring their kids in when they encounter things like hand, foot, and mouth disease at school. When they get too excited while playing, it can be a bit noisy.
A startup company where there are plenty of opinions and ideas to bring up for discussion
The boss is down-to-earth and very approachable
Long working hours, with a very high frequency of overtime across departments. Overtime pay can be claimed, but supervisors will block it (which is effectively the same as not having it)
Severe internal company politics
Many directions are changed repeatedly and constantly shift
Before going to work, hourly employees had been on the job for many days, yet they still had not helped us enroll in labor and health insurance. It was absolutely terrible! The supervisor was also awful. When problems arose at work, they only blamed people without ever asking why! They only knew how to scold people.
